| 1 | Relationship between Cognition Function and Hippocampus Structure after Long-term Microwave Exposure显示文摘Objective To analyze the effects of long-term microwave exposure on hippocampal structure and function in the rat.Methods Experiments were performed on 184 male Wistar rats(three exposure groups and a sham group).Microwaves were applied daily for 6 min over 1 month at average power densities of 2.5,5,and 10 mW/cm2.Learning and memory abilities were assessed by Morris water maze.High performance liquid chromatography was used to detect neurotransmitter concentrations in the hippocampus.Hippocampal structures were observed by histopathological analysis.Results Following long-term microwave exposure there was a significant decrease in learning and memory activity in the 7 d,14 d,and 1 m in all three microwave exposure groups.Neurotransmitter concentrations of four amino acids(glutamate,aspartic acid,glycine,and gamma-aminobutyric acid) in hippocampus were increased in the 2.5 and 5 mW/cm2 groups and decreased in the 10 mW/cm2 group.There was evidence of neuronal degeneration and enlarged perivascular spaces in the hippocampus in the microwave exposure groups.Further,mitochondria became swollen and cristae were disordered.The rough endoplasmic reticulum exhibited sacculated distension and there was a decrease in the quantity of synaptic vesicles.Conclusion These data suggest that the hippocampus can be injured by long-term microwave exposure,which might result in impairment of cognitive function due to neurotransmitter disruption. | ZHAO Li PENG Rui Yun WANG Shui Ming WANG Li Feng GAO Ya Bing DONG Ji LI Xiang SU Zhen Tao | 2012 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,2: | 27 |

Then, the theoretical solution is extended to the case of some drain holes in one finite element, and the method is used in seepage control analysis with quick convergence and high accuracy. On the other hand, if the positions of the drain holes are changed, only some control factors of drain holes are changed, but the finite element grid need not to be reformed. | 4 | Comparison of Undernutrition Prevalence of Children under 5 Years in China between 2002 and 2013显示文摘Objective To describe the undernutrition status of children under 5-year in China, and study the trend between 2002 and 2013. Methods The study was based on two national surveys. Undernutrition was determined against WHO's 2006 growth standards. The prevalence in 2013 and 2002 was weighted by China sixth National Population Census(2010). The relationship between undernutrition and gender/age groups/different areas use weighted logistic regression. Results The results indicated the overall prevalence of stunting, underweight, and wasting of Chinese children under 5-year was 8.1%, 2.4%, and 1.9% in 2013, respectively. The prevalence of stunting was higher for children aged 12-47 month, while underweight was higher for children aged 48-59 month. The prevalence of undernutrition was higher in rural areas than in urban areas, especially in poor rural areas. There was a decline of stunting, underweight, and wasting between 2002 and 2013 among the children, with greater reduction in rural areas than in urban areas. Conclusion The prevalence of undernutrition of children under 5-year remains high in rural areas especially in poor rural areas in China. | 7 | Palaeogeomorphology and its control on the development of sequence stratigraphy and depositional systems of the Early Silurian in the Tarim Basin显示文摘The Silurian in the Tarim Basin was deposited on the basement deformed by the Caledonian tectonic movements at the end of the Late Ordovician. The development and distribution of sedimentary sequences of the Early Silurian have been clearly controlled by the palaeogeomorphology of the Late Ordovician. Based on unconformity characteristics and distribution of erosion, several zones can be differentiated including a high uplifted erosion zone, a transitional slope zone and a depression zone. The central and west Tabei Uplift zones show high angular unconformity and intense erosion. The Tarim Basin in the late Ordovician shows characteristics of higher in the west, lower in the east while higher in the south, lower in the north. The Early Silurian mainly developed transgressive and highstand systems tracts on the whole, while the lowstand systems tract only developed partly below the slope break. The palaeogeomorphology controlled the clastic source supply and deposit distribution. Braided delta system and tidal flat–estuary system were deposited. The duration of uplifting of the Tazhong paleouplift was longer than that of the Tabei paleo-uplift, and deposition was later. This led to the lower and middle members of the Kepingtage Formation missing in that area. As a large-scale transgression occurred during the deposition period of the upper member of the Kepingtage Formation, sediment from the