3Integrated energy-oriented cruising control of electric vehicle on highway with varying slopes considering battery aging显示文摘Eco-driving strategies for vehicles with conventional powertrains have been studied for years and attempt to reduce fuel consumption by optimizing the driving velocity profile.For electric vehicles(EVs)with regenerative braking,the speed profile with the best energy efficiency should be different from conventional vehicles.This paper proposes an energy-oriented cruising control strategy for EVs with a hierarchical structure to realize eco-cruising on highways with varying slopes.The upper layer plans the energy-optimized vehicle velocity,and the lower layer calculates the torque allocation between the front and rear axles.However,the resulting speed profile with varying velocity may cause a high charge and discharge rate of the battery,resulting in rapid battery fading.To extend the battery life,we make a tradeoff between the energy consumption and wear of the battery by formulating an optimal control problem,where driving comfort and travel time are also considered.An indirect optimal control method is implemented to derive the optimal control rule.As an extension,the control rule for avoiding rear-end collisions is presented and simulated for driving in the real world.ZHUANG WeiChao QU LingHu XU ShaoBing LI BingBing CHEN Nan YIN GuoDong 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,1:10
4Physicians’Perception of Palliative Care Consultation Service in a Major General Hospital in China显示文摘Objectives The in-hosptial palliative care consultation(PCC)is emerging as a routine service in some medical center in China.The current study evaluated how physicians in primary care team and consultation team perceive the PCC service for the purpose of investigating the effectiveness of this consultation model in a general hospital.Methods In-hosptial palliative care consultations have been carried out at Peking Union Medical College Hosptial by a dedicated consultation team,and37consultations were completed in2016.A questionnaire was designed for physicians in terms of its benefits to patients,their family as well as the primary care team.Physicians who applied for consultation in2016formally(requested from the department other than the Geriatrics)and informally(by rotating residents and unemployed visiting doctors in geriatric department)were invited to participate in the survey by scanning a two dimentional code on social networking platform.Results There were103physicians participated in the survey,including primary care physicians from the department of Internal Medicine(n=8),Gynaecology(n=16)and Surgery(n=13),rotating residents(n=30),visiting doctors(n=16)in Geriatric department,and PCC team members(n=20).94.0%of the non-PCC physicians agreed that PCC relieved the suffering of patients;89.2%thought PCC improved the quality of patients'life;there were91.6%,95.2%,90.4%physicians who felt it relieved the anxiety of patients,of family members and of care providers,respectively.There were96.4%physicians who felt it could ease the tension in physician-patient relationship;97.6%felt it lower the risk for medical negligence,and96.4%of doctors who applied for PPC felt satisfied with PCC service in terms of process and achieving objectives of consultation.More primary-team physician agree'PCC service helps the physicians better understand palliative care'than PCC members(97.6%vs.80%,P<0.05),while both were interested in learning more on palliative medicine(100%vs.96.4%,P>0.05).Xuan Qu Nan Jiang Nan Ge Xiaohong Ning 2018Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2018,33,4:9

6Poor oncologic outcomes of hepatocellular carcinoma patients with intra-abdominal infection after hepatectomy显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the impact of postoperative infectious complications on hepatocellular carcinoma following curative hepatectomy.METHODS:We performed a retrospective analysis of200 hepatocellular carcinoma patients who underwent hepatectomy at our institution between September2003 and June 2011.The patients’demographics,clinicopathological characteristics and postoperative infectious complications were analyzed.The ClavienDindo classification was adopted to assess the severity of complications.The dynamic change in the neutrophilto-lymphocyte ratio,defined as the absolute neutrophil count divided by the absolute lymphocyte count,after surgery was also investigated.The observation endpoints for this study were recurrence-free survival and overall survival of the patients.Statistical analysis of the survival curves was performed using the KaplanMeier method and the log-rank test.The prognosticvalue of each variable for predicting prognosis was assessed via multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis.The