CXCL5/CXCR2 axis in tumor microenvironment as potential diagnostic biomarker and therapeutic target显示文摘The components of the tumor microenvironment(TME)in solid tumors, especially chemokines, are currently attracting much attention from scientists.C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 5(CXCL5)is one of the important chemokines in TME.Over-expression of CXCL5 is closely related to the survival time, recurrence and metasta-sis of cancer patients. In TME,CXCL5 binds to its receptors, such as C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 2(CXCR2),to participate in the recruitment of immune cells and promote angiogenesis, tumor growth, and metastasis. The CXCL5/CXCR2 axis can act as a bridge between tumor cells and host cells in TME.Blocking the trans-mission of CXCL5/CXCR2 signals can increase the sensitivity and effectiveness of immunotherapy and slow down tumor progression.CXCL5 and CXCR2 are also regarded as biomarkers for predicting prognosis and molecular targets for customiz-ing the treatment. In this review,we summarized the current literature regarding the biological functions and clinical significance of CXCL5/CXCR2 axis in TME.The possibility to use CXCL5 and CXCR2 as potential prognostic biomarkers and thera-peutic targets in cancer is also discussed. | Wen Zhang Huishan Wang Mingyang Sun Xueting Deng Xueru Wu Yilan Ma Mengjing Li Said Maisam Shuoa Qiang You Lin Miao | 2020 | Cancer Communications2020,40,2: | 19
Applications of HPLC/MS in the analysis of traditional Chinese medicines显示文摘In China, traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs)have been used in clinical applications for thousands of years. The successful hyphenation of high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)and mass spectrometry(MS)has been applied widely in TCMs and biological samples analysis.Undoubtedly,HPLC/MS technique has facilitated the understanding of the treatment mechanism of TCMs.We reviewed more than 350 published papers within the last 5 years on HPLC/MS in the analysis of TCMs.The present review focused on the applications of HPLC/MS in the component analysis, metabolites analysis, and pharmacokinetics of TCMs etc.50% of the literature is related to the component analysis of TCMs,which show that this field is the most popular type of research. In the metabolites analysis,HPLC coupled with electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry has been demonstrated to be the powerful tool for the characterization of structural features and fragmentation behavior patterns. This paper presented a brief overview of the applications of HPLC/MS in the analysis of TCMs.HPLC/MS in the fingerprint analysis is reviewed elsewhere. | Miao Li Xiao- Fang Hou Jie Zhang Si-Cen Wang Qiang Fu Lang- Chong He | 2011 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2011,1,2: | 17
Green coal mining technique integrating mining-dressing-gas draining-backfilling-mining显示文摘Aiming to address the following major engineering issues faced by the Pingdingshan No. 12 mine:(1) difficulty in implementing auxiliary lifting because of its depth(i.e., beyond 1000 m);(2) highly gassy main coal seam with low permeability;(3) unstable overlying coal seam without suitable conditions for implementing conventional mining techniques for protective coal seam; and(4) predominant reliance on ‘‘under three' coal resources to ensure production output. This study proposes an integrated, closed-cycle mining-dressing-gas draining-backfilling-mining(MDGBM) technique. The proposed approach involves the mining of protective coal seam, underground dressing of coal and gangue(UDCG), pressure relief and gas drainage before extraction, and backfilling and mining of the protected coal seam. A system for draining gas and mining the protective seam in the rock stratum is designed and implemented based on the geological conditions. This system helps in realizing pressure relief and gas drainage from the protective seam before extraction. Accordingly, another system, which is connected to the existing production system, is established for the UDCG based on the dense medium-shallow trough process. The mixed mining workface is designed to accommodate both solid backfill and conventional fully mechanized coal mining, thereby facilitating coal mining, USCG, and backfilling. The results show that: The mixed mining workface length for the Ji15-31010 protected seam was 220 m with coal production capacity 1.2 million tons per year, while the backfill capacity of gangue was 0.5 million tons per year. The gas pressure decreased from 1.78 to 0.35 MPa, and the total amount of safely mined coal was 1.34 million tons. The process of simultaneously exploiting coal and draining gas was found to be safe, efficient, and green. This process also yielded significant economic benefits. | Zhang Jixiong Zhang Qiang Spearing A.J.S.(Sam) Miao Xiexing Guo Shuai Sun Qiang | 2017 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2017,27,1: | 14
