| 1 | Fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)/PM_(1.0)) in Beijing,China: Variations and chemical compositions as well as sources显示文摘Particulate matter(i.e.,PM_(1.0) and PM_(2.5)),considered as the key atmospheric pollutants,exerts negative effects on visibility,global climate,and human health by associated chemical compositions.However,our understanding of PM and its chemical compositions in Beijing under the current atmospheric environment is still not complete after witnessing marked alleviation during 2013–2017.Continuous measurements can be crucial for further air quality improvement by better characterizing PM pollution and chemical compositions in Beijing.Here,we conducted simultaneous measurements on PM in Beijing during 2018–2019.Results indicate that annualmean PM_(1.0) and PM_(2.5) concentrations were 35.49±18.61μg/m^(3) and 66.58±60.17μg/m^(3),showing a positive response to emission controls.The contribution of sulfate,nitrate,and ammonium(SNA)played an enhanced role with elevated PM loading and acted as the main contributors to pollution episodes.Discrepancies observed among chemical species between PM_(1.0) and PM_(2.5) in spring suggest that sand particles trend to accumulate in the range of 1–2.5μm.Pollution episodes occurred accompanied with southerly clusters and high formation of SNA by heterogeneous reactions in summer and winter,respectively.Results from positive matrix factorization(PMF)combined with potential source contribution function(PSCF)models showed that potential areas were seasonal dependent,secondary and vehicular sources became much more important compared with previous studies in Beijing.Our study presented a continuous investigation on PM and sources origins in Beijing,which provides a better understanding for further emission control as well as a reference for other cities in developing countries. | Lining Luo Xiaoxuan Bai Shuhan Liu Bobo Wu Wei Liu Yunqian Lv Zhihui Guo Shumin Lin Shuang Zhao Yan Hao Jiming Hao Kai Zhang Aihua Zheng Hezhong Tian | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,11: | 3 |
| 2 | Non-Hermitian control of confined optical skyrmions in microcavities formed by photonic spin-orbit coupling显示文摘Optical skyrmions formed by photonic spin–orbit(SO)coupling are of significant interest in high-dimensional optical information processing.We report the formation mechanism and non-Hermitian properties of skyrmionlike states in a circular confinement potential with photonic SO coupling,which is preferably realized in a concave-planar microcavity system.We show that the effective photonic gauge field leads to two split manifolds of degenerate skyrmions whose spin textures can be controlled via the non-Hermitian properties by introducing circularly polarized gain and loss,exhibiting dramatically discrepant evolutions at the two sides of the exceptional point(EP).Furthermore,the lifetime degeneracy can be lifted by spatially inhomogeneous pumping according to the non-Hermitian mechanism,enabling the possibility for the skyrmion laser.By introducing shape asymmetry of the confinement potential,a double EP evolution can be achieved,which allows non-Hermitian control of the SO coupled states with higher degrees of freedom.These results open the way for the non-Hermitian control of photonic spin in confined systems,which would be of great significance for the fundamentals of advanced optical information processing. | XIAOXUAN LUO YIN CAI XIN YUE WEI LIN JINGPING ZHU YANPENG ZHANG FENG LI | 2023 | Photonics Research2023,11,4: | 1 |
| 3 | Linkages of flow regime and micro-topography:prediction for non-native mangrove invasion under sea-level rise显示文摘Flow regime is a key driver of invasive aquatic organisms,and the invasiveness of mangrove species may be simultaneously attributed to plant traits and flowing hydrological conditions at the estuary scale.We focused on hydrological and topographic conditions for a non-native mangrove species,Sonneratia apetala,in Zhangjiang Estuary of Fujian,China.A hydrological model and a micro-topographic model were used to predict its dispersal and early establishment,and field surveys and simulated experiments were integrated to estimate its future dispersal patterns.The mesohaline mudflat with a salinity of 8~10 PSU at the mangrove seaward edge was the most likely colonization area for S.apetala under current conditions.The south-western region of the estuary with native mangroves was the most likely area