cutoff score for each variable was selected based on receiver operating characteristic curve analysis.All statistical tests were two-sided,and significance was set at P<0.05.RESULTS:The median age of the patients was 49years,and the majority of patients were male(86%)and had been infected with hepatitis B virus(86%).The 30-d postoperative infectious complication rate was34.0%(n=68).Kaplan-Meier survival analysis revealed that postoperative infection was significantly correlated with tumor recurrence(P<0.001).The postoperative intra-abdominal infection group exhibited a worse prognosis than the non-intra-abdominal infection group(P<0.001).A significantly increased incidence of postoperative intra-abdominal infection was observed in the patients with hepatic cirrhosis(P=0.028),concomitant splenectomy(P=0.007)or vascular invasion(P=0.026).The patients who had an elevated postoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio change(>1.643)clearly exhibited poorer recurrence-free survival than those who did not(P=0.009),although no significant correlation was observed between overall survival and the change in the postoperative neutrophilto-lymphocyte ratio.Based on multivariate analysis,hepatitis B surface antigen positivity,Child-TurcottePugh class B,an elevated postoperative neutrophilto-lymphocyte ratio change and intra-abdominal infection were significant predictors of poor recurrencefree survival.Hepatic cirrhosis,the maximal tumor diameter and intra-abdominal infection were significant predictors of overall survival.CONCLUSION:Postoperative intra-abdominal infection adversely affected oncologic outcomes,and the change in postoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio was a good indicator of tumor recurrence in hepatocellular carcinoma patients after curative hepatectomy.Dan-Yun Ruan Ze-Xiao Lin Yang Li Nan Jiang Xing Li Dong-Hao Wu Tian-Tian Wang Jie Chen Qu Lin Xiang-Yuan Wu 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,18:8

9In vivo evaluation of urokinase-loaded hollow nanogels for sonothrombolysis on suture embolization-induced acute ischemic stroke rat model显示文摘The urokinase-type plasminogen activator(uPA)loaded hollow nanogels(nUK)were synthesized by a one-step reaction of glycol chitosan and aldehyde capped poly(ethylene oxide).The resultant formulation is sensitive to diagnostic ultrasound(US)of 2 MHz.Herein,we evaluated the in vivo sonothrombolysis performance of the nUK on acute ischemic stroke rat model which was established by suture embolization of middle cerebral artery(MCA).Via intravenous(i.v.)administration,the experimental data prove a controlled release of the therapeutic protein around the clots under ultrasound stimulation,leading to enhanced thrombolysis efficiency of the nUK,evidenced from smaller infarct volume and better clinical scores when compared to the i.v.dose of free uPA no matter with or without US intervention.Meanwhile,the preservation ability of the nanogels not only prolonged the circulation duration of the protein,but also resulted in the better blood-brain barrier protection of the nUK formulation,showing no increased risk on the hemorrhagic transformation than the controls.This work suggests that the nUK is a safe sonothrombolytic formulation for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.Yuming Teng Haiqiang Jin Ding Nan Mengnan Li Chenghe Fan Yuanyuan Liu Pu Lv Wei Cui Yongan Sun Hongjun Hao Xiaozhong Qu Zhenzhong Yang Yining Huang 2018Bioactive Materials2018,3,1:7
10Mycorrhizal symbiosis modulates the rhizosphere microbiota to promote rhizobia–legume symbiosis显示文摘Plants establish symbioses with mutualistic fungi,such as arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi,and bacteria,such as rhizobia,to exchange key nutrients and thrive.Plants and symbionts have coevolved and represent vital components of terrestrial ecosystems.Plants employ an ancestral AM signaling pathway to establish intracellular symbioses,including the legume–rhizobia symbiosis,in their roots.Nevertheless,the relationship between the AM and rhizobial symbioses in native soil is poorly understood.Here,we examined how these distinct symbioses affect root-associated bacterial communities in Medicago truncatula by performing quantitative microbiota profiling(QMP)of 16S rRNA genes.We found that M.truncatula mutants that cannot establish AM or rhizobia symbiosis have an altered microbial load(quantitative abundance)in the rhizosphere and roots,and in particular that AM symbiosis is required to assemble a normal quantitative root-associated microbiota in native soil.Moreover,quantitative microbial co-abundance network analyses revealed that AM symbiosis affects Rhizobiales hubs among plant microbiota and benefits the plant holobiont.Through QMP of rhizobial rpoB and AM fungal SSU rRNA genes,we revealed