Results revealed that the genetic diversity by SSRs is highly consistent with that by phenotypic traits and the genetic diversity of indica cultivars was higher than that of japonica cultivars; the genetic diversity of cultivars declined from 1950s to 1980s and then increased greatly; among the six rice ecological zones (REZs), genetic diversity of REZTl was the highest and those of REZV and REZVT were the lowest at both DNA and phenotypic level. Jiangsu and Jiangxi provinces in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River and Sichuan province in southwest of China were the areas with the highest genetic diversity. | 3 | ^(207)Pb/^(206)Pb Zircon Dating of the Huangtuling Hypersthene-Garnet-Biotite Gneiss from the Dabie Mountains, Luotian County, Hubei Province, China: New Evidence for Early Precambrian Evolution显示文摘The Huangtuling hypersthene-garnet-biotite gneiss at Luotian County, Hubei Provine, is a typicalgranulite-facies rock of the Dabie Group Complex in the Dabie orogenic belt. Investigations on the morphology andoccurrence of zircons and their internal structures shown in the thin sections lead to the recognition of three types ofzircons, which are in good agreement with the types identified on the basis of morphology, colour and external fea-tures from the related zircon concentrates. The observation of zircons in the rock reveals that part of type 1 zirconsshow signs of a double-layered structure. The interval part existed in the protolith prior to the granulite-facies meta-morphism. Type 2, the prismatic zircons which mainly occur in garnet and hypersthene are metamorphic minerals ofthe granulite-facies metamorphism. Type 3, the round multifaceted zircons in felsic minerals and biotite, are proba-bly attributed to a later geological event related to migmatization. The 207Pb/206Pb zircon dating by direct evaporationon (thermal evaporation ion mass spectrometer) yields ages ranging from 2814 Ma to 1992 Ma. The age discrepancyamong these different zircon types is conspicuous. The yellow-brown(type 1) zircons give ages of 2814±29 Ma to2527±6 Ma, the prismatic euhedral zircons (type 2), 2456±7 Ma to 2254±4 Ma, and the round multifaceted zircons(type 3), 1992±10 Ma. The results are geologically interpreted in consideration of the complicated behaviours of zir-cons during Precambrian geological evolution of the Dabie area. (1) If the protolith of the gneiss is a sedimentaryrock, then type 1 zircons are clastic ones and the ages 2814±29 Ma and 2811±27 Ma may reflect the minimum age ofthe rocks of its source region. also the first geological event in the area. Sedimentation of the protolith occurred be-tween 2814 Ma and 2527 Ma, probably close to 2814 Ma. If the protolith is a volcanic rock, then the formation age ofthe supracrustal rocks of the Dabie Group Complex is around 2814 Ma. The age 2456±7 Ma reflects the time whenthe granulite-facies metamorphism took place. The later migmatization event is dated at aboat 1992±10 Ma, and isprobably the latest early Precambrian event in the area. | 4 | Root and shoot traits responses to phosphorus deficiency and QTL analysis at seedling stage using introgression lines of rice显示文摘Phosphorous(P) deficiency is a major restraint factor for crop production and plants have developed several mechanisms to adapt to low P stress.In this study,a set of 271 introgression lines(ILs) were used to characterize the responses of seedlings to low P availability and to identify QTLs for root traits,biomass,and plant height under P-deficiency and P-sufficiency conditions.Plant height,total dry weight,shoot dry weight,and root number were inhibited under P-deficiency,whereas maximum root length(MRL) and root-shoot ratio(RS) were induced by P-deficiency stress.Relative MRL(RMRL,the ratio of MRL under P-deficiency to MRL under P-sufficiency con-dition) and relative RS(RRS) were used to evaluate P-deficiency tolerance at the seedling stage.A total of 24 additive QTLs and 29 pairs of epistatic QTLs were detected,but only qRN4 was detected in both conditions.This suggested that different mechanisms may exist in both P supply levels.QTLs for adaptive traits(RMRL,RRS,RRV,and RRDW) and qRN4 consistently expressed to increase trait stabil-ity may contribute to P-deficiency tolerance.Twelve intervals were cluster regions of QTLs for P-deficiency tolerance,and one QTL(qRRS8) showed pleiotropic effects on P-deficiency tolerance and drought tolerance.These interesting QTLs can be used in marker-assisted breeding through the target ILs. | Junzhou Li Yan Xie Anyong Dai Lifeng Liu Zichao Li | 2009 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2009,36,3: | 12 |
