| 2 | Genetic improvement of heat tolerance in wheat:Recent progress in understanding the underlying molecular mechanisms显示文摘As a cool season crop, wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) has an optimal daytime growing temperature of 15 ℃ during the reproductive stage. With global climate change, heat stress is becoming an increasingly severe constraint on wheat production. In this review, we summarize recent progress in understanding the molecular mechanisms of heat tolerance in wheat. We firstly describe the impact of heat tolerance on morphology and physiology and its potential effect on agronomic traits. We then review recent discoveries in determining the genetic and molecular factors affecting heat tolerance, including the effects of phytohormone signaling and epigenetic regulation. | 4 | Environmental taxation and regional inequality in China显示文摘In order to combat environmental pollution, China enacted the Environmental Protection Tax Law in early 2018. Yet the impacts of the environmental tax on individual regions with different socioeconomic statuses, which are crucial for social justice and public acceptance, remain unclear. Based on a MultiRegional Input-Output(MRIO) table and a nationally regulated tax payment calculation method, this study analyzes the distributional impacts of an environmental tax based upon province’s consumption from both inter-provincial and rural-urban aspects. The national tax revenue based on the current levy mechanism is estimated to be only one seventh of the economic loss from premature mortality caused by ambient particulate matter(PM2.5). The taxation may slightly alleviate urban-rural inequality but may not be helpful with reducing inter-provincial inequality. We further analyze two alternative levy mechanisms. | 7 | Clinical Study on the Effects of Electroacupuncture Combined with Extracorporeal Shock Wave in the Treatment of Periarthritis of Shoulder显示文摘Objective:To investigate the clinical effects of electroacupuncture combined with extracorporeal shock wave in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder.Methods:136 patients with periarthritis of shoulder admitted to our hospital from September 2018 to September 2019 were randomly divided into two groups by double-blind method.68 patients in the control group were treated with extracorporeal shock wave;68 patients in the observation group were treated with electroacupuncture combined with extracorporeal shock wave.The shoulder joint pain,joint function and activities of daily living were compared between the two groups.Results:The VAS score of shoulder joint pain in the observation group after treatment(1.92±0.24)was lower than that in the control group(3.51±0.32),and the UCLA score of shoulder joint function(31.28±1.96)was higher than that of the control group(27.42±2.36),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the active degree of forward flexion and extension of shoulder joint in the observation group was higher than those of the control group,and the activities of daily living was higher than that of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05)Conclusion:Electroacupuncture combined with extracorporeal shock wave treatment for periarthritis of shoulder has achieved ideal effects,safety and non-invasiveness,and can quickly restore the functions of shoulder joints. | Peng Qi Yu Zhang Shengguang Li Hongjian Yu | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2021,5,2: | 2 |
| 8 | Cross-Modal Complementary Network with Hierarchical Fusion for Multimodal Sentiment Classification显示文摘Multimodal Sentiment Classification(MSC)uses multimodal data,such as images and texts,to identify the users'sentiment polarities from the information posted by users on the Internet.MSC has attracted considerable attention because of its wide applications in social computing and opinion mining.However,improper correlation strategies can cause erroneous fusion as the texts and the images that are unrelated to each other may integrate.Moreover,simply concatenating them modal by modal,even with true correlation,cannot fully capture the features within and between modals.To solve these problems,this paper proposes a Cross-Modal Complementary Network(CMCN)with hierarchical fusion for MSC.The CMCN is designed as a hierarchical structure with three key modules,namely,the feature extraction module to extract features from texts and images,the feature attention module to learn both text and image attention features generated by an image-text correlation generator,and the cross-modal hierarchical fusion module to fuse features within and between modals.Such a CMCN provides a hierarchical fusion framework that can fully integrate different modal features and helps reduce the risk of integrating unrelated modal features.Extensive experimental results on three public datasets show that the proposed approach significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods. | Cheng Peng Chunxia Zhang Xiaojun Xue Jiameng Gao Hongjian Liang Zhengdong Niu | 2022 | Tsinghua Science and Technology2022,27,4: | 2 |

