1Spatial correlation-based characterization of acoustic emission signal-cloud in a granite sample by a cube clustering approach显示文摘To extract more in-depth information of acoustic emission(AE)signal-cloud in rock failure under triaxial compression,the spatial correlation of scattering AE events in a granite sample is effectively described by the cube-cluster model.First,the complete connection of the fracture network is regarded as a critical state.Then,according to the Hoshen-Kopelman(HK)algorithm,the real-time estimation of fracture con-nection is effectively made and a dichotomy between cube size and pore fraction is suggested to solve such a challenge of the one-to-one match between complete connection and cluster size.After,the 3D cube clusters are decomposed into orthogonal layer clusters,which are then transformed into the ellip-soid models.Correspondingly,the anisotropy evolution of fracture network could be visualized by three orthogonal ellipsoids and quantitatively described by aspect ratio.Besides,the other three quantities of centroid axis length,porosity,and fracture angle are analyzed to evaluate the evolution of cube cluster.The result shows the sample dilatancy is strongly correlated to four quantities of aspect ratio,centroid axis length,and porosity as well as fracture angle.Besides,the cube cluster model shows a potential pos-sibility to predict the evolution of fracture angle.So,the cube cluster model provides an in-depth view of spatial correlation to describe the AE signal-cloud.Dongjie Xue Zepeng Zhang Cheng Chen Jie Zhou Lan Lu Xiaotong Sun Yintong Liu 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,4:5
2Cold-temperature deformation of nano-sized tungsten and niobium as revealed by in-situ nano-mechanical experiments显示文摘We constructed and developed an in-situ cryogenic nanomechanical system to study small-scale mechanical behavior of materials at low temperatures.Uniaxial compression of two body-centered-cubic(bcc)metals,Nb and W,with diameters between400 and 1300 nm,was studied at room temperature and at 165 K.Experiments were conducted inside of a Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM)equipped with a nanomechanical module,with simultaneous cooling of sample and diamond tip.Stress-strain data at 165 K exhibited higher yield strengths and more extensive strain bursts on average,as compared to those at 298 K.We discuss these differences in the framework of nano-sized plasticity and intrinsic lattice resistance.Dislocation dynamics simulations with surface-controlled dislocation multiplication were used to gain insight into size and temperature effects on deformation of nano-sized bcc metals.LEE Seok-Woo CHENG YinTong RYU Ill GREER Julia R. 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,4:2

9Unsupervised feature selection based on Markov blanket and particle swarm optimization显示文摘Feature selection plays an important role in data mining and recognition, especially in the large scale text, image and biological data. Specifically, the class label information is unavailable to guide the selection of minimal feature subset in unsupervised feature selection, which is challenging and interesting. An unsupervised feature selection based on Markov blanket and particle swarm optimization is proposed named as UFSMB-PSO. The proposed method seeks to find the high-quality feature subset through multi-particles' cooperation of particle swarm optimization without using any learning algorithms. Moreover, the features' relevance will be computed based on an information metric of relevance gain,which provides an information theoretical foundation for finding the minimization of the redundancy between features. 10Effect of cluster needling at scalp acupoints on differential protein expression in rat brain tissue after acute focal cerebral ischemia显示文摘Objective:To explore the function of cluster needling at scalp points therapy on regulating differential protein's expression at different time points in middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)model rats.Methods:Fifty-four rats were divided into three groups randomly and 18 rats in each group.The groups respectively were the model group(group M,n=18),cluster needling at scalp points group(group C,n=18),false operation group(group F,n=18).Each group was then assigned in three subgroups,including 24-h,7-day,and 14-day subgroups.Six rats in each subgroup.Acupuncture at Baihui(GV20)and 2 points beside Baihui,which was 3 e4 mm away from the midline.Longa score was used to evaluated neurological effects.Proteomics methods were used to identify differentially expression proteins with a standard of fold change greater than 1.5 and P<.05 at different times.Results:1.Nerve function scoring:The nerve function scores at 7 and 14 days decreased in group C,which showed better neural function than group M(P<.05).2.Fold change in proteins:Group M showed932 differentially expressed proteins compared with group F,and among them,414 proteins showed significant changes in expression after acupuncture.The expression levels of Cdc42 and GFAP were increased,and Mag,Shank2,and MBP levels were decreased.In the Gene Ontology analysis,the cellular component consisted of the terms cytoplasm,cytoskeleton,lysosome,and plasma membrane.The main related biological processes were cellecell signaling,protein transport,aging,and cell adhesion.Many synaptic and metabolic pathways were found by KEGG analysis.Conclusion:Cluster needling at scalp acupoints can improve the nerve function score and improve dyskinesia in MCAO model rats.Cluster needling at scalp acupoints can regulate the expression of 414 proteins,including Cdc42,GFAP,Mag,Shank2,and MBP,which are related to cerebral ischemia.The differential proteins are major concentration in cytoplasm,cytoskeleton,lysosomes,and plasma membrane,participate in cellecell signaling,protein transport,aging,and cell adhesion,and act through multiple synaptic and metabolic pathways to exert their biological functions.Xiaona Wu Jinxia Ni Huiyan An Yintong Gao Miaomiao Li Zhenzhen Huang Jingni Xu 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,3:1