| 5 | Geographical genetic diversity and divergence of common wild rice (O. rufipogon Griff.) in China显示文摘Using 36 SSR markers and 889 accessions of common wild rice in China, the genetic diversity and the divergence among different geographical populations are investigated. Guangdong Province has the largest number of alleles, which account for 84% of the total alleles detected in the study, followed by Guangxi Province. The Nei's gene diversity indices, from high to low, are in the sequence of Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangxi, and Yunnan provinces. Two genetic diversity centers of Chinese common wild rice are detected on the basis of geographic analysis, i.e., the region covering Boluo, Zijin, Lufeng, Haifeng, Huidong and Huiyang counties of Guangdong Province and the region covering Yongning, Longan, Laibin and Guigang counties of Guangxi Province. The common wild rice in Yunnan, Hunan, Jiangxi, and Fujian provinces are diverged into respectively independent populations with relatively large genetic distances, whereas, those in Hainan, Guangdong and Guangxi provinces have relatively low genetic divergence. | 6 | High strength and high conductivity Cu alloys: A review显示文摘High strength and high conductivity(HSHC) Cu alloys are widely used in many fields,such as high-speed electric railway contact wires and integrated circuit lead frames. Pure Cu is well known to have excellent electrical conductivity but rather low strength. The main concern of HSHC Cu alloys is how to strengthen the alloy efficiently. However,when the Cu alloys are strengthened by a certain method,their electrical conductivity will inevitably decrease to a certain extent. This review introduces the strengthening methods of HSHC Cu alloys. Then the research progress of some typical HSHC Cu alloys such as Cu-Cr-Zr,Cu-Ni-Si,Cu-Ag,Cu-Mg is reviewed according to different alloy systems. Finally,the development trend of HSHC Cu alloys is forecasted. It is pointed out that precipitation and micro-alloying are effective ways to improve the performance of HSHC Cu alloys. | 11 | Assessing indica-japonica differentiation of improved rice varieties using microsatellite markers显示文摘To assess the indica-japonica differentiation of improved rice varieties, a total of 512 modern varieties including 301 indica and 211 japonica accessions were analyzed using 36 microsatellites. The Fst coefficients ranged from 0.002 to 0.730 among the loci with an average of 0.315. Significant differentiation was detected at 94.4% of the loci studied (P<0.05, pairwise Fst tests), indicating that there was a high level of indica-japonica differentiation within the improved varieties. At 18 loci, about 74%-98% of the alleles of indica and japonica accessions were distributed in two ranges of amplicon length. Linkage disequilibrium analysis showed that the distribution trends were significantly nonrandomly associated. Using the differentiation trends at the 18 loci, microsatellite index (MI) was proposed for discrimination of the two subspecies. When rice accessions with MI value greater than zero were classified as indica, and those with MI value smaller than zero were classified as japonica, about 96.1% of the accessions could be classified. | 12 | Photoelectrocatalytic reduction of CO_2 to methanol over a photosystem Ⅱ-enhanced Cu foam/Si-nanowire system显示文摘A solar-light double illumination photoelectrocatalytic cell(SLDIPEC) was fabricated for autonomous CO_2 reduction and O_2 evolution with the aid of photosystem II(PS-II, an efficient light-driven water-oxidized enzyme from nature) and utilized in a photoanode solution. The proposed SLPEC system was composed of Cu foam as the photoanode and p-Si nanowires(Si-NW) as the photocathode. Under solar irradiation, it