2Two-dimensional metal-organic-framework as a unique theranostic nano-platform for nuclear imaging and chemo-photodynamic cancer therapy显示文摘Nanoscale metal organic frameworks (NMOFs) with porous structure and inherent biodegradability are attractive nanomedicine platforms.In addition to conventional particulate NMOFs,two-dimensional (2D) NMOFs are emerging as a unique type of NMOFs which however have been relatively less explored for nanomedicine applications.Herein,2D NMOFs composed of Zn2+ and tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (TCPP) are fabricated and functionalized with polyethylene glycol (PEG).Compared to their particulate counterpart,such 2D NMOFs show greatly increased drug loading capacity and enhanced light-triggered singlet oxygen production,promising for chemotherapy and photodynamic therapy (PDT),respectively.Utilizing the porphyrin structure of TCPP,our 2D NMOFs could be labeled with a diagnostic radioisotope,99mTc,for single photon emission computer tomography (SPECT) imaging,which reveals efficient tumor homing of those 2D NMOFs upon intravenous injection.While offering a remarkable synergistic in vivo antitumor effect for the combined chemo-PDT,such 2D NMOFs show efficient biodegradation and rapid renal clearance.Our work presents the great promise of 2D NMOFs for nanomedicine applications.Wenjun Zhu Yu Yang Qiutong Jin Yu Chao Longlong Tian Jingjing Liu Ziliang Dong Zhuang Liu 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:9
3Geochemistry and zircon U-Pb geochronology of the rhyolitic tuff on Port Island, Hong Kong: Implications for early Cretaceous tectonic setting显示文摘Early Cretaceous rhyolitic tuffs,widely distributed on Port Island,provide insights into the volcanism and tectonic setting of Hong Kong.In this paper we present petrological,geochronological and geochemical data of the rhyolitic tuff to constrain the diagenesis age and petrogenesis of the rocks,tectonic setting and early Cretaceous volcanism of Hong Kong.The first geochronological data show that the zircons in the volcanic rocks have U-Pb age of 141.1-139.5 Ma,which reveals that the rhyolitic tuff on Port Island was formed in the early Cretaceous(K_1).Geochemically,these acid rocks,which are enriched in large ion lithophile elements(LILEs) and light rare earth elements(LREEs),and depleted in high field strength elements(HFSEs),belong to the high K calc-alkaline to shoshonite series with strongly-peraluminous characteristic.The geochemical analyses suggest that the volcanic rocks were derived from deep melting in the continental crust caused by basaltic magma underplating.Based on the geochemical analysis and previous studies,we concluded that the rhyolitic tuffs on Port Island were formed in a backarc extension setting in response to the subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate beneath the Eurasian Plate.Longlong Zhao Lulin Wang Mingzhong Tian Fadong Wu 2017Geoscience Frontiers2017,8,3:4
4Sonodynamic therapy with immune modulatable two-dimensional coordination nanosheets for enhanced anti-tumor immunotherapy显示文摘Ultrasound with deep penetration depth and high security could be adopted in sonodynamic therapy(SDT)by activating sonosensitizers to generate cytotoxic reactive oxygen species(ROS).Herein,two-dimensional(2D)coordination nanosheets composed of Zn^(2+)and Tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin(TCPP)are fabricated.While exhibiting greatly enhanced ultrasoundtriggered ROS generation useful for noninvasive SDT,such Zn-TCPP 2D nanosheets show high loading capacity of oligodeoxynudeotides such as cytosine—phosphorothioate-guanine(CpG),which is a potent toll like receptor 9(TLR9)agonist useful in activating immune responses.Highly effective SD T of primary tumors could release tumor-associated antigens,which working together with Zn-TCPP/CpG adjuvant nanosheets could function like whole-tumor-cell vaccines and trigger tumor-specific immune responses.Interestingly,ultrasound itself could strengthen anti-tumor immune responses by improving the tumor-infiltration of T cells and limiting regulatory T cells in the tumor microenvironment.Thus,SDT using Zn-TCPP/CpG nanosheets after destruction of primary tumors could induce potent antitumor immune responses to inhibit distant abscopal tumors without direct SD T treatment.Moreover,SDT with Zn-TCPP/CpG could trigger strong immunological memory effects to inhibit cancer recurrence after elimination of primary tumors.Therefore,the 2D coordination nanosheet may be a promising platform to deliver potent SDT-triggered immunotherapy for highly effective cancer treatment.Wenjun Zhu Qian Chen Qiutong Jin Yu Chao Lele Sun Xiao Han Jun Xu Longlong Tian Jinglei Zhang Teng Liu Zhuang Liu 2021Nano Research2021,14,1:3
