1Duck egg drop syndrome virus:an emerging Tembusu-related flavivirus in China显示文摘Duck egg drop syndrome virus(DEDSV) is a newly emerging pathogenic flavivirus isolated from ducks in China.DEDSV infection mainly results in severe egg drop syndrome in domestic poultry,which leads to huge economic losses.Thus,the discovery of ways and means to combat DEDSV is urgent.Since 2010,a remarkable amount of progress concerning DEDSV research has been achieved.Here,we review current knowledge on the epidemiology,symptomatology,and pathology of DEDSV.A detailed dissection of the viral genome and polyprotein sequences,comparative analysis of viral antigenicity and the corresponding potential immunity against the virus are also summarized.Current findings indicate that DEDSV should be a distinct species from Tembusu virus.Moreover,the adaption of DEDSV in wildlife and its high homology to pathogenic flaviviruses(e.g.,West Nile virus,Japanese encephalitis virus,and dengue virus),illustrate its reemergence and potential to become a zoonotic pathogen that should not be overlooked.Detailed insight into the antigenicity and corresponding immunity against the virus is of clear significance for the development of vaccines and antiviral drugs specific for DEDSV.LIU PeiPei LU Hao LI Shuang WU Ying George Fu GAO SU JingLiang 2013Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,8:28

3Dopamine D4 Receptor Gene Associated with the Frontal-Striatal-Cerebellar Loop in Children with ADHD: A Resting-State fMRI Study显示文摘Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)is a common childhood neuropsychiatric disorder that has been linked to the dopaminergic system. This study aimed to investigate the effects of regulation of the dopamine D4 receptor(DRD4) on functional brain activity during the resting state in ADHD children using the methods of regional homogeneity(Re Ho) and functional connectivity(FC). Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data were analyzed in 49 children with ADHD. All participants were classified as either carriers of the DRD44-repeat/4-repeat(4 R/4 R) allele(n = 30) or the DRD42-repeat(2 R) allele(n = 19). The results showed that participants with the DRD4 2 R allele had decreased Re Ho bilaterally in the posterior lobes of the cerebellum, while Re Ho was increased in the left angular gyrus. Compared with participants carrying the DRD4 4 R/4 R allele, those with the DRD4 2 R allele showed decreased FC to the left angular gyrus in the left striatum, right inferior frontal gyrus, and bilateral lobes of the cerebellum. The increased FC regions included the left superior frontal gyrus, medial frontal gyrus, and rectus gyrus. These data suggest that the DRD4 polymorphisms are associated with localized brain activity and specific functional connections, including abnormality in the frontal-striatal-cerebellar loop. 5Provenance of Central Canyon in Qiongdongnan Basin as evidenced by detrital zircon U-Pb study of Upper Miocene sandstones显示文摘Deep-water canyon systems can provide important sandstone reservoirs for deep-water oil and gas exploration in the South China Sea;however,the sedimentary provenance of the Central Canyon in the Qiongdongnan Basin remains controversial.In this work,detrital zircon grains from three drilling sandstones in the Upper Miocene Huangliu Formation in the western part of the Central Canyon were analysed by LA-ICP-MS for U-Pb ages,in order to constrain their provenance.One hundred and ninety-one zircon grains yield concordant U-Pb ages ranging from 28.6 to 3285 Ma.Most of them show oscillatory or linear zoning in CL-images and high Th/U ratios(>0.1),suggesting that they are magmatic zircons.Three major age clusters at about30 Ma(N=6),220–270 Ma(N=29),and 420–440 Ma(N=13),and five minor age clusters at 70–110 Ma(N=7),150–170 Ma(N=4),800–850 Ma(N=11),1800–2000 Ma(N=16),and 2400–2600 Ma(N=7),can be identified in the age spectrum,which are very similar to those of the Upper Miocene sandstones and modern river sands in the Red River area,but different from those of other nearby regions(e.g.,Hainan Island,the Pearl River area,and the Mekong River area)in Southeast Asia.The major age peak at about 30 Ma in our samples is consistent with the timing of tectonothermal events in the Red River Fault Zone.Therefore,we suggest that the provenance of the western part of the Central Canyon,in the Qiongdongnan Basin,was fed dominantly by the Paleo-Red River system during the Late Miocene.CHEN Hui XIE XiNong GUO JingLiang SU Ming ZONG KeQing SHANG Fei HUANG Wei WANG Wei SHANG ZhiLei 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,8:6
