| 1 | Clinical and biochemical indexes from 2019-nCoV infected patients linked to viral loads and lung injury显示文摘The outbreak of the 2019-nCoV infection began in December 2019 in Wuhan,Hubei province,and rapidly spread to many provinces in China as well as other countries.Here we report the epidemiological,clinical,laboratory,and radiological characteristics,as well as potential biomarkers for predicting disease severity in 2019-nCoV-infected patients in Shenzhen,China.All 12 cases of the 2019-nCoV-infected patients developed pneumonia and half of them developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).The most common laboratory abnormalities were hypoalbuminemia,lymphopenia,decreased percentage of lymphocytes (LYM) and neutrophils (NEU),elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH),and decreased CD8 count.The viral load of 2019-nCoV detected from patient respiratory tracts was positively linked to lung disease severity.ALB,LYM,LYM (%),LDH,NEU (%),and CRP were highly correlated to the acute lung injury.Age,viral load,lung injury score,and blood biochemistry indexes,albumin (ALB),CRP,LDH,LYM (%),LYM,and NEU (%),may be predictors of disease severity.Moreover,the Angiotensin Ⅱlevel in the plasma sample from 2019-nCoV infected patients was markedly elevated and linearly associated to viral load and lung injury.Our results suggest a number of potential diagnosis biomarkers and angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) drugs for potential repurposing treatment of 2019-nCoV infection. | Yingxia Liu Yang Yang Cong Zhang Fengming Huang Fuxiang Wang Jing Yuan Zhaoqin Wang Jinxiu Li Jianming Li Cheng Feng Zheng Zhang Lifei Wang Ling Peng Li Chen Yuhao Qin Dandan Zhao Shuguang Tan Lu Yin Jun Xu Congzhao Zhou Chengyu Jiang Lei Liu | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,3: | 157 |
| 2 | Regeneration of commercial selective catalyst reduction catalysts deactivated by Pb and other inorganic elements显示文摘The regeneration of commercial SCR(Selective Catalyst Reduction) catalysts deactivated by Pb and other elements was studied.The deactivated catalyst samples were prepared by chemical impregnation with mixed solution containing K_2SO_4,Na_2SO_4,CaSO_4,Pb(NO_3)_2and NH_4H_2PO_4.A novel method combining Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt(EDTA-2Na) and H_2SO_4solution(viz.catalysts treated by dilute EDTA-2Na and H_2SO_4 solution in sequence) was used to recover the activity of deactivated samples,and the effect was compared with single H_2SO_4,oxalic acid,acetic acid,EDTA or HNO_3 solutions.The surface structure,acidity and reducibility of samples were characterized by N_2adsorption–desorption,inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OES),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray fluorescence(XRF),H-2-temperature programmed section(H_2-TPR),NH3-temperature programmed desorption(NH3-TPD) and in situ DRIFTS.Impurities caused a decrease of specific surface area and surface reducibility,as well as Br?nsted acid sites,and therefore led to severe deactivation of the SCR catalyst.The use of an acid solution alone possibly eliminated the impurities on the deactivated catalyst to some extent,and also increased the specific surface area and Br?nsted acid sites and promoted the surface reducibility,thus recovered the activity partially.The combination of EDTA-2Na and H_2SO_4 could remove most of the impurities and improve the activity significantly.The removal of Pb should be an important factor for regeneration.Due to a high removal rate for Pb and other impurities,the combination of EDTA-2Na and H_2SO_4 solutions provided the best efficiency. | Yanke Yu Jinxiu Wang Jinsheng Chen Xinjiang He Yujing Wang Kai Song Zongli Xie | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,9: | 11 |

| 6 | Upregulation of miR-489-3p and miR-630 inhibits oxaliplatin uptake in renal cell carcinoma by targeting OCT2显示文摘Renal cell carcinoma(RCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors affecting the urogenital system, accounting for 90% of renal malignancies. Traditional chemotherapy options are often the front-line choice of regimen in the treatment of patients with RCC, but responses may be modest or limited due to resistance of the tumor to anticarcinogen. Downregulated expression of organic cation transporter OCT2 is a possible mechanism underlying oxaliplatin resistance in RCC treatment. In this study, we observed that mi R-489-3 p and mi R-630 suppress OCT2 expression by directly binding to the OCT2 30-UTR. Meanwhile, via 786-O-OCT2-mi RNAs stable expression cell models, we found that mi RNAs could repress the classic substrate 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium(MPP+), fluorogenic substrate N,N-dimethyl-4-(2-pyridin-4-ylethenyl) aniline(ASP+), and oxaliplatin uptake by OCT2 both in vitro and in xenografts. In 33 clinical samples, mi R-489-3 p and mi R-630 were significantly upregulated in RCC, negatively correlating with the OCT2 expression level compared to that in adjacent normal tissues, using tissue microarray analysis and q PCR