for its colonization according to the unstructured-grid finite-volume community ocean model(FVCOM)in September,when the largest tidal currents within a year and the maximum fruit maturity period occur.Approximately 42%of the mudflats throughout the whole estuary may be available for seedling establishment under the future sea-level rise RCP 4.5 scenarios compared with 44%for current establishment;however,the RCP 8.5 scenarios would significantly decrease seedling establishment by 2100 due to serious tidal inundation according to the micro-topographical model. | Luzhen Chen Hongyu Feng Xiaoxuan Gu Ying Dong Peng Cheng Xudong Guo Qiulian Lin Ting Tang Yihui Zhang Xudong Zhu Shengchang Yang | 2020 | Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2020,6,1: | 1 |

| 5 | DeepBSA: A deep-learning algorithm improves bulked segregant analysis for dissecting complex traits显示文摘Bulked segregant analysis(BSA)is a rapid,cost-effective method for mapping mutations and quantitative trait loci(QTLs)in animals and plants based on high-throughput sequencing.However,the algorithms currently used for BSA have not been systematically evaluated and are complex and fallible to operate.We developed a BSA method driven by deep learning,DeepBSA,for QTL mapping and functional gene cloning.DeepBSA is compatible with a variable number of bulked pools and performed well with various simulated and real datasets in both animals and plants.DeepBSA outperformed all other algorithms when comparing absolute bias and signal-to-noise ratio.Moreover,we applied DeepBSA to an F2 segregating maize population of 7160 individuals and uncovered five candidate QTLs,including three well-known plant-height genes.Finally,we developed a user-friendly graphical user interface for DeepBSA,by integrating five widely used BSA algorithms and our two newly developed algorithms,that is easy to operate and can quickly map QTLs and functional genes.The DeepBSA software is freely available to noncommercial users at http://zeasystemsbio.hzau.edu.cn/tools.html and https://github.com/lizhao007/DeepBSA. | Zhao Li Xiaoxuan Chen Shaoqiang Shi Hongwei Zhang Xi Wang Hong Chen Weifu Li Lin Li | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,9: | 1 |

| 9 | Inactivation of FOXO1 induces T follicular cell polarization and involves angioimmunoblastic T cell lymphoma显示文摘Objective:Angioimmunoblastic T cell lymphoma(AITL)is an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma derived from mature T cells.However,the underlying pathogenesis of AITL remains unresolved.We aimed to explore the role of FOXO1-mediated signaling in the tumorigenesis and progression of AITL.Methods:FOXO1 expression was assessed using immunohistochemistry on a total of 46 AITL tissue samples.Retroviruses encoding FOXO1 shRNA were used to knockdown FOXO1 expression in CD4^+T cells.Flow cytometric assays analyzed the proliferation and survival of FOXO1 knockdown CD4^+T cells.Furthermore,we performed adoptive T-cell transfer experiments to identify whether inactivation of FOXO1 induced neoplastic follicular-helper T(Tfh)cell polarization and function.Results:Patients with low FOXO1 protein levels were prone to have an advanced tumor stage(P=0.049),higher ECOG ps(P=0.024),the presence of bone marrow invasion(P=0.000),and higher IPI(P=0.035).Additionally,the survival rates of patients in the FOXO1 high-expression group were significantly better than those in the FOXO1 low-expression group(χ^2=5.346,P=0.021).We also observed that inactivation of FOXO1 increased CD4^+T cell proliferation and altered the survival and cell-cycle progression of CD4^+T cells.Finally,we confirmed that inactivation of FOXO1 induces Tfh cell programing and function.Conclusions:Inactivation of FOXO1 in AITL plays a key role in the tumorigenesis and progression of AITL.We propose that FOXO1 expression could be a useful prognostic marker in AITL patients to predict poor survival,and to design appropriate therapeutic strategies. | Meifang Xu Fei Wang Hong Chen Lin Liu Wenwen Liu Yinghong Yang Qiaoling Zheng Lihong Zhang Xiaoxuan Li Suxia Lin Shengbing Zang | 2019 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,4: | 1 |
