| 4 | Seismic failure mode improvement of RC frame structure based on multiple lateral load patterns of pushover analyses显示文摘The structural failure under severe ground motions is primarily caused by their unreasonable seismic failure mode (SFM). This paper provides a methodology aiming at the SFM improvement of reinforced concrete frame structure. An RC frame is modeled and three types of failure criterion are defined as the premise of SFM. Static pushover analysis is adopted to identify the SFM. The dominant failure modes and failure paths of the structure are obtained in three lateral load patterns (inverted trian- gular distribution, uniform distribution and adaptive distribution). Based on the pushover analysis, the sequential failure of components and the probability of the occurrence of plastic hinges are determined. By this, weak components of the structure are detected and herein are strengthened. The project cost of the proposed strengthening strategy increases by 2.4%. Capacity spectrum method is used to study the performance of the strengthening structure. Pushover analysis is conducted again to present the improvement of strength and ductility. | 8 | Realization of the global yield mechanism of RC frame structures by redesigning the columns using column tree method显示文摘Global failure mechanism, i.e., the strong-column weak-beam mechanism, can provide higher total energy dissipation capacity with less ductility demand on components than other failure modes, and results in a more uniform story drift distribution and higher resistance to earthquake loads at the system level. However, the current code-based elastic design method cannot guarantee the global failure mechanism of frame structures under severe earthquakes. In this paper, a simple, but practical design procedure is proposed to ensure the global failure mechanism of reinforced concrete(RC) frame structures by redesigning the columns using the column tree method(CTM). CTM considers the yield limit state of all beams and column bases. The code-based design is firstly carried out to determine the section information of all beams and base columns. Then, the internal force demands applied on the column tree can be derived. Lastly, the column moments, shear forces and axial forces are determined according to the free-body diagram of CTM to finish the column redesign. Two RC frame structures with 6 and 12 stories are illustrated to verify the design procedure. | 9 | Single-shot AAV-vectored vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 with fast and long-lasting immunity显示文摘Due to the insufficient long-term protection and significant efficacy reduction to new variants of current COVID-19 vaccines,the epidemic prevention and control are still challenging.Here,we employ a capsid and antigen structure engineering(CASE)strategy to manufacture an adenoassociated viral serotype 6-based vaccine(S663V-RBD),which expresses trimeric receptor binding domain(RBD)of spike protein fused with a biological adjuvant RS09.Impressively,the engineered S663V-RBD could rapidly induce a satisfactory RBD-specific IgG titer within 2 weeks and maintain the titer for more than 4 months.Compared to the licensed BBIBP-CorV(Sinopharm,China),a single-dose S663V-RBD induced more endurable and robust immune responses in mice and elicited superior neutralizing antibodies against three typical SARS-CoV-2 pseudoviruses including wild type,C.37(Lambda)and B.1.617.2(Delta).More interestingly,the intramuscular injection of S663V-RBD could overcome pre-existing immunity against the capsid.Given its effectiveness,the CASE-based S663VRBD may provide a new solution for the current and next pandemic. | Fuhua Wu Shuang Luo Yongshun Zhang Yangsen Ou Hairui Wang Zhaofei Guo Chunting He Shuting Bai Penghui He Min Jiang Xiaoyan Chen Guangsheng Du Xun Sun | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,5: | 2 |

| 15 | Effect of chidamide on treating hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma(HSTCL)is a rare subtype of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma,which has an aggressive clinical course and an extremely poor prognosis.Chidamide is a novel,orally active,benzamide-type histone deacetylase(HDAC)inhibitor that has been used for peripheral T-cell lymphoma(PTCL)treatment.However,to date,there has been no report of the treatment and effect of the HDAC inhibitor chidamide in HSTCL,which is a special subtype of PTCL.CASE SUMMARY A 45-year-old male patient was admitted with splenomegaly and slight bicytopenia.He was diagnosed with HSTCL via splenectomy.The patient was treated with fractionated cyclophosphamide,vincristine,doxorubicin,and dexamethasone alternating with high-dose methotrexate and cytarabine regiment as inductive therapy.Unfortunately,the disease progressed rapidly during chemotherapy before a suitable allogeneic gene transplant donor was found.The chidamide-combined chemotherapy regimen and single-drug oral maintenance regimen achieved complete remission,duration of response of 9 mo,and overall survival of 15 mo.CONCLUSION The novel agent chidamide can be used in HSTCL to achieve deep remission and improve the duration of response and overall survival. | Xing-Tong Wang Wei Guo Mo Sun Wei Han Zhong-Hua Du Xiu-Xiu Wang Bei-Bei Du Ou Bai | 2020 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,14: | 1 |