| 15 | Research on properties of DO_3- and B2-type ordered alloys and disordered alloys in Nb-Mo alloy system in BCC structure显示文摘Based on the idea of systematic science of alloys, we derived the interaction equations of binary alloys in BCC structure in this paper. According to the basic information of characteristic atoms sequences and characteristic crystals sequences of Nb-Mo alloy system and the concentrations of characteristic atoms of Nb-Mo alloy system, the properties of DO3-Nb3Mo type ordered alloys, B2-NbMo type ordered alloys and DO3-NbMo3 type ordered alloys and disordered alloys were calcu-lated. The results show that the properties of ordered alloys exhibit stronger variations than those of disordered Nb(1-x)Mox alloys when approaching the stoichiometric ratio, whereas the opposite trend occurs when deviating from the stoichiometric ratio. The main reason is that the ordering degree is maximal at the stoichiometric ratio while it decreases linearly when deviating from stoichiometric ratio. | 19 | The evolving concept of physiological ischemia training vs. ischemia preconditioning显示文摘Ischemic heart diseases are the leading cause of death with increasing numbers of patients worldwide.Despite advances in revascularization techniques,angiogenic therapies remain highly attractive.Physiological ischemia training,which is first proposed in our laboratory,refers to reversible ischemia training of normal skeletal muscles by using a tourniquet or isometric contraction to cause physiologic ischemia for about 4 weeks for the sake of triggering molecular and cellular mechanisms to promote angiogenesis and formation of collateral vessels and protect remote ischemia areas.Physiological ischemia training therapy augments angiogenesis in the ischemic myocardium by inducing differential expression of proteins involved in energy metabolism,cell migration,protein folding,and generation.It upregulates the expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor,and induces angiogenesis,protects the myocardium when infarction occurs by increasing circulating endothelial progenitor cells and enhancing their migration,which is in accordance with physical training in heart disease rehabilitation.These findings may lead to a new approach of therapeutic angiogenesis for patients with ischemic heart diseases.On the basis of the promising results in animal studies,studies were also conducted in patients with coronary artery disease without any adverse effect in vivo,indicating that physiological ischemia training therapy is a safe,effective and non-invasive angiogenic approach for cardiovascular rehabilitation.Preconditioning is considered to be the most protective intervention against myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury to date.Physiological ischemia training is different from preconditioning.This review summarizes the preclinical and clinical data of physiological ischemia training and its difference from preconditioning. | Jun Ni Hongjian Lu Xiao Lu Minghui Jiang Qingyun Peng Caili Ren Jie Xiang Chengyao Mei Jianan Li | 2015 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,6: | 1 |
| 20 | Flexible dopamine-sensing fiber based on potentiometric method for long-term detection in vivo显示文摘Achieving real-time,continuous and long-term monitoring of dopamine(DA)in vivo is essential for revealing brain functions and preventing and treating neurogenic diseases.However,it remains challenging to achieve a low limit of detection(LOD)and high neuron-compatibility at the same time for the current microsensors,resulting in the failure of long-term and accurate detection of DA in vivo.A DA-sensing fiber was achieved by the potentiometric method to possess a low LOD of 5 nM,1-3 orders of magnitude lower than amperometry and differential-pulse voltammetry.The sensing fiber showed a wide linear range from 5 to 185 nM that well matched the DA concentration(26-40 nM)in vivo.After implantation,the sensing fiber showed no influence on the firing rates of neurons with the potentiometric test,indicating high neuron-compatibility.It was then integrated with electrophysiology to simultaneously monitor DA variation and electrical signal in the brain,with stable monitoring of DA change in vivo for 8 weeks.The sensing fiber was flexible and stably worked after hundreds of bending,and it showed high sensitivity even after protein adsorption,thus offering a reliable tool for neuroscience. | Liyuan Wang Jiawei Chen Jiajia Wang Hongjian Li Chuanrui Chen Jianyou Feng Yue Guo Hongbo Yu Xuemei Sun Huisheng Peng | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,10: | 0 |