6Beyond Antibiotics:Photo/Sonodynamic Approaches for Bacterial Theranostics显示文摘Rapid evolution and propagation of multidrug resistance among bacterial pathogens are outpacing the development of new antibiotics,but antimicrobial photodynamic therapy(aPDT)provides an excellent alternative.This treatment depends on the interaction between light and photoactivated sensitizer to generate reactive oxygen species(ROS),which are highly cytotoxic to induce apoptosis in virtually all microorganisms without resistance concern.When replacing light with low-frequency ultrasonic wave to activate sensitizer,a novel ultrasounddriven treatment emerges as antimicrobial sonodynamic therapy(aSDT).Recent advances in aPDT and aSDT reveal golden opportunities for the management of multidrug resistant bacterial infections,especially in the theranostic application where imaging diagnosis can be accomplished facilely with the inherent optical characteristics of sensitizers,and the generated ROS by aPDT/SDT cause broad-spectrum oxidative damage for sterilization.In this review,we systemically outline the mechanisms,targets,and current progress of aPDT/SDT for bacterial theranostic application.Furthermore,potential limitations and future perspectives are also highlighted.Xin Pang Dengfeng Li Jing Zhu Jingliang Cheng Gang Liu 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,10:6
7Evaluating ischemic stroke with diffusion tensor imaging显示文摘Objective:In recent years,diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) has emerged as a promising tool to study ischemic stroke. The aim of this study is to evaluate the anisotropic changes of cerebral white matter tracks in patients with ischemic stroke using DTI,and investigate the correlation between corticospinal tract damage and muscle strength in such patients during acute ischemia.Method:9 patients with acute ischemic stroke and 9 healthy subjects were examined with T1 weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI),T2 weighted MRI and DTI. Fractional anisotropy (FA) was measured and the three-dimensional fibrous band images of bilateral corticospinal tracts were reconstructed. The muscle strength of the affected hand was assessed by Brunnstorm standard[1],which is an internationally recognized measure of movement in hemiplegic patients.Results:①In the control group,there was no significant difference in FA between the bilateral corticospinal tracts,but FA in different white matter structure of the same side was significantly different (t=3.12,P < 0.05). FA of posterior limb of internal capsule was higher than that of knee and anterior limb of internal capsule,FA of anterior limb of internal capsule was the lowest. while in the patient group,FA of the infarcted sites was significantly lower than the contralateral ones (t=5.570,P < 0.01). ②The ipsilateral corticospinal tract demonstrated continuous interruption and the loss of consistent anatomic structure. The involved severity of corticospinal tract had significant correlation with that of muscle strength of the ipsilateral hand (r=0.83,P < 0.01).Conclusion:This study shows that DTI can be used to investigate ischemic stroke and assess ischemic stroke-induced damage. 9Nanosecond-pulsed, dual-wavelength, passively Q-switched ytterbium-doped bulk laser based on few-layer MoS2 saturable absorber显示文摘A compact saturable absorber mirror(SAM) based on few-layer molybdenum disulfide(MoS2) nanoplatelets was fabricated and successfully used as an efficient saturable absorber(SA) for the passively Q-switched solid-state laser at 1 μm wavelength. Pulses as short as 182 ns were obtained from a ytterbium-doped(Yb:LGGG) bulk laser Q-switched by the MoS2 SAM, which we believe to be the shortest one ever achieved from the MoS2 SAs-based Q-switched bulk lasers. A maximum average output power of 0.6 W was obtained with a slope efficiency of 24%,corresponding to single pulse energy up to 1.8 μJ. In addition, the simultaneous dual-wavelength Q-switching at 1025.2 and 1028.1 nm has been successfully achieved. 10Adaptive event-triggered distributed optimal guidance design via adaptive dynamic programming显示文摘In this paper,the multi-missile cooperative guidance system is formulated as a general nonlinear multi-agent system.To save the limited communication resources,an adaptive eventtriggered optimal guidance law is proposed by designing a synchronization-error-driven triggering condition,which brings together the consensus control with Adaptive Dynamic Programming(ADP)technique.Then,the developed event-triggered distributed control law can be employed by finding an approximate solution of event-triggered coupled Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman(HJB)equation.To address this issue,the critic network architecture is constructed,in which an adaptive weight updating law is designed for estimating the cooperative optimal cost function online.Therefore,the event-triggered closed-loop system is decomposed into two subsystems:the system with flow dynamics and the system with jump dynamics.By using Lyapunov method,the stability of this closed-loop system is guaranteed and all signals are ensured to be Uniformly Ultimately Bounded(UUB).Furthermore,the Zeno behavior is avoided.Simulation results are finally provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.Teng LONG Yan CAO Jingliang SUN Guangtong XU 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,7:4