validation. The increased binding of c-Myc to the promoter of pri-mi R-630, responsible for the upregulation of mi R-630 in RCC, was further evidenced by chromatin immunoprecipitation and dual-luciferase reporter assay. | 7 | Adipose-derived stem cells inhibit dermal fibroblast growth and induce apoptosis in keloids through the arachidonic acid-derived cyclooxygenase-2/prostaglandin E2 cascade by paracrine显示文摘Background:The clinical features of keloids consist of aberrant proliferation,secretion,differentiation and apoptosis of keloid dermis-derived fibroblasts(KFBs).Notably,the apoptosis rate of KFBs is lower than the proliferation rate.Though the anti-fibrotic effect of adipose-derived stem cells(ADSCs)on keloids has become a hot topic of research,the exact anti-fibrotic mechanism of the paracrine effect remains unclear.This study aimed to find out how the conditioned medium of ADSCs(ADSC-CM)exerts an anti-fibrotic effect in KFBs.Methods:KFBs and ADSCs were extracted and cultured.Then,ADSC-CM was prepared.Whether ADSC-CM could inhibit KFB growth and induce apoptosis was verified by the use of a cell counting kit-8,an 5-Ethynyl-2-deoxyuridine(Edu)kit and flow cytometry.The expressions of cyclooxygenase-1(COX-1),COX-2,caspase 3 and B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2)in ADSC-CM-cultured KFBs were tested by real-time PCR and western blotting.To clarify the role of COX-2 in ADSC-CM-induced KFB apoptosis,a specific COX-2 inhibitor,celecoxib,was applied to KFBs cultured in ADSC-CM.Moreover,we tested the production of arachidonic acid(AA)and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)by ELISA.Then,we established a keloid transplantation model in a nude mouse to validate the therapeutic effect in vivo.Results:The proliferation ability of KFBs cultured in ADSC-CM was found to be weakened and apoptosis was significantly increased.Caspase 3 expression was significantly upregulated and Bcl-2 was downregulated in ADSC-CM-cultured KFBs.Furthermore,ADSC-CM strikingly elevated COX-2 mRNA and protein expressions,but COX-1 expression was unaltered.COX-2 inhibitors reduced ADSC-CM-induced apoptosis.Additionally,COX-2 inhibition blocked the elevation of caspase 3 and reversed the decrease in Bcl-2 expression.ADSC-CM increased PGE2 levels by 1.5-fold and this effect was restrained by COX-2 inhibition.In the nude mouse model,expressions of AA,COX-2 and PGE2 were higher in the translated keloid tissues after ADSC-CM injection than in the controls.Conclusions:We showed activation of the COX-2/PGE2 cascade in KFBs in response to ADSC-CM.By employing a specific COX-2 inhibitor,COX-2/PGE2 cascade activation played a crucial role in mediating the ADSC-CM-induced KFB apoptosis and anti-proliferation effects. | Jinxiu Yang Shiyi Li Leren He Minliang Chen | 2021 | Burns & Trauma2021,9,1: | 4 |

| 12 | Molybdenum Nanoscrews:A Novel Non-coinage-Metal Substrate for Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering显示文摘For the first time, Mo nanoscrew was cultivated as a novel non-coinage-metal substrate for surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS). It was found that the nanoscrew is composed of many small screw threads stacking along its length direction with small separations. Under external light excitation, strong electromagnetic coupling was initiated within the gaps, and many hot-spots formed on the surface of the nanoscrew, which was confirmed by high-resolution scanning near-field optical microscope measurements and numerical simulations using finite element method. These hotspots are responsible for the observed SERS activity of the nanoscrews. Raman mapping characterizations further revealed the excellent reproducibility of the SERS activity. | 20 | Mesenchymal stromal/stem cells:breaking the deadlock in the treatment of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome显示文摘Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS)is a clinical syndrome characterized by the dysfunction of two or more systems or organs.This internal environment disorder occurs simultaneously 24 h after severe trauma,shock,or infection.MODS has a high fatality rate ranging from 20%to 100%.[1]In the development of MODS following severe trauma or infection,multiple organ system fail sequentially,involving the lungs,kidneys,liver,cardiovascular,central nervous system,gastrointestinal,immune,and the blood coagulation system.MODS has complex pathogenic factors,and there are four main pathogenesis hypotheses:(1)uncontrolled inflammation hypothesis,(2)ischemia–reperfusion injury,(3)the gastrointestinal hypothesis,and(4)the biphasic preexcitation theory.Although the current clinical treatment methods of MODS,such as inflammatory factor antibodies,highly effective anti-coagulants,renal function replacement therapy,and other treatment methods,have been improved continuously,their effectiveness in MODS treatment is not ideal.Therefore,clinical MODS treatment is faced with great challenges[Figure 1]. | Jinxiu Hu Ye Li Jie He Xiaojuan Zhao Mengdie Chen Li Ye Xinghua Pan | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,23: | 0 |
