| 1 | Experimental Study on Effects of Fuel Injection on Scramjet Combustor Performance显示文摘In order to investigate the effects of fuel injection distribution on the scramjet combustor performance, there are conducted three sets of test on a hydrocarbon fueled direct-connect scramjet test facility. The results of Test A, whose fuel injection is carried out with injectors located on the top-wall and the bottom-wall, show that the fuel injection with an appropriate close-front and centralized distribution would be of much help to optimize combustor performances. The results of Test B, whose fuel injection is performed at the optimal injection locations found in Test A, with a given equivalence ratio and different injection proportions for each injector, show that this injection mode is of little benefit to improve combustor performances. The results of Test C with a circumferential fuel injection distribution displaies the possibility of ameliorating combustor performance. By analyzing the effects of injection location parameters on combustor performances on the base of the data of Test C, it is clear that the injector location has strong coupled influences on combus- tor performances. | 3 | Frequency Control at the Power Sending Side for HVDC Asynchronous Interconnections Between Yunnan Power Grid and the Rest of CSG显示文摘For a large-scale high voltage direct current (HVDC)asynchronous interconnected power grid, the frequency issue atthe power sending side under DC faults is a crucial problem.To solve this problem, based on rotor motion equations, theeffect of unbalanced power on the system frequency under DCfaults is analyzed. The characteristics and dynamic developmentprocess of frequencies after the injection of disturbances areanalyzed. In addition, the actions and coordinated strategies ofvarious frequency control measures are also investigated. Basedon the testing projects of an asynchronous interconnection in theChina Southern Power Grid (CSG), the frequency features arestudied according to the measured PMU data. The outcome showsthat the frequency problem of the Yunnan Power Grid after anasynchronous interconnection can be solved and controlled. Italso shows that the frequency limit control (FLC) is importantfor the frequency regulation of large scale HVDC asynchronousinterconnected DC power grids. | 4 | T cell-depleting nanoparticles ameliorate bone loss by reducing activated T cells and regulating the Treg/Th17 balance显示文摘Estrogen deficiency is one of the most frequent causes of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.Under chronic inflammatory conditions caused by estrogen deficiency,activated T cells contribute to elevated levels of proinflammatory cytokines,impaired osteogenic differentiation capabilities of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMMSCs),and disturbed regulatory T cell(Treg)/Th17 cell balance.However,therapeutic strategies that re-establish immune homeostasis in this disorder have not been well developed.Here,we produced T cell-depleting nanoparticles(TDNs)that ameliorated the osteopenia phenotype and rescued the osteogenic deficiency of BMMSCs in ovariectomized(OVX)mice.TDNs consist of monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1)-encapsulated mesoporous silica nanoparticles as the core and Fas-ligand(FasL)as the corona.We showed that the delicate design of the TDNs enables rapid release of MCP-1 to recruit activated T cells and then induces their apoptosis through the conjugated FasL both in vitro and in vivo.Apoptotic signals recognized by macrophages help skew the Treg/Th17 cell balance and create an immune tolerant state,further attenuating the osteogenic deficiency of BMMSCs and the osteopenia phenotype.Mechanistically,we found that the therapeutic effects of TDNs were partially mediated by apoptotic T cell-derived extracellular vesicles(ApoEVs),which promoted macrophage transformation towards the M2 phenotype.These findings demonstrate that TDNs may represent a promising strategy for treating osteoporosis and other immune disorders. | Xiaoshan Yang Fuxing Zhou Pingyun Yuan Geng Dou Xuemei Liu Siying Liu Xiangdong Wang Ronghua Jin Yan Dong Jun Zhou Yajie Lv Zhihong Deng Shiyu Liu Xin Chen Ying Han Yan Jin | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,10: | 4 |

| 7 | Rapid, automated, and reliable antimicrobial susceptibility test from positive blood culture by CAST‐R显示文摘Antimicrobial susceptibility tests(ASTs)are pivotal in combating multidrug resistant pathogens,yet they can be time‐consuming,labor‐intensive,and unstable.Using the AST of tigecycline for sepsis as the main model,here we establish an automated system of Clinical Antimicrobials Susceptibility Test Ramanometry(CAST‐R),based on D2O‐probed Raman microspectroscopy.Featuring a liquid robot for sample pretreatment and a machine learning‐based control scheme for data acquisition and quality control,the 3‐h,automated CAST‐R process accelerates AST by>10‐fold,processes 96 paralleled antibiotic‐exposure reactions,and produces high‐quality Raman spectra.The Expedited Minimal Inhibitory Concentration via Metabolic Activity is proposed as a quantitative and broadly applicable parameter for metabolism‐based AST,which shows 99%essential agreement and 93%categorical agreement with the broth microdilution method(BMD)when tested on 100 Acinetobacter baumannii isolates.Further tests on 26 clinically positive blood samples for eight antimicrobials,including tigecycline,meropenem,ceftazidime,ampicillin/sulbactam,oxacillin,clindamycin,vancomycin,and levofloxacin reveal 93%categorical agreement with BMD‐based results.The automation,speed,reliability,and general applicability of CAST‐R suggest its potential utility for guiding the clinical administration of antimicrobials. | Pengfei Zhu Lihui Ren Ying Zhu Jing Dai Huijie Liu Yuli Mao Yuandong Li Yuehui He Xiaoshan Zheng Rongze Chen Xiaoting Fu Lili Zhang Lijun Sun Yuanqi Zhu Yuetong Ji Bo Ma Yingchun Xu Jian Xu Qiwen Yang | 2022 | mLife2022,1,3: | 3 |

