2Effect of size on mechanical behavior of Au pillars by molecular dynamics study显示文摘The influence of specimen size on the mechanical behavior of Au pillars is studied by means of molecular dynamics (MD) simulations with the EAM potential.Under compression at 300 K,as the deformation of pillars is in the plastic stage,nucleation of partial dislocations is observed.The coupling effect of surface stress and thermal activation is considered when analyzing the size effect on the yield property of the Au pillars.It appears that both the tensile stress component and the temperature in the surface layer impart significant effect on the mechanical behaviors of the nano-sized Au pillars.TANG QiHeng 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,6:7

4Porous γ-Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticle decorated with atomically dispersed platinum: Study on atomic site structural change and gas sensor activity evolution显示文摘Decorating semi-conducting metal oxide with noble metal has been recognized as a viable approach to improve the sensitivity of gas sensor. However, conventional method which relys on noble metal nanoparticles is confronted with drawback of significantly increased cost. To maximize the atom efficiency and reduce the cost for practical industrial application, designing sensor material with noble metal isolated single atom sites (ISAS) doping is a desired option. Here, we report an atomically dispersed platinum on one-dimensional arranged porous γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticle composites as highly efficient ethanol gas sensor. The optimized sample (Pt1-Fe2O3-ox) exhibited a high response (Ra/Rg = 102.4) and good selectivity to ethanol gas. It is demonstrated only the Pt single atom sites with high valance can effectively promote the adsorption capacity to ethanol and consequently enhance the sensitivity of sensing process by changing the electrical structure of Fe2O3 support. 5MD simulations of loading rate dependence of detwinning deformation in nanocrystalline Ni显示文摘Molecular dynamics simulations are performed to investigate the deformation behavior of nanocrystalline Ni with pre-twin atom structure.The simulation sample is composed of four grains with average size 12 nm.The simulation technique of isobaric-isothermal ensemble(NPT) with high pressure is applied to obtain a sample with two circle twins.Under uniaxial tensile and shear loading,as well as different detwinning deformation behaviors are observed.Under uniaxial tension the detwinning deformation is induced by the event of grain growth,and it is supported by local energy analysis.Under the shear loading the detwinning deformation is related to the loading rate.The results show that there may be a critical shear rate.As the shear rate is sufficiently high the circle twin is found to be failed;as the shear rate is less than that rate,the size of circle twin become smaller and gradually approach a constant value.Our simulation results are in good agreement with experiment observation.SU Hao TANG QiHeng 2013Science China Chemistry2013,56,3:3
6Optimal control strategy for energy saving in trains under the four-aspect fixed autoblock system显示文摘This paper deals with both the leading train and the following train in a train tracking under a four-aspect fixed autoblock system in order to study the optimum operating strategy for energy saving.After analyzing the working principle of the four-aspect fixed autoblock system,an energy-saving control model is created based on the dynamics equation of the trains.In addition to safety,energy consumption and time error are the main concerns of the model.Based on this model,dynamic speed constraints of the following train are proposed,defined by the leading train dynamically.At the same time,the static speed constraints defined by the line conditions are also taken into account.The parallel genetic algorithm is used to search the optimum operating strategy.In order to simplify the solving process,the external punishment function is adopted to transform this problem with constraints to the one without constraints.By using the real number coding and the strategy of dividing ramps into three parts,the convergence of GA is accelerated and the length of chromosomes is shortened.The simulation result from a four-aspect fixed autoblock system simulation platform shows that the method can reduce the energy consumption effectively in the premise of ensuring safety and punctuality.Qiheng LU Xiaoyun FENG 2011Journal of Modern Transportation2011,19,2:3
7A continuum thermal stress theory for crystals based on interatomic potentials显示文摘This paper presents a new continuum thermal stress theory for crystals based on interatomic potentials.The effect of finite temperature is taken into account via a harmonic model.An EAM potential for copper is adopted in this paper and verified by computing the effect of the temperature on the specific heat,coefficient of thermal expansion and lattice constant.Then we calculate the elastic constants of copper at finite temperature.The calculation results are in good agreement with experimental data.The thermal stress theory is applied to an anisotropic crystal graphite,in which the Brenner potential is employed.Temperature dependence of the thermodynamic properties,lattice constants and thermal strains for graphite is calculated.The calculation results are also in good agreement with experimental data.LIU XiaoLei TANG QiHeng WANG TzuChiang 2014Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,2:3
8Comparative FISH and molecular identification of new stripe rust resistant wheat-Thinopyrum intermedium ssp. trichophorum introgression lines显示文摘Thinopyrum intermedium(2 n = 6 x = 42, JJJ^sJ^sStSt) has been hybridized extensively with common wheat and has proven to be a valuable germplasm source for improving disease resistance, quality attributes, and yield potential in wheat. We characterized new disease resistant wheat-Th. intermedium derivatives A1082 and A5-5 using sequential multi-color fluorescence in situ hybridization(mc-FISH), genomic in situ hybridization(GISH), PCRbased landmark unique gene(PLUG) and intron targeting(IT) markers. A1082 was identified as a wheat-Th. intermedium 3J disomic addition line, and A5-5 was a T4BS·5J^sL homozygous Robertsonian translocation line. Seventy-one and 106 pairs of primers amplified Th.intermedium-specific bands allowing chromosomes 3J and 5J^s to be tracked, respectively. A new oligonucleotide probe, Oligo-6 H-2-100, was developed for FISH labeling of the subterminal region of the long arm of chromosome 5J^s. Both lines were highly resistant to stripe rust pathogen races prevalent in Chinese field screening nurseries. A5-5 also displayed a significant increase in tiller number compared to its wheat parent. 9Attributes-based person re-identification via CNNs with coupled clusters loss显示文摘Person re-identification(re-id)involves matching a person across nonoverlapping views,with different poses,illuminations and conditions.Visual attributes are understandable semantic information to help improve the issues including illumination changes,viewpoint variations and occlusions.This paper proposes an end-to-end framework of deep learning for attribute-based person re-id.In the feature representation stage of framework,the improved convolutional neural network(CNN)model is designed to leverage the information contained in automatically detected attributes and learned low-dimensional CNN features.Moreover,an attribute classifier is trained on separate data and includes its responses into the training process of our person re-id model.The coupled clusters loss function is used in the training stage of the framework,which enhances the discriminability of both types of features.The combined features are mapped into the Euclidean space.The L2 distance can be used to calculate the distance between any two pedestrians to determine whether they are the same.Extensive experiments validate the superiority and advantages of our proposed framework over state-of-the-art competitors on contemporary challenging person re-id datasets.SUN Rui HUANG Qiheng FANGWei ZHANG Xudong 2020Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2020,31,1:1
10Effects of Bamboo Fiber Length and Loading on Mechanical,Thermal and Pulverization Properties of Phenolic Foam Composites显示文摘In order to improve the mechanical properties and toughness of phenolic foams,a reinforcement method using two kinds of bamboo fibers was optimized with respect to the fiber contents.The compressive and flexural properties,thermal stability,friability and morphology of the phenolic foam composites were studied.The mechanical properties of the pristine foam and composites were evaluated by measuring the compressive strength.The results showed that the greatest mechanical properties were achieved by incorporating 2.5wt%of the reinforcement,and the compressive and flexural strengths of the two composites increased by 26.21%and 24.35%,respectively,compared with that of the pristine foam.The results of thermogravimetric testing demonstrated that the addition of bamboo fiber imparted better thermal stability to the phenolic foam,which was mainly attributed to the higher initial thermal decomposition temperature of the bamboo fiber.However,the influences of both reinforcements on the thermal stability of the material were negligible.The incorporation of bamboo fiber decreased the friability of the phenolic foam.Furthermore,the reduction in friability of the foam composites with longer lengths were higher than that in foams with shorter bamboo fibers.Moreover,the morphology and cell sizes of the fiber-reinforced phenolic foams were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy,the results indicated strong bonding between the fibers and phenolic matrix,and the incorporation of the bamboo fibers into the foam resulted in increased cell size of the material.Finally,the thermal conductivity and flame resistance of the phenolic foams reinforced by the bamboo fibers were also measured.Qiheng TANG Lu FANG Wenjing GUO 2019Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2019,4,1:1

