| 1 | Genetic diversity analysis of spawner and recaptured populations of Chinese shrimp(Fenneropenaeus chinensis)during stock enhancement in the Bohai Bay based on an SSR marker显示文摘Eight microsatellite markers were used to analyze genetic diversity, level of inbreeding, and effective population size of spawner and recaptured populations of Chinese shrimp(Fenneropenaeus chinensis) during stock enhancement in the Bohai Bay in 2013. A total of 254 and 238 alleles were identified in the spawner and recaptured populations, respectively, and the numbers of alleles(N_a) were 8–63 and 6–60, respectively. The numbers of effective alleles(N_e) were 2.52–21.60 and 2.67–20.72, respectively. The polymorphism information content ranged from 0.529 to 0.952. The observed heterozygosity(H_o) values(0.638–0.910 and 0.712–0.927) were lower than the expected heterozygosity(H_e) values(0.603–0.954 and 0.625–0.952), which indicated that the two populations possessed a rich genetic diversity. In 16 tests(2 populations×8 loci), 13 tests deviated from the HardyWeinberg equilibrium. F_(is) values were positive at seven loci and the inbreeding coefficients(F) of the two populations estimated by trio ML were 13.234% and 11.603%, suggesting that there was a relatively high degree of inbreeding. A certain level of inbreeding depression had occurred in the Chinese shrimp population. F_(st) values ranged from 0 to 0.059, with a mean of 0.028, displaying a low level of genetic differentiation in the two populations. Effective population sizes(3 060.2 and 3 842.8) were higher than the minimum number suggested for retaining the evolutionary potential to adapt to new environmental conditions. For enhancement activity in 2014,the ideal number of captured shrimp spawners should have ranged from 7 686 to 19 214 to maintain genetic diversity and effective population size. | 3 | Discovering unusual structures from exception using big data and machine learning techniques显示文摘Recently, machine learning(ML) has become a widely used technique in materials science study. Most work focuses on predicting the rule and overall trend by building a machine learning model. However,new insights are often learnt from exceptions against the overall trend. In this work, we demonstrate that how unusual structures are discovered from exceptions when machine learning is used to get the relationship between atomic and electronic structures based on big data from high-throughput calculation database. For example, after training an ML model for the relationship between atomic and electronic structures of crystals, we find AgO2 F, an unusual structure with both Ag3+and O22à, from structures whose band gap deviates much from the prediction made by our model. | 5 | A new MaterialGo database and its comparison with other high-throughput electronic structure databases for their predicted energy band gaps显示文摘Recently, many high-throughput calculation materials databases have been constructed and found wide applications. However, a database is only useful if its content is reliable and sufficiently accurate. It is thus of paramount importance to gauge the reliabilities and accuracies of these databases. Although many properties have been predicted accurately in these databases,electronic band gap is well known to be underestimated by traditional density functional theory(DFT) calculations under local density approximation(LDA), which becomes a challenging problem for materials database building. Here, we introduce MaterialGo(http://www.pkusam.com/data-base.html), a new database calculating the band structures of crystals using both Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof(PBE) exchange-correlation functional and Heyd-Scuseria-Ernzerhof(HSE) hybrid functional.Comparing different PBE databases, it is found that their band gaps are consistent when no U parameter is used for transition metal d-state or heavy element f-state to correct their self-interaction error, but rather different when PBE+U are used, mostly because of the different values of U used in different database. HSE calculations under standard parameters will give larger band gaps that are closer to experiment. | 8 | Braking of high-speed flows in the magnetotail:THEMIS joint observations显示文摘The motion and deceleration processes of plasma sheet high-speed flows have great significance to magnetospheric particle acceleration,magnetic field perturbation,magnetic flux transport,triggering of substorm,and the current system formation in the magnetotail.From February to April 2009,two satellites of the Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms mission,THA and THE,were often separated largely in Z direction,but had small X and Y separations.Such special configuration allows simultaneous observations of highspeed flows at the center and boundary of the plasma sheet.Based on selected case study and statistical analysis,it is found that for about 89%of the events we selected,the probe further away from the neutral sheet observed the high-speed flow earlier than the one close to the center,and the flow is mainly field aligned.And for about 95%events the probe further away from the neutral sheet observed higher X component of the plasma flow.With the hypothesis that parallel flow keeps the same speed during its earthward propagation while central plasma sheet stream uniformly or suddenly brakes on its way to the earth,we deduced the position where the deceleration begins to be between 13 Re and 17 Re downtail,where thenear-earth reconnection is supposed to occur.In addition,our statistical results show that dipolarization fronts observed in the central plasma sheet are more prominent than those observed in the plasma sheet boundary layer ahead of the high-speed flow. | Wensai Shang Zhonghua Yao Quanqi Shi Weijie Sun Suiyan Fu Jiang Liu Anmin Tian Qiugang Zong Zuyin Pu Ting Xiao Vassilis Angelopoulos | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,3: | 3 |