| 9 | Numerical simulation and inversion of offshore area depth based on x-band microwave radar显示文摘A detection method of offshore area depth utilizing the x-band microwave radar is proposed. The method is based on the sea clutter imaging mechanism of microwave radar, and combined with dispersion equation of the liner wave theorem and least square method(LSM), consequently get the inversion results of water depth in the detected region. The wave monitoring system OSMAR-X exploited by the Ocean State Laboratory, Wuhan University, based on a microwave radar has proven to be a powerful tool to monitor ocean waves in time and space. Numerical simulation and inversion of offshore area depth are carried out here; since JONSWAP model can give description of stormy waves in different growth phase, it is suitable for simulation. Besides, some results from measured data detected by OSMAR-X x-band radar located at Longhai of Fujian Province, China, validates this method. The tendency of the average water depths inferred from the radar images is in good agreement with the tide level detected by Xiamen tide station. These promising results suggest the possibility of using OSMAR-X to monitor operationally morphodynamics in coastal zones. | 10 | Detection of Asymptomatic Carotid Artery Stenosis in High-Risk Individuals of Stroke Using a Machine-Learning Algorithm显示文摘Objective Asymptomatic carotid stenosis(ACS)is closely associated to the incidence of severe cerebrovascular diseases.Early identifying the individuals with ACS and its associated risk factors could be beneficial for primary prevention of stroke.This study aimed to investigate a machine-learning algorithm for the detection of ACS among high-risk population of stroke based on the associated risk factors.Methods A novel model of machine learning was utilized to screen the associated predictors of ACS based on 30 potential risk factors.The algorithm of this model adopted a random forest pattern based on the training data and then was verified using the testing data.All of the original data were retrieved from the China National Stroke Screening and Prevention Project(CNSSPP),including demographic,clinical and laboratory characteristics.The individuals with high risk of stroke were enrolled and randomly divided into a training group and a testing group at a ratio of 4:1.The identification of carotid stenosis by carotid artery duplex scans was set as the golden standard.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and the area under the curve(AUC)was used to evaluate the efficacy of the model in detecting ACS.Results Of 2841 high risk individual of stroke enrolled,326(11.6%)were diagnosed as ACS by ultrasonography.The top five risk fectors contributing to ACS in this model were identified as family history of dyslipidemia,high level of lowdensity lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-c),low level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c),aging,and low body. | Junxiong Yin Cheng Yu Lixia Wei Chuanyong Yu Hongxing Liu Mingyang Du Feng Sun Chongjun Wang Xiaoshan Wang | 2020 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2020,35,4: | 2 |
| 11 | Immobilization of heparin on decellularized kidney scaffold to construct microenvironment for antithrombosis and inducing reendothelialization显示文摘In recent years, rapid development of tissue engineering technology provides possibilities for the construction of artificial tissues or organs. In construction of engineered kidneys, researchers used native decellularized extracellular matrix(ECM) as the scaffolds to recellularization. However, thrombosis has been a great issue that hinders the progress of transplantation in vivo. In this study, heparin was immobilized to the collagen part of decellularized scaffold with collagen-binding peptide(CBP). Through the anticoagulant and endothelial cell reperfusion experiments, it can be demonstrated that the heparinized scaffolds absorbed less platelets and red blood cells which can effectively reduce the formation of thrombosis. Moreover, it is conducive to longterm adhesion of endothelial cells which is important for the formation of subsequent vascularization. | 20 | Effects of long-term exposure to TDCPP in zebrafish( Danio rerio )–Alternations of hormone balance and gene transcriptions along hypothalamus-pituitary axes显示文摘Background : TDCPP is one of the major chemical of organophosphate flame retardants(OPFRs) that has been detected ubiquitously in both the environment and biota. Previously we observed that it influenced the concentrations of sex and thyroid hormones in a sex-dependent pattern, leading to reproductive impairments after short-term exposure in zebrafish. Here we investigate the consequences of longerterm exposure to TDCPP on the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonad(HPG), hypothalamicpituitary-i nterrenal(HPI), and hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid(HPT) axes of zebrafish( Danio rerio).Methods : A 120-day exposure test to 0.005, 0.05 and 0.5 mg/L TDCPP was initiated with fertilized eggs. Sex steroid hormones in the treated fishes were measured and transcriptional changes were analyzed.Results : In female fish, exposure to TDCPP resulted in increases in plasma cortisol,follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), luteinizing hormone(LH), 17β-estradiol(E2), cortisol, thyroxine(T4), and triiodothyronine(T3). Transcription of most target genes along HPG, HPI and HPT axes were increased by the exposure. While in male fish the exposure led to decreases in cortisol, FSH, LH, T4, T3, testosterone(T), and 11-ketotestosterone(11-KT). Transcription of genes along HPG, HPI and HPT axes,especially steroidogenic genes, were inhibited in male zebrafish. While, E2/T or E2/11-KT ratio was increased in both female and females. The sex-dependent changes in hormones might be due to differential responses to TDCPP induced stresses. An increase in cortisol level coincided with increases in E2 and THs in female fish, while in males decreases in cortisol as well as T, 11-KT and THs were observed.
