| 1 | Hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy using mFOLFOX versus transarterial chemoembolization for massive unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma:a prospective non.randomized study显示文摘Background: Transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) is recommended as the standard care for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) at Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC) stage A-B. However, the efficacy of TACE on large(> 10 cm) stage A-B HCC is far from satisfactory, and it is proposed that hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy(HAIC)might be a better first-line treatment of this disease. Hence, we compared the safety and efficacy of HAIC with the modified FOLFOX(mFOLFOX) regimen and those ofTACE in patients with massive unresectable HCC.Methods: A prospective, non-randomized, phase II study was conducted on patients with massive unresectable HCC. The protocol involved HAIC with the mFOLFOX regimen(oxaliplatin, 85 mg/m^2 intra-arterial infusion; leucovorin,400 mg/m^2 intra-arterial infusion; and fluorouracil, 400 mg/m2 bolus infusion and 2400 mg/m^2 continuous infusion)every 3 weeks and TACE with 50 mg of epirubicin, 50 mg of lobaplatin, 6 mg of mitomycin, and lipiodol and polyvinyl alcohol particles. The tumor responses, time-to-progression(TTP), and safety were assessed.Results: A total of 79 patients were recruited for this study: 38 in the HAIC group and 41 in the TACE group. The HAIC group exhibited higher partial response and disease control rates than did the TACE group(52.6% vs. 9.8%, P < 0.001;83.8% vs. 52.5%, P = 0.004). The median TTPs for the HAIC and TACE groups were 5.87 and 3.6 months(hazard radio[HR] = 2.35,95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.16-4.76, P = 0.015). More patients in the HAIC group than in the TACE group underwent resection(10 vs. 3,P = 0.033). The proportions of grade 3-4 adverse events(AE) and serious adverse events(SAE) were lower in the HAIC group than in the TACE group(grade 3-4 AEs: 13 vs. 27, P = 0.007;SAEs: 6 vs. 15,p = 0.044). More patients in the TACE group than in the HAIC group had the study treatment terminated early due to intolerable treatment-related adverse events or the withdrawal of consent(10 vs. 2,P = 0.026).Conclusions: HAIC with mFOLFOX yielded significantly better treatment responses and less serious toxicity than did TACE. | 4 | Toxicity of the brominated flame retardant tris-(2,3-dibromopropyl) isocyanurate in zebrafish (Danio rerio)显示文摘Tris-(2,3-dibromopropyl) isocyanurate (TBC) is a heterocyclic brominated flame retardant that was recently detected in the environment in China.TBC is semi-volatile and can accumulate in the lipid of some species,but little is known about its effect on aquatic organisms.We exposed adult zebrafish to 0,0.25,1 and 4mg/L TBC for 28 d and measured the effect on survival,growth,histopathology,hormone levels,enzyme activity,and gene expression.TBC exposure had no effect on survival or growth.We observed significant damage to the liver and gill,including hepatocellular swelling and fatty degeneration in the liver as well as proliferation and edema of epithelial cells in the gills.In addition,exposure to 4mg/L TBC induced proliferation of goblet cells in the intestine of both sexes,acellular areas in the testis,and thinly scattered vitellogenic granules in vitellogenic oocytes.TBC exposure had no effect on the levels of thyroid hormones,testosterone,estradiol,liver superoxide dismutase activity,malondialdehyde content,and brain cholinesterase activity.By contrast,hepatic vitellogenin and cytochrome P4501A gene expression was significantly down-regulated in both male and female zebrafish in response to TBC exposure.Our results suggest that exposure to TBC causes a variety of potential reproductive and endocrine toxic effects. | ZHANG Xu LI Juan CHEN MinJie WU Le ZHANG Chi ZHANG Jie ZHOU QunFang LIANG Yong | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011，56，15： | 13 |

