1Temporal variations and source apportionment of volatile organic compounds at an urban site in Shijiazhuang, China显示文摘Shijiazhuang,the city with the worst air quality in China,is suffering from severe ozone pollution in summer.As the key precursors of ozone generation,it is necessary to control the Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)pollution.To have a better understanding of the pollution status and source contribution,the concentrations of 117 ambient VOCs were analyzed from April to August 2018 in an urban site in Shijiazhuang.Results showed that the monthly average concentration of total VOCs was 66.27 ppbv,in which,the oxygenated VOCs(37.89%),alkanes(33.89%),and halogenated hydrocarbons(13.31%)were the main composite on.Eight major sources were identified using Positive Matrix Factorization modeling with an accurate VOCs emission inventory as inter-complementary methods revealed that the petrochemical industry(26.24%),other industrial sources(15.19%),and traffic source(12.24%)were the major sources for ambient VOCs in Shijiazhuang.The spatial distributions of major industrial activities emissions were identified by using geographic information statistics system,which illustrated the VOCs was mainly from the north and southeast of Shijiazhuang.The inverse trajectory analysis using Hybrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory(HYSPLIT)and Potential Source Contribution Function(PSCF)clearly demonstrated the features of pollutant transport to Shijiazhuang.These findings can provide references for local governments regarding control strategies to reduce VOCs emissions.Yanan Guan Lei Wang Shujuan Wang Yihao Zhang Jieying Xiao Xiaoli Wang Erhong Duan Li'an Hou 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,11:19
2Algal toxicity induced by effluents from textiledyeing wastewater treatment plants显示文摘This research aimed to evaluate the alga Scenedesmus obliquus toxicity induced by textiledyeing effluents(TDE).The toxicity indicator of TDE in alga at the physiological(algal growyth),biochemical(chlorophyll-a(Chl-a)synthesis and superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity)and structural(cell membrane integrity)level were investigated.Then we further study the relationship among toxicity indicators at physiological and biochemical level,and supplemented by research on algal biomacromolecules.According to the analysis of various endpoints of the alga,the general sensitivity sequence of toxicity endpoints of Scenedesmus obliquus was:SOD activity>Chl-a synthesis>algal growth.The stimulation rate of SOD activity increased from day 3(57.25%~83.02%)to day 6(57.25%~103.81%),and then decreased on day 15(-4.23%^-32.96%),which indicated that the antioxidant balance system of the algal cells was destroyed.The rate of Chl-a synthesis inhibition increased gradually,reaching19.70%~79.39%on day 15,while the rate of growth inhibition increased from day 3(-12.90%~10.16%)to day 15(-21.27%~72.46%).Moreover,the algal growth inhibition rate was positively correlated with the inhibition rate of SOD activity or Chl-a synthesis,with the correlation coefficients were 0.6713 and 0.5217,respectively.Algal cells would be stimulating to produce excessive reactive oxygen species,which would cause peroxidation in the cells,thereby destroying chloroplasts,inhibiting chlorophyll synthesis and reducing photosynthesis.With increasing exposure time,irreversible damage to algae can lead to death.This study is expected to enhance our understanding of the ecological risks through algal tests caused by TDE.Hualing Cai Jieying Liang Xun-an Ning Xiaojun Lai Yang Li 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,5:6
3Macroeconomic control,political costs and earnings management:Evidence from Chinese listed real estate companies显示文摘Firms in China have faced high political costs during China's economic transition,because they are affected by macroeconomic policies.However,research to date has offered no consistent conclusions on the relationship between political costs and earnings management in China.This study tests whether real estate firms attempt to decrease earnings during periods of macroeconomic control,using variables related to the national real estate market as proxies for political costs.We find that political costs are negatively related to earnings management in listed real estate firms.In addition,we find that non-state-owned enterprises utilized more income-decreasing accruals during this period.Our results are consistent with the political costs hypothesis.Donghua Chen Jieying Li Shangkun Liang Guojun Wang 2011China Journal of Accounting Research2011,,3:5