11CuO nanoflowers/copper fiber felt integrated porous electrode for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘The structure of current collectors has significant effects on the performance of a lithium-ion battery(LIB).In this study,we use copper fiber felts made by multi-tooth cutting and high-temperature solid-phase sintering as the current collector for LIBs.An integrated porous electrode based on CuO nanoflowers/copper fiber felt is developed for the anode.Results suggest that the reversible capacity and cycle stability of this new anode are significantly improved,compared with the pristine bare-surface copper plate under the same condition of rate cycles.The new anode structure based on the copper-fiber felt with a porosity of 60%exhibits a higher performance with an initial specific capacity of 609.5 mAh g^(-1)and retains 486.1 mAh g^(-1)after 200 cycles at a current density of 0.5 C.The improved electrochemical performance of this electrode is attributed to its large surface area of CuO nanoflowers and porous structure of the copper fiber felt,due to enhanced contact between the active material of CuO nanoflowers and electrolyte.This pore-rich structure makes the electrolyte easy to permeate into the electrode,shortens the diffusion path of Li^(+),reduces the internal resistance and alleviates the volume expansion of the active material during the insertion and desertion processes of Li^(+).YUAN Wei YE YinTong YANG Yang ZHANG XiaoQing PAN BaoYou PENG ZiMing WU MuLun QIU ZhiQiang WANG Chun YUAN YuHang YAN ZhiGuo TANG Yong 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,11:1

13On the excavation-induced stress drop in damaged coal considering a coupled yield and failure criterion显示文摘Investigating the stress drop of abutment pressure is the key to a deep quantitative analysis of the discontinuous stress redistribution under mining.In the present study,uniaxial and triaxial compression tests are carried out separately to determine the bulk and shear moduli,the cohesion,and the internal friction angle of the coal samples.By extending the meaning of Mohr’s circle referring to yield stress instead of the maximum principal stress,a yield line is introduced to illustrate the stress drop of Mohr’s circle referring to yield stress instead of the maximum principal stress at the elastoplastic boundary.Furthermore,a theoretical solution of the stress drop as a function of the damage is proposed to investigate how the abutment pressure differs considering the yield line and failure line.In addition,applying the stress drop at the yield line in non-pillar mining,top coal mining,and protective coal mining shows that the damage has a nonlinearly positive influence on the stress drop.The results shows that the bulk modulus and internal friction angle have a more sensitive influence on the stress drop than do the shear modulus and cohesion.Finally,the stress drop is divided into a discontinuous stress drop at the yield line and a structural stress drop at the failure line.The stress drop is effective in describing the discontinuous stress redistribution and shows a clear difference in the movement direction of Mohr’s circle considering the unloading pressure.Dongjie Xue Jie Zhou Yintong Liu Lie Gao 2020International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2020,7,1:1

16A colorimetric assay for cholesterol based on the encapsulation of multienzyme in leaf-shape crossed ZIF-L显示文摘The serum cholesterol level is an important indicator of healthy and there is a great necessity for frequent cholesterol monitoring to some cardiovascular-related diseases, which puts forward higher requirements for point-of-care testing(POCT) of cholesterol. In this work, a cascade catalytic system of cholesterol is developed by encapsulation of cholesterol oxidase(Ch Ox) and Pd Cu Au nanoparticles into zeolitic imidazolate framework-L(Ch Ox/PCA@ZIF-L). Results indicate that ZIF-L carrier can significantly increase the catalytic activity of single or multiple enzymes, due to its high loading capacity and efficient molecular transport. Under the optimal conditions, the absorbance of reaction system performs linear relationships with the concentration of cholesterol in two intervals from 0.0005 mmol/L to 1.0000 mmol/L, with a limit of detection of 0.2176 μmol/L. The proposed colorimetric strategy based on Ch Ox/PCA@ZIF-L performs a good agreement with the results provided by chemiluminescence method for the serum cholesterol detection. Interestingly, a simple paper-based sensing system is constructed through a pre-reaction-transfer operation, which gets rid of the complex pre-processing requirements of traditional operations on filter paper. 