15KRAS mutation-induced EndMT of brain arteriovenous malformation is mediated through the TGF-β/BMP-SMAD4 pathway显示文摘Objective Somatic KRAS mutations have been identified in the majority of brain arteriovenous malformations(bAVMs),and subsequent in vivo experiments have confirmed that KRAS mutation in endothelial cells(ECs)causes AVMs in mouse and zebrafish models.Our previous study demonstrated that the KRASG12D mutant independently induced the endothelial-mesenchymal transition(EndMT),which was reversed by treatment with the lipid-lowering drug lovastatin.However,the underlying mechanisms of action were unclear.Methods We used human umbilical vein ECs(HUVECs)overexpressing the KRASG12D mutant for Western blotting,quantitative real-time PCR,and immunofluorescence and wound healing assays to evaluate the EndMT and determine the activation of downstream pathways.Knockdown of SMAD4 by RNA interference was performed to explore the role of SMAD4 in regulating the EndMT.BAVM ECs expressing the KRASG12D mutant were obtained to verify the SMAD4 function.Finally,we performed a coimmunoprecipitation assay to probe the mechanism by which lovastatin affects SMAD4.Results HUVECs infected with KRASG12D adenovirus underwent the EndMT.Transforming growth factor beta(TGF-β)and bone morphogenetic protein(BMP)signalling pathways were activated in the KRASG12D-mutant HUVECs and ECs in bAVM tissue.Knocking down SMAD4 expression in both KRASG12D-mutant HUVECs and ECs in bAVM tissues inhibited the EndMT.Lovastatin attenuated the EndMT by downregulating p-SMAD2/3,p-SMAD1/5 and acetylated SMAD4 expression in KRASG12D-mutant HUVECs.Conclusions Our findings suggest that the KRASG12D mutant induces the EndMT by activating the ERK-TGF-β/BMP-SMAD4 signalling pathway and that lovastatin inhibits the EndMT by suppressing TGF-β/BMP pathway activation and SMAD4 acetylation.Hongyuan Xu Ran Huo Hao Li Yuming Jiao Jiancong Weng Jie Wang Zihan Yan Junze Zhang Shaozhi Zhao Qiheng He Yingfan Sun Shuo Wang Yong Cao 2023Stroke & Vascular Neurology2023,8,3:1

18Genome-wide CRISPR activation screen identifies candidate receptors for SARS-CoV-2 entry显示文摘The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) caused by SARS-CoV-2 has created a global health crisis. SARS-CoV-2 infects varieties of tissues where the known receptor ACE2 is low or almost absent, suggesting the existence of alternative viral entry pathways. Here, we performed a genome-wide barcoded-CRISPRa screen to identify novel host factors that enable SARS-CoV-2 infection. Beyond known host proteins, i.e., ACE2, TMPRSS2, and NRP1, we identified multiple host components,among which LDLRAD3, TMEM30A, and CLEC4G were confirmed as functional receptors for SARS-CoV-2. All these membrane proteins bind directly to spike’s N-terminal domain(NTD). Their essential and physiological roles have been confirmed in either neuron or liver cells. In particular, LDLRAD3 and CLEC4G mediate SARS-CoV-2 entry and infection in an ACE2-independent fashion.