4A fiber optoacoustic guide with augmented reality for precision breastconserving surgery显示文摘Lumpectomy,also called breast-conserving surgery,has become the standard surgical treatment for early-stage breast cancer.However,accurately locating the tumor during a lumpectomy,especially when the lesion is small and nonpalpable,is a challenge.Such difficulty can lead to either incomplete tumor removal or prolonged surgical time,which result in high re-operation rates(~25%)and increased surgical costs.Here,we report a fiber optoacoustic guide(FOG)with augmented reality(AR)for sub-millimeter tumor localization and intuitive surgical guidance with minimal interference.The FOG is preoperatively implanted in the tumor.Under external pulsed light excitation,the FOG omnidirectionally broadcasts acoustic waves through the optoacoustic effect by a specially designed nano-composite layer at its tip.By capturing the acoustic wave,three ultrasound sensors on the breast skin triangulate the FOG tip’s position with 0.25-mm accuracy.An AR system with a tablet measures the coordinates of the ultrasound sensors and transforms the FOG tip’s position into visual feedback with<1-mm accuracy,thus aiding surgeons in directly visualizing the tumor location and performing fast and accurate tumor removal.We further show the use of a head-mounted display to visualize the same information in the surgeons’first-person view and achieve hands-free guidance.Towards clinical application,a surgeon successfully deployed the FOG to excise a“pseudo tumor”in a female human cadaver.With the high-accuracy tumor localization by FOG and the intuitive surgical guidance by AR,the surgeon performed accurate and fast tumor removal,which will significantly reduce re-operation rates and shorten the surgery time.Lu Lan Yan Xia Rui Li Kaiming Liu Jieying Mai Jennifer Anne Medley Samilia Obeng-Gyasi Linda K.Han Pu Wang Ji-Xin Cheng 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:4
5Gap-free genome assembly and comparative analysis reveal the evolution and anthocyanin accumulation mechanism of Rhodomyrtus tomentosa显示文摘Rhodomyrtus tomentosa is an important f leshy-fruited tree and a well-known medicinal plant of the Myrtaceae family that is widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical areas of the world.However,studies on the evolution and genomic breeding of R.tomentosa were hindered by the lack of a reference genome.Here,we presented a chromosome-level gap-free T2T genome assembly of R.tomentosa using PacBio and ONT long read sequencing.We assembled the genome with size of 470.35 Mb and contig N50 of∼43.80 Mb with 11 pseudochromosomes.A total of 33382 genes and 239.31 Mb of repetitive sequences were annotated in this genome.Phylogenetic analysis elucidated the independent evolution of R.tomentosa starting from 14.37MYA and shared a recent WGD event with other Myrtaceae species.We identified four major compounds of anthocyanins and their synthetic pathways in R.tomentosa.Comparative genomic and gene expression analysis suggested the coloring and high anthocyanin accumulation in R.tomentosa tends to be determined by the activation of anthocyanin synthesis pathway.The positive selection and up-regulation of MYB transcription factors were the implicit factors in this process.The copy number increase of downstream anthocyanin transport-related OMT and GST gene were also detected in R.tomentosa.Expression analysis and pathway identification enriched the importance of starch degradation,response to stimuli,effect of hormones,and cell wall metabolism during the f leshy fruit development in Myrtaceae.Our genome assembly provided a foundation for investigating the origins and differentiation of Myrtaceae species and accelerated the genetic improvement of R.tomentosa.angping Li Shiqiang Xu Zitong Xiao Jingming Wang Yu Mei Haifei Hu Jingyu Li Jieying Liu Zhuangwei Hou Junliang Zhao Shaohai Yang Jihua Wang 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,3:3