exhibited a super-photoelectrocatalytic performance for CO_2 conversion to methanol, with a high evolution rate(41.94 mmol/hr), owing to fast electron transfer from PS-II to Cu foam.Electrons were subsequently trapped by Si-NW through an external circuit via bias voltage(0.5 V), and a suitable conduction band potential of Si(-0.6 e V) allowed CO_2 to be easily reduced to CH_3 OH at the photocathode. The constructed Z-scheme between Cu foam and Si-NW can allow the SLDIPEC system to reduce CO_2(8.03 mmol/hr) in the absence of bias voltage. | 13 | Genetic structure and diversity of Oryza sativa L. in Guizhou,China显示文摘Preserving many kinds of rice resources and rich variations, Guizhou Province is one of the districts with the highest genetic diversity of cultivated rice (Oryza sativa L.) in China. In the current research, genetic diversity and structure of 537 accessions of cultivated rice from Guizhou were studied using 36 microsatellite markers and 39 phenotypic characters. The results showed that the model-based genetic structure was the same as genetic-distance-based one using SSRs but somewhat different from the documented classification (mainly based on phenotype) of two subspecies. The accessions being classified into indica by phenotype but japonica by genetic structure were much more than that being classified into japonica by phenotype but indica by genetic structure. Like Ding Ying’s taxonomic sys- tem of cultivated rice, the subspecific differentiation was the most distinct differentiation within culti- vated rice. But the differentiation within indica or japonica population was different: japonica presented clearer differentiation between soil-watery ecotypes than indica, and indica presented clearer differen- tiation between seasonal ecotypes than japonica. Cultivated rices in Guizhou revealed high genetic diversity at both DNA and phenotypic levels. | 14 | QTL mapping and QTL × environment interaction analysis of multi-seed pod in cultivated peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)显示文摘To dissect the genetic mechanism of multi-seed pod in peanut, we explored the QTL/gene controlling multi-seed pod and analyzed the interaction effect of QTL and environment. Two hundred and forty eight recombinant inbred lines(RIL) from cross Silihong × Jinonghei 3 were used as experimental materials planted in 8 environments from 2012 to 2017. Three methods of analysis were performed. These included individual environment analysis, joint analysis in multiple environments, and epistatic interaction analysis for multi-seed pod QTL. Phenotypic data and best linear unbiased prediction(BLUP) value of the ratio of multi-seed pods per plant(RMSP) were used for QTL mapping. Seven QTL detected by the individual environmental mapping analysis and were distributed on linkage groups 1, 6, 9, 14, 19(2), and 21. Each QTL explained 4.42%–11.51% of the phenotypic variation in multi-seed pod, and synergistic alleles of5 QTL were from the Silihong parent. One QTL, explaining 4.93% of the phenotypic variation was detected using BLUP data, and this QTL mapped in the same interval as q RMSP19.1 detected in the individual environment analysis. Seventeen additive QTL were identified by joint analysis across multiple environments. A total of 43 epistatic QTL were detected by ICIM-EPI mapping in the multiple environment trials(MET) module, and involved 57 loci. Two main-effect QTL related to multi-seed pod in peanut were filtered. We also found that RMSP had a highly significant positive correlation with pod yield per plant(PY), and epistatic effects were much more important than additive effects. | 15 | Fine mapping of the awn gene on chromosome 4 in rice by association and linkage analyses显示文摘Awnness is a key trait in rice domestication, yet no studies have been conducted on fine mapping or association mapping of the rice awn gene. In this study, we investigated the awnness and genotype of a core collection of 303 cultivated rice varieties and a BC5F2 segregating population of 200 individuals. Combining association and linkage analyses, we mapped the awnness related genes to chromosome 4. Primary association analysis using 24 SSR markers revealed five loci