1Oceanic plate subduction history in the western Pacific Ocean:Constraint from late Mesozoic evolution of the Tan-Lu Fault Zone显示文摘The NE-to NNE-striking Tan-Lu Fault Zone(TLFZ) is the largest fault zone in East China, and a typical representative for the circum-Pacific tectonics. Its late Mesozoic evolution resulted from subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate,and can be used for indication to the subduction history. The TLFZ reactivated at the end of Middle Jurassic since its origination in Middle Triassic. This phase of sinistral motion can only be recognized along the eastern edge of the Dabie-Sulu orogenis,and indicates initiation of the Paleo-Pacific(Izanagi) Plate subduction beneath the East China continent. After the Late Jurassic standstill, the fault zone experienced intense sinistral faulting again at the beginning of Early Cretaceous under N-S compression that resulted from the NNW-ward, low-angle, high-speed subduction of the Izanagi Plate. It turned into normal faulting in the rest of Early Cretaceous, which was simultaneous with the peak destruction of the North China Craton caused by backarc extension that resulted from rollback of the subducting Izanagi Plate. The TLFZ was subjected to sinistral, transpressive displacement again at the end of Early Cretaceous. This shortening event led to termination of the North China Craton destruction. The fault zone suffered local normal faulting in Late Cretaceous due to the far-field, weak backarc extension. The late Mesozoic evolution of the TLFZ show repeated alternation between the transpressive strike-slip motion and normal faulting. 3Nutritional and medicinal characteristics of Chinese giant salamander (Andrias davidianus) for applications in healthcare industry by artificial cultivation: A review显示文摘Andrias davidianus,i.e.Chinese giant salamander(CGS),is one of the largest and oldest amphibians existing in the world and is also one of the valuable biological resources of China.Wild CGS has been threatened with extinction in the past decades due to over capturing,deterioration of natural environment,the slow breeding and growth of the wild species in nature.However,in the past twenty years,with the breakthrough and progress of artificial breeding technology by artificial insemination,the number of artificially cultivated CGS has increased rapidly.Artificially cultivated CGS can either be released to the CGS living environment to increase the population in nature or legally applied in food and medicinal industry as a feedstock due to the unique nutritional and medicinal values of CGS as recorded historically.In this review,the nutritional components,bioactive components and medicinal activities of the artificially cultivated CGS will be summarized.The mucus,skin,meat and bone of CGS contain many different bioactive substances thereby having various medicinal activities including anti-aging,anti-fatigue,anti-tumor,therapy of burn and anti-infection and other physiological functions.This paper will further discuss the potential applications of the artificially cultivated CGS in healthcare industry and prospects of future technological development.Dong He Wenming Zhu Wen Zenga Jun Lin Yang Ji Yi Wang Chong Zhang Yuan Lu Daoquan Zhao Nan Su Xin-Hui Xing 2018Food Science and Human Wellness2018,7,1:28
4Chemical characteristics and source apportionment of PM_(2.5) between heavily polluted days and other days in Zhengzhou, China显示文摘PM_(2.5) samples were collected in Zhengzhou during 3 years of observation, and chemical characteristics and source contribution were analyzed. Approximately 96% of the daily PM_(2.5) concentrations and annual average values exceeded the Chinese National Ambient Air Quality Daily and Annual Standards, indicating serious PM_(2.5) pollution. The average concentration of water-soluble inorganic ions was 2.4 times higher in heavily polluted days(daily PM32.5 concentrations > 250 μg/mand visibility < 3 km) than that in other days, with sulfate, nitrate, and ammonium as major ions. According to the ratio of NO-3/SO2-4,stationary sources are still the dominant source of PM_(2.5) and vehicle emission could not be ignored. The ratio of secondary organic carbon to organic carbon indicated that photochemical reactivity in heavily polluted days was more intense than in other days.Crustal elements were the most abundant elements, accounting for more than 60% of 23 elements. Chemical Mass Balance results indicated that the contributions of major sources(i.e., nitrate, sulfate, biomass, carbon and refractory material, coal combustion, soil dust,vehicle, and industry) of PM_(2.5) were 13%, 16%, 12%, 2%, 14%, 8%, 7%, and 8% in heavily polluted days and 20%, 18%, 9%, 2%, 27%, 14%, 15%, and 9% in other days, respectively.Extensive combustion activities were the main sources of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons during the episode(Jan 1-9, 2015) and the total benzo[a]pyrene equivalency concentrations in heavily polluted days present significant health threat. 