Structure Styles of Mesozoic-Cenozoic U-bearing Rock Series in Northern China显示文摘In Northern China,sandstone-type uranium(U) deposits are mostly developed in MesozoicCenozoic basins. These U deposits are usually hosted in unvarying horizons within the basins and exhibit typical U-forming sedimentary associations, which is referred to as U-bearing rock series. This study describes the structural features of U-bearing rock series within the main Mesozoic-Cenozoic Uproducing continental basins in Kazakhstan,Uzbekistan, and Russia in the western segment of the Central Asian Metallogenic Belt(CAMB),and Northern China in the eastern segment of the CAMB. We analyze the basic structural conditions and sedimentary environments of U-bearing rock series in Northern China and classify their structural styles in typical basins into river valley, basin margin, and intrabasin uplift margin types. The intrabasin uplift margin structural style proposed in this study can be used to indicate directions for the exploration of sandstone-type U deposits hosted in the center of a basin. At the same time, the study of structural style provides a new idea for exploring sandstone-type U deposits in Mesozoic-Cenozoic basins and it is of great significance to prospecting of sandstone-type uranium deposits. | JIN Ruoshi MIAO Peisen SIMA Xianzhang LI Jianguo ZHAO Hualei ZHAO Fengqing FEN Xiaoxi CHEN Yin CHEN Lulu ZHAO Lijun ZHU Qiang | 2016 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2016,90,6: | 12
Effects of anesthetic methods on preserving anti-tumor T-helper polarization following hepatectomy显示文摘AIM:To investigate the impact of different anesthetic techniques on T-helper(Th) cell subsets in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) patients undergoing hepatectomy.METHODS:Sixty-one HCC patients who received hepatectomies were randomized into an epidural combined general anesthesia(G + E;n = 31) or a general anesthesia(G;n = 30) group.Blood samples were obtained the morning before the operation(d0),and on the second(d2) and seventh(d7) day after the operation.Th cell contents were evaluated using flow cytometry, realtime reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS:In all 61 patients,Th1 and Th2 cell frequencies, and interferon-(IFN-) mRNA expression markedly increased on d2,compared to d0.They recovered slightly on d7,and the Th1/Th2 ratio increased markedly on d7,compared with d2.In contrast,Th17,regulatory T cell(Treg),and interleukin-17(IL-17) levels and FOXP3 mRNA expression showed no significant change on d2,and then markedly decreased on d7.Similarly,plasma IFN-concentration on d2 was much higher than that on d0,and then partly recovered on d7.As compared with the G group,in the G + E group,Th1 cell frequencies and the Th1/Th2 ratio were slightly higher on d2 and significantly higher on d7,while Th2,Th17,and Treg cell frequencies were slightly lower on d2,and significantly lower on d7.Consistently,on d7,IFN-mRNA and protein levels and the IFN-/IL-4 ratio in the G + E group were higher than those in the G group. In contrast, the IL-17 mRNA level, and IL-17 and transforming growth factor-1 concentrations in the G + E group were lower than those in the G group.CONCLUSION:G + E is superior to G in shifting the Th1/Th2 balance towards Th1,while decreasing Th17 and Treg, potentially benefiting HCC patients by promoting anti-tumor Th polarization. | Di Zhou Fang-Ming Gu Qiang Gao Quan-Lin Li Jian Zhou Chang-Hong Miao, | 2012 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,24: | 11
A New Critical Nitrogen Dilution Curve for Rice Nitrogen Status Diagnosis in Northeast China显示文摘In-season diagnosis of crop nitrogen(N) status is crucial for precision N management. Critical N(N_c) dilution curve and N nutrition index(NNI) have been proposed as effective methods to diagnose N status of different crops. The N_c dilution curves have been developed for indica rice in the tropical and temperate zones and japonica rice in the subtropical-temperate zone, but they have not been evaluated for short-season japonica rice in Northeast China. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the previously developed N_c dilution curves for rice in Northeast China and to develop a more suitable N_c dilution curve in this region. A total of17 N rate experiments were conducted in Sanjiang Plain, Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China from 2008 to 2013. The results indicated that none of the two previously developed N_c dilution curves was suitable to diagnose N status of the short-season japonica rice in Northeast China. A new N_c dilution curve was developed and can be described by the equation N_c = 27.7 W^(-0.34) if W ≥ 1 Mg dry matter(DM) ha^(-1) or N_c = 27.7 g kg^(-1) DM if W < 1 Mg DM ha^(-1), where W is the aboveground biomass. This new curve was lower than the previous curves. It was validated using a separate dataset, and it could discriminate non-N-limiting and N-limiting nutritional conditions. Additional studies are needed to further evaluate it for diagnosing N status of different rice cultivars in Northeast China and develop efficient non-destructive methods to estimate NNI for practical applications. | HUANG Shanyu MIAO Yuxin CAO Qiang YAO Yinkun ZHAO Guangming YU Weifeng SHEN Jianning YU Kang Georg BARETH | 2018 | Pedosphere2018,28,5: | 10