a new layer of interaction whereby AM symbiosis promotes rhizobia accumulation in the rhizosphere of M.truncatula.We further showed that AM symbiosis-conditioned microbial communities within the M.truncatula rhizosphere could promote nodulation in different legume plants in native soil.Given that the AM and rhizobial symbioses are critical for crop growth,our findings might inform strategies to improve agricultural management.Moreover,our work sheds light on the co-evolution of these intracellular symbioses during plant adaptation to native soil conditions.Xiaolin Wang Huan Feng Yayu Wang Mingxing Wang Xingguang Xie Huizhong Chang Like Wang Jicheng Qu Kai Sun Wei He Chunyan Wang Chuanchao Dai Zhaohui Chu Changfu Tian Nan Yu Xuebin Zhang Huan Liu Ertao Wang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,3:6

12Comparison of Histological, Microbiological, and Molecular Methods in Diagnosis of Patients with TBLN Having Different Anti-TB Treatment Background显示文摘Objective The influence of anti-tuberculosis(TB) treatment history on tuberculous lymphadenitis(TBLN) diagnosis is unclear. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the diagnostic methods, including histology, microbiology, and molecular tests, used for TBLN. Methods In this study, suspected patients with TBLN and having different anti-TB treatment background were enrolled. All the samples were tested simultaneously by histology, Ziehl-Neelsen(ZN) staining, mycobacterial culture(culture), Xpert MTB/RIF(xpert), real-time PCR, and high-resolution melting curve PCR(HRM). Thereafter, the performance of these methods on samples with different anti-TB treatment background was assessed. Results In our study, 89 patients were prospectively included 82 patients with TBLN and 7 with other diseases. The overall sensitivities of Xpert, real-time PCR, histology, ZN staining, and culture were 86.6%, 69.5%, 58.5%, 43.9%, and 22.0%, respectively. The anti-TB treatment history revealed dramatic influences on the sensitivity of culture(P < 0.0001). In fact, the treatment that lasted over 3 months also influenced the sensitivity of Xpert(P < 0.05). However, the treatment history did not affect the performance of remaining tests(P > 0.05). For rifampicin drug susceptibility test(DST), the anti-TB treatment showed only significant influence on the success rate of culture DST(P = 0.001), but not on those of Xpert and HRM tests(P > 0.05). 13Pulping performance of transgenic poplar with depressed Caffeoyl-CoA O-methyltransferase显示文摘This paper evaluated pulping performance of 3-year-old field-grown transgenic poplar (Populus tremula × Populus alba). The transgenic poplar with anti-sense CCoAOMT had an about 13% decreased lignin content, in which a slight increment was found in S/G ratio. Chemical analysis showed that the transgenic poplar had significantly less benezene-ethanol extractive than that of control wood, but no significant differences were found in contents of ash, cold water extractive, hot water extractive, 1% NaOH extractive, holocellulose, pentosans and cellulose. Fiber assay demonstrated that down-regulation of CCoAOMT expression improved the fiber quality in transgenic poplar. 14Experimental investigation of ghost imaging of reflective objects with different surface roughness显示文摘We present an experimental demonstration of ghost imaging of reflective objects with different surface roughness.The influence of the surface roughness, the transverse size of the test detector, and the reflective angle on the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) is analyzed by measuring the second-order correlation of the light field based on classical statistical optics. It is shown that the SNR decreases with an increment of the surface roughness and the detector's transverse size or a decrease of the reflective angle. 15Expression of S100B during the innate immune of corneal epithelium against fungi invasion显示文摘AIM: To explore the expression of S100 B in corneal epithelial cells under Aspergillus stimulation both in vivo and in vitro.·METHODS: Immortalized human corneal epithelial cells(HCECs) were exposed to inactive Aspergillus fumigatus(A. fumigatus) conidia at 0, 4, 8, 12, 16, and 24 h respectively. The corneas of Wistar rats were exposed to active A. fumigatus at 0, 12, 24, 48 h and the normal rat corneas were used for normal control. The m RNA level of S100 B was evaluated by real time quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR).S100 B protein expression in cornea epithelium was detected by immunohistochemical/immunocytochemical staining(IHC/ICC).