5Changed clinical aspects of primary liver cancer in China during the past 30 years显示文摘BACKGROUND: Primary liver cancer (PLC) is one of the most frequently seen tumors in China. Thirty years ago, patients with PLC were often detected at relatively late stage, with a palpable mass or marked clinical symptoms and poor prognosis. In the past 30 years, the diagnosis and treatment of PLC have been greatly improved with better prognosis. METHODS: In order to study the changes of PLC during the 30 years, the clinical data of 3250 patients with PLC from 10 medical institutions of China were collected, ana- lyzed , and compared with those of 3254 PLC patients be- fore the 30 years. RESULTS: In the 3250 patients aged 1-80 years, with an average age of 49.1 years, the male to female ratio (2.3:1) was lower than that before the 30 years. 73.5% of the 3250 patients sought medical advice within 3 months after the onset of the disease in contrast to 63.8% before the 30 years. Compared with those patients before the 30 years the symptoms and signs were alleviated generally. The HBsAg positive rate was 81.0%, but the HCV-Ab positive rate was 13.2%. The AFP level in 75% of patients was elevated, but in the remaining 25% was normal. 1912 patients (58.8%) were confirmed pathologically. Among them 1755 patients (91.8%) had hepatocellular carcinoma. The overall resec- tion rate was 46.3%. Those who had early, middle, late stage carcinoma accounted for 29.9%, 51.5%, and 18.6%respectively in contrast to 0.4%, 47.0%, and 52.6% repor- ted before the 30 years. The 1-, 3-, 5-year survival rates of the patients were 66.1%, 39.7%, and 32.5% respectively, whereas 93.5%, 70.1%, and 59.1% for the early stage pa- tients, and 65.3%, 30.5%, and 23.5% for the middle stage patients. The half and 1-year survival rates of the late stage patients were 52.5%, and 14.7%, respectively. CONCLUSION: Comparison with the clinical data before and after the 30 years show that PLC can be diagnosed ear- ly. 6Land Use Change and Anthropogenic Driving Forces:A Case Study in Yanhe River Basin显示文摘Human activities alter land use patterns and affect landscape sustainability. It is therefore very important to investigate the relationship between land use change and human activities. This study focuses on the detection of changing land use patterns in the Yanhe River Basin in northern Loess Plateau of China between 1995 and 2008. Landscape metrics were used to analyze the changing land use patterns and to explore the related anthropogenic driving forces. Results show that:1) Totally, 186 590 ha of croplands were converted into alternate land-use types (equivalent to 61.7% of the original cropland area). The majority of cropland areas were found to be converted into grassland and woodland areas (accounting for 55.9% and 4.9% respectively of the original cropland areas). 2) Both cropland and woodland demonstrated an increasing fragmentation tendency while grasslands showed a decreasing fragmentation tendency. 3) Multiple driving forces of land use change were thought to act together to changes in landscape metrics in the Yanhe River Basin. The anthropogenic driving forces were analyzed from four perspectives:ecological conservation policy, labor force transfer, industrial development, and rural settlement. The policy of the GfG (Grain for Green) project was the main driving factor which expedited the conversion from cropland to woodland and grassland. Industrial development was also found to affect land use change through the direct impact of economic activities such as oil exploration and agricultural production, or through indirect impacts such as the industrial structures readjustment. Labor force transfer from rural to urban areas was found to follow the industrial structure readjustment and further drove land use change from cropland to off-farm land use. 8D2 dissection in laparoscopic and open gastrectomy for gastric cancer显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the radicalness and safety of laparoscopic D2 dissection for gastric cancer. METHODS: Clinicopathological data from 209 patients with gastric cancer, who underwent radical gastrectomy with D2 dissection between January 2007 and February 2011, were analyzed retrospectively. Among these patients, 131 patients underwent laparoscopyassisted gastrectomy (LAG) and 78 underwent open gastrectomy (OG). The parameters analyzed included operative time, blood loss, blood transfusion, morbidity, mortality, the number of harvested lymph nodes (HLNs), and pathological stage.RESULTS: There were no significant differences in sex, age, types of radical resection [radical proximal gastrectomy (PG + D2), radical distal gastrectomy (DG + D2) and radical total gastrectomy (TG + D2)], and stages between the LAG and OG groups (P > 