Dexmedetomidine attenuates inflammation and pancreatic injury in a rat model of experimental severe acute pancreatitis via cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway显示文摘Background:Excessive inflammatory responses play a critical role in the development of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP),and controlling such inflammation is vital for managing this often fatal disease.Dexmedetomidine has been reported to possess protective properties in inflammatory diseases. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate whether dexmedetomidine pre-treatment exerts an anti-inflammatory effect in rats with SAP induced by sodium taurocholate, and if so,to determine the potential mechanism. Methods:SAP was induced with sodium taurocholate.Rats received an intraperitoneal injection of dexmedetomidine 30 min before sodium taurocholate administration.α-bungarotoxin,a selective alpha-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor(α7nAchR)antagonist,was injected intra-peritoneally 30 min before dexmedetomidine administration. The role of the vagus nerve was evaluated by performing unilateral cervical vagotomy before the administration of dexmedetomidine.Efferent discharge of the vagal nerve was recorded by the BL-420F Data Acquisition&Analysis System.Six hours after onset, serum pro-inflammatory cytokine(tumor necrosis factorα[TNF-α]and interleukin 6[IL-6])levels and amylase levels were determined using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and an automated biochemical analyzer, respectively.Histopathological changes in the pancreas were observed after hematoxylin and eosin staining and scored according to Schmidt criteria.Results:Pre-treatment with dexmedetomidine significantly decreased serum levels of TNF-α,IL-6,and amylase, strongly alleviating pathological pancreatic injury in the rat model of SAP(TNF-α:174.2±30.2 vs.256.1±42.4 pg/ml;IL-6:293.3±46.8 vs.421.7±48.3 pg/ml;amylase:2102.3±165.3 vs.3186.4±245.2 U/L).However,the anti-inflammatory and pancreatic protective effects were abolished after vagotomy or pre-administration ofα-bungarotoxin.Dexmedetomidine also significantly increased the discharge frequency and amplitude of the cervical vagus nerve in the SAP rat model(discharge frequency:456.8±50.3 vs.332.4±25.1 Hz;discharge amplitude:33.4±5.3 vs.20.5±2.9μV).Conclusions:Dexmedetomidine administration attenuated the systemic inflammatory response and local pancreatic injury caused by SAP in rats through the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway involving vagus-andα7nAChR-dependent mechanisms. | Dong-Ya Huang Qiang Li Chen-Yuan Shi Chao-Qun Hou Yi Miao Hong-Bing Shen | 2020 | Chinese Medical Journal2020,,9: | 8
THE RADIATION AND DIFFRACTION OF WATER WAVES BY A BOTTOM-MOUNTED CIRCULAR CYLINDER IN A TWO-LAYER FLUID显示文摘An analytical method was proposed to analyze the radiation and diffraction of water waves by a bottom-mounted circular cylinder in a two-layer fluid. Analytical expressions for added mass and damping coefficients, as well as the wave excitation forces of the circular cylinder were obtained by an eigenfunction expansion method. The hydrodynamic forces on the bottom-mounted circular cylinder in a two-layer fluid include not only the added mass and damping coefficients, but also the wave forces of the surface and internal-wave modes. This is different from the case of a homogenous fluid. Some examples were given, showing that density stratification can have a relative large effect on these hydrodynamic forces over a wide range of frequencies. | YOU Yun-xiang SHI Qiang MIAO Guo-ping | 2007 | Journal of Hydrodynamics2007,19,1: | 7
Hierarchical Honeycomb-Structured Electret/Triboelectric Nanogenerator for Biomechanical and Morphing Wing Energy Harvesting显示文摘Flexible, compact, lightweight and sustainable power sources are indispensable for modern wearable and personal electronics and small-unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs).Hierarchical honeycomb has the unique merits of compact mesostructures, excellent energy absorption properties and considerable weight to strength ratios.Herein,a honeycomb-inspired triboelectric nanogenerator(h-TENG)is proposed for biomechanical and UAV morphing wing energy harvesting based on contact triboelectrification wavy surface of cellular honeycomb structure. The wavy surface comprises a multilayered thin film structure(combining polyethylene terephthalate, silver nanowires and fluorinated ethylene propylene)fabricated through high-temperature thermoplastic molding and wafer-level bonding process. With superior synchronization of large amounts of energy generation units with honeycomb cells, the manufactured h-TENG prototype produces the maximum instantaneous open-circuit voltage,short-circuit current and output power of 1207 V,68.5μA and 12.4 mW,respectively, corresponding to a remarkable peak power density of 0.275 mW cm^(−3)(or 2.48 mW g^(−1))under hand pressing excitations.Attributed to the excellent elastic property of self-rebounding honeycomb structure, the flexible and transparent h-TENG can be easily pressed, bent and integrated into shoes for real-time insole plantar pressure mapping. The lightweight and compact h-TENG is further installed into a morphing wing of small UAVs for efficiently converting the flapping energy of ailerons into electricity for the first time. This research demonstrates this new conceptualizing single h-TENG device’s versatility and viability for broad-range real-world application scenarios. | Kai Tao Zhensheng Chen Haiping Yi Ruirong Zhang Qiang Shen Jin Wu Lihua Tang Kangqi Fan Yongqing Fu Jianmin Miao Weizheng Yuan | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,8: | 7
