1Differences in lithospheric structures between two sides of Taihang Mountain obtained from the Zhucheng-Yichuan deep seismic sounding profile显示文摘A 2-D model of lithospheric velocity structures in the southern part of the North China Craton was obtained using data from the Zhucheng-Yichuan deep seismic sounding profile.Results show that there are great differences in lithospheric structures between two sides of Taihang Mountain.In the eastern region,the lithosphere is thinner,with a thickness of about 70-80 km,while in the western region,the thickness is 85-120 km.There is a jump of the lithospheric thickness across Taihang Mountain gravity anomaly belt with a magnitude of about 30 km.P wave velocities of the lithospheric mantle and lower crust are lower in the eastern region and higher in the western region.In the eastern region,there are low velocity bodies in the middle and lower crust,while none were found in the western region.These differences indicate that the Taihang Mountain gravity anomaly belt is a belt with a abrupt change of lithospheric thickness and lithological composition.According to the Pm waveform,it can be deduced that the Moho in the eastern region is not a sharp discontinuity,but a complex transitional zone.From a preliminary analysis,it is found that the geothermal mechanical-chemical erosion could be the main mechanism causing the thinning and destruction of the lithosphere beneath the eastern side of Taihang Mountain.In addition,subduction of the Pacific Plate is an important factor which changes the properties of the lithospheric mantle of the North China Craton.LI SongLin LAI XiaoLing LIU BaoFeng WANG ZhiSuo HE JiaYong SUN Yi 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,6:27

3Comparative Proteomic Analysis of Arabidopsis Mature Pollen and Germinated Pollen显示文摘Proteomic analysis was applied to generating the map of Arabidopsis mature pollen proteins and analyzing the differentially expressed proteins that are potentially involved in the regulation of Arabidopsis pollen germination.By applying 2-D electrophoresis and silver staining,we resolved 499 and 494 protein spots from protein samples extracted from pollen grains and pollen tubes,respectively.Using the matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry method,we identified 189 distinct proteins from 213 protein spots expressed in mature pollen or pollen tubes,and 75 new identified proteins that had not been reported before in research into the Arabidopsis pollen proteome.Comparative analysis revealed that 40 protein spots exhibit reproducible significant changes between mature pollen and pollen tubes.And 21 proteins from 17 downregulated and six upregulated protein spots were identified.Functional category analysis indicated that these differentially expressed proteins mainly involved in signaling,cellular structure,transport,defense/stress responses,transcription,metabolism,and energy production.The patterns of changes at protein level suggested the important roles for energy metabolism-related proteins in pollen tube growth,accompanied by the activation of the stress response pathway and modifications to the cell wall.Junjie Zou Lianfen Song Wenzheng Zhang Yi Wang Songlin Ruan Wei-Hua Wu 2009Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2009,51,5:5
4Preliminary Research on Critical Dimension of Wood under Vacuum Drying显示文摘The objective of this experiment is to explore how the thickness and the length of the specimen affect the vacuum drying rate, and to explore whether the different lengths of specimens have different vacuum drying rates. The results are as follows: in a certain range of dimension and pressure, the length of specimens has more effect on the vacuum drying rate than the thickness. 8SnoRNP is essential for thermospermine-mediated development in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Polyamines have been discovered for hundreds of years and once considered as a class of phytohormones.Polyamines play critical roles in a range of developmental processes.However,the molecular mechanisms of polyamine signaling pathways remain poorly understood.Here,we measured the contents of main types of polyamines,and found that endogenous level of thermospermine(T-Spm)in Arabidopsis thaliana is comparable to those of classic phytohormones and is significantly lower than those of putrescine(Put),spermidine(Spd),and spermine(Spm).We further found a nodule-like structure around the junction area connecting the shoot and root of the T-Spm biosynthetic mutant acl5 and obtained more than 50 suppressors of acl5 nodule structure(san)through suppressor screening.An in-depth study of two san suppressors revealed that NAP57 and NOP56,core components of box H/ACA and C/D snoRNPs,were essential for T-Spm-mediated nodule-like structure formation and plant height.Furthermore,analyses of rRNA modifications showed that the overall levels of pseudouridylation and 2′-O-methylation were compromised in san1 and san2 respectively.Taken together,these results establish a strong genetic relationship between rRNA modification and T-Spm-mediated growth and development,which was previously undiscovered in all organisms.Xilong Li Zongyun Yan Meiling Zhang Jiayin Wang Peiyong Xin Shujing Cheng Liquan Kou Xiaoting Zhang Songlin Wu Jinfang Chu Chengqi Yi Keqiong Ye Bing Wang Jiayang Li 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,1:0