11Temporal and spatial cellular and molecular pathological alterations with single-cell resolution in the adult spinal cord after injury显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI)involves diverse injury responses in different cell types in a temporally and spatially specific manner.Here,using single-cell transcriptomic analyses combined with classic anatomical,behavioral,electrophysiological analyses,we report,with single-cell resolution,temporal molecular and cellular changes in crush-injured adult mouse spinal cord.Data revealed pathological changes of 12 different major cell types,three of which infiltrated into the spinal cord at distinct times post-injury.We discovered novel microglia and astrocyte subtypes in the uninjured spinal cord,and their dynamic conversions into additional stage-specific subtypes/states.Most dynamic changes occur at 3-days post-injury and by day-14 the second wave of microglial activation emerged,accompanied with changes in various cell types including neurons,indicative of the second round of attacks.By day-38,major cell types are still substantially deviated from uninjured states,demonstrating prolonged alterations.This study provides a comprehensive mapping of cellular/molecular pathological changes along the temporal axis after SCI,which may facilitate the development of novel therapeutic strategies,including those targeting microglia.Chen Li Zhourui Wu Liqiang Zhou Jingliang Shao Xiao Hu Wei Xu Yilong Ren Xingfei Zhu Weihong Ge Kunshan Zhang Jiping Liu Runzhi Huang Jing Yu Dandan Luo Xuejiao Yang Wenmin Zhu Rongrong Zhu Changhong Zheng Yi Eve Sun Liming Cheng 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4:4
12Essential roles of stat5.1/stat5b in controlling fish somatic growth显示文摘Signal transducer and activator of transcription 5b(STAT5b) has been identified as a key downstream mediator of growth hormone(GH) signaling in somatic growth of mammalian. However, the corresponding homologue gene of Stat5b is unknown in fish species. In this study, we generated loss-offunction mutants in stat5.1 and stat5.2, two stat5 homologues existing in zebrafish. In stat5.1-deficient zebrafish, a significant reduction of body length and body weight was detected in the embryos/larvae and adults compared with the wild-type control fish, and sexual size dimorphism in adult zebrafish was also eliminated. However, the stat5.2-deficient zebrafish displayed a normal developmental phenotype during all lifespan. Chromatin immunoprecipitation combined with deep sequencing(Ch IP-seq) method was adopted to further investigate the potential transcriptional targets of Stat5 protein and cast much light upon the biological function of Stat5. We identified more than 800 genes as transcriptional targets of Stat5 during zebrafish embryogenesis. KEGG analysis indicated that the Stat5 target gene network is predominantly linked to the metabolic pathways, neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction and JAK-STAT signaling pathways. Further validation studies suggested that Stat5.1 protein could directly regulate the expression of gh1, and stat5.1-mutated zebrafish showed a reduction of gh1 mRNA level. In the present study, stat5.1 was revealed as the corresponding homologue gene of Stat5b in fish species. 13Broadband rhenium disulfide optical modulator for solid-state lasers显示文摘Rhenium disulfide(ReS_2), a member of group Ⅶ transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs), has attracted increasing attention because of its unique distorted 1T structure and electronic and optical properties, which are much different from those of group Ⅵ TMDs(MoS_2, WS_2, MoSe_2, WSe_2, etc.). It has been proved that bulk ReS_2 behaves as a stack of electronically and vibrationally decoupled monolayers, which offers remarkable possibilities to prepare a monolayer ReS_2 facilely and offers a novel platform to study photonic properties of TMDs. However,due to the large and layer-independent bandgap, the nonlinear optical properties of ReS_2 from the visible to midinfrared spectral range have not yet been investigated. Here, the band structure of ReS_2 with the introduction of defects is simulated by the ab initio method, and the results indicate that the bandgap can be reduced from 1.38 to 0.54 eV with the introduction of defects in a suitable range. In the experiment, using a bulk ReS_2 with suitable defects as the raw material, a few-layered broadband ReS_2 saturable absorber(SA) is prepared by the liquid phase exfoliation method. Using the as-prepared ReS_2 SA, passively Q-switched solid-state lasers at wavelengths of 0.64,1.064, and 1.991 μm are investigated systematically. Moreover, with cavity design, a femtosecond passively modelocked laser at 1.06 μm is successfully realized based on the as-prepared ReS_2 SA for the first time. The results present a promising alternative for a rare broadband optical modulator and indicate the potential of ReS_2 in generating Q-switched and mode-locked pulsed lasers. 