Characterization of the start-up behavior and steady-state performance of biotrickling filter removing low concentration toluene waste gas显示文摘A biotrickling filter packed with the regular ceramic spheres was designed and fabricated to purify the low toluene-concentration waste gas.Particular attention was made to the study of the start-up behavior of the biotrickling filter. Moreover, the steady performances were investigated to establish the experimental correlation between the operation factors and removal efficiency. It was found that the start-up process of the biotrickling filter exhibited three stages including the biofilm formation, biofilm development, and biofilm stabilization. The OD600 nm of the circulated liquid, gas pressure drop, elimination capacity, and temperature rise maintained at a rather low level in the biofilm formation stage, then increased rapidly in the biofilm development stage, and finally reached a stable value in the biofilm stabilization stage. It was also found that the removal efficiency of the biotrickling filter in the stable period decreased with increase in the waste gas flow rate, circulated liquid flow rate, and diameter of the ceramic sphere.More interestingly,it was revealed the operation modes have a significant influence on the removal efficiency of the biotrickling filter, and the microorganism show a high activity under the operating temperature ranging from 30°C to 40°C.The experimental correlations for describing the effect of operation factors on the removal efficiency of the biotrickling filters under both the co-current and counter-current operation modes were obtained. The correlation results are in good agreement with the experimental data. | CHEN Rong LIAO Qiang TIAN Xin WANG YongZhong ZHU Xun MIAO JunHe | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,6: | 4

Microcavity top-emission perovskite light-emitting diodes显示文摘Light-emitting diodes(LEDs)based on perovskites show great potential in lighting and display applications. However, although perovskite films with high photoluminescence quantum efficiencies are commonly achieved, the efficiencies of perovskite LEDs are largely limited by the low light out-coupling efficiency. Here,we show that high-efficiency perovskite LEDs with a high external quantum efficiency of 20.2% and an ultrahigh radiant exitance up to 114.9mWcm^(−2) can be achieved by employing the microcavity effect to enhance light extraction. The enhanced microcavity effect and light outcoupling efficiency are confirmed by the study of angle-dependent emission profiles. Our results show that both the optical and electrical properties of the device need to be optimized to achieve high-performance perovskite LEDs. | Yanfeng Miao Lu Cheng Wei Zou Lianghui Gu Ju Zhang Qiang Guo Qiming Peng Mengmeng Xu Yarong He Shuting Zhang Yu Cao Renzhi Li Nana Wang Wei Huang Jianpu Wang | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 4
An Improved Genetic Algorithm with Quasi-Gradient Crossover显示文摘The convergence of genetic algorithm is mainly determined by its core operation crossover opera-tion.When the objective function is a multiple hump function, traditional genetic algorithms are easily trapped into local optimum, which is called premature conver-gence.In this paper,we propose a new genetic algorithm with improved arithmetic crossover operation based on gradient method. This crossover operation can generate offspring along quasi-gradient direction which is the Steepest descent direction of the value of objective func-tion.The selection operator is also simplified, every individual in the population is given an opportunity to get evolution to avoid complicated selection algorithm. The adaptive mutation operator and the elitist strategy are also applied in this algorithm. The case 4 indicates this algorithm can faster converge to the global optimum and is more stable than the conventional genetic algor ithms. | Xiao-Ling Zhang Li Du Guang-Wei Zhang Qiang Miao Zhong-Lai Wang | 2008 | Journal of Electronic Science and Technology of China2008,6,1: | 4

