1Geobiological approach to evaluating marine carbonate source rocks of hydrocarbon显示文摘Evaluating the pre-Jurassic marine source rocks in China has been difficult because these rocks are generally too highor over-maturated for most traditional methods to work.As to the remaining parameter TOC (%),its lower limit for recognizing the carbonate source rocks in China has been in dispute.Nineteen Phanerozoic sections in the Middle-Upper Yangtze Platform and the Guizhou-Hunan-Guangxi Basin have been studied in search for a different approach to complementing the traditional evaluation method for these source rocks.We have applied a geobiological approach to tracing the organic carbon (OC) output and accumulation from the living stage (primary productivity) to the post-mortem deposited remains,and finally to the preserved burial organics.Four biological and geological parameters are employed to represent the OC of the three stages.A series of proxies of these parameters are discussed and integrated to establish a geobiological evaluation system independent of TOC and other traditional methods.Here we use the Guangyuan section in Sichuan as an example for the geobiological evaluation.Our results indicate that in the argillaceous rocks,the geobiological parameters show the qualified source rocks in accordance with high TOC values;but in the carbonates,the good source rocks delineated by the geobiological parameters have a wide range of TOC,from 0.03% to 1.59%,mostly<0.3%.We suggest that it is still premature to set TOC=0.3% or 0.5% as the lower limit for the pre-Jurassic carbonate source rocks in South China.YIN HongFu XIE ShuCheng YAN JiaXin HU ChaoYong HUANG JunHua Tenger QIE WenKun QIU Xuan 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,8:7

3Discovering unusual structures from exception using big data and machine learning techniques显示文摘Recently, machine learning(ML) has become a widely used technique in materials science study. Most work focuses on predicting the rule and overall trend by building a machine learning model. However,new insights are often learnt from exceptions against the overall trend. In this work, we demonstrate that how unusual structures are discovered from exceptions when machine learning is used to get the relationship between atomic and electronic structures based on big data from high-throughput calculation database. For example, after training an ML model for the relationship between atomic and electronic structures of crystals, we find AgO2 F, an unusual structure with both Ag3+and O22à, from structures whose band gap deviates much from the prediction made by our model. 4Precipitation changes in the mid-latitudes of the Chinese mainland during 1960–2014显示文摘Based on daily precipitation data from 163 meteorological stations, this study investigated precipitation changes in the mid-latitudes of the Chinese mainland(MCM) during 1960–2014 using the climatic trend coefficient, least-squared regression analysis, and a non-parametric Mann-Kendall test.According to the effects of the East Asian summer monsoon on the MCM and the climatic trend coefficient of annual precipitation during 1960–2014, we divided the MCM into the western MCM and eastern MCM. The western MCM was further divided into the western MCM1 and western MCM2 in terms of the effects of the East Asian summer monsoon. The main results were as follows:(1) During the last four decades of the 20^(th) century, the area-averaged annual precipitation presented a significant increasing trend in the western MCM, but there was a slight decreasing trend in the eastern MCM, where a seesaw pattern was apparent. However, in the 21^(st) century, the area-averaged annual precipitation displayed a significant increasing trend in both the western and eastern MCM.(2) The trend in area-averaged seasonal precipitation during 1960–2014 in the western MCM was consistent with that in the eastern MCM in winter and spring. However, the trend in area-averaged summer precipitation during1960–2014 displayed a seesaw pattern between the western and eastern MCM.(3) On an annual basis,both the trend in rainstorms and heavy rain displayed a seesaw pattern between the western and eastern MCM.