west of the basin was transported and deposited by tides and waves, forming tidal–marine debris systems above the uplift. Proximal alluvial fan and fan delta coarse clastic deposits developed in proximal uplift zone in the east and southeast of the basin, and braided delta put forward to the transitional zone between the edge of uplift and the sea. Large-scale tidal channel, sub-distributary channel and mouth bar of the delta front can form favorable reservoirs, and they are primary targets for oil and gas exploration. | 8 | Prevalence and characteristics of MAFLD in Chinese adults aged 40 years or older:A community-based study显示文摘Background: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) was recently proposed to be renamed metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD) with the diagnostic criteria revised. We investigated the similarities and differences in the prevalence and clinical characteristics of MAFLD and NAFLD in Chinese adults. Methods: A cross-sectional study of 9980 Chinese individuals aged 40 years or older was performed between 2011 and 2012 using randomized, stratifed cluster sampling in Shanghai, China. A detailed questionnaire and the results of abdominal ultrasonography, a standardized 2-h 75-g oral glucose tolerance test and blood biochemical examinations were collected. Results: A total of 9927 subjects were included in this study. The prevalence of MAFLD(40.3%) was significantly higher than that of NAFLD(36.9%)( P < 0.05). MAFLD was highly prevalent in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)(53.8%), impaired fasting glucose(35.7%) and impaired glucose tolerance(40.9%). High risk of advanced fbrosis based on fbrosis-4 was highly prevalent(14.7%) in lean MAFLD with T2DM. Among 9927 subjects, 3481(35.1%) fulflled the diagnostic criteria for MAFLD and NAFLD(MAFLD + NAFLD +), 521(5.2%) MAFLD + NAFLD-, and 181(1.8%) MAFLD-NAFLD +. The MAFLD + NAFLD-group had more signifcant metabolic disorders than those in the MAFLD + NAFLD + group(all P < 0.05). Among MAFLD-NAFLD + subjects, 82.9% had metabolic disorders. Conclusions: The new defnition of MAFLD may better reflect the pathogenesis related to metabolism. | 10 | Outcomes of the national programme on prevention of mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B virus in China,2016-2017显示文摘Background:In addition to providing free hepatitis B vaccine(HBvacc)series to all infants in China since 2005,the national programme on prevention of mother-to-child transmission(PMTCT)of hepatitis B virus(HBV)started providing free hepatitis B immunoglobulin for all new-borns born to hepatitis B surface-antigen(HBsAg)positive mothers in 2010.However,few studies have evaluated the effectiveness of the PMTCT programme.Therefore,we aimed to investigate the outcomes of the programme and identify associated factors.Method:Using a cross-sectional study design,we collected data on 4112 pairs of HBsAg-positive mothers and their children aged 7-22 months in four representative provinces through interviews and medical record review.We tested HBsAg and hepatitis B surface antibody(anti-HBs)of children by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay at designated maternal and child hospital laboratories.We used logistic regression to analyse factors associated with child HBsAg and anti-HBs positivity.Results:Thirty-five children were HBsAg positive,indicating the mother-to-child transmission(MTCT)rate was 0.9%(0.6-1.1%).The anti-HBs positive rate was 96.8%(96.3-97.4%).Children receiving HBvacc between 12 and 24h of birth were 2.9 times more likely to be infected than those vaccinated in less than 12 h(adjusted odds ratio[aOR]=2.9,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.4-63,P=0.01).Maternal hepatitis B e-antigen(HBeAg)positivity was associated with higher MTCT rate(aOR=79.1,95%Cl:10.8-580.2,P<0.001)and lower anti-HBs positive rate(aOR=0.4,95%CI:03-0.6,P<0.001).Children with low birth weight(LBW)were 60%less likely to be anti-HBs positive than those with normal birth weight(aOR=0A,95%CI:02-0.8,P=0.01).Conclusions:The MTCT rate was lower than the 2030 WHO elimination goal,which implies the programme is on track to achieve this target.As earlier HBvacc birth dose(HBvcc-BD)was associated with lower MTCT rate,we suggest that the PMTCT programme work with the Expanded Programme on Immunization(EPI)to modify the current recommendation for early HBvcc-BD to a requirement Our finding that LBW was associated with lower anti-HBs positivity points to the need for further studies to understand factors associated with these risks and opportunities for program strengthening.The programme needs to ensure providing essential test to identify HBeAg-positive mothers and their infants and provide them with appropriate medical care and follow-up. | Ya-Ping Qiao Min Su Yao Song Xiao-Yan Wang Zhen Li Yan-Lin Li Li-Xia Dou Qian Wang Katrina Hann Guo-Min Zhang Xiao-Na Huang Yu-Ning Yang Xi Jin Ai-Ling Wang | 2019 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2019,8,4: | 10 |