6A novel hydrogen peroxide biosensor based on the BPT/AuNPs/graphene/HRP composite显示文摘A novel hydrogen peroxide biosensor based on the BPT/AuNPs/graphene/HRP composite was developed. Firstly, graphene was prepared under the protection of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), and then the AuNPs/graphene composite was synthesized via in situ decoration. Using biphenyldimethanethiol (BPT) as a connector, the AuNPs/graphene composite was immobilized on the surface of the Au electrode, and whereafter the horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was decorated on the surface of the composite by adsorption. The morphology and structure of the products were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM and UV-visible spectroscopy. The electrocatalytic performance of the resulting BPT/AuNPs/grapheme/HRP composite (namely, biosensor) was studied by electrochemical instrument. The results show that the biosensor has high sensitivity and fast response to H2O2. 9Recent advances and challenges in microbial production of human milk oligosaccharides显示文摘Human milk oligosaccharides(HMOs)are one of the major differences between livestock milk and human milk,and the prebiotic functions of HMOs have been verified through in vitro and clinical trials.The most abundant HMOs include 2′-fucysollactose(2′-FL),3-fucosyllactose(3-FL),lacto-N-neotetraose(LNnT)and lacto-N-tetraose(LNT);their application and synthesis have attracted wide attentions.In recent years,the biotechnological production of 2′-FL,3-FL,LNnT and LNT have emerged based on techniques such as whole-cell catalysis and fermentation.In particular,the development of metabolic engineering and synthetic biology methods and strategies have facilitated efficient biosynthesis of these HMOs.However,these advantages have not been systematically reviewed yet.In this review,we first discuss the structures and applications of HMOs;secondly,strategies of microbial synthesis of the most abundant 2′-FL,3-FL,LNnT and LNT are summarized and compared.Finally,challenges and perspectives of efficient microbial production of HMOs as well as strategies for overcoming the challenges are discussed.This review reveals the whole picture of recent development in HMOs microbial synthesis and can further facilitate the understanding of limiting factors,and further propose a few directions to promote the development of efficient production hosts.Jieying Deng Xueqin Lv Jianghua Li Guocheng Du Jian Chen Long Liu 2021Systems Microbiology and Biomanufacturing2021,1,1:2
10Two novel terpyridine-based chromophores with donor-acceptor structural model containing modified triphenylamine moiety: Synthesis, crystal structures and two-photon absorption properties显示文摘Two novel terpyridine-based chromophores with D-A (D = donor, A = acceptor) structural model containing modified triphenylamine moiety (L1 and L2 ) have been conveniently synthesized via formylation and reduction in satisfactory yields, and fully characterized. The single crystals of them were obtained and determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The relationships between structure and photophysical properties of the two chromophores were investigated both experimentally and theoretically. The measured maximum TPA cross-sections per molecular weight (δmax /MW) of the chromophores are 0.63 GM/(g mol) (L1) and 0.72 GM/(g mol) (L2), respectively, in DMF as a high polar solvent. 13Sociological Features of the Casualties from the 1996 M_S7.0 Lijiang Earthquake, Yunnan Province显示文摘A statistics analysis was conducted on the basic information about fatalities from the Lijiang MS7.0 earthquake in 1996. The factors include age, gender, educational background, occupation, cause of death, death place, etc. We found that even though deaths caused by the Lijiang earthquake had some common features with those from earthquakes in other places in China, it also showed some specific features because of the multiracial and economically-underdeveloped situation of Lijiang area. 14Mesenchymal stromal cells alleviate acute respiratory distress syndrome through the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway显示文摘Mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs)have been considered a promising alternative for treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).However,there is significant heterogeneity in their therapeutic efficacy,largely owing to the incomplete understanding of the mechanisms underlying the therapeutic activities of MSCs.Here,we hypothesize that the cholinergic antiinflammatory pathway(CAP),which is recognized as a neuroimmunological pathway,may be involved in the therapeutic mechanisms by which MSCs mitigate ARDS.Using lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and