(4) The precipitation intensity in rainstorms, heavy rain, and moderate rain made a greater contribution to changes in the total precipitation than precipitation frequency. The results of this study will improve our understanding of the trends and differences in precipitation changes in different areas of the MCM. 5Pump scheme optimization of an incoherently pumped high-power random fiber laser显示文摘Optical signal-to-noise ratio(OSNR) is one of the most significant parameters for the performance characterization of random fiber lasers(RFLs) and their application potentiality in sensing and telecommunication. An effective way to improve the OSNR of RFLs is pump scheme optimization, for example, employing a temporally stable source as the pump. In this paper, the output performance of an incoherently pumped RFL dependence on the pump bandwidth has been investigated both in experiment and theory. It is found that a high-OSNR RFL can be achieved with broadband amplified spontaneous emission(ASE) source pumping, and a relatively broad pump bandwidth can also help suppress the spectral broadening while maintaining an ultra-high spectral purity.By optimizing the pump bandwidth to ~10 nm, maximum OSNR of ~39 dB(corresponding to a spectral purity of ~99.96%) with more than 99 W output power can be obtained. Moreover, for the pump bandwidth of 0.6–40 nm, the spectral purity can reach as high as >99% with the pump power ranging from ~85 to ~117 W.In addition, with the aid of theoretical simulation based on a modified power balance model, we find that the increment of pump bandwidth can decrease the effective Raman gain coefficient, further influencing the gain characteristics, nonlinear effects, and eventually the output performance. 6Role of connexin 43 in odontoblastic differentiation and structural maintenance in pulp damage repair显示文摘Dental pulp can initiate its damage repair after an injury of the pulp–dentin complex by rearrangement of odontoblasts and formation of newly differentiated odontoblast-like cells.Connexin 43(Cx43)is one of the gap junction proteins that participates in multiple tissue repair processes.However,the role of Cx43 in the repair of the dental pulp remains unclear.This study aimed to determine the function of Cx43 in the odontoblast arrangement patterns and odontoblastic differentiation.Human teeth for in vitro experiments were acquired,and a pulp injury model in Sprague-Dawley rats was used for in vivo analysis.The odontoblast arrangement pattern and the expression of Cx43 and dentin sialophosphoprotein(DSPP)were assessed.To investigate the function of Cx43 in odontoblastic differentiation,we overexpressed or inhibited Cx43.The results indicated that polarized odontoblasts were arranged along the pulp–dentin interface and had high levels of Cx43 expression in the healthy teeth;however,the odontoblast arrangement pattern was slightly changed concomitant to an increase in the Cx43 expression in the carious teeth.Regularly arranged odontoblast-like cells had high levels of the Cx43 expression during the formation of mature dentin,but the odontoblastlike cells were not regularly arranged beneath immature osteodentin in the pulp injury models.Subsequent in vitro experiments demonstrated that Cx43 is upregulated during odontoblastic differentiation of the dental pulp cells,and inhibition or overexpression of Cx43 influence the odontoblastic differentiation.Thus,Cx43 may be involved in the maintenance of odontoblast arrangement patterns,and influence the pulp repair outcomes by the regulation of odontoblastic differentiation.Jiaxin Yin Jue Xu Ran Cheng Meiying Shao Yuandong Qin Hui Yang Tao Hu 2021International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,1:3
7Tribological properties of polyimide composites reinforced with fibers rubbing against Al_(2)O_(3)显示文摘Reinforcing fillers are of great importance in tribological performance and tribofilm formation of polymeric composites.In this study,the tribological properties of aramid particle(AP)and short carbon fiber(SCF)reinforced polyimide(PI)composites were added to hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN),and silica(SiO_(2))nanoparticles sliding against alumina were comprehensively investigated.When sliding occurred with AP-reinforced PI composites,the tribological properties were not closely depended on the pressure×velocity(p×v)factors and the nanoparticles.The interactions between AP and its counterpart could not induce tribo-sintering of the transferred wear debris.As such,the tribofilm seemed to be in a viscous state,leading to higher friction and wear.However,the inclusion of hard SCF into the PI matrix changed the interfacial interactions with alumina.A robust tribofilm consisting of a high fraction of silica was generated when the SCF-reinforced PI was added to the SiO_(2) nanoparticles.It exhibited a high load-carrying capability and was easily sheared.This caused a significant decrease in the friction and wear of the PI composite at 8 MPa·1m/s.Moreover,due to their high melting point,few h-BN nanoparticles were observed in the tribofilm of the SCF-reinforced PI when hexagonal boron nitride was added.Huimin QI Ga ZHANG Zhiqin ZHENG Jiaxin YU Chao HU 2021Friction2021,9,2:2