| 7 | A mumps model with seasonality in China显示文摘Background:Mumps,an infectious viral disease,classically manifested by inflammation of salivary glands and is best known as a common childhood viral disease with no specific treatment.Although it can be protected by vaccine,there are more than 100,000 reported mumps cases according to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.However,the factors and mechanisms behind the persistence and prevalence of mumps have not been well understood.Methods:A mumps model with seasonal fluctuation is formulated and investigated.We evaluate the basic reproduction numberℛ0 and analyze the dynamical behavior of the model.We also use the model to simulate the monthly data of mumps cases and carry out some sensitivity analysis ofℛ0 in terms of various model parameters.Results:It is shown that there exists only disease-free solution which is globally asymptotically stable ifℛ0<1,and there exists a positive periodic solution ifℛ0>1.ℛ0 is a threshold parameter,and its magnitude determines the extinction or persistence of the disease.Conclusion:Our analysis shows that vaccination rate and invalid vaccination rate play important roles in the spread of mumps.Hence,Our study suggests to increase the vaccine coverage and make two doses of MMR(Measles,mumps and rubella vaccine)vaccine freely available in China. | Qianqian Qu Cong Fang Le Zhang Wanru Jia Jie Weng Yong Li | 2017 | Infectious Disease Modelling2017，2，1： | 2 |

| 15 | Fast-chargingand dendrite-free lithiummetal anodeeenabledby partial lithiation ofgraphene aerogel显示文摘The development of deeply cyclable lithium metal batteries with fast-charging capability offers a promising solution to relieve the“range anxiety”in driving electric vehicles.Conventional lithium metal anodes suffered from low operating current densities and shallow charge/discharge depths,owing to the intrinsic dendrite growth governed by Sand’s law.Herein,we come up with a novel design of heavy-duty lithium metal anode fabricated by partially infusing the three-dimensional(3D)porous graphene aerogel with molten Li.Both electroanalytical measurements and simulations show that the unique electrode architecture brings notable advantages in mediating smooth Li plating/stripping,including reduced local current density,inhibited dendrite growth,buffered volume fluctuation,as well as more efficient Li utilization.Consequently,a remarkable cycling performance in symmetric cells for over 400 cycles(800 h)with an ultrahigh cycling capacity of 15 mAh·cm^(−2) at 15 mA·cm^(−2) is achieved,which,to our best knowledge,has been never seen in literature.LiFePO4 full cells demonstrate a superb rate capability up to 10 C and a prolonged cycling of 1,600 cycles at 2 C with the per-cycle capacity decay of only 0.023%.This study paves the way for the ultimate deployment of lithium metal batteries in real-world applications that require fast charging and deep cycling. | Yong Ma Yuting Gu Ying He Le Wei Yuebin Lian Weiyi Pan Xinjian Li Yanhui Su Yang Peng Zhao Deng Zhongfan Liu | 2022 | Nano Research2022，15，11： | 1 |
| 16 | Distribution of Avian Influenza A Viruses in Poultry-Related Environment and Its Association with Human Infection in Henan, 2016 to 2017显示文摘Objective To survey avian influenza A viruses(AIVs) in the environment and explore the reasons for the surge in human H7 N9 cases.Methods A total of 1,045 samples were collected from routine surveillance on poultry-related environments and 307 samples from human H7 N9 cases-exposed environments in Henan from 2016 to2017. The nucleic acids of influenza A(Flu A), H5, H7, and H9 subtypes were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction.Results A total of 27 H7 N9 cases were confirmed in Henan from 2016 to 2017, 24 had a history of live poultry exposure, and 15 had H7 N9 virus detected in the related live poultry markets(LPMs). About 96%(264/275) Flu A positive-environmental samples were from LPMs. H9 was the main AIV subtype(10.05%) from routine surveillance sites with only 1 H7-positive sample, whereas 21.17% samples were H7-positive in H7 N9 cases-exposed environments. Samples from H7 N9 cases-exposed LPMs(47.56%)had much higher AIVs positive rates than those from routine surveillance sites(12.34%). The H7+H9 combination of mixed infection was 78.18%(43/55) of H7-positive samples and 41.34%(43/104) of H9-positive samples.Conclusion The contamination status of AIVs in poultry-related environments is closely associated with the incidence of human infection caused by AIVs.