17Cluster modeling of the short-range correlation of acoustically emitted scattering signals显示文摘As a widely used measurement technique in rock mechanics,spatial correlation modeling of acoustic emission(AE)scattering signals is attracting increasing focus for describing mechanical behavior quantitatively.Unlike the statistical description of the spatial distribution of randomly generated AE signals,spatial correlation modeling is based mainly on short-range correlation considering the interrelationship of adjacent signals.As a new idea from percolation models,the covering strategy is used to build the most representative cube cluster,which corresponds to the critical scale at peak stress.Its modeling process of critical cube cluster depends strongly on the full connection of the main fracture network,and the corresponding cube for coverage is termed the critical cube.The criticality pertains to not only the transition of local-to-whole connection of the fracture network but also the increasing-to-decreasing transition of the deviatoric stress with an obvious stress drop in the brittle failure of granite.Determining a reasonable critical cube guarantees the best observation scale for investigating the failure process.Besides,the topological connection induces the geometric criticality of three descriptors,namely anisotropy,pore fraction,and specific surface area,which are evaluated separately and effectively.The results show that cluster modeling based on the critical cube is effective and has criticality in both topology and geometry,as well as the triaxial behavior.Furthermore,the critical cube length presents a high confidence probability of being correlated to the mineral particle size.Besides,its pore fraction of cube cluster is influenced strongly by the critical cube length and confining pressure.Dongjie Xue Lele Lu Jie Zhou Lan Lu Yintong Liu 2021International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2021,8,4:0
18The 2023 Earthquake in Türkiye and Implications for China's Response to Catastrophe显示文摘On 6 February 2023,two 7.8 magnitude earthquakes consecutively hit south-central Türkiye,causing great concern from all governments,the United Nations,academia,and all sectors of society.Analyses indicate that there is also a high possibility of strong earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.8 or above occurring in the western region of China in the coming years.China is a country that is highly susceptible to catastrophic disasters such as earthquakes,floods,and other natural calamities,which can cause significant damages to both human life and property,as well as widespread impacts on the society.Currently,China's capacity for disaster prevention and control is still limited.In order to effectively reduce the impact of catastrophic disasters,ensure the safety of people's lives and property to the greatest extent possible,maintain social stability in high-risk areas,and ensure high-quality and sustainable regional development,it is urgent to improve the seismic resistance level of houses and critical infrastructure in high earthquake risk zones and increase the earthquake-resistant design level of houses in high-risk fault areas with frequent seismic activities;significantly enhance the ability to defend against extreme weather and ocean disasters in economically developed areas along the southeastern coast,as well as the level of fortification in response to extreme meteorological and hydrological disasters of coastal towns/cities and key infrastructure;vigorously enhance the emergency response capacity and disaster risk prevention level in western and ethnic minority regions;comprehensively improve the defense level of residential areas and major infrastructure in high geological hazard risk zones with flash floods,landslides,and mudslides;systematically promote national disaster prevention and mitigation education;and greatly enhance the societal disaster risk reduction ability,including catastrophic insurance.Peijun Shi Lianyou Liu Weihua Fang Jifu Liu Jidong Wu Lu Jiang Bo Chen Gangfeng Zhang Hao Zheng Yintong Zhang 2023International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2023,14,6:0
19Identification,expression and functional analysis of U3 snoRNA genes from Neurospora crassa显示文摘By screening of a cDNA library constructed with small RNAs from Neurospora crassa and genome analysis,three U3 snoRNAs of 262,270 and 275 nt were identified and named as NcU3A,NcU3B and NcU3C,respectively. Expression of the three U3 snoRNA genes was further analyzed by Northern blot hybridization. Meanwhile,two 50-truncated U3 transcripts with different sizes were also identified,indicating a complex posttranscriptional processing of the U3 snoRNAs. In addition to the known functional elements complementary to 18S rRNA,a novel antisense sequence to 26S rRNA was found in NcU3A. A primer extension assay showed that the antisense sequence did not guide 20-O-ribose methylation of 26S rRNA but probably functioned as an rRNA chaperon. In the N. crassa genome,three U3 snoRNA genes are independently transcribed and each of them contains a small intron. The same intron-inserting site in the U3 snoRNA genes among N. crassa and yeasts shows the ancient origin of the intron in these organisms.