14Inhibitive effect on apoptosis in splenic lymphocytes of mice pretreated with Lingzhi (GanodermaLucidum) spores显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate how the pretreatment of mice with Ganoderma spores affected the apoptosis of their splenic lymphocytes induced by dexamethasone after 19 days treatment.METHODS: Sixty Kunming mice were randomly divided into six groups: blank control groupdrenched with normal saline; a drug control group drenched with 150 mg/mL Ganoderma spores; a model group treated with saline; a low dose group with50 mg/mL Ganoderma spores; a moderate dose group with 100 mg/mL Ganoderma spores; and a high dose group with 150 mg/mL Ganoderma spores. The effect of Ganoderma spores on apoptosis in spleen lymphocytes was analyzed. All groups were treated for 19 days. On day 20, the model group and the 3 treatment groups were intraperitoneally injected dexamethasone to induce apoptosis. Splenic index and apoptosis indes were employed to measure cell apoptosis.RESULTS: The results showed that Ganoderma spores reduced the splenic index to different degrees in each group and the best effect was seen in the high dose group(P<0.05).Terminal dexynucleotidyl transferase(TdT)-mediated 2'-Deoxyuridine5'-Triphosphate nick end labeling staining revealed that the apoptotic index in all groups administered Ganoderma spores differed significantly from the model group, and a dose-response was observed.Flow cytometric analysis indicated that spleen lymphocyte apoptosis in the model group was extensive. Each dose of Ganoderma spores inhibited dexamethasone-induced apoptosis in spleen lymphocytes, and a dose-response was observed as well. 15Development of a mobile powered hole digger for orchard tree cultivation using a slider-crank feed mechanism显示文摘The powered hole digger is one of the most important orchard machines.The power consumption of its drill is an important factor affecting the performance and operation of the device.The drill power consumption of the digger at a constant feed rate is directly proportional to digging depth.This research discusses a newly designed powered hole digger using a slider-crank feed mechanism.The motion characteristics of the powered hole digger feeding mechanism was analysed.Additionally,an experiment was conducted to determine the characteristics of the drill power consumption.It can be concluded that there was a positive correlation between the drill power consumption and the powered hole digger feed rate.It was observed that when digging depth reached 200 mm,the drill power consumption reached the maximum power rating;subsequently the drill power consumption decreased with an increase of digging depth.When the drill reached the bottom of the hole,the power consumption of the new powered hole digger did not exceed the maximum designed power rating,hence the drill motor would not stall.Zong Wangyuan Wang Jingliang Huang Xiaomao Yu Dong Zhao Yingbiao Sean Graham 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,3:3
16Differences and Links between the East Asian and South Asian Summer Monsoon Systems:Characteristics and Variability显示文摘This paper analyzes the differences in the characteristics and spatio–temporal variabilities of summertime rainfall and water vapor transport between the East Asian summer monsoon(EASM) and South Asian summer monsoon(SASM) systems. The results show obvious differences in summertime rainfall characteristics between these two monsoon systems. The summertime rainfall cloud systems of the EASM show a mixed stratiform and cumulus cloud system, while cumulus cloud dominates the SASM. These differences may be caused by differences in the vertical shear of zonal and meridional circulations and the convergence of water vapor transport fluxes. Moreover, the leading modes of the two systems' summertime rainfall anomalies also differ in terms of their spatiotemporal features on the interannual and interdecadal timescales. Nevertheless, several close links with respect to the spatiotemporal variabilities of summertime rainfall and water vapor transport exist between the two monsoon systems. The first modes of summertime rainfall in the SASM and EASM regions reveal a significant negative correlation on the interannual and the interdecadal timescales. This close relationship may be linked by a meridional teleconnection in the regressed summertime rainfall anomalies from India to North China through the southeastern part over the Tibetan Plateau, which we refer to as the South Asia/East Asia teleconnection pattern of Asian summer monsoon rainfall. 