1Cyclopalladated ferrocenylimines as efficient catalysts for homogeneous catalysis:A brief introduction to our preliminary achievements显示文摘Cyclopalladated ferrocenylimines as a novel kind of highly efficient palladium catalyst precursors, which are air-stable and easy to handle, have been successfully applied in a wide variety of catalytic reactions ranging from classical reactions, such as Heck, Suzuki, Sonogashira and Buchwald-Hartwig couplings, to cyanation, addition reactions of arylboronic acids, and coupling reactions involving terminal alkynes. 2Temporal-spatial distributions of road silt loadings and fugitive road dust emissions in Beijing from 2019 to 2020显示文摘Road silt loading(sL)is an important parameter in the fugitive road dust(FRD)emissions.In this study,the improved Testing Re-entrained Aerosol Kinetic Emissions from Roads(TRAKER)combined with the AP-42 method was firstly developed to quickly measure and estimate the sLs of paved roads in Beijing,China.The annual average sLs in Beijing was 0.59±0.31 g/m^(2)in 2020,and decreased by 22.4%compared with that in 2019.The seasonal variations of sLs followed the order of spring>winter>summer>autumn in the two years.The seasonal mean road sLs on the same type road in the four seasons presented a decline trend from^(2)019 to 2020,especially on the Expressway,decreasing 47.4%-72.7%.The road sLs on the different type roads in the same season followed the order of Major arterial∼Minor arterial∼Branch road>Express road,and Township road∼Country highway>Provincial highway∼National highway.The emission intensities of PM10 and PM_(2.5)from FRD in Beijing in 2020 were lower than those in 2019.The PM10 and PM_(2.5)emission intensities at the four planning areas in the two years all presented the order of the capital functional core area>the urban functional expansion area>the urban development new area>the ecological conservation and development area.The annual emissions of PM10 and PM_(2.5)from FRD in Beijing in 2020 were 74,886 ton and 18,118 ton,respectively,decreasing by∼33.3%compared with those in 2019.Haibin Wang Lihui Han Tingting Li Song Qu Yuncheng Zhao Shoubin Fan Tong Chen Haoran Cui Junfang Liu 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,10:1
3Inhibitor tolerance and bioethanol fermentability of levoglucosan-utilizing Escherichia coli were enhanced by overexpression of stress-responsive gene ycfR:The proteomics-guided metabolic engineering显示文摘Pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass is crucial for the release of biofermentable sugars for biofuels production,which could greatly alleviate the burgeoning environment and energy crisis caused by the massive usage of traditional fossil fuels.Pyrolysis is a cost-saving pretreatment process that can readily decompose biomass into levoglucosan,a promising anhydrosugar;however,many undesired toxic compounds inhibitory to downstream microbial fermentation are also generated during the pyrolysis,immensely impeding the bioconversion of levoglucosan-containing pyrolysate.Here,we took the first insight into the proteomic responses of a levoglucosan-utilizing and ethanol-producing Escherichia coli to three representative biomass-derived inhibitors,identifying large amounts of differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)that could guide the downstream metabolic engineering for the development of inhibitor-resistant strains.Fifteen up-and eight down-regulated DEPs were further identified as the biomarker stress-responsive proteins candidate for cellular tolerance to multiple inhibitors.Among these biomarker proteins,YcfR exhibiting the highest expression fold-change level was chosen as the target of overexpression to validate proteomics results and develop robust strains with enhanced inhibitor tolerance and fermentation performance.Finally,based on four plasmid-borne genes encoding the levoglucosan kinase,pyruvate decarboxylase,alcohol dehydrogenase,and protein YcfR,a new recombinant strain E.coli LGE-ycfR was successfully created,showing much higher acetic acid-,furfural-,and phenol-tolerance levels compared to the control without overexpression of ycfR.The specific growth rate,final cell density,ethanol concentration,ethanol productivity,and levoglucosan consumption rate of the recombinant were also remarkably improved.From the proteomics-guided metabolic engineering and phenotypic observations,we for the first time corroborated that YcfR is a stress-induced protein responsive to multiple biomass-derived inhibitors,and also developed an inhibitors-resistant strain that could produce bioethanol from levoglucosan in the presence of inhibitors of relatively high concentration.The newly developed E.coli LGE-ycfR strain that could eliminate the commonly-used costly detoxicification processes,is of great potential for the in situ cost-effective bioethanol production from the biomass-derived pyrolytic substrates.Dongdong Chang Zia Ul Islam Junfang Zheng Jie Zhao Xiaoyong Cui Zhisheng Yu 2021Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2021,6,4:1

6Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis with frontotemporal dementia presented with prominent psychosis显示文摘Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease mainly involving motor neurons in spinal cord,brain stem,and motor cortex of brain,characterized by variable combinations of limb weakness,muscle atrophy,and pyramidal signs.TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43) serves as the pathological protein for both ALS and a proportion of frontotemporal dementia (FTD),where lies the foundation of a disease complex,ALS-FTD.Delusion and hallucination,core features of schizophrenia,are also regarded as common symptoms in the context of neurodegenerative dementia,including Alzheimer disease and dementia with Lewy body.Although rare in the course of FTD,these manifestations could be rather notable,causing a great challenge to differentiate FTD from schizophrenia.Emphasis of psychotic phenomenon also lies in its importance of predicting the progression to ALS-FTD and its underlying genetic mutation.Herein we report two cases of ALS-FTD presented with psychosis.Cui Bo Cui Liying Liu Mingsheng Ma Junfang Fang Jia 2014Chinese Medical Journal2014,,22:1

8Estimation of Shallow Landslide Susceptibility Incorporating the Impacts of Vegetation on Slope Stability显示文摘This study aimed to develop a physical-based approach for predicting the spatial likelihood of shallow landslides at the regional scale in a transition zone with extreme topography.Shallow landslide susceptibility study in an area with diverse vegetation types as well as distinctive geographic factors(such as steep terrain,fractured rocks,and joints)that dominate the occurrence of shallow landslides is challenging.This article presents a novel methodology for comprehensively assessing shallow landslide susceptibility,taking into account both the positive and negative impacts of plants.This includes considering the positive efects of vegetation canopy interception and plant root reinforcement,as well as the negative efects of plant gravity loading and preferential fow of root systems.This approach was applied to simulate the regional-scale shallow landslide susceptibility in the Dadu River Basin,a transition zone with rapidly changing terrain,uplifting from the Sichuan Plain to the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau.The research fndings suggest that:(1)The proposed methodology is efective and capable of assessing shallow landslide susceptibility in the study area;(2)the proposed model performs better than the traditional pseudo-static analysis method(TPSA)model,with 9.93%higher accuracy and 5.59%higher area under the curve;and(3)when the ratio of vegetation weight loads to unstable soil mass weight is high,an increase in vegetation biomass tends to be advantageous for slope stability.The study also mapped the spatial distribution of shallow landslide susceptibility in the study area,which can be used in disaster prevention,mitigation,and risk management.Hu Jiang Qiang Zou Bin Zhou Yao Jiang Junfang Cui Hongkun Yao Wentao Zhou 2023International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2023,14,4:0