5CaCO3-Assisted Preparation of pH-Responsive Immune-Modulating Nanoparticles for Augmented Chemo-Immunotherapy显示文摘Due to the negative roles of tumor microenvironment(TME)in compromising therapeutic responses of various cancer therapies,it is expected that modulation of TME may be able to enhance the therapeutic responses during cancer treatment.Herein,we develop a concise strategy to prepare pH-responsive nanoparticles via the CaCO3-assisted double emulsion method,thereby enabling effective co-encapsulation of both doxorubicin(DOX),an immunogenic cell death(ICD)inducer,and alkylated NLG919(aNLG919),an inhibitor of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1(IDO1).The obtained DOX/aNLG919-loaded CaCO3 nanoparticles(DNCaNPs)are able to cause effective ICD of cancer cells and at the same time restrict the production of immunosuppressive kynurenine by inhibiting IDO1.Upon intravenous injection,such DNCaNPs show efficient tumor accumulation,improved tumor penetration of therapeutics and neutralization of acidic TME.As a result,those DNCaNPs can elicit effective anti-tumor immune responses featured in increased density of tumor-infiltrating CD8+cytotoxic T cells as well as depletion of immunosuppressive regulatory T cells(Tregs),thus effectively suppressing the growth of subcutaneous CT26 and orthotopic 4T1 tumors on the Balb/c mice through combined chemotherapy&immunotherapy.This study presents a compendious strategy for construction of pH-responsive nanoparticles,endowing significantly enhanced chemo-immunotherapy of cancer by overcoming the immunosuppressive TME.Yujie Zhu Zhijuan Yang Ziliang Dong Yimou Gong Yu Hao Longlong Tian Xianzhu Yang Zhuang Liu Liangzhu Feng 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,2:3
6Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous volcanism of Hong Kong: Insights from the Ping Chau Formation显示文摘The vast expanse of Mesozoic igneous rocks in Hong Kong contain important geological records of late Mesozoic magmatic events and tectonic processes from the coastal region of Southeast China. Of these,the Ping Chau Formation in the northwestern New Territories is the youngest known stratum. We perform a detailed study of the volcanic rocks of the Ping Chau Formation utilizing zircon U-Pb dating,with major and trace elements geochemistry. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb data reveal Early Cretaceous age from two volcanic rock samples, with zircon crystallization from magmas at 140.3 ± 0.8 Ma and 139.3 ± 0.9 Ma,respectively. These rocks have high contents of total alkalis(Na_2O + K_2O = 5.58-9.45 wt.%), high-field-strength elements and light rare earth elements, conspicuous negative Eu anomalies, and depletions in Nb, Ta, Ti, Sr, Ba and P. Using this data, in combination with previous studies on the late Mesozoic volcanic belt in Southeast China, we propose that the volcanic rocks of the Ping Chau Formation probably originated from deep melting of the crust in a back-arc extensional setting induced by the subduction of the paleo-Pacific Plate. This formation represents the final stages of Early Cretaceous volcanic activity in Hong Kong, as associated with large-scale lithospheric extension, thinning and magmatism. 8The Geological Significance of a Tuffite Interlayer in the Cretaceous Port Island Formation in Northeastern Hong Kong显示文摘The Port Island Formation(PIF), a typical Cretaceous red bed in Hong Kong, is dominated by non-fossiliferous, reddish clastic rocks, making it difficult to determine the sedimentary age of PIF precisely. Previous studies assigned the PIF to Late Cretaceous provisionally only on the basis of its stratigraphic sequence and lithology. This study identified a tuffite interlayer in the PIF and a zircon UPb age of 128.2±2.7 Ma by LA-ICP-MS method was obtained. It's the first time to date the depositional age of the PIF with a reliable chronological constraint. With the support of stratigraphic evidence, we concluded that the geological age of PIF should be Early Cretaceous rather than Late Cretaceous. Based on the volcanic history of Hong Kong and Southeast China and the distribution of the PIF in Mirs Bay, it is believed that there was no volcanic activity in Hong Kong in ca. 128 Ma. The tuffite interlayer discovered in PIF was formed by the deposition of volcanic ash, which might originate from remote region outside Hong Kong, in an aquatic environment on Port Island. 9Fabrication of a sinter-resistant Fe-MFI zeolite dragonfruit-like catalyst for syngas to aromatics conversion显示文摘Direct conversion of syngas to aromatics has great potential to decrease fossil fuel dependence.Here,a unique structured hybrid catalyst composed of Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles intimately dispersed inside an acidic zeolite is developed.1 to 4 nm sized Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles end up evenly dispersed in an acidic and slightly mesoporous Al-ZSM-5 based on Fe_(3)O_(4) restructuring during co-hydro thermal synthesis using organosilane modification.A very high aromatic productivity of 214 mmolaromatics h^(-1) gFe^(-1) can be obtained with a remarkable 62%aromatic selectivity in hydrocarbons.This catalyst has excellent sintering resistance ability and maintains stable aromatics production over 570 h.The synthetic insights that postulate a mechanism for the metastable oxide-zeolite reorganization during hydrothermal synthesis could serve as a generic route to sinter-resistant oxide-zeolite composite materials with uniform,well-dispersed oxide nanoparticles in close intimacy with-and partially confined in-a zeolite matrix.Chenguang Wang Chengyan Wen Zheng Liang Zhipeng Tian Qian Jiang Yuhe Liao Xunzhu Jiang Lungang Chen Qiying Liu Longlong Ma Michiel Dusselier 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2:0