9Injectable self-healing hydrogel with siRNA delivery property for sustained STING silencing and enhanced therapy of intervertebral disc degeneration显示文摘Inflammatory responses of nucleus pulposus(NP)can induce imbalanced anabolism and catabolism of extracellular matrix,and the cytosolic dsDNA accumulation and STING-NF-κB pathway activation found in NP inflammation are considered as fairly important cause of intervertebral disc(IVD)degeneration.Herein,we constructed a siSTING delivery hydrogel of aldehyde hyaluronic acid(HA-CHO)and poly(amidoamine)PAMAM/siRNA complex to intervene the abnormal STING signal for IVD degeneration treatment,where the formation of dynamic Schiff base bonds in the system(siSTING@HPgel)was able to overcome the shortcomings such as low cellular uptake,short half-life,and rapid degradation of siRNA-based strategy.PAMAM not only formed complexes with siRNA to promote siRNA transfection,but also served as dynamic crosslinker to construct hydrogel,and the injectable and self-healing hydrogel efficiently and steadily silenced STING expression in NP cells.Finally,the siSTING@HPgel significantly eased IVD inflammation and slowed IVD degeneration by prolonging STING knockdown in puncture-induced IVD degeneration rat model,revealing that STING pathway was a therapeutic target for IVD degeneration and such novel hydrogel had great potential for being applied to many other diseases for gene delivery.Jiaxin Chen Haifeng Zhu Yutao Zhu Chenchen Zhao Shengyu Wang Yixin Zheng Ziang Xie Yang Jin Honghai Song Linjun Yang Jin Zhang Jiayong Dai Zhijun Hu Huaiyu Wang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,3:2
10Risk of tuberculosis in patients with rheumatoid arthritis treated with biological and targeted drugs:meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials显示文摘Background:Concerns exist regarding the potential development of tuberculosis in patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA)treated with biological and targeted drugs.We assessed systematically whether biological therapy increased the risk of tuberculosis in patients with RA by meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials(RCTs).Methods:A systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed,Embase,the Cochrane Library,and China Biology Medicine disc for RCTs evaluating biological therapy in patients with RA from inception through August 2021.Traditional meta-analysis and network meta-analysis were performed to compare the risk of tuberculosis for each biologics class in patients with RA.Peto odds ratio(Peto OR)and its 95%confidence interval(CI)were calculated as the primary effect measure.Results:In total,39 studies with 20,354 patients were included in this meta-analysis,and 82 patients developed tuberculosis.The risk of tuberculosis was increased in patients treated with biologics compared with non-biologics(Peto OR:3.86,95%CI:2.36-6.32,P<0.001).Also,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)inhibitors had a higher probability of developing tuberculosis than placebo(Peto OR:3.98,95%CI:2.30-6.88,P<0.001).However,network meta-analysis demonstrated that there was no significant difference in the risk of tuberculosis for each biologics class in patients with RA.Noticeably,tuberculosis was significantly more common in patients treated with a high dose compared with patients receiving a low dose of tofacitinib(Peto OR:7.39,95%CI:2.00-27.31,P=0.003).Conclusion:This meta-analysis demonstrates the evidence of an elevated risk of tuberculosis in patients with RA treated with TNF-αinhibitors,and a dose-dependent elevated risk of tuberculosis in patients treated with tofacitinib.Xiaojian Ji Lidong Hu Yiwen Wang Siliang Man Xingkang Liu Chuan Song Jiaxin Zhang Jian Zhu Jianglin Zhang Feng Huang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,4:2