significantly associated with awnness on chromosome 4. The associated markers cover previously identified regions. Fine association mapping was conducted using another 29 markers within a 4-Mb region, covering the associated marker in34, which is close to the awn gene Awn4.1. Seven associated markers were revealed, distributed over an 870-kb region. Combining the fine association mapping and linkage analysis of awnness in the 200 BC5F2 segregating population, we finally identified a 330-kb region as the candidate region for Awn4.1. | 17 | Comparative transcriptional profiling under drought stress between upland and lowland rice (Oryza sativa L.) using cDNA-AFLP显示文摘The continuous growth of lowland rice (LR) in paddy fields supplied with enough water over the years, and of upland rice (UR) in naturally rain-fed soils, has resulted in greater resistance to drought stress in UR compared to LR. To elucidate their differential regulation mechanisms of drought-resistance, genome-wide transcript regulation under drought stress in UR and LR was investigated using cDNA-AFLP. The results indicated that over 90% of gene expression was not affected by drought stress in the two rice genotypes, more than 8% was regulated by drought stress in both, and less than 1% was specifically expressed in UR or LR. Fifty-seven genes were specifically expressed in UR and thirty-eight specifically in LR. Genes specifically expressed in UR included cell rescue and defence genes functioning in drought-resistance, signal transduction molecules, nucleotides and amino acid biosynthesis genes required for plant growth, and the regulatory genes for growth and development. In LR, genes specifically expressed were related to protein and nucleotide degradation. Some genes were upregulated earlier in UR, and downregulated genes were inclined to be downregulated earlier in UR compared to LR, implying that more rapid regulation mechanisms caused earlier responses of UR to drought stress. Expression levels of upregulated genes in UR were higher than those in LR. | 18 | Overexpression of miR-101 suppresses collagen synthesis by targeting EZH2 in hypertrophic scar fibroblasts显示文摘Background:MicroRNA-101(miR-101)is a tumor suppressor microRNA(miRNA)and its loss is associated with the occurrence and progression of various diseases.However,the biological function and target of miR-101 in the pathogenesis of hypertrophic scars(HS)remains unknown.Methods:We harvested HS and paired normal skin(NS)tissue samples from patients and cultured their fibroblasts(HSF and NSF,respectively).We used quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR),fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH),enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA)and Western blot analyses to measure mRNA levels and protein expression of miR-101,enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2),collagen 1 and 3(Col1 and Col3)andα-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)in different in vitro conditions.We also used RNA sequencing to evaluate the relevant signaling pathways and bioinformatics analysis and dual-luciferase reporter assays to predict miR-101 targets.We utilized a bleomycin-induced fibrosis mouse model in which we injected miR-101 mimics to evaluate collagen deposition in vivo.Results:We found low expression of miR-101 in HS and HSF compared to NS and NSF.Overexpressing miR-101 decreased Col1,Col3 andα-SMA expression in HSF.We detected high expression of EZH2 in HS and HSF.Knockdown of EZH2 decreased Col1,Col3 andα-SMA in HSF.Mechanistically,miR-101 targeted the 3-untranslated region(3UTR)of EZH2,as indicated by the decreased expression of EZH2.Overexpressing EZH2 rescued miR-101-induced collagen repression.MiR-101 mimics effectively suppressed collagen deposition in the bleomycin-induced fibrosis mouse model.Conclusions:Our data reveal that miR-101 targets EZH2 in HS collagen production,providing new insight into the pathological mechanisms underlying HS formation. | Jie Li Yan Li Yunchuan Wang Xiang He Jing Wang Weixia Cai Yanhui Jia Dan Xiao Jian Zhang Ming Zhao Kuo Shen Zichao Li Wenbin Jia Kejia Wang Yue Zhang Linlin Su Huayu Zhu Dahai Hu | 2021 | Burns & Trauma2021,9,1: | 3 |