· RESULTS: Histopathology revealed a significant inflammatory cell infiltration in fungal keratitis human and rat cornea. Corneal epithelial cells didn't express or rarely express S100 B at baseline. A. fumigatus significantly induced S100 B m RNA expression in cultured corneal epithelial cells in a time depended manner in vitro, the m RNA began to rise significantly at8 h in vitro(P <0.05) and continue to rise as time prolonged(P <0.01). In vivo, S100 B m RNA level was low in the normal corneas. However, it was increased in keratitis corneas from 12 h after infection(P <0.05) and reached to a peak at 24h(P <0.001). 16Fungus induces the release of IL- 8 in human corneal epithelial cells, via Dectin-1-mediated protein kinase C pathways显示文摘AIM: To identify whether Aspergillus fumigatus(A.fumigatus) hyphae antigens induced the release of interleukin-8(IL-8) in anti-fungal innate immunity of cultured human corneal epithelial cells(HCECs) and determine the involvement of intracellular signalling pathways. METHODS: HCECs were treated with A. fumigatus hyphae antigens with different concentrations and time.The cytoplasmic calcium of HCECs were assessed by fluorescence imaging. Western blot was used to detect the expression of Ca2 +-dependent protein kinase C(PKC). The IL-8 levels were determined by specific human IL-8 enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). Using a series of pharmacological inhibitors, we examined the upstream signalling pathway responsible for IL-8 expression in response to A.fumigatus hyphae antigens. RESULTS: Cells exposed to A. fumigatus hyphae antigens showed higher level of IL-8 m RNA expression and protein production. We demonstrated here that stimulation of HCECs with A. fumigatus hyphae triggers an intracellular Ca2 +flux and results in the activation of Ca2 +-dependent PKC(α, βⅠ and βⅡ) which can be attenuated by pre-treatment of cells with laminarin,suggesting that Dectin-1 signals pathway induced cytoplasmic calcium and influence the activation of PKC in HCECs. 17Uptake of oxidative stress-mediated extracellular vesicles by vascular endothelial cells under low magnitude shear stress显示文摘Extracellular vesicles(EVs)are increasingly used as delivery vehicles for drugs and bioactive molecules,which usually require intravascular administration.The endothelial cells covering the inner surface of blood vessels are susceptible to the shear stress of blood flow.Few studies demonstrate the interplay of red blood cell-derived EVs(RBCEVs)and endothelial cells.Thus,the phagocytosis of EVs by vascular endothelial cells during blood flow needs to be elucidated.In this study,red blood cell-derived extracellular vesicles(RBCEVs)were constructed to investigate endothelial cell phagocytosis in vitro and animal models.Results showed that low magnitude shear stress including low shear stress(LSS)and oscillatory shear stress(OSS)could promote the uptake of RBCEVs by endothelial cells in vitro.In addition,in zebrafish and mouse models,RBCEVs tend to be internalized by endothelial cells under LSS or OSS.Moreover,RBCEVs are easily engulfed by endothelial cells in atherosclerotic plaques exposed to LSS or OSS.In terms of mechanism,oxidative stress induced by LSS is part of the reason for the increased uptake of endothelial cells.Overall,this study shows that vascular endothelial cells can easily engulf EVs in areas of low magnitude shear stress,which will provide a theoretical basis for the development and utilization of EVs-based nano-drug delivery systems in vivo.Xian Qin Kun Zhang Juhui Qiu Nan Wang Kai Qu Yuliang Cui Junli Huang Li Luo Yuan Zhong Tian Tian Wei Wu Yi Wang Guixue Wang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,3:3

The era of genomics and big data has brought the need for collaboration and data sharing in order to make effective use of this new knowledge. Here, we describe the web resources for cancer genomics research and rate them on the basis of the diversity of cancer types, sample size, omics data comprehensiveness, and user experience. 20Expression analysis of gdcsP promoter from C_3-C_4 intermediate plant Flaveria anomala in transgenic rice显示文摘The gdcsP promoter isolated from C3-C4 intermediate plant Flaveria anomala was fused to the β-glu-curonidase (GUS) gene. The chimeric gene was inserted into the binary vector pBin19 and introduced into the rice (Oryza saliva L.) cv. 8706 by Agrobacterium-mediated gene transfer. GUS activity can be detected in leaf, leaf sheath, stem and root tissues via fluorometric GUS assay. However, no GUS activity was found in mature endosperm. Histochemical localization revealed that GUS expression was exclusively restricted to vascular tissues in transgenic plants. This promoter also showed spatial-temporal expression patterns that GUS expression declined significantly with the maturity of plants. These expression patterns make the gdcsP promoter extremely valuable in the applied biotechnology that needs target gene expression restricted to vascular tissues.CHEN Shuai, QU Nan, CAO Shouyun, Hermann Bauwe.
