1Ultrafast epitaxial growth of metre-sized single-crystal graphene on industrial Cu foil显示文摘A foundation of the modern technology that uses single-crystal silicon has been the growth of highquality single-crystal Si ingots with diameters up to 12 inches or larger. For many applications of graphene, large-area high-quality(ideally of single-crystal) material will be enabling. Since the first growth on copper foil a decade ago, inch-sized single-crystal graphene has been achieved. We present here the growth, in 20 min, of a graphene film of(5 ×50) cm^2 dimension with >99% ultra-highly oriented grains.This growth was achieved by:(1) synthesis of metre-sized single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) foil as substrate;(2)epitaxial growth of graphene islands on the Cu(1 1 1) surface;(3) seamless merging of such graphene islands into a graphene film with high single crystallinity and(4) the ultrafast growth of graphene film.These achievements were realized by a temperature-gradient-driven annealing technique to produce single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) from industrial polycrystalline Cu foil and the marvellous effects of a continuous oxygen supply from an adjacent oxide. The as-synthesized graphene film, with very few misoriented grains(if any), has a mobility up to ~23,000 cm^2 V^(-1)s^(-1)at 4 K and room temperature sheet resistance of ~230 Ω/□. 2The levels, sources and reactivity of volatile organic compounds in a typical urban area of Northeast China显示文摘Air concentrations of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) were continually measured at a monitoring site in Shenyang from 20 August to 16 September 2017. The average concentrations of alkanes, alkenes, aromatics and carbonyls were 28.54, 6.30, 5.59 and9.78 ppbv, respectively. Seven sources were identified by the Positive Matrix Factorization model based on the measurement data of VOCs and CO. Vehicle exhaust contributed the most(36.15%) to the total propene-equivalent concentration of the measured VOCs,followed by combustion emission(16.92%), vegetation emission and secondary formation(14.33%), solvent usage(10.59%), petrochemical industry emission(9.89%), petrol evaporation(6.28%), and liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) usage(5.84%). Vehicle exhaust, solvent usage and combustion emission were found to be the top three VOC sources for O_3 formation potential, accounting for 34.52%, 16.55% and 11.94%, respectively. The diurnal variation of the total VOCs from each source could be well explained by their emission characteristics,e.g., the two peaks of VOC concentrations from LPG usage were in line with the cooking times for breakfast and lunch. Wind rose plots of the VOCs from each source could reveal the possible distribution of the sources around the monitoring site. 3A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 4Genome sequencing and phylogenetic analysis of allotetraploid Salix matsudana Koidz显示文摘Polyploidy is a common phenomenon among willow species.In this study,genome sequencing was conducted for Salix matsudana Koidz(also named Chinese willow),an important greening and arbor tree species,and the genome of this species was compared with those of four other tree species in Salicaceae.The total genome sequence of S.matsudana was 655.72 Mb in size,with repeated sequences accounting for 45.97%of the total length.In total,531.43 Mb of the genome sequence could be mapped onto 38 chromosomes using the published genetic map as a reference.The genome of S.matsudana could be divided into two groups,the A and B genomes,through homology analysis with the genome of Populus trichocarpa,and the A and B genomes contained 23,985 and 25,107 genes,respectively.4DTv combined transposon analysis predicted that allotetraploidy in S.matsudana appeared~4 million years ago.The results from this study will help reveal the evolutionary history of S.matsudana and lay a genetic basis for its breeding.Jian Zhang Huwei Yuan Yujuan Li Yanhong Chen Guoyuan Liu Meixia Ye Chunmei Yu Bolin Lian Fei Zhong Yuna Jiang Jichen Xu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:3

