2Hydrodynamics and Mass Transfer in a Modified Three-phase Airlift Loop Reactor显示文摘A modified internal-loop airlift reactor (MIALR) with a continuous slurry phase was studied to investigate the local hydrodynamic characteristics, including gas holdup, bubble size, bubble rise velocity and local mass transfer properties. Based on the analysis of geometrical construction and fluid properties of gas and slurry, MIALR was divided into six flow regions. In these flow regions, the local hydrodynamic characteristics were investigated over a wide range of operating variables. Furthermore, a new method was developed to measure the dissolved oxygen concentration. 4RNA interference-mediated silencing of vATPase subunits A and E affect survival and development of the 28-spotted ladybeetle,Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata显示文摘RNA interference(RNAi)has emerged as a powerful tool for developing novel management strategies for controlling insect pests.The 28-spotted ladybeetle,Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata is one of the most important pests attacking solanaceous plants in Asia.In this study,the potential of dietary RNAi to manage H.vigintioctopunctata was investigated using both in vitro synthesized and bacterially expressed double-stranded RNAs(dsRNAs)of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E.The expression levels of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E were higher in Malpighian tubules than in other tissue types.The silencing of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E led to significant mortality in H.vigintioctopunctata larvae.In addition,the ingestion of HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E significantly deterred feeding behavior and subsequently arrested the development of H.vigintioctopunctata.Notably,the bacterially expressed dsRNAs consistently caused higher mortality in larvae and adults.Finally,the nontarget effects of the dsRNAs of H.vigintioctopunctata on the predatory ladybeetle Propylaea japonica were evaluated.P.japonica 1st instar larvae were administered vATPase A and vATPase E dsRNAs from H.vigintioctopunctata and P.japonica under the worst-case scenario,in which dsGFP served as negative control.There were significant effects of dsHvvATPase A on P.japonica at the transcriptional level but not at the organismal level,whereas dsHvvATPase E did not effect P.japonica at either the transcriptional or the organismal level.Collectively,the results of the study suggest that HvvATPase A and HvvATPase E can act as novel molecular targets for the control of H.vigintioctopunctata.Wei Guo Mujuan Guo Chunxiao Yang Zhuoqi Liu Shimin Chen Jing Lu Baoli Qiu Youjun Zhang Xuguo Zhou Huipeng Pan 2021Insect Science2021,28,6:3
5An unexpected similarity between antibiotic-resistant NDM-1 and beta-lactamaseⅡfrom Erythrobacter litoralis显示文摘NDM-1(New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase)gene encodes a metallo-beta-lactamase(MBL)with high carbapenemase activity,which makes the host bacterial strain easily dispatch the last-resort antibiotics known as carbapenems and cause global concern.Here we present the bioinformatics data showing an unexpected similarity between NDM-1 and beta-lactamase II from Erythrobacter litoralis,a marine microbial isolate.We have further expressed these two mature proteins in E.coli cells,both of which present as a monomer with a molecular mass of 25 kDa.Antimicrobial susceptibility assay reveals that they share similar substrate specificities and are sensitive to aztreonam and tigecycline.The conformational change accompanied with the zinc binding visualized by nuclear magnetic resonance,Zn2+-bound NDM-1,adopts at least some stable tertiary structure in contrast to the metal-free protein.Our work implies a close evolutionary relationship between antibiotic resistance genes in environmental reservoir and in the clinic,challenging the antimicrobial resistance monitoring.Beiwen Zheng Shuguang Tan Jia Gao Huiming Han Jun Liu Guangwen Lu Di Liu Yong Yi Baoli Zhu George F.Gao 2011Protein & Cell2011,2,3:2

12Genesis of calcite vein in basalt and its effect on reservoir quality: A case study of the Carboniferous in the east slope of Mahu sag, Junggar Basin, NW China显示文摘The characteristics and genesis of the calcite veins in Carboniferous basalt in the east slope of Mahu Sag,Junggar Basin are investigated based on observation of cores and thin sections;analyses of X-ray fluorescence,in situ major,trace and rare earth elements(REE),carbon,oxygen and strontium isotopes,fluid inclusions,as well as basin modeling.There are three periods of calcite fillings.The Period I calcite is characterized by low Mn content,flat REE pattern,strong negative cerium(Ce)anomaly,weak to moderate negative Eu anomaly,and light carbon isotopic composition,indicating the formation of the calcite was affected by meteoric water.The Period II calcite shows higher Mn and light REE contents,weak positive Ce anomaly and slight positive europium(Eu)anomaly,and a little heavier carbon isotopic composition and slightly lower strontium isotope ratio than the Period I calcite,suggesting that deep diagenetic fluids affected the formation of the Period II calcite to some extent.The Period III calcite is rich in iron and manganese and has REE pattern similar to that of the Period II calcite,but the cerium and europium enomalies vary significantly.The Period I and II calcites were formed in shallow diagenetic environment at approximately 250–260 Ma,corresponding to Late Hercynian orogeny at Late Permian.The PeriodⅢcalcite was probably formed in the Indo-China movement during Late Triassic.It is believed that the precipitation of calcite in basalt fractures near unconformity was related to leaching and dissolution of carbonates in the overlying Lower Permian Fengcheng Formation by meteoric water,which destructed the Carboniferous weathering crust reservoirs in early stage.Relatively high quality reservoirs could be developed in positions with weak filling and strong late dissolution,such as structural high parts with Fengcheng Formation missing,distant strata from Fengcheng Formation vertically,buried hills inside lake basin,etc.XIA Lu CAO Yingchang BIAN Baoli LIU Hailei WANG Xiaoxue ZHAO Yiwei YAN Miaomiao 2021Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,4:0
13Multi-dimensional multiplexing optical secret sharing framework with cascaded liquid crystal holograms显示文摘Secret sharing is a promising technology for information encryption by splitting the secret information into different shares.However,the traditional scheme suffers from information leakage in decryption process since the amount of available information channels is limited.Herein,we propose and demonstrate an optical secret sharing framework based on the multi-dimensional multiplexing liquid crystal(LC)holograms.The LC holograms are used as spatially separated shares to carry secret images.The polarization of the incident light and the distance between different shares are served as secret keys,which can significantly improve the information security and capacity.Besides,the decryption condition is also restricted by the applied external voltage due to the variant diffraction efficiency,which further increases the information security.In implementation,an artificial neural network(ANN)model is developed to carefully design the phase distribution of each LC hologram.With the advantage of high security,high capacity and simple configuration,our optical secret sharing framework has great potentials in optical encryption and dynamic holographic display.Keyao Li Yiming Wang Dapu Pi Baoli Li Haitao Luan Xinyuan Fang Peng Chen Yanqing Lu Min Gu 2024Opto-Electronic Advances2024,7,1:0

15TBNN: totally-binary neural network for image classification显示文摘Most binary networks apply full precision convolution at the first layer. Changing the first layer to the binary convolution will result in a significant loss of accuracy. In this paper, we propose a new approach to solve this problem by widening the data channel to reduce the information loss of the first convolutional input through the sign function. In addition, widening the channel increases the computation of the first convolution layer, and the problem is solved by using group convolution.
