1Optical observations of LIGO source GW 170817 by the Antarctic Survey Telescopes at Dome A,Antarctica显示文摘The LIGO detection of gravitational waves(GW) from merging black holes in 2015 marked the beginning of a new era in observational astronomy. The detection of an electromagnetic signal from a GW source is the critical next step to explore in detail the physics involved. The Antarctic Survey Telescopes(AST3),located at Dome A, Antarctica, is uniquely situated for rapid response time-domain astronomy with its continuous night-time coverage during the austral winter. We report optical observations of the GW source(GW 170817) in the nearby galaxy NGC 4993 using AST3. The data show a rapidly fading transient at around 1 day after the GW trigger, with the i-band magnitude declining from 17:23 ± 0:13 magnitude to 17:72 ± 0:09 magnitude in ~1:8 h. The brightness and time evolution of the optical transient associated with GW 170817 are broadly consistent with the predictions of models involving merging binary neutron stars. 2Influence of filler morphology on percolation threshold of isotropical conductive adhesives (ICA)显示文摘Different aspect ratio silver nano-structured materials including nanocubes,nanorods and nanowires were prepared by micro-waved assisted glycol reduction method.Different characterization methods including SEM and XRD were processed on these nanomaterials.Isotropical conductive adhesives(ICA) were developed by using these Ag nanomaterials as conductive fillers.It was found that the conductivity and thermal conductivity percolation threshold of the ICA depended on the morphologies of the fillers,lower percolation threshold could be obtained by using higher aspect ratio filler.A modified percolation threshold theory was put forward to explain and simulate the experiment results,the simulated results could match the experiment results very well.TAO Yu YANG ZhenGuo LU XiaoLu TAO GuoLiang XIA YanPing WU HaiPing 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,1:4

4MULTI-TILLERING DWARF1, a new allele of BRITTLE CULM 12, affects plant height and tiller in rice显示文摘Plant height and tillering are crucial factors determining rice plant architecture and influencing rice grain production. In this study, multi-tillering dwarf1(mtd1), a stable multi-tiller and dwarf mutant, was screened from the ethylmethane sulfonate-treated japonica rice variety Wuyunging7. Compared with the wild type, mtd1 mutant exhibited pleiotropic phenotypes, including dwarfism, more tillers, brittle culms and delayed heading date.By employing map-based cloning strategy, the gene MTD1 was finally mapped to an approximately 66-kb region on the short arm of chromosome 9. Sequencing results showed that the gene LOC_Os09g02650(BC12) in mtd1 mutant had a single nucleotide substitution(G to A), which generated a premature translation stop. Over-expressing MTD1/BC12 coding sequence rescued all the phenotypes of mtd1 mutants including plant height and tillers, which confirms that BC12 is the mutated gene in mtd1 mutant.Quantitative reverse transcription-PCR analysis showed that MTD1/BC12 could negatively regulate the expression of MONOCULM 1, IDEAL PLANT ARCHITECTURE1 and Tillering and Dwarf 1, and control rice tillering. Remarkably, a-amylase activity analysis and gibberellic acid(GA)treatment showed that the dwarf phenotype of mtd1 mutant was dependent on GA biosynthesis pathway. 5A pulsed switching peroxi-coagulation process to control hydroxyl radical production and to enhance 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid degradation显示文摘The aim of this study was to develop a new pulsed switching peroxi-coagulation system to control hydroxyl radical(∙OH)production and to enhance 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D)degradation.The system was constructed with a sacrifice iron anode,a Pt anode,and a gas diffusion cathode.Production of H_(2)O_(2) and Fe^(2+)was controlled separately by time delayers with different pulsed switching frequencies.Under current densities of 5.0 mA/cm^(2)(H_(2)O_(2))and 0.5 mA/cm^(2)(Fe^(2+)),the∙OH production was optimized with the pulsed switching frequency of 1.0 s(H_(2)O_(2)):0.3 s(Fe^(2+))and the ratio of H_(2)O_(2) to Fe^(2+)molar concentrations of 6.6.Under the optimal condition,2,4-D with an initial concentration of 500 mg/L was completely removed in the system within 240 min.The energy consumption for the 2,4-D removal in the system was much lower than that in the electro-Fenton process(686 vs.13610 kWh/kg TOC).The iron consumption in the system was~20 times as low as that in the peroxi-coagulation process(19620 vs.3940400 mg/L)within 240 min.The system should be a promising peroxi-coagulation method for organic pollutants removal in wastewater.Yaobin Lu Songli He Dantong Wang Siyuan Luo Aiping Liu Haiping Luo Guangli Liu Renduo Zhang 2018Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2018,12,5:3
6Surface engineering of titania nanotubes incorporated with double-layered extracellular vesicles to modulate inflammation and osteogenesis显示文摘Titania nanotubes(TNT)generated on titanium implant are emerged as important modification technique to facilitate bone regeneration.Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)-derived exosomes are membrane bound extracellular vesicles(EVs),which play an important role in tissue regeneration.The objective of this study was to generate an EVs hybrid TNT aiming at regulating inflammation,MSCs recruitment and osteogenesis.We isolated EVs from MSCs(MSCs EVs)and 3-day osteogenically differentiated MSCs(3d EVs).MSC EVs and 3d EVs exhibited round morphology under TEM,which also showed robust internalization by human bone marrow derived MSCs(hBMSCs).Next,we fabricated 3d EVs/MSC EVs hybrid TNT.When inflammatory macrophages were co-cultured with EVs hybrid TNT,the gene and protein expression of inflammatory cytokine were significantly reduced.Macrophage morphology was also examined by confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Further migratory ability study using hBMSCs indicated significant enhancement of MSCs migration in EVs hybrid TNT.In addition,we further demonstrated significant increase of osteogenic differentiation of hBMSCs in EVs hybrid TNT.This study suggests that EVs hybrid TNT may serve as a viable therapeutic approach to enhance osteogenesis and bone regeneration.Qingyu Zhao Yi Zhang Lan Xiao Haiping Lu Yaping Ma Qi Liu Xin Wang 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,3:3

9Synergistic Optimization of Buried Interface by Multifunctional Organic-Inorganic Complexes for Highly Efficient Planar Perovskite Solar Cells显示文摘For the further improvement of the power conversion efficiency(PCE)and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs),the buried interface between the perovskite and the electron transport layer is crucial.However,it is challenging to effectively optimize this interface as it is buried beneath the perovskite film.Herein,we have designed and synthesized a series of multifunctional organic-inorganic(OI)complexes as buried interfacial material to promote electron extraction,as well as the crystal growth of the perovskite.The OI complex with BF4−group not only eliminates oxygen vacancies on the SnO_(2) surface but also balances energy level alignment between SnO_(2) and perovskite,providing a favorable environment for charge carrier extraction.Moreover,OI complex with amine(−NH_(2))functional group can regulate the crystallization of the perovskite film via interaction with PbI2,resulting in highly crystallized perovskite film with large grains and low defect density.Consequently,with rational molecular design,the PSCs with optimal OI complex buried interface layer which contains both BF4−and−NH_(2) functional groups yield a champion device efficiency of 23.69%.More importantly,the resulting unencapsulated device performs excellent ambient stability,maintaining over 90%of its initial efficiency after 2000 h storage,and excellent light stability of 91.5%remaining PCE in the maximum power point tracking measurement(under continuous 100 mW cm−2 light illumination in N2 atmosphere)after 500 h.Heng Liu Zhengyu Lu Weihai Zhang Hongkang Zhou Yu Xia Yueqing Shi Junwei Wang Rui Chen Haiping Xia Hsing-Lin Wang 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,9:1