| 9 | Using SSR Marker to Trace Chinese Shrimp Fenneropenaeus chinensis Released in Natural Sea-A Feasible Strategy for Assessment of Release Effect in Natural Resources Recovery Program显示文摘Enhancement release has been proven effective in natural resources recovery of Chinese shrimp Fenneropenaeus chinensis in the last several decades in China, however, to assess the effectiveness of enhancement release, we still need to develop a high-efficient and easy-operational method to replace those physical-tagging release method with labor intensive, size-and number-limited. In the present study, single(with maternal known) parentage identification using eight simple sequence repeat(SSR) markers genotype fingerprint was used to trace Chinese shrimp released in Bohai Bay in 2013. A total of 884 shrimp spawners were collected from two hatcheries in Tianjin City respectively after enhancement release of shrimp larvae in May 2013. A total of 844 shrimp samples were recaptured around the release location approximately 4 months after the shrimp larvae were released into the natural sea. Genotype data of 8 SSR loci of the 1,726 samples were used for maternal-offspring parentage identification using CEervus 3.0 software. The allele number in each locus ranged from 8 to 68 with an average value of 33.25, which produced the cumulative exclusion probability with one parent known of all these sight loci up to 99%. Among the 844 recaptured shrimp samples, 448(♂:♀=212:232, gender information was lost for 4 samples) were successfully traced to their 337 maternal parents using a logarithm of odds(LOD) > 3.0 threshold. Among these 337 maternal parents, 253 had a single offspring, 62 had two offspring, 18 had three offspring, 3 had four offspring, and 1 had five offspring. For the first time, a large number of released shrimp were identified from recapture samples, and this study showed that it is possible to trace all released Chinese shrimp without using any type of physical tag in enhancement release activities. The results indicated that the alkali metal Na and alkaline earth metals Ca, Mg in coal have different effects on inherent nitrogen transformation to NH3, HCN and char-N during the lignite steam gasification. Specifically during the steam gasification of Shengli lignite, Na and Ca, Mg not only catalyze the inherent nitrogen conversions to NH3, but also promote the secondary reactions of the nascent char-N as well as the generation of NH3 from the generated HCN, meanwhile they also inhibited the inherent nitrogen conversion to HCN and char-N. | 14 | Experimental and Numerical Study of the Effect of Fuel/Air Mixing Modes on NO_(x) and CO Emissions of MILD Combustion in a Boiler Burner显示文摘The Moderate or Intense Low-oxygen Dilution (MILD) combustion is characterized by low emissions,stable combustion and low noise for various kinds of fuel,which has great potential in the industry.The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of fuel/air mixing modes on NO_(x) and CO emissions of MILD combustion in a boiler burner by experiments and numerical simulations.Three types of fuel/air mixing modes (premixing mode,diffusion mode and hybrid mode) have been considered in this study.The realizable k-ε turbulent model and the Eddy Dissipation Concept (EDC) combustion model were used in numerical simulations.In addition to the temperature near the burner head,the calculation results match very well with the axial temperature distribution at the furnace center.The flow pattern under different mixing modes is similar,while the hybrid mode has a higher OH concentration near the diffusive fuel nozzle than the premixing mode,and the corresponding position of the peak OH concentration is closer to the rear half of the furnace.The distribution of temperature is extremely uniform for the premixing mode in the main reactive zone,which is typical for MILD combustion.There is a distinct area where the reaction temperature is higher than 1600 K for the hybrid mode.Moreover,in the main reactive zone,the gas recirculation ratio is high enough to ensure flue gas recirculation,which is beneficial to achieve MILD combustion at local areas.At the location where the axial distance is greater than 0.2 m,the gas recirculation ratio of the premixing mode is larger than that of the hybrid mode,which strengthens the entrainment of hot flue gas into the recirculated gas.The experimental results show that when the thermal intensity is less than 1.67 MW·m^(-3),the NO_(x) emissions are less than 15× 10^(-6)@3.5%O_(2) in near stoichiometric ratio in the premixing mode,and the CO emissions are less than 10× 10^(-6)@3.5%O2 under the same conditions.In the diffusion mode,the NO_(x) emissions are less than 30×10^(-6)@3.5%O_(2).In order to keep NO_(x) and CO emissions low,the hybrid modes with optimized fuel distribution ratio are found under different thermal intensities. | ZHU Ziru XIONG Yan ZHENG Xianglong CHEN Weijie REN Baohe XIAO Yunhan | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2: | 1 |

| 19 | Transport Patterns and Potential Sources of Atmospheric Pollution during the ⅩⅩⅣ Olympic Winter Games Period显示文摘The attainment of suitable ambient air quality standards is a matter of great concern for successfully hosting the ⅩⅩⅣ Olympic Winter Games(OWG). Transport patterns and potential sources of pollutants in Zhangjiakou(ZJK) were investigated using pollutant monitoring datasets and a dispersion model. The PM_(2.5) concentration during February in ZJK has increased slightly(28%) from 2018 to 2021, mostly owing to the shift of main potential source regions of west-central Inner Mongolia and Mongolian areas(2015–18) to the North China Plain and northern Shanxi Province(NCPS) after 2018.Using CO as an indicator, the relative contributions of the different regions to the receptor site(ZJK) were evaluated based on the source-receptor-relationship method(SRR) and an emission inventory. We found that the relative contribution of pollutants from NCPS increased from 33% to 68% during 2019–21. Central Inner Mongolia(CIM) also has an important impact on ZJK under unfavorable weather conditions.
