1Emergence and prevalence of naturally occurring lower virulent African swine fever viruses in domestic pigs in China in 2020显示文摘African swine fever virus(ASFV)has been circulating in China for more than two years,and it is not clear whether the biological properties of the virus have changed.Here,we report on our surveillance of ASFVs in seven provinces of China,from June to December,2020.A total of 22 viruses were isolated and characterized as genotype II ASFVs,with mutations,deletions,insertions,or short-fragment replacement occurring in all isolates compared with Pig/HLJ/2018(HLJ/18),the earliest isolate in China.Eleven isolates had four different types of natural mutations or deletion in the EP402R gene and displayed a nonhemadsorbing(non-HAD)phenotype.Four isolates were tested for virulence in pigs;two were found to be as highly lethal as HLJ/18.However,two non-HAD isolates showed lower virulence but were highly transmissible;infection with 106 TCID50 dose was partially lethal and caused acute or sub-acute disease,whereas 103 TCID50 dose caused non-lethal,sub-acute or chronic disease,and persistent infection.The emergence of lower virulent natural mutants brings greater difficulty to the early diagnosis of ASF and creates new challenges for ASFV control.Encheng Sun Zhenjiang Zhang Zilong Wang Xijun He Xianfeng Zhang Lulu Wang Wenqing Wang Lianyu Huang Fei Xi Haoyue Huangfu Ghebremedhin Tsegay Hong Huo Jianhong Sun Zhijun Tian Wei Xia Xuewu Yu Fang Li Renqiang Liu Yuntao Guan Dongming Zhao Zhigao Bu 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,5:46

3Rapid and robust initialization for monocular visual inertial navigation within multi-state Kalman filter显示文摘Sensor-fusion based navigation attracts significant attentions for its robustness and accuracy in various applications.To achieve a versatile and efficient state estimation both indoor and outdoor, this paper presents an improved monocular visual inertial navigation architecture within the Multi-State Constraint Kalman Filter(MSCKF).In addition, to alleviate the initialization demands by appending enough stable poses in MSCKF, a rapid and robust Initialization MSCKF(I-MSCKF) navigation method is proposed in the paper.Based on the trifocal tensor and sigmapoint filter, the initialization of the integrated navigation can be accomplished within three consecutive visual frames.Thus, the proposed I-MSCKF method can improve the navigation performance when suffered from shocks at the initial stage.Moreover, the sigma-point filter is applied at initial stage to improve the accuracy for state estimation.The state vector generated at initial stage from the proposed method is consistent with MSCKF, and thus a seamless transition can be achieved between the initialization and the subsequent navigation in I-MSCKF.Finally, the experimental results show that the proposed I-MSCKF method can improve the robustness and accuracy for monocular visual inertial navigations.Wei FANG Lianyu ZHENG 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,1:8

6A smart assistance system for cable assembly by combining wearable augmented reality with portable visual inspection显示文摘Background Assembly guided by paper documents is the most widespread type used in the process of aircraft cable assembly.This process is very complicated and requires assembly workers with high-level skills.The technologies of wearable Augmented Reality(AR)and portable visual inspection can be exploited to improve the efficiency and the quality of cable assembly.Methods In this study,we propose a smart assistance system for cable assembly that combines wearable AR with portable visual inspection.Specifically,a portable visual device based on binocular vision and deep learning is developed to realize fast detection and recognition of cable brackets that are installed on aircraft airframes.A Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)is then developed to read the texts on cables after images are acquired from the camera of the wearable AR device.An authoring tool that was developed to create and manage the assembly process is proposed to realize visual guidance of the cable assembly process based on a wearable AR device.The system is applied to cable assembly on an aircraft bulkhead prototype.Results The results show that this system can recognize the number,types,and locations of brackets,and can correctly read the text of aircraft cables.The authoring tool can assist users who lack professional programming experience in establishing a process plan,i.e.,assembly outline based on AR for cable assembly.Conclusions The system can provide quick assembly guidance for aircraft cable with texts,images,and a 3 D model.It is beneficial for reducing the dependency on paper documents,labor intensity,and the error rate.Lianyu ZHENG Xinyu LIU Zewu AN Shufei LI Renjie ZHANG 2020Virtual Reality & Intelligent Hardware2020,2,1:5

8Synthesis of Reassortant Infectious Bursal Disease Virus in Chickens Injected Directly with Infectious Clones from Different Virus Strains显示文摘The infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV), a member of the Birnaviridae family, containing a bisegmented double-stranded RNA genome, encodes four structural viral proteins, VP1, VP2, VP3, and VP4, as well as a non-structural protein, VP5. In the present paper, the segment A from two IBDV strains,field isolate ZJ2000 and attenuated strain HZ2, were inserted into one NaeⅠ site by site-directed silent mutagenesis and subcloned into the eukaryotic expression plasmid pCI under the control of the human cytomegalovirus (hCMV) immediate early enhancer and promoter to construct the recombinant plasmids pCI-AKZJ2000 and pCI-AKHZ2, respectively. Each of the two recombinants was combined with another recombinant pCI plasmid containing the marked segment B of strain HZ2 (pCI-mB), and injected intramuscularly into nonimmunized chickens. Two chimeric IBDV strains were recovered from the chickens. Two out of eight chickens in each of two groups showed the bursal histopathological change. The reassortant virus derived from pCI-AKZJ2000/pCI-mB can infect chicken embryos and shows relatively low virulence. We have developed a novel virus reverse genetic approach for the study of IBDV. 11Genetic diversity and differentiation of masu salmon(Oncorhynchus masou masou) between and within cultured populations inferred from microsatellite DNA analysis显示文摘Masu salmon,Oncorhynchus masou masou,is one of the most valuable fishery species that has been introduced to China,though to date no studies on the genetic diversity and genetic relationship among hatchery populations has been performed with molecular markers.We undertook such a study and sampled 120 individuals from three hatchery stocks and analyzed 20 microsatellite loci.All loci were polymorphic and a total of 91 alleles were detected.A relatively low level of genetic diversity was revealed with effective number of allele of 3.1094,3.3299 and 3.1894 and expected heterozygosity of 0.6600,0.6648 and 0.6638 in the three stocks,respectively.Deviations from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium were found due to heterozygote deficit.Accordingly,evidence of genetic bottlenecks were found in the three stocks.An individual assignment test demonstrated that 85% of individuals were correctly assigned into their original stocks.Pairwise Fst revealed that significant differentiation occurred between these three stocks.The results of the study indicated that disequilibrium of genetic structure and differentiation has occurred in all three stocks.This information collectively provides a basis for measures to avoid of loss of genetic diversity and introgression in Chinese aquaculture.Zhiying JI Yuyong ZHANG Shuqiang CHEN Lianyu SHI 2012Zoological Research2012,33,4:2