6Catalytic Removal of PM by Li-Co Delafossite Catalysts显示文摘By using solution combustion synthesis method, several Li-Co delafossite catalysts were prepared via a highly exothermic and self-sustaining reaction. The prepared catalysts were characterized by XRD, SEM and the catalytic activities of the catalysts were evaluated by small sample experiment. It is shown that under loose contact conditions this catalyst can catalyze soot combustion at 360 ℃, and the best prepared catalyst Li Co0.9O2 can ignite soot combustion below 300 ℃. 11INPAINTING ALGORITHM FOR KINECT DEPTH MAP BASED ON FOREGROUND SEGMENTATION显示文摘The depth information of the scene indicates the distance between the object and the camera,and depth extraction is a key technology in 3D video system.The emergence of Kinect makes the high resolution depth map capturing possible.However,the depth map captured by Kinect can not be directly used due to the existing holes and noises,which needs to be repaired.We propose a texture combined inpainting algorithm in this paper.Firstly,the foreground is segmented combined with the color characteristics of the texture image to repair the foreground of the depth map.Secondly,region growing is used to determine the match region of the hole in the depth map,and to accurately position the match region according to the texture information.Then the match region is weighted to fill the hole.Finally,a Gaussian filter is used to remove the noise in the depth map.Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively repair the holes existing in the original depth map and get an accurate and smooth depth map,which can be used to render a virtual image with good quality.Zhao Bing An Ping Liu Chao Yan Jichen Li Chunhua Zhang Zhaoyang 2014Journal of Electronics(China)2014,31,1:1

14Aldosterone may induce visfatin expression via the GR-ERK1/2 signal pathway in 3T3-L1 adipocytes显示文摘The main function of aldosterone is to regulate blood pressure and electrolytic balance;however,recent studies have also focused on the effect of aldosterone on glucose metabolism especially in adipose tissue.Aldosterone was found to inhibit insulin-induced glucose uptake in 3T3-L1 adipocytes [1] and aldosterone deficiency was found to prevent high-fat-feeding-induced hyperglycemia and adipocyte dysfunction in mice [2].Visfatin,an adipokine discovered by the team of Fukuhara,is mainly released by adipose tissue [3].Treatment of 3T3-L1 adipocytes and L6 myocytes with visfatin increased basal glucose uptake,and glucose release was suppressed in H4IIEC3 hepatocytes after visfatin treatment [3].It has also been suggested that visfatin may act as a proinflammatory cytokine [4] and produce chronic inflammation in adipocytes [5].Eyileten et al.[6] reported that treatment with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor,which can reduce plasma aldosterone concentration,decreased circulating visfatin level in diabetic nephropathy patients.These findings suggest a possible interaction between the renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system(RAAS)and visfatin.Considering the important roles of aldosterone and visfatin and the association between RAAS and visfatin,we hypothesize that there may be a direct regulatory interaction between aldosterone and visfatin.To test this hypothesis,3T3-L1 adipocytes were used as the cell model and the expression of visfatin was measured by qRT-PCR and western blot analysis.Junhua Ma Xuemei Zhao Jichen Zhang Fei Sun Jiancan Lu Hongling Zhu Mingjun Gu Jingnan Wang Xiangqi Li 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,3:1

18Caffeic acid 3,4-dihydroxyphenethyl ester prevents colorectal cancer through inhibition of multiple cancer-promoting signal pathways in 1,2-Dimethylhydrazine/dextran sodium sulphate mouse model显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To elucidate the potential feature and mechanism of the caffeic acid 3,4-dihydroxyphenethyl ester(CADPE)molecule,which can prevent colorectal cancer(CRC)in the 1,2-Dimethylhydrazine(DMH)/dextran sodium sulphate(DSS)-induced mouse model.METHODS:Institute of cancer research(ICR)male mice were injected with 20 mg/kg DMH for a week.After that,2%DSS was administered in the drinking water for another 7 d.The CADPE treatment was given to the DMH/DSS induced male mice at three different periods until their sacrifice.Histopathological examination was used for observing the CRC development at colonic mucosa.Immunohistochemistry(IHC),blood cells smearing and crypt damage scoring methods were used for investigating the anti-inflammation feature of