0.05). Among the two groups, 127 cases (96.9%) and 76 cases (97.4%) had 15 or more HLNs, respectively. The average number of HLNs was 26.1 ± 11.4 in the LAG group and 24.2 ± 9.3 in the OG group (P = 0.233). In the same type of radical resection, there were no signifi cant differences in the number of HLNs between the two groups (PG + D2: 21.7 ± 7.5 vs 22.4 ± 9.3; DG + D2: 25.7 ± 11.0 vs 22.3 ± 7.9; TG + D2: 30.9 ± 13.4 vs 29.3 ± 10.4; P > 0.05 for all comparisons). Tumor free margins were obtained in all cases. Compared with OG group, the LAG group had signifi cantly less blood loss, but a longer operation time (P < 0.001). The morbidity of the LAG group was 9.9%, which was not signifi cantly different from the OG group (7.7%) (P = 0.587). The mortality was zero in both groups. CONCLUSION: Laparoscopic D2 dissection is equivalent to OG in the number of HLNs, regardless of tumor location. 10Collagen-binding basic fibroblast growth factor improves functional remodeling of scarred endometrium in uterine infertile women: a pilot study显示文摘Intrauterine adhesion(IUA) is a common cause of uterine infertility and one of the most severe clinical features is endometrial fibrosis namely endometrial scarring for which there are few cures currently. Blocked angiogenesis is the main pathological change in the scarred endometrium. The fibroblast growth factor 2(b FGF), a member of FGF family, is usually applied to promote healing of refractory ulcer and contributes to angiogenesis of tissues. In this study, the sustained-release system of b FGF100 μg was administrated around scarred endometrium guiding by ultrasound every 4 weeks in 18 patients(2–4 times). Results showed that after treatment, the menstrual blood volume, endometrial thickness and the scarred endometrial area were improved.Histological study showed blood vessel density increased obviously. Three patients(3/18) achieved pregnancy over 20 gestational weeks. 12Role of FGF/FGFR signaling in skeletal development and homeostasis: learning from mouse models显示文摘Fibroblast growth factor(FGF)/fibroblast growth factor receptor(FGFR) signaling plays essential roles in bone development and diseases. Missense mutations in FGFs and FGFRs in humans can cause various congenital bone diseases, including chondrodysplasia syndromes, craniosynostosis syndromes and syndromes with dysregulated phosphate metabolism. FGF/FGFR signaling is also an important pathway involved in the maintenance of adult bone homeostasis. Multiple kinds of mouse models, mimicking human skeleton diseases caused by missense mutations in FGFs and FGFRs, have been established by knock-in/out and transgenic technologies. These genetically modified mice provide good models for studying the role of FGF/FGFR signaling in skeleton development and homeostasis. In this review, we summarize the mouse models of FGF signaling-related skeleton diseases and recent progresses regarding the molecular mechanisms, underlying the role of FGFs/FGFRs in the regulation of bone development and homeostasis. 13Auxin regulates anthocyanin biosynthesis through the Aux/IAA–ARF signaling pathway in apple显示文摘Auxin signaling,which is crucial for normal plant growth and development,mainly depends on ARF–Aux/IAA interactions.However,little is known regarding the regulatory effects of auxin signaling on anthocyanin metabolism in apple(Malus domestica).We investigated the functions of MdARF13,which contains a repression domain and is localized to the nucleus.This protein was observed to interact with the Aux/IAA repressor,MdIAA121,through its C-terminal dimerization domain.Protein degradation experiments proved that MdIAA121 is an unstable protein that is degraded by the 26S proteasome.Additionally,MdIAA121 stability is affected by the application of exogenous auxin.Furthermore,the overexpression of MdIAA121 and MdARF13 in transgenic red-fleshed apple calli weakened the inhibitory effect of MdARF13 on anthocyanin biosynthesis.These results indicate that the degradation of MdIAA121 induced by auxin treatment can release MdARF13,which acts as a negative regulator of the anthocyanin metabolic pathway.Additionally,yeast two-hybrid,bimolecular fluorescence complementation,and pull-down assays confirmed that MdMYB10 interacts with MdARF13.A subsequent electrophoretic mobility shift assay and yeast one-hybrid assay demonstrated that MdARF13 directly binds to the promoter of MdDFR,which is an anthocyanin pathway structural gene.Interestingly,chromatin immunoprecipitation–quantitative real-time PCR results indicated that the overexpression of MdIAA121 clearly inhibits the recruitment of MdARF13 to the MdDFR promoter.Our findings further characterized the mechanism underlying the regulation of anthocyanin biosynthesis via Aux/IAA–ARF signaling.Yi-cheng Wang Nan Wang Hai-feng Xu Sheng-hui Jiang Hong-cheng Fang Meng-yu Su Zong-ying Zhang Tian-liang Zhang Xue-sen Chen 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:13