| 12 | Optimization of the Assembly Efficiency for Lidamycin Chromophore Bound to its Apoprotein:A Case Study using Orthogonal Array显示文摘Objective Lidamycin (LDM) can be dissociated to an apoprotein (LDP) and an active enediyne chromophore (AE).The detached AE can reassemble with its LDP‐containing fusion protein to endow the latter with potent antitumor activity.However,the reassembly of AE with LDP is affected by several factors.Our aim was to optimize the assembly efficiency of the AE with a LDP‐containing fusion protein and investigate the influence of several factors on the assembly efficacy.Methods A method based on RP‐HPLC was developed to analyze the assembly rate,and an orthogonal experimental design L9 (3 4 ) was used to investigate the effects of temperature,assembly time,pH and molecular ratio of LDP‐containing fusion protein to AE on the assembly rate.Furthermore,the determined optimum conditions for the assembly rate of the LDP‐containing fusion protein with AE were applied and evaluated.Results A calibration curve based on the LDM micromolar concentration against the peak‐area of AE by HPLC was obtained.The order in which individual factors in the orthogonal experiment affected the assembly rate were temperature>time>pH>molar ratio of AE to protein and all were statistically significant (P<0.01).The optimal assembly conditions were temperature at 10°C,time of 12 h,pH 7.0,and the molar ratio of AE: protein of 5:1.The assembly rate of AE with a LDP‐containing fusion protein was improved by 23% after condition optimization.Conclusion The assembly rate of chromophore of lidamycin with its LDP‐containing fusion protein was improved after condition optimization by orthogonal design,and the optimal conditions described herein should prove useful for the development of this type of LDP‐containing fusion protein. | ZHONG Gen Shen GUO Xiao Fang ZHANG Sheng Hua ZHEN Yong Su | 2011 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,6: | 9 |

| 14 | Variation at the transcriptional level among Chinese natural populations of Arabidopsis thaliana in response to cold stress显示文摘The Arabidopsis 25K GeneChip (ATH1, Affymetrix) was used to make a survey of the variation of the transcriptional profiles among 5 Chinese natural populations of Arabidopsis thaliana under cold treatment. In normal growth condition, the expression level of 2.26% (513 genes in the population from Jiujiang, Jiangxi, JXjjx) to 6.52% (1482 genes in the population from Tongliang, Chongqing, CQtlx) genes was 2-fold higher than that of Col ecotype. Under cold treatment, the expression of 12.84% (2920 genes in the population from Chenggu, Shaanxi, SXcgx) to 19.46% (4426 genes in the population from Qinghe, Xinjiang, XJqhx) genes was up- or down-regulated by at least two-fold that of their controls. In general, most of up-regulated genes might be the genes essential for plant surviving at low temperature, such as genes in CBF pathway and the genes responsible for synthesizing molecules accumulated for cold tolerance. However, each natural population had some specific genes induced under cold treatment. The data indicated that some of the cold-responding genes were differentiated among the populations distributed in the natural habitats with different climate conditions. CBF3, one of the key tran-scription factor genes in cold responding pathway, showed significant differences in expression among populations. The sequence analysis indicated that the changes in its regulation region caused the dramatic difference in the expression pattern. | 16 | Geometrical feature analysis and disaster assessment of the Xinmo landslide based on remote sensing data显示文摘At 5:39 am on June 24, 2017, a landslide occurred in the village of Xinmo in Maoxian County, Aba Tibet and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture(Sichuan Province, Southwest China). On June 25, aerial images were acquired from an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV), and a digital elevation model(DEM) was processed. Landslide geometrical features were then analyzed. These are the front and rear edge elevation, accumulation area and horizontal sliding distance. Then, the volume and the spatial distribution of the thickness of the deposit were calculated from the difference between the DEM available before the landslide, and the UAV-derived DEM collected after the landslide. Also, the disaster was assessed using high-resolution satellite images acquired before the landslide. These include Quick Bird, Pleiades-1 and GF-2 images with spatial resolutions of 0.65 m, 0.70 m, and 0.80 m, respectively, and the aerial images acquired from the UAV after the landslide with a spatial resolution of 0.1 m. According to the analysis, the area of the landslide was 1.62 km2, and the volume