12Quantitative analysis of the tribological properties of phosphate glass at the nano- and macro-scales显示文摘Processing(grinding,polishing)of phosphate laser(PL)glass involves material removal at two vastly different(spatial)scales.In this study,the nano‐and macro‐tribological properties of PL glass are investigated by rubbing the glass against a SiO_(2) counter‐surface in both dry and humid conditions.The results indicate that the friction of the PL glass/SiO_(2) pair has opposing trends at the nano‐and macroscales.At the nanoscale,the friction coefficient(COF)in humid air is much higher than in dry air,which is attributed to the capillary effect of the absorbed water‐film at the interface.At the macroscale,on the other hand,the COF in humid air is lower than in dry air,because the water‐related mechanochemical wear makes the worn surface less susceptible to cracking.Material removal for PL glass is better facilitated by humid air than by dry air at both scales,because the stress‐enhanced hydrolysis accelerates the material‐removal process in glass.Moreover,the material‐removal is more sensitive to contact pressure at the macroscale,because stronger mechanical‐interaction occurs during material removal at the macroscale with the multi asperity contact mode.At the macroscale,the material removal is more sensitive to contact pressure in humid air compared to dry air.Because almost all mechanical energy is used to remove material in humid air,and most of the mechanical energy is used to produce cracks in PL glass in dry air.The results of this study can help optimize the multi‐scale surface processing of optical glasses.Huimin QI Wen HU Hongtu HE Yafeng ZHANG Chenfei SONG Jiaxin YU 2021Friction2021,9,5:1

14An Attenuated Highly Pathogenic Chinese PRRS Viral Vaccine Confers Cross Protection to Pigs against Challenge with the Emerging PRRSV NADC30-Like Strain显示文摘A novel PRRSV strain was isolated in China that was genetically similar to the NADC30 strain which is reported to have spread throughout China. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the cross-protective efficacy of the live vaccine TJM-F92 in young pigs against challenge with a NADC30-like strain, HN201605. Twenty-five PRRSV-and antibody-free pigs were randomly divided into the following five groups: Vac/ChA, Unvac/ChA, Vac/ChB, Unvac/ChB and the mock.The pigs in groups Vac/ChA and Vac/ChB were inoculated intramuscularly with 1 mL TJM-F92(10^(5.0) TCID_(50)/mL). At28 days post vaccination(0 days post challenge), groups Vac/ChA and Unvac/ChA were inoculated intranasally with 10^(4.5) TCID_(50)/mL PRRSV strain TJ F3(2 mL/pig), while groups Vac/ChB and Unvac/Ch B were inoculated, using the same route, with the same dose of the NADC30-like strain HN201605 F3. Protective effects of the PRRSV strain were observed in all pigs in the Vac/ChA and Vac/ChB groups. Neither high fever nor signs of clinical disease were observed through the experiment in these groups, whereas pigs in Unvac/ChA group exhibited serious clinical symptoms, pathological lesions,and weight loss. In Unvac/ChB group, pigs developed milder clinical symptoms, which demonstrated that the NADC30-like strain HN201605 had moderate pathogenicity. 20Well-balanced ambipolar diketopyrrolopyrrole-based copolymers for OFETs,inverters and frequency doublers显示文摘Conjugated polymers with well-balanced ambipolar charge transport is essential for organic circuits at low cost and large area with simplified fabrication techniques.Aiming at this point,herein,a novel asymmetric thiophene/pyridine-flanked diketopyrrolopyrrole-based copolymer(PPyTDPP-2FBT)is designed and synthesized.Due to the effect of incorporating F atoms on molecular energy alignment and conjugation conformation,the PPyTDPP-2FBT copolymer exhibits typical V-shaped ambipolar field-effect transfer characteristics with well-balanced hole and electron mobilities of 0.64 and 0.46 cm^(2)V^(−1)s^(−1),respectively.Furthermore,organic digital and analog circuits such as inverters and frequency doublers are successfully constructed based on solution-processed films of the PPyTDPP-2FBT copolymers which show a typical circuit operating mode with a high gain of 133 due to the well-balanced electrical properties.In addition,PPyTDPP-2FBT-based devices also demonstrate good stability and batch repeatability,suggesting their great potential applications in organic integrated electronic circuits.Jiaxin Yang Qingqing Liu Mengxiao Hu Shang Ding Jinyu Liu Yongshuai Wang Dan Liu Haikuo Gao Wenping Hu Huanli Dong 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,8:1