bacterial lung inflammation models,we found that inflammatory cell infiltration and Evans blue leakage were reduced and that the expression levels of choline acetyltransferase(ChAT)and vesicular acetylcholine transporter(VAChT)in lung tissue were significantly increased 6 hours after MSC infusion.When the vagus nerve was blocked orα7 nicotinic acetylcholine(ACh)receptor(α7nAChR)-knockout mice were used,the therapeutic effects of MSCs were significantly reduced,suggesting that the CAP may play an important role in the effects of MSCs in ARDS treatment.Our results further showed that MSC-derived prostaglandin E2(PGE2)likely promoted ACh synthesis and release.Additionally,based on the efficacy of nAChR andα7nAChR agonists,we found that lobeline,the nicotinic cholinergic receptor excitation stimulant,may attenuate pulmonary inflammation and alleviate respiratory symptoms of ARDS patients in a clinical study(ChiCTR2100047403).In summary,we reveal a previously unrecognized MSC-mediated mechanism of CAP activation as the means by which MSCs alleviate ARDS-like syndrome,providing insight into the clinical translation of MSCs or CAP-related strategies for the treatment of patients with ARDS.Xiaoran Zhang Xuxia Wei Yiwen Deng Xiaofeng Yuan Jiahao Shi Weijun Huang Jing Huang Xiaoyong Chen Shuwei Zheng Jieying Chen Keyu Chen Ruiming Xu Hongmiao Wang Weiqiang Li Shiyue Li Huimin Yi Andy Peng Xiang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,10:1

16Synthesis, crystal structures and electrochemical properties of two new metal-centered ferrocene complexes显示文摘Two new metal-centered ferrocene complexes Ni(SCN)2(L)4 (1) and Cu(OAc)2(L)2 (2) (L = 1-[1-ferro- cenylmethyl]imidazole) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, spectroscopic and cyclic voltammetric measurements. The geometry of Ni(Ⅱ) in 1 is octahedral, with four ligands in the equatorial plan and two thiocyanate anions at the axial site, while that of Cu(Ⅱ) in 2 is a distorted octahedron formed by two chealted OAc- and two ligands. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies reveal that there is partial electron delocalization from ferrocene to imidazole in the two complexes. 19Cation-induced assembly of Zn(Ⅱ),Cd(Ⅱ) and Hg(Ⅱ) coordination complexes and DFT calculations to evaluate weak interactions between the helical chains显示文摘Two new coordination polymers [ZnLI2]∞ (1) and [CdLI2]∞ (2) (L: 3,6-di-(1,2,4-triazole-1-yl)-N-hexylcarbazole) were synthesized and their crystal structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques.Complexes are both constructed with the helical chains along the 21 screw axis.The coordination bond,C-H···I weak interactions and π-πinteractions play significant roles in constructing their 3D or 2D frameworks.Two different DFT calculations are performed for the weak interactions between the helical chains of the three different coordination polymers ([ZnLI2]∞,[CdLI2]∞ and the reported [HgLI2]∞).The results reveal that weak interactions play important roles in these supramolecular systems of helical configuration,namely,the trend is the shorter H···I distance and π-π stacking distance,the stronger the intermolecular interactions.The photoluminescence of the complexes measured in the solid state at room temperature indicates that the emission intensity varies extensively,which can be rationalized by the heavy atom effect.GENG WenQian LI XianLei YIN JianHui KE WeiZai HAO FuYin XU GuoYi ZHOU HongPing WU JieYing TIAN YuPeng 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,1:0
20Crystal structures,two-photon absorption and theoretical calculation of a series of bis-vinylpyridine compounds synthesized by one-step solid state reaction显示文摘Three bis-vinylpyridine compounds (4,4′-bis(2-vinylpyridine)biphenyl L1,4,4′-bis(3-vinylpyridine) biphenyl L2,and 4,4′-bis (4-vinylpyridine)biphenyl L3) were synthesized by one-step solid-state reactions at room temperature,giving nearly quantitative yields. The compounds obtained were fully characterized by IR,MS and NMR spectroscopies. The structures of L2 and L3 were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. No noticeable solvatochromism was observed in either one-photon absorption or one-photon excited fluorescence spectra. All of the compounds have high fluorescence quantum yields and long fluorescence lifetime. The linear and nonlinear optical properties of the compounds were investigated both experimentally and theoretically.
