1Effect of loss and coupling on the resonance of metamaterial:An equivalent circuit approach显示文摘In this work we establish an equivalent circuit model to analyze the resonace of the metamaterial considering the loss of the unit cell and coupling effect between them.From this model,we find that metamaterial can be divided into three categories:weak,critical and strong couplings,depending on the values of the loss and coupling strength,where the different resonant properties are presented.The physical reason of the division is whether the loss in each unit cell can be offset by energy coupling from the adjunct unit cells.Full-wave electromagnetic simulations have also been carried out to verify the equivalent circuit analysis.Our circuit analysis provides a simple and effective way to understand the coupling of the metamaterial and gives guidance for the analysis and design of the metamaterial.ZHANG YongGang WU JingBo LIANG LanJu ZHOU GaoChao JIN BiaoBing FENG YiJun 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,12:3
2Effect of Interlayers on Microstructure and Properties of 2205/Q235B Duplex Stainless Steel Clad Plate显示文摘In this research,2205/Q235 B clad plates were prepared by a vacuum hot rolling composite process.The effects of adding Fe,Ni,and Nb interlayers on the bonding interface structures and the shear strengths of the clad steel plates were studied.The results showed that 2205 duplex stainless steel and the three interlayers produced a large amount of plastic deformation and low-angle boundaries,and the main structures were the recrystallized and deformed grains.There were many recrystallized grains in the microstructure of the Q235 B low-carbon steel due to the low deformation in the rolling process.The Fe interlayer had better wettability with the two kinds of steel,but the lower strength led to the reduction of shear strength by about14 MPa compared with the original clad steel plate.The C element in the Q235 B low-carbon steel easily diffused into the Fe interlayer,and the clad steel plate attained a poor corrosion resistance because a large decarburization area was formed.The Nb interlayer reacted with the Mo element in the 2205 duplex stainless steel to form an Nb-Mo binary alloy,which generated long-banded ferrite.The decarburization area was also produced because the Nb reacted with the C element in the Q235 B to form hard and brittle NbCx.As a result,the shear strength was significantly reduced by about 282 MPa,and the corrosion resistance of the bonding surface was deteriorated.The Ni interlayer did not react with the alloy elements in both sides,and therefore effectively prevented element diffusion and improved the corrosion resistance of the bonding surface.Due to the low strength of the Ni interlayer and the increased number of bonding surfaces of the clad steel plates,the shear strength was reduced to some extent(about 40 MPa),but it still met the engineering application standards.Fengqiang Xiao Dongpo Wang Wenbin Hu Lei Cui Zhiming Gao Lanju Zhou 2020Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2020,33,5:2
3Terahertz narrow bandstop, broad bandpass filter using double-layer S-shaped metamaterials显示文摘In this study,double-layer S-shaped metamaterials(MMs)are analyzed by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy.These materials exhibit narrow bandstop and broad bandpass transmission properties at both horizontal and vertical electric-feld polarizations.A 117%increase in the unloaded quality factor is experimentally observed for these materials.The center frequency is approximately 0.45 THz,with a 3-dB bandwidth of 0.52 THz from 0.20 to 0.72 THz at normal incidence.The measured average insertion loss is 0.5 dB with a ripple of 1 dB.These results show that double-layer S-shaped MMs are efective in designing tunable terahertz devices.LIANG LanJu JIN BiaoBing WU JingBo ZHOU GaoChao ZHANG YongGang TU XueCou JIA Tao JIA XiaoQing CAO ChunHai KANG Lin XU WeiWei CHEN Jian 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,12:2
4Dual-conductive metal-organic framework@MXene heterogeneity stabilizes lithium-ion storage显示文摘Although a few pristine metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) of graphene analogue topology exhibit high intrinsic electrical conductivity, their use in lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) is still hampered by unfavorable Li+adsorption energy(ΔEa). In this paper, an electroconductive ferrocene-based MOF@MXene heterostructure is built to provide stable anodes for Li+storage. Charge density difference and planar average potential charge density show substantial redistribution of charges at the interfaces, transferring from MXene to MOF layers. Moreover, density functional theory(DFT) calculations reveal that the interaction between MXene and MOF significantly increases the ΔEa. As a result, the heterostructure anode exhibits high capacities and outstanding cycling stability with a capacity retention of 80% after 5000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1), outperforming mono-component MXene and MOF. Furthermore, the heterostructure anode is built into a full cell with a commercial NCM 532 cathode, delivering a high energy density of 611 Wh kg^(-1)and power density of 7600 W kg^(-1). 