of the landslide was 7.70 ± 1.46 million m3. The average thickness of the landslide accumulation was approximately 8 m. The landslide destroyed a total of 103 buildings. The area of destroyed farmlands was 2.53 ha, and the orchard area was reduced by 28.67 ha. A 2-km section of Songpinggou River was blocked and a 2.1-km section of township road No. 104 was buried. Constrained by the terrain conditions, densely populated and more economically developed areas in the upper reaches of the Minjiang River basin are mainly located in the bottom of the valleys. | 17 | Efficacy of short-term multidisciplinary intensive rehabilitation in patients with different Parkinson's disease motor subtypes: a prospective pilot study with 3-month follow-up显示文摘Parkinson's disease(PD) can be classified into three motor-based subtypes: postural instability/gait difficulty(PIGD), tremor dominant(TD), and indeterminate.The neuropathophysiological mechanisms of the three motor subtypes are different, which may lead to different responses to therapy.Sixty-nine patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease(Hoehn–Yahr stage ≤ 3) were screened from 436 patients with Parkinsonism recruited through outpatient services and the internet.According to the Movement Disorder Society Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(MDS-UPDRS) TD/PIGD ratio, the patients were divided into PIGD(TD/PIGD ≤ 0.09;n = 36), TD(TD/PIGD ≥1.15;n = 19), and indeterminate(TD/PIGD = 0.90–1.15;n = 14) groups.All patients received 2 weeks of multidisciplinary intensive rehabilitation treatment(MIRT) during hospitalization, as well as a remote home rehabilitation health education class.Compared with the scores at admission, all patients showed significant improvements in their MDS-UPDRS III score, walking ability, balance, and posture control at discharge.Moreover, the MDS-UPDRS III score improvement was greater in the PIGD group than in the TD group.The follow-up data, collected for 3 months after discharge, showed that overall symptom improvement in each group was maintained for 1–3 months.Furthermore, there were no significant differences in the duration or grade effects of symptom improvement among the three groups.These findings suggest that 2 weeks of MIRT is effective for improving motor performance in all three motor subtypes.Patients in the PIGD group had a better response after hospitalization than those in the TD group.This study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee of Beijing Rehabilitation Hospital of Capital Medical University of China(approval No.2018 bkky022) on May 7, 2018 and registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry(registration No.Chi CTR1900020771) on January 19, 2019. | Ke-Ke Chen Zhao-Hui Jin Lei Gao Lin Qi Qiao-Xia Zhen Cui Liu Ping Wang Yong-Hong Liu Rui-Dan Wang Yan-Jun Liu Jin-Ping Fang Yuan Su Xiao-Yan Yan Ai-Xian Liu Bo-Yan Fang | 2021 | Neural Regeneration Research2021,16,7: | 8 |

| 19 | Down-regulation of PTEN expression due to loss of promoter activity in human hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines显示文摘AIM: To investigate the regulation of phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten (PTEN) gene expression in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell lines.METHODS: The mRNA and protein levels of PTEN were detected by Northern blot and Western blot in HCC cell lines, respectively. Plasmids containing different fragments of PTEN promoter with Luciferase reporter were constructed and transiently transfected into HCC cell lines to study the promoter activity. DNA analysis and RT-PCR were performed to detect the mutation of PTEN promoter and PTEN cDNA.RESULTS: Either protein or mRNA levels of PTEN in L02 cells (as a control) were significantly higher than that in HCC cell lines. The profile of PTEN promoter activity in 8 cell lines was closely correlated with levels of PTEN mRNA and PTEN protein. | 20 | A Novel Resource Allocation Method in Ultra-Dense Network Based on Noncooperation Game Theory显示文摘In ultra-dense networks(UDNs), large-scale deployment of femto base stations is an important technique for improving the network throughput and quality of service(QoS). In this paper, a multidimensional resource allocation algorithm based on noncooperation game theory is proposed to manage the resource allocation in UDNs, including transmission point association, user channels, and power. The algorithm derives a multidimensional resource optimization model and converts into a noncooperation game model according to the analysis of transmission point association user channel and power allocation. The algorithm includes two phases: transmission point association, and channel and power allocation. Then, feasible domain and discrete variables relaxation approaches are introduced to derive an approximate optimal multidimensional resource allocation solution with low complexity.
