Content analysis of systematic reviews on effectiveness ofTraditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate evidence for the efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in systematic reviews.METHODS:Chinese(TCM Periodical Literature Database,Chinese Biological Medicine database,Chinese Medical Current Contents,China Hospital Knowledge Database journal fulltext database,Virtual Machining and Inspection System, and Wanfang) and English(Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews,PubMed and Embase) databases were searched.RESULTS:Three thousand, nine hundred and fifty-five articles were initially identified,606 of which met the inclusion criteria, including 251 in English(83 from the Cochrane Database) and 355 in Chinese. The number of articles published each year increased between 1989 and 2009.Cardiocerebrovascular disease was the most studied target disease.Intervention measures included TCM preparations(177 articles),acupuncture(133 articles) and combinations of TCM and Western Medicine(38 articles).Control measures included positive medical(177 articles),basic treatment(100 articles),placebo(219 articles),and blank and mutual(107 articles). All articles included at least one reference;the greatest number was 268.Six of 10 articles with high quality references demonstrated curative effectsagainst target diseases including upper respiratory tract infection, dementia and depression.Interventions that were not recommended were tripterygium for rheumatoid arthritis and TCM syndrome differentiation for pediatric nocturia. In 10.4% of the studies, the authors concluded that the intervention had a curative effect. The assessors agreed with the authors' conclusions in 88.32% of cases, but rejected 8.94%(54 articles).CONCLUSION:1) Training in systematic review methods, including topic selection, study design, methods and technology, should be improved.2) Upper respiratory tract infection, dementia and depression may become the predominant diseases treated by TCM,and the corresponding interventions could be developed into practical applications.3) Use of non-recommended interventions should be controlled, and there should be more research on side effects.Junwen Wang Meng Cui Hongguan Jiao Yuanyuan Tong Jun Xu Yingkai Zhao Mei Han Jianping Liu 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2:7
Classification of traditional Chinese medicine constitution based on facial features in color images显示文摘Objective:To explore the possible correlation between traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)constitution and facial features in color images and to improve the accuracy of automated constitution classification. Methods:Color images were taken of 5150 individuals of different professions.Automated face detection and key point positioning were performed on the collected images, which were then transformed into a standard size. The relationship between facial features and TCM constitution based on the red, green, blue(RGB)pixel and the local binary pattern(LBP)texture features was explored. Results:The overall accuracy rate and robustness of TCM constitution classification based on RGB features were low.Classification results of the phlegm-dampness,damp-heat,blood stasis, and balance constitutions achieved high accuracy rates.Classification accuracy rate using the LBP texture feature was higher than that of the RGB feature, with the best accuracy observed for the balance constitution. Conclusion:Application of computer image acquisition and processing of facial features may serve as an adjunct to the TCM diagnostic method of inspection.Jian Zhang Shujuan Hou Ji Wang Lingru Li Pin Li Junwen Han Haiqiang Yao Ranran Sun Ziqing Li Zhen Lei Qi Wang 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2016,3,3:5
Effects of surface states over core-shell Ni@SiO_2 catalysts on catalytic partial oxidation of methane to synthesis gas显示文摘In the present work, core-shell Ni@Si O2 catalysts were investigated in order to evaluate the relevance of catalytic activity and surface states of Ni core as well as Ni nanoparticles size to catalytic partial oxidation of methane(POM). The catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption,H2-TPR, XRD, TEM and XPS techniques. The catalytic performance of the core-shell catalysts was found to be dependent on the surface states of catalyst, which influenced the formation of products. It was considered that carbon dioxide formed on the oxidized nickel sites(Ni O)and carbon monoxide produced on the reduced sites(Ni). The surface states of active metal in the dynamic were influenced both by the size of Ni core and the porosity of silica shell. However, the catalytic activity would be debased when the size of Ni core was under a certain extent, which can be ascribed to the fact the carbon deposition increased with the increasing content of Ni O. The effects of surface states of Ni@Si O2 catalyst on the catalytic performance were discussed and the reaction pathway over Ni core encapsulated inside silica shell was proposed.Chuanmin Ding Xiaofeng Gao Yulin Han Xishun Ma Junwen Wang Shibin Liu Kan Zhang 2015Journal of Energy Chemistry2015,24,1:2

