1Differences in acquired immune deficiency syndrome treatment and evaluation strategies between Chinese and Western Medicine显示文摘Complementary and alternative medicine, including Chinese medicine(CM), has been used to treat acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS) for almost 30 years. We aimed to compare the main differences between AIDS treatment and evaluation strategies between CM and Western Medicine(WM), and analyze advantages and disadvantages.The characteristics of integrative medicine(IM),based on CM and WM, include a patient-centered mode of medicine based on evidence. IM focuses on complex intervention and management with systemic and individual treatment. The evaluation indexes of IM might consist of objective indicators and subjective indexes. 2Advances in catalytic conversion of lignocellulose to chemicals and liquid fuels显示文摘In response to the awareness of limited fossil resources and environmental concerns,catalytic conversion of renewable lignocellulose biomass to value-added chemicals and fuels is of great significance and attractive for sustainable chemistry.Division of Biomass Conversion and Bio-Energy attached to Dalian National Laboratory for Clean Energy has devoted themselves to valorization of lignocellulose biomass since launched in 2011.Our research interests focus on breeding of biomass resources(inulin and microalgae),exploration of catalytic and biological technologies,and production of energy chemicals and fuels.Although lignocellulose biomass is renewable and abundant,the way of utilization should be reasonable according to its structural characteristics in view of efficiency and economy.In this review,to celebrate the DICP's 70 th anniversary,we will highlight the major fundamental advances in DICP about the conversion of lignocellulose to value-added chemicals and liquid fuels.Particular attention will be paid to the transformation of cellulose and its derivatives to glycols,acids and nitrogen-containing chemicals,hemicellulose-derived platform molecule furfural to jet fuels and lignin to aromatics using catalytic technologies.Jiping Ma Song Shi Xiuquan Jia Fei Xia Hong Ma Jin Gao Jie Xu 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,9:6
3Shake table study on precast segmental concrete double-column piers显示文摘Seismic capacity,including the ultimate load-carrying capacity and ultimate deformation capacity of precast segmental concrete double-column(PSCDC)piers with steel sleeve(SS)connection or grouted corrugated-metal duct(GCMD)connection,has been verified to be similar to those of cast-in-place(CIP)piers by quasi-static tests.However,the lack of knowledge of seismic response characteristics and damage process of PSCDC piers has limited their application in high-intensity seismic areas.Therefore,shake table tests,using variable types and intensities of seismic ground motions,were performed to investigate the seismic behavior of connection joints and to evaluate the seismic performance of PSCDC piers with SS and GCMD connections.Also,a finite element analysis(FEA)model was developed to study the influence of design parameters on the seismic behavior of the piers.The results showed that the main damage in PSCDC piers was caused by the cyclic opening and closing of connection joints.Under high-intensity ground motions,the PSCDC piers had a lower seismic performance than the CIP piers due to a significant decrease of their integrity and stiffness.The seismic performance of PSCDC piers is comparable to CIP piers when using an appropriate initial stress of the prestressing tendons.Xia Zhanghua Ge Jiping Lin Youqin Qiu Faqiang 2020Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2020,19,3:5

5Stratospheric Ozone-induced Cloud Radiative Effects on Antarctic Sea Ice显示文摘Recent studies demonstrate that the Antarctic Ozone Hole has important influences on Antarctic sea ice.While most of these works have focused on effects associated with atmospheric and oceanic dynamic processes caused by stratospheric ozone changes,here we show that stratospheric ozone-induced cloud radiative effects also play important roles in causing changes in Antarctic sea ice.Our simulations demonstrate that the recovery of the Antarctic Ozone Hole causes decreases in clouds over Southern Hemisphere(SH)high latitudes and increases in clouds over the SH extratropics.The decrease in clouds leads to a reduction in downward infrared radiation,especially in austral autumn.This results in cooling of the Southern Ocean surface and increasing Antarctic sea ice.Surface cooling also involves ice-albedo feedback.Increasing sea ice reflects solar radiation and causes further cooling and more increases in Antarctic sea ice.Yan XIA Yongyun HU Jiping LIU Yi HUANG Fei XIE Jintai LIN 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,5:3
6Seismic performance of precast bridge columns connected with grouted corrugated-metal duct through biaxial quasi-static experiment and modeling显示文摘In this paper,the seismic behaviors of precast bridge columns connected with grouted corrugated-metal duct(GCMD)were investigated through the biaxial quasi-static experiment and numerical simulation.With a geometric scale ratio of 1:5,five specimens were fabricated,including four precast bridge columns connected with GCMD and one cast-in-place(CIP)bridge column.A finite element analysis model was also established by using OpenSees and was then calibrated by using the experimental results for parameter analysis.The results show the biaxial seismic performance of the precast bridge columns connected with GCMD was similar to the CIP bridge columns regarding ultimate bearing capacity and hysteresis energy,and further,that it could meet the design goal of equivalent performance.The seismic performance of the precast bridge columns connected with GCMD deteriorated more significantly under bi-directional load than under uni-directional load.A proper slenderness ratio(e.g.,7.0-10.0)and longitudinal reinforcement ratio could significantly improve the energy dissipation capacity and deformation capacity of the precast bridge columns,while the axial load ratio and concrete strength had little influence on the above properties.The research results could bring insights to the development of the seismic design of precast bridge columns connected with GCMD.Xia Zhanghua Lin Shangshun He Yongbo Ge Jiping Sun Jinlei 2021Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2021,20,3:3

9Preparation of γ-Al2O3 via Hydrothermal Synthesis Using ρ-Al2O3 as Raw Material for Propane Dehydrogenation显示文摘γ-Al2O3 was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis usingρ-Al2O3 and urea as raw materials.In this work,the eff ects of the molar ratio of CO(NH2)2/Al and reaction temperature were investigated,and a Pt–Sn–K/γ-Al2O3 catalyst was prepared.The ammonium aluminum carbonate hydroxide(AACH),γ-Al2O3,and Pt–Sn–K/γ-Al2O3 were characterized by X-ray diff raction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,N2 adsorption–desorption,thermogravimetry–differential thermal analysis,and NH3 temperature-programmed desorption techniques.The reactivity of Pt–Sn–K/γ-Al2O3 for propane dehydrogenation was tested in a micro-fixed-bed reactor.The results show thatγ-Al2O3 with a specific surface area of 358.1 m 2/g and pore volume of 0.96 cm 3/g was obtained when the molar ratio of CO(NH2)2/Al was 3:1 and the reaction temperature was 140℃.The alumina obtained by calcination of AACH has a higher specific surface area and larger pore volume than the industrial pseudo-boehmite does.The catalyst prepared from AACH as precursor showed high selectivity and conversion,which can reach 96.1%and 37.6%,respectively,for propane dehydrogenation.Hongguang Liu Xiaomin Dong Jiping Xia Xiaoyun Li Yanmin Sun Qi Cai 2020Transactions of Tianjin University2020,26,5:1