CADPE related to CRC.The reversing targets searching method was applied with artificial intelligence(AI),computeraided drug designing(CADD)and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis(IPA)techniques for predicting the potential targets and mechanism of CADPE highly related to CRC.RESULTS:The data indicated that CADPE inhibited CRC tumor development in the colitis-associated DMH/DSS induced mouse model after giving the early treatment.CADPE also impeded the acute inflammation by decreasing the infiltration of neutrophils significantly during the initial stage of CRC development.Finally,our data showed that CADPE prevented CRC by blocking active sites of three pivotal protein targets including epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR),extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)and mammalian target of rapamycin(m TOR)in two major cancer development pathways.CONCLUSIONS:CADPE effectively prevented CRC at early stage of tumor germination in the DMH/DSS mouse model highly likely due to its anti-acute inflammation characteristic and the ability of blocking EGFR,ERK and m TOR activities in two highly related CRC developing pathways.JIN Tao ZHOU Qian SHEN Jichen ZHANG Zhizhong LIAN Xiaoyuan 2024Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2024,44,1:0
19Direct fabrication of flexible tensile sensors enabled by polariton energy transfer based on graphene nanosheet films显示文摘A fundamental problem in the direct manufacturing of flexible devices is the low melting temperature of flexible substrates,which hinders the development of flexible electronics.Proposed here is an electron-cyclotron-resonance sputtering system that can batch-fabricate devices directly on flexible substrates under a low temperature by virtue of the polariton energy transfer between the plasma and the material.Flexible graphene nanosheet-embedded carbon(F-GNEC)films are manufactured directly on polyimide,polyethylene terephthalate,and polydimethylsiloxane,and how the substrate bias(electron energy),microwave power(plasma flux and energy),and magnetic field(electron flux)affect the nanostructure of the F-GNEC films is investigated,indicating that electron energy and flux contribute to the formation of standing graphene nanosheets in the film.The films have good uniformity of distribution in a large size(17 mm×17 mm),and tensile and angle sensors with a high gauge factor(0.92)and fast response(50 ms)for a machine hand are obtained by virtue of the unique nanostructure of the F-GNEC film.This work sheds light on the quantum manufacturing of carbon sensors and its applications for intelligent machine hands and virtual-reality technology.Xi Zhang Junchi Ma Wenhao Huang Jichen Zhang Chaoyang Lyu Yu Zhang Bo Wen Xin Wang Jing Ye Dongfeng Diao 2023Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2023,6,1:0
20Update on enteroviral protease 2A:Structure,function,and host factor interaction显示文摘Enteroviruses(EVs)are human pathogens commonly observed in children aged 0–5 years and adults.EV infections usually cause the common cold and hand-foot-and-mouth disease;however,more severe infections can result in multiorgan complications,such as polio,aseptic meningitis,and myocarditis.The molecular mechanisms by which enteroviruses cause these diseases are still poorly understood,but accumulating evidence points to two enterovirus proteases,2Apro and 3Cpro,as the key players in pathogenesis.The 2Apro performs post-translational proteolytic processing of viral polyproteins and cleaves several host factors to evade antiviral immune responses and promote viral replication.It was also discovered that coxsackievirus-induced cardiomyopathy was caused by 2Apro-mediated cleavage of dystrophin in cardiomyocytes,indicating that cellular protein proteolysis may play a key role in enterovirus-associated diseases.Therefore,studies of 2Apro could reveal additional substrates that may be associated with specific diseases.Here,we discuss the genetic and structural properties of 2Apro and review how the protease antagonizes innate immune responses to promote viral replication,as well as novel substrates and mechanisms for 2Apro.We also summarize the current approaches for identifying the substrates of 2Apro to discover novel mechanisms relating to certain diseases.Ying Liu Jichen Li Yong Zhang 2023Biosafety and Health2023,5,6:0