| 10 | Amphiphilic peptide dendrimer-based nanovehicles for safe and effective siRNA delivery显示文摘Small interfering RNA(siRNA)-based RNA interference has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of a wide range of incurable diseases.However,the safe and effective delivery of siRNA therapeutics into the interior of target cells remains challenging.Here,we disclosed novel amphiphilic peptide dendrimers(AmPDs)that composed of hydrophobic two lipid-like alkyl chains and hydrophilic poly(lysine)dendrons with different generations(2C18-KK2 and 2C18-KK2K4)as nanovehicles for siRNA delivery.These AmPDs are able to self-assemble into supramolecular nanoassemblies that are capable of entrapping siRNA molecules into nanoparticles to protect siRNA from enzymatic degradation and promote efficient intracellular uptake without evident toxicity.Interestingly,by virtue of the optimal balance of hydrophobic lipid-like entity and hydrophilic poly(lysine)dendron generations,AmPD 2C18-KK2K4 bearing bigger hydrophilic dendron can package siRNA to form stable,but more ready to disassemble complexes,thereby resulting in more efficient siRNA releasing and better gene silencing effect in comparison with AmPD 2C18-KK2 bearing smaller dendron.Additional studies confirmed that 2Ci8-KK2K4 can capitalize on the advantages of lipid and peptide dendrimer vectors for effective siRNA delivery.Collectively,our AmPD-based nanocarriers indeed represent a safe and effective siRNA delivery system.Our findings also provide a new perspective on the modulation of selfassembly amphiphilic peptide dendrimers for the functional and adaptive delivery of siRNA therapeutics. | Chi Ma Dandan Zhu Yu Chen Yiwen Dong Wenyi Lin Ning Li Wenjie Zhang Xiaoxuan Liu | 2020 | Biophysics Reports2020,6,6: | 1 |

While present solar research mostly depends on observations and theoretical models, laboratory experiments based on high-energy density facilities provide the third method for quantitatively comparing astrophysical observations and models with data achieved in experimental settings.In this article, we show laboratory modeling of solar flares and coronal mass ejections by constructing the magnetic reconnection system with two mutually approaching laser-produced plasmas circumfused of self-generated megagauss magnetic fields. | 15 | The effect of lateral growth of self-assembled GaN microdisks on UV lasing action显示文摘There are significant differences in the extent of impurity incorporation on different crystallographic directions of GaN microstructures,and the impurity-related deep energy level behavior will have a significant impact on device performance.However,a comprehensive understanding of the effect of lateral growth on device performance has not been achieved due to the lack of comprehensive spatial distribution characterization of the optical behavior and impurity incorporation in GaN microstructures.We present a comprehensive study of the optical behavior and growth mechanism of self-assembled GaN microdisks using nanoscale spatially resolved cathodoluminescence(CL)mapping.We have found a clear growth orientation-dependent optical behavior of the lateral and vertical growth sectors of self-assembled GaN microcrystals.The lateral growth sector,i.e.,the{101¯1}-growth sector,forms six side facets of the microdisk and shows significant near-bandgap emission(NBE)and weak deep energy level luminescence.Cavity effect enhanced emission was found for the first time in such a truncated hexagonal Na-flux GaN microdisk system with an ultra-smooth surface(Ra<0.7 nm)and low stress.The self-assembled microdisk shows significant ultraviolet(UV)lasing action(main lasing peak wavelength 370.9 nm,quality factor 1278,threshold 6×10^(4)μJ/cm^(2))under pulsed optical pumping.We believe that the appearance of UV lasing action may be related to the light limitation on the six side facets of the lateral growth of the GaN microdisk,the high structural quality,the low content of deep energy level defects,the low surface roughness,and the low stress. | Zhiwei Si Zongliang Liu Xiaoxuan Wang Chunxiang Xu Wei Lin Xiaoxuan Luo Feng Li Xiaoming Dong Shunan Zheng Xiaodong Gao Jianfeng Wang Ke Xu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,8: | 0 |

Excessive application of chemical fertilizer, organophosphorus pesticides and inappropriate disposal of agricultural waste induced water pollution and potentially threaten Agriculture Green Development(AGD). To ensure food security and the food supply capacity of the Yangtze River Basin, it is important to balance green and development, while ensuring the quality of water bodies. Multiple pollutants affect the transfer, adsorption, photolysis and degradation of each other throughout the soil-plant-water system.