Water molecule-induced hydrogen bonding between cellulose nanofibers toward highly strong and tough materials from wood aerogel显示文摘Lightweight, highly strong and bio-based structural materials remain a long-lasting challenge. Here, inspired by nacre,a lightweight and high mechanical performance cellulosic material was fabricated via a facile and effective top-down approach and the resulting material has a high tensile strength of149.21 MPa and toughness of 1.91 MJ/m^(3).More specifically, the natural balsawood(NW) was subjected to a simple chemical treatment, removing most lignin and partial hemicellulose, follow by freeze-drying,forming wood aerogel(WA).The delignification process produced many pores and exposed numerous aligned cellulose nanofibers.Afterwards, the WA absorbed a quantity of moisture and was directly densified to form above high-performance cellulosic material.Such treatment imitates highly ordered'brick-and-mortar' arrangement of nacre,in which water molecules plays the role of mortar and cellulose nanofibrils make the brick part. The lightweight and good mechanical properties make this material promising for new energy car, aerospace, etc. This paper also explains the strengthening mechanism for making biomimetic materials by water molecules-induced hydrogen bonding and will open a new path for designing high-performance bio-based structural materials.Xiaoshuai Han Zhenxing Wang Linhu Ding Lian Chen Feng Wang Junwen Pu Shaohua Jiang 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,10:0
SUMOylation facilitates the assembly of a Nuclear Factor-Y complex to enhance thermotolerance in Arabidopsis显示文摘Heat stress(HS) has serious negative effects on plant development and has become a major threat to agriculture. A rapid transcriptional regulatory cascade has evolved in plants in response to HS. Nuclear Factor-Y(NF-Y) complexes are critical for this mechanism, but how NF-Y complexes are regulated remains unclear. In this study, we identified NF-YC10(NF-Y subunit C10), a central regulator of the HS response in Arabidopsis thaliana, as a substrate of SUMOylation, an important post-translational modification. Biochemical analysis showed that the SUMO ligase SIZ1(SAP AND MIZ1 DOMAINCONTAINING LIGASE1) interacts with NF-YC10and enhances its SUMOylation during HS. The SUMOylation of NF-YC10 facilitates its interaction with and the nuclear translocation of NF-YB3, in which the SUMO interaction motif(SIM)is essential for its efficient association with NF-YC10. Further functional analysis indicated that the SUMOylation of NF-YC10 and the SIM of NF-YB3 are critical for HS-responsive gene expression and plant thermotolerance. These findings uncover a role for the SIZ1-mediated SUMOylation of NF-YC10 in NF-Y complex assembly under HS, providing new insights into the role of a post-translational modification in regulating transcription during abiotic stress responses in plants.Junwen Huang Junjie Huang Qiyi Feng Yaqiao Shi Feige Wang Kaiyong Zheng Qize Huang Jieming Jiang Siyi Luo Yun Xie Danlu Han Jianbin Lai Chengwei Yang 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,3:0
High temperature oxidation properties of Al-Cu-Si alloys for latent heat energy storage显示文摘The effect of Cu content on the high temperature oxidation properties of the phase change material(PCM)Al-Cu-Si alloys was studied. The oxidation kinetics curves at 600◦C were achieved for Al-Cu-Si alloys with 35-55%Cu,which all follow the cubic law. With an increase in the Cu content from 35 to 55%,the weight gain decreases from 5.75 to 3×10^(−4) g/cm^(2) after 96 h isothermal oxidation. The oxidation rate also decreases with Cu content, the maximum and minimum rates are 1.52 and 0.32×10^(−5) g/cm^(2)•h,a nearly 4 times difference.Oxidation does not change the phase composition of Al-Cu-Si alloys, but coarsens the microstructure. The latent heat and the starting temperature of phase change after 96 h oxidation at 600◦C have variations of less than 10%and 6◦C,respectively,indicating that the Al-Cu-Si alloys have good thermal stability after high temperature oxidation.Junwen Zhao Yan Shi Yanping Yuan Xingmin Huang Jing Han 2023Energy and Built Environment2023,4,3:0
Mechanical behaviours of bedded sandstone under hydromechanical coupling显示文摘The combination of the dipping effect and hydromechanical(H-M)coupling effect can easily lead to water inrush disasters in water-rich roadways with different dip angles in coal mines.Therefore,H-M coupling tests of bedded sandstones under identical osmotic pressure and various confining pressures were conducted. Then, the evolution curves of stress-strain,permeability and damage,macro-and mesoscopic failure characteristics were obtained.Subsequently, the mechanical behaviour was characterized, and finally the failure mechanism was revealed. The results showed that:(1)The failure of the sandstone with the bedding angle of 45°or 60°was the structure-dominant type, while that with the bedding angle of 0°,30°or 90°was the force-dominant type.(2)When the bedding angle was in the range of(0°,30°)or(45°,90°),the confining pressure played a dominant role in influencing the peak strength.However,withinβ∈(30°,45°),the bedding effect played a dominant role in the peak strength.(3)With the increase in bedding angle, the cohesion increased first, then decreased and finally increased, while the internal friction angle was the opposite.(4)When the bedding angle was 0°or 30°,the“water wedging”effect and the“bedding buckling”effect would lead to the forking or converging shear failure. When the bedding angle was 45°or 60°,the sliding friction effect would lead to the shear slipping failure. When the bedding angle was 90°,the combination of the“bedding buckling”effect and shear effect would lead to the mixed tension-shear failure. The above conclusions obtained are helpful for the prevention of water inrush disasters in water-rich roadways with different dips in coal mines.Junwen Zhang Zhixiang Song Lichao Zhang Shaokang Wu Shanyong Wang Yang Zhang Xukai Dong Jinxin Wang Yanbo Han Baohua Kan 2024Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2024,16,4:0