17Inhibition of intracellular proton-sensitive Ca^(2+)-permeable TRPV3 channels protects against ischemic brain injury显示文摘Ischemic brain stroke is pathologically characterized by tissue acidosis, sustained calcium entry and progressive cell death. Previous studies focusing on antagonizing N-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA) receptors have failed to translate any clinical benefits, suggesting a non-NMDA mechanism involved in the sustained injury after stroke. Here, we report that inhibition of intracellular proton-sensitive Ca^(2+)-permeable transient receptor potential vanilloid 3(TRPV3) channel protects against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(I/R) injury. TRPV3 expression is upregulated in mice subjected to cerebral I/R injury. Silencing of TRPV3 reduces intrinsic neuronal excitability, excitatory synaptic transmissions, and also attenuates cerebral I/R injury in mouse model of transient middle cerebral artery occlusion(tMCAO). Conversely, overexpressing or re-expressing TRPV3 increases neuronal excitability, excitatory synaptic transmissions and aggravates cerebral I/R injury. Furthermore, specific inhibition of TRPV3 by natural forsythoside B decreases neural excitability and attenuates cerebral I/R injury. 19The Numerical Simulation on Hollow Part's Precise Sizing Process With Cross-wedge Rolling显示文摘The hollow parts formed with cross-wedge rolling (CWR) have a wide application in many fields, such as architecture and automobile, etc. But the finished configuration of part’s cross section was always ellipse and it was hard to make it satisfied with traditional forming process. This paper proposed a FEM model of hollow workpiece of CWR in the sizing process, and simulated the deformation condition using the ANSYS program. Three kinds of parts with different wall thickness were calculated. Some stress and strain fields of the deformed hollow parts at various conditions are gained. The influence of wall thickness on the distribution of stress and strain was analyzed. The paper also found two phenomena, which never have been seen at traditional experiment, and author tried to give some explanations. The ANSYS program provided the relationship between the tolerance of the deformed workpiece and the deforming parameter. It is helpful to design the sizing dies of a new precise forming process of hollow parts on the CWR. The new process that designed through the information of FEM improved the accuracy of hollow parts on CWR. 20Nonlinear optical absorption properties of InP nanowires and applications as a saturable absorber显示文摘Indium phosphide(InP)nanowires(NWs)have attracted significant attention due to their exotic properties that are different from the bulk counterparts,and have been widely used for light generation,amplification,detection,modulation,and switching,etc.Here,high-quality InP NWs were directly grown on a quartz substrate by the Au-nanoparticle assisted vapor-liquid-solid method.We thoroughly studied their nonlinear optical absorption properties at 1.06μm by the open-aperture Z-scan method.Interestingly,a transition phenomenon from satu-rable absorption(SA)to reverse saturable absorption(RSA)was observed with the increase of the incident laser intensity.In the analysis,we found that the effective nonlinear absorption cofficient(βeff-10^2 cm/MW)under the SA process was 3 orders of magnitude larger than that during the RSA processes.Furthermore,the SA proper-ties of InP NWs were experimentally verified by using them as a saturable absorber for a passively Q-switched Nd:YVO4 solid-state laser at 1.06μm,where the shortest pulse width of 462 ns and largest single pulse energy of 1.32μJ were obtained.Moreover,the ultrafast carrier relaxation dynamics were basically studied,and the intraband and inter-band ultrafast carrier relaxation times of 8.1 and 63.8 ps,respectively,were measured by a degenerate pump-probe method with the probe laser of 800 nm.These results well demonstrate the nonlinear optical absorption properties,which show the excellent light manipulating capabilities of InP NWs and pave a way for their applications in ultrafast nanophotonic devices.JUNTING LIU HONGKUN NIE BINGZHENG YAN KEJIAN YANG HE YANG VLADISLAV KHAYRUDINOV HARRI LIPSANEN BAITAO ZHANG JINGLIANG HE 2020Photonics Research2020,8,6:2