9Influence of Heat Treatment on Color Change of Poplar显示文摘In this paper, Populus tomentosa was used as samples for heat treatment in order to find the initial effect rule of color change, when the temperature rose to180, 200 and 220 oC and the time was kept for 1, 2 and 3 h, respectively. The results are shown as follows: The color of treated wood can be changed obviously by the heat treatment. Under the same temperature, the color saturation becomes smaller and the difference of color becomes more obvious with the increase of the keeping time. Lightness and color hue-angle decreases with the increase of the keeping time. At the same time, the higher the temperature, the bigger the difference of color. Lightness, color hue-angle and the color saturation of the samples decrease with the increasing of the temperature. 10DropLab:an automated magnetic digital microfluidic platform for sample-to-answer point-of-care testing—development and application to quantitative immunodiagnostics显示文摘In point-of-care testing(POCT),tests are performed near patients and results are given rapidly for timely clinical decisions.Immunodiagnostic assays are one of the most important analyses for detecting and quantifying protein-based biomarkers.However,existing POCT immunodiagnostics mainly rely on the lateral flow assay(LFA),which has limited sensitivity or quantification capability.Although other immunodiagnostic assays,such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISAs),offer more sensitive and quantitative results,they require complex liquid manipulations that are difficult to implement in POCT settings by conventional means.Here,we show the development of DropLab,an automated sample-in-answer-out POCT immunodiagnostic platform based on magnetic digital microfluidic(MDM)technology.DropLab performs microbead-based ELISA in droplets to offer more sensitive and quantitative testing results.The intricate liquid manipulations required for ELISA are accomplished by controlling droplets with magnetic microbeads using MDM technology,which enables us to achieve full automation and easy operations with DropLab.Four ELISAs(the sample in triplicates and a negative control)can be run in parallel on the thermoformed disposable chip,which greatly improves the throughput and accuracy compared to those of other POCT immunodiagnostic devices.DropLab was validated by measuring two protein targets and one antibody target.The testing results showed that the limit of detection(LOD)of DropLab matched that of the conventional ELISA in a microwell plate.DropLab brings MDM one step closer to being a viable medical technology that is ready for real-world POCT applications.Xuyang Hu Xiangyu Gao Songlin Chen Jinhong Guo Yi Zhang 2023Microsystems & Nanoengineering2023,9,1:0
11Effect of Initial Moisture Content on Solar Drying Ratefor Eucalyptus grandis × E. urophylla显示文摘Wood drying is one of the most important process links in wood products processing.However, the existing drying methods mainly depend on heat to desiccate wood, which makes wooddrying consume roughly 40% - 70% of the total energy in the entire wood process. Using solar energyfor drying is greatly significant in two aspects of energy conservation and environment protection. Themoisture content (MC) of lumber affects not only the target value of wood drying, but also the heattransfer properties, moisture rate of expansion, etc., affecting dried lumber quality and drying rate.Eucalyptus grandis × E.urophylla lumbers were collected from Guangdong as test materials and dried inthe solar dryer with low temperature schedule and the effect of initial moisture content were primarystudied on drying rate. Experiments showed that solar drying was suitable for timber with high MC. Interms of drying rate and dried lumber quality, solar drying was as good as traditional steam drying withthe same schedule. 12Comparison of Drying Rate and Energy Consumption between Vacuum and Ambient Pressure Drying for Chinese Fir显示文摘In this work, Chinese fir samples with a size of 400 mm (L) by 50 mm (W) 30 mm (H) weretaken as specimens, and drying rate and energy consumption were compared under the conditions, inwhich the absolute pressure was 0.02 , 0.04 , 0.06 and 0.10 MPa, respectively, and the temperature was80 oC. The results showed that, when the moisture content (MC) of the samples was above fibersaturation point (FSP), the vacuum drying rate was 0.96-1.24 times as high as the ambient pressuredrying rate. However, when it was below FSP, the vacuum drying rate was 1.26-1.32 times as high as theambient pressure drying rate.
