| 2 | Comparative study on nutrient composition and antioxidant capacity of potato based on geographical and climatic factors显示文摘Potatoes are consumed in the human diet,but the environmental effects on the nutrient content of their tubers are not known.Five potato varieties from China(Chongqing,Dingxi,Qiqihar,Enshi,and Ulanqab)were selected to compare their nutritional components and antioxidant capacity and to explore the correlation between nutrition and local rainfall,humidity,temperature,and light time.The results indicated the Qiqihar cultivar presents significantly higher antioxidant capacity,and has the most elevated protein and soluble sugar contents.The total phenol(TPC)(325.07μg/g)and carotenoid contents(54.93μg/100g)of the Ulanqab cultivar were the highest.The Dingxi cultivar reveals the highest total flavonoids(TFC)(168.94μg/g),K,Mg,and P contents.The ascorbic acid content(26.09 mg/100g)was the highest in the Chongqing cultivar,and the contents of starch,Ca,total acid,and water were also prominent.The amino acid content(7.350%)in the Enshi cultivar is higher.It was found that soluble sugar was significantly correlated with humidity,temperature,and light time;carotenoids were affected considerably by rainfall;ascorbic acid has a strong correlation with temperature;TPC was moderately associated with humidity and light time.To summarize,tubers’nutrient composition and antioxidant capacity vary with geographical location and climate of origin.This study will help provide a theoretical basis for selecting geographical areas for potato planting and exploring the complex interactive factors between environment and vegetable attributes. | Bing Zhang Ayesha Murtaza Aamir Iqbal Jiao Zhang Tingting Bai Wanlu Ma Xiaoyun Xu Siyi Pan Wanfeng Hu | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,46,2: | 1 |
| 3 | AgInS_(2)/ZnS quantum dots for noninvasive cervical cancer screening with intracellular pH sensing using fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy显示文摘Intracellular pH plays a critical role in biological functions,and abnormal pH values are related to various diseases.Here,we report on an intracellular pH sensor AgInS_(2)(AIS)/ZnS quantum dots(QDs)that show long fluorescence lifetimes of hundreds of nanoseconds and low toxicity.Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy(FLIM)combined with AIS/ZnS QDs is used for the imaging of live cells in different pH buffers and different cell lines.The FLIM images of AIS/ZnS QDs in live cells demonstrate different intracellular pH values in different regions,such as in lysosomes or cytoplasm.This method can also distinguish cancer cells from normal cells,and the fluorescence lifetime difference of the AIS/ZnS QDs between the two types of cells is 100±7 ns.Most importantly,the exfoliated cervical cells from 20 patients are investigated using FLIM combined with AIS/ZnS QDs.The lifetime difference value between the normal and cervical cancer(CC)groups is 115±9 ns,and the difference between the normal and the precancerous lesion group is 64±9 ns.For the first time,the noninvasive method has been used for cervical cancer screening,and it has shown great improvement in sensitivity compared with a clinical conventional cytology examination. | Wenhua Su Dan Yang Yulan Wang Yawei Kong Wanlu Zhang Jing Wang Yiyan Fei Ruiqian Guo Jiong Ma Lan Mi | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,6: | 0 |
| 4 | Qilan preparation(芪蓝颗粒) inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis by down-regulating microRNA-21 in humaqin Tca8113 tongue squamous cell carcinoma cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to examine the antitumor effects of Qilan preparation(芪蓝颗粒) on oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC) in vitro and to investigate its underlying mechanisms of action. METHODS: Cell proliferation, cell cycle distribution and apoptosis were examined using cell counting kit-8(CCK8) and flow cytometry(FCM). The expression of PTEN and PDCD4 were determined by western blot. Changes in miR-21 levels were quantified using Taq Man stem-loop real-time PCR. After miR-21 was transiently transfected into Tca8113 cells using Lipofectamine?3000, cell proliferation, apoptosis and miR-21 and PDCD4 expression levels were measured. RESULTS: Qilan preparation inhibited Tca8113 cell growth in a dose-and time-dependent manner by inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in S-phase, decreasing miR-21 levels and increasing PTEN and PDCD4 expression.