Online Detection of Broken Rotor Bar Fault in Induction Motors by Combining Estimation of Signal Parameters via Min-norm Algorithm and Least Square Method显示文摘Current research in broken rotor bar(BRB) fault detection in induction motors is primarily focused on a high-frequency resolution analysis of the stator current.Compared with a discrete Fourier transformation, the parametric spectrum estimation technique has a higher frequency accuracy and resolution. However, the existing detection methods based on parametric spectrum estimation cannot realize online detection, owing to the large computational cost. To improve the efficiency of BRB fault detection,a new detection method based on the min-norm algorithm and least square estimation is proposed in this paper. First, the stator current is filtered using a band-pass filter and divided into short overlapped data windows. The min-norm algorithm is then applied to determine the frequencies of the fundamental and fault characteristic components with each overlapped data window. Next, based on the frequency values obtained, a model of the fault current signal is constructed. Subsequently, a linear least squares problem solved through singular value decomposition is designed to estimate the amplitudes and phases of the related components. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a simulated current and an actual motor, the results of which indicate that, not only parametric spectrum estimation technique. | Pan-Pan Wang Qiang Yu Yong-Jun Hu Chang-Xin Miao | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2017,30,6: | 4
Systems pharmacology dissection of action mechanisms for herbs in osteoporosis treatment显示文摘Objective:Osteoporosis has become the biggest cause of non-fatal health issue.Currently, the limitations of traditional anti-osteoporosis drugs such as long-term ill-effects and drug resistance, have raised concerns toward complementary and alternative therapies, particularly herbal medicines and their natural active compounds. Thus, this study aimed to provide an integrative analysis of active chemicals, drug targets and interacting pathways of the herbs for osteoporosis treatment. Methods:Here,we introduced a systematic pharmacology model, combining the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion(ADME)screening model, drug targeting and network pharmacology,to probe into the therapeutic mechanisms of herbs in osteoporosis. Results:We obtained 86 natural compounds with favorable pharmacokinetic profiles and their 58 targets from seven osteoporosis-related herbs.Network analysis revealed that they probably synergistically work through multiple mechanisms, such as suppressing inflammatory response, maintaining bone metabolism or improving organism immunity,to benefit patients with osteoporosis.Furthermore, experimental results showed that all the five compounds(calycosin, asperosaponin VI,hederagenin, betulinic acid and luteolin)enhanced osteoblast proliferation and differentiation in vitro, which corroborated the validity of this system pharmacology approach.Notably, gentisin and aureusidin among the identified compounds were first predicted to be associated with osteoporosis. Conclusion:Herbs and their natural compounds, being characterized as the classical combination therapies, might be engaged in multiple mechanisms to coordinately improve the osteoporosis symptoms. This work may contribute to offer novel strategies and clues for the therapy and drug discovery of osteoporosis and other complex diseases. | Ying Huai Wen-juan Zhang Wei Wang Kai Dang Shan-feng Jiang Dan-ming Li Meng Li Qiang Hao Zhi-ping Miao Yu Li Ai-rong Qian | 2021 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2021,13,3: | 3
Territorial suitability assessment and function zoning in the Jiuzhaigou earthquake-stricken area显示文摘An earthquake in the Jiuzhaigou area caused numerous secondary disasters, such as rolling stones, land collapse, landslides and debris flow, which badly affected the safety of human settlements and influenced the spatial layout of the post-disaster reconstruction. Therefore, carrying out assessments of land and identifying a suitable zone for human habitats were very important. This research creates the territorial suitability assessment and function zoning conceptual model in the earthquake-stricken area, and the new methods of the territorial suitability evaluation system were used to divide the spatial functional zones of the earthquake stricken area, which provide a theoretical guidance and decisionmaking basis for the reconstruction of the disaster area. The results showed that:(1) The Jiuzhaigou earthquake-stricken area comprises of an ecological area that has a high level of importance to the ecosystem. In the earthquake-stricken area, 65% of national land is at an altitude of 3000-4000 m, and therefore not suitable for a high level of intensive reconstruction, but reconstructed in an eco-friendly manner.(2) The zone suitable for reconstruction comprises mainly of the river valley and the flat terrain of western parts. The land with low suitability is mainly located on steep terrain, such as highmountains and low gullies. The geographic and geomorphic conditions limit the spread of a suitable reconstruction zone.(3) The earthquake-stricken area mainly comprises of a tourism industry gathering area, population gathering area, agriculture and animal husbandry development area, and ecological preservation area with areas of 76 km^2, 44 km^2, 1591 km^2 and 7512 km^2, respectively. Scientifically zoning the reconstruction areas using scientific evaluation may provide guidance for the location of reconstruction sites. | YU Hui QIANG Miao LIU Shao-quan | 2019 | Journal of Mountain Science2019,16,1: | 3