17High-sensitivity modulation of electromagnetically induced transparency analog in a THz asymmetric metasurface integrating perovskite and graphene显示文摘Active control of the electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT)analog is desirable in photonics development.Here,we theoretically and experimentally proposed a novel terahertz(THz)asymmetric metasurface structure that can possess high-sensitivity modulation under extremely low power density by integrating perovskite or graphene.Using the novel metasurface structure with the perovskite coating,the maximum amplitude modulation depth(AMD)of this perovskite-based device reached 490.53%at a low power density of 12.8037 mW/cm^(2).In addition,after the novel THz metasurface structure was combined with graphene,this graphene-based device also achieved high AMD with the maximum AMD being 180.56%at 16.312 mW/cm^(2),and its transmission amplitude could be electrically driven at a low bias voltage.The physical origin of this modulation was explained using a two-oscillator EIT model.This work provides a promising platform for developing high-sensitivity THz sensors,light modulators,and switches.TONGLING WANG TENGTENG LI HAIYUN YAO YUYING LU XIN YAN MAOYONG CAO LANJU LIANG MAOSHENG YANG JIANQUAN YAO 2022Photonics Research2022,10,10:0
18Hybrid metasurface using graphene/graphitic carbon nitride heterojunctions for ultrasensitive terahertz biosensors with tunable energy band structure显示文摘Integrating novel materials is critical for the ultrasensitive,multi-dimensional detection of biomolecules in the terahertz(THz)range.Few studies on THz biosensors have used semiconductive active layers with tunable energy band structures.In this study,we demonstrate three THz biosensors for detecting casein molecules based on the hybridization of the metasurface with graphitic carbon nitride,graphene,and heterojunction.We achieved lowconcentration detection of casein molecules with a 3.54 ng/m L limit and multi-dimensional sensing by observing three degrees of variations(frequency shift,transmission difference,and phase difference).The favorable effect of casein on the conductivity of the semiconductive active layer can be used to explain the internal sensing mechanism.The incorporation of protein molecules changes the carrier concentration on the surface of the semiconductor active layer via the electrostatic doping effect as the concentration of positively charged casein grows,which alters the energy band structure and the conductivity of the active layer.The measured results indicate that any casein concentration can be distinguished directly by observing variations in resonance frequency,transmission value,and phase difference.With the heterojunction,the biosensor showed the highest response to the protein among the three biosensors.The Silvaco Atlas package was used to simulate the three samples'energy band structure and carrier transport to demonstrate the benefits of the heterojunction for the sensor.The simulation results validated our proposed theoretical mechanism model.Our proposed biosensors could provide a novel approach for THz metasurface-based ultrasensitive biosensing technologies.HAIYUN YAO ZHAOQING SUN LANJU LIANG XIN YAN YARUWANG MAOSHENG YANG XIAOFEI HU ZIQUN WANG ZHENHUA LI MENG WANG CHUANXIN HUANG QILI YANG ZHONGJUN TIAN JIANQUAN YAO 2023Photonics Research2023,11,5:0
19Double Fano resonances in disk-nonconcentric ring plasmonic nanostructures显示文摘The plasmonic properties of gold nanostructures composed of a disk outside a nonconcentric ring are numerically studied by the finite difference time domain(FDTD)method.Simulated results show that two Fano resonances are formed as a result of the coupling of the octupolar and quadrupolar modes of the ring with the dipolar mode of the disk.The reduction in structural symmetry causes a red shift of the Fano resonances and distinct changes in spectral lineshape by offsetting the center of the inner surface of the ring to different directions.The effects of several geometric parameters on the characteristics of Fano resonances are also discussed.In addition,the refractive index(RI)sensitivities for the two Fano resonances can be up to 581 nm/RIU and 780 nm/RIU with the corresponding figure of merits(FOMs)as large as 12.7 and 10.2,respectively.Such properties render the structures useful for potential applications in multi-wavelength sensors.ZHANG Xingfang LIU Fengshou LIANG Lanju YAN Xin 2024Optoelectronics Letters2024,20,1:0
20Ultra-sensitive Dirac-point-based biosensing on terahertz metasurfaces comprising patterned graphene and perovskites显示文摘Biosensors are a focus of research on terahertz metasurfaces. However, reports of ultra-sensitive biosensors based on Dirac points are rare. Here, a new terahertz metasurface is proposed that consists of patterned graphene and perovskites. This serves as an ultra-sensitive Dirac-point-based biosensor for qualitative detection of sericin.Theoretically, sericin may make graphene n-doped and drive the Fermi level to shift from the valence band to the Dirac point, causing a dramatic decrease in conductivity. Correspondingly, the dielectric environment on the metasurface undergoes significant change, which is suited for ultra-sensitive biosensing. In addition, metal halide perovskites, which are up-to-date optoelectronic materials, have a positive effect on the phase during terahertz wave transmission. Thus, this sensor was used to successfully detect sericin with a detection limit of 780 pg/m L, achieved by changing the amplitude and phase. The detection limit of this sensor is as much as one order of magnitude lower than that of sensors in published works.