17Impact of CYP3A4*1G Polymorphism on Fentanyl Analgesia Assessed by Analgesia Nociception Index in Chinese Patients Undergoing Hysteroscopy显示文摘Background:The clinical efficacy of fentanyl for pain control differs greatly across individuals.The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of CYP3A4*1G polymorphism including wild-type homozygote (CYP3A4*1/*1,GG),mutant heterozygote (CYP3A4*1/*1G,GA),and mutant homozygote (CYP3A4*1G/*1G,AA)on fentanyl analgesia in Chinese patients undergoing hysteroscopy by the assessment of analgesia nociception index (ANI). Methods:A total of 200 gynecologic patients scheduled for elective hysteroscopy under general anesthesia at Peking University People's Hospital from May to December in 2017 were enrolled in this study.Venous blood was withdrawn for genotyping of CYP3A4*1G before operation.Fentanyl 1μg/kg was administered preoperatively followed by target-controlled infusion of propofol for induction and maintenance.Intraoperative analgesic efficacy of fentanyl was assessed by ANI monitoring at T0(entering room),T1(cervical dilation), T2(start of cervical aspiration),and T3(end of cervical aspiration)time points.The duration of propofol infusion and total dosage of propofol were recorded as well. Results:The patients were divided into three groups according to CYP3A4*1G polymorphism,including 143 in GG group,47in GA group, and 10 in AA group.There was no significant difference in clinical demographics among three groups.The frequency of CYP3A4*1G variant alleles accounted for 16.8%and the distribution of variant alleles was consistent with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.Using a multilevel model,ANI values at T1(63.81±19.61),T2(63.63±17.82),and T3(65.68±17.79)were significantly lower than that at T0 (77.16±12.93)in the study population (F =23.50,P <0.001),suggesting that higher levels of pain at T 1,T2,and T3 than T0.Patients with GG genotype showed significantly lower ANI than those with GA or AA genotypes during hysteroscopy under the same dose of fentanyl. 18APPLICATION OF GENETIC DEAFNESS GENE CHIP FOR DETECTION OF GENE MUTATION OF DEAFNESS IN PREGNANT WOMEN显示文摘Objective The study is to identify the carrier rate of common deafness mutation in Chinese pregnant women via detecting deafness gene mutations with gene chip.Methods The pregnant women in obstetric clinic without hearing impairment and hearing disorders family history were selected.The informed consent was signed.Peripheral blood was taken to extract genomic DNA.Application of genetic deafness gene chip for detecting 9 mutational hot spot of the most common 4 Chinese deafness genes,namely GJB2(35delG,176del16bp,235delC,299delAT),GJB3(C538T),SLC26A4(IVS72A>G,A2168G)and mitochondrial DNA 12S rRNA(A1555G,C1494T).Further genetic testing were provided to the spouses and newborns of the screened carriers.Results Peripheral blood of 430 pregnant women were detected,detection of deafness gene mutation carriers in 24 cases(4.2%),including 13 cases of the GJB2 heterozygous mutation,3 cases of SLC26A4 heterozygous mutation,1cases of GJB3 heterozygous mutation,and 1 case of mitochondrial 12S rRNA mutation.18 spouses and 17 newborns took further genetic tests,and 6 newborns inherited the mutation from their mother.Conclusion The common deafness genes mutation has a high carrier rate in pregnant women group,235delC and IVS7-2A>G heterozygous mutations are common.CHANG Liang ZHONG Su ZHAO Nan LIU Ping ZHAO Yangyu QIAO Jie 2014Journal of Otology2014,9,2:8
19Analysis of RDSS positioning accuracy based on RNSS wide area differential technique显示文摘The BeiDou Navigation Satellite System(BDS) provides Radio Navigation Service System(RNSS) as well as Radio Determination Service System(RDSS).RDSS users can obtain positioning by responding the Master Control Center(MCC) inquiries to signal transmitted via GEO satellite transponder.The positioning result can be calculated with elevation constraint by MCC.The primary error sources affecting the RDSS positioning accuracy are the RDSS signal transceiver delay,atmospheric trans-mission delay and GEO satellite position error.During GEO orbit maneuver,poor orbit forecast accuracy significantly impacts RDSS services.A real-time 3-D orbital correction method based on wide-area differential technique is raised to correct the orbital error.Results from the observation shows that the method can successfully improve positioning precision during orbital maneuver,independent from the RDSS reference station.This improvement can reach 50% in maximum.Accurate calibration of the RDSS signal transceiver delay precision and digital elevation map may have a critical role in high precise RDSS positioning services.XING Nan SU RanRan ZHOU JianHua HU XiaoGong GONG XiuQiang LIU Li HE Feng GUO Rui REN Hui HU GuangMing ZHANG Lei 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,10:6
