| 2 | The role of high mobility group box 1(HMGB1)in the pathogenesis of kidney diseases显示文摘High mobility group box 1(HMGB1) is a nuclear protein that can bind to DNA and act as a co-factor for gene transcription. When released into extracellular fluid, it plays a proinflammatory role by acting as a damage-associated molecular pattern molecule(DAMP)(also known as an alarmin) to initiate innate immune responses by activating multiple cell surface receptors such as the receptor for advanced glycation end-products(RAGE) and toll-like receptors(TLRs), TLR2, TLR4 or TLR9. This proinflammatory role is now considered to be important in the pathogenesis of a wide range of kidney diseases whether they result from hemodynamic changes, renal tubular epithelial cell apoptosis, kidney tissue fibrosis or inflammation. | 3 | LA-ICP-MS Zircon U-Pb Geochronology of Quartz Porphyry from the Niutougou Gold Deposit in Songxian County,Henan Province显示文摘The Niutougou gold deposit,located in the center of the Xiong'ershan gold district,western Henan Province,is a large gold deposit with many quartz porphyries found in the area.Based on the field geological investigation of quartz porphyry of Niutougou gold deposit and by using the cathodoluminescence(CL) images analysis and in situ LA-ICP-MS U-Pb isotope dating method of zircons,the inner structure,trace element compositions and U-Pb age of the zircons separated from quartz porphyry were analyzed and determined.Cathodoluminescence(CL) images of zircons show clear magmatic zonations.Trace element analyses of zircons reveal that all zircons show high concentrations of Th,U,and HREE,and the REE patterns of depletion in LREE,with a positive Ce anomaly.Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating results show that the quartz porphyry in the Niutougou gold deposit was formed at 159.71±0.99 Ma(about 160 Ma),belonging to the product of magmatic activity in late Middle Jurassic.Combined with the geological characteristics of the Niutougou gold deposit,the formation age of the quartz porphyry and the analysis of the formation age of the granite body exposed in the Niutougou gold deposit,the study suggests that the metallogenic epoch of the Niutougou gold deposit may be Yanshanian in age. | WANG Zhongliang GONG Qingjie SUN Xiang WU Fafu WANG Weixing | 2012 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,2: | 17 |

| 5 | Effect of glutarnate on inflammatory responses of intestine and brain after focal cerebral ischemia显示文摘AIM: To study the modulation of glutamate on post-ischemic intestinal and cerebral inflammatory responses in a ischemic and excitotoxic rat model.METHODS: Adult male rats were subjected to bilateral carotid artery occlusion for 15 min and injection of monosodium glutamate intraperitoneally, to decapitate them at selected time points. Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) level and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) activity were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA) and electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA), respectively.Hemodynamic parameters were monitored continuously during the whole process of cerebral ischemia and reperfusion.RESULTS: Monosodium glutamate (MSG) treated rats displayed statistically significant high levels of TNF-α in cerebral and intestinal tissuess within the first 6 h of ischemia. The rats with cerebral ischemia showed a minor decrease of TNF-α production in cerebral and intestinal tissuess. The rats with cerebral ischemia and treated with MSG displayed statistically significant low levels of TNF-α in cerebral and intestinal tissues. These results correlated significantly with NF-κB production calculated at the same intervals. During experiment, the mean blood pressure and heart rates in all groups were stable.CONCLUSION: Glutamate is involved in the mechanism of intestinal and cerebral inflammation responses. | 10 | Corrosion mechanism investigation of TiN/Ti coating and TC4 alloy for aircraft compressor application显示文摘It is imperative to develop multifunctional erosion and corrosion resistant coatings for compressor blades of aircraft engines in harsh environment.PVD(Physical Vapor Deposition)technology has the advances in processing erosion-resistant coatings;however,the performance of PVD coatings to combat corrosion depends on various coating defects.Determining and comparing the corrosion performances of PVD TiN/Ti coating and uncoated TC4 alloy was the main objective of present work.The 960 h salt spray corrosion and 116 h hot corrosion tests were conducted to simulate the grounding and working environments of the aircraft compressors.The corrosion mechanisms due to the coating defects such as pinhole,columnar boundary and large grain were analyzed based on the OM,Confocal microscope,electrochemical measurements,SEM,XRD and EDS results.Owing to the disordered state associated with the columnar boundary and the coating defect,nitrogen could be easily replaced by oxygen in the hot corrosion process,these structures were channels for fast diffusion of oxygen.Moreover,the Gibbs energy changes of Ti oxidation and TiN oxidation were thermodynamically calculated according to the working condition of aircraft compressors,and considerable research effort was focused on mapping out the phase diagram of Ti,TiN and high pressure gases.The findings of this research can provide insights into developing multifunctional coatings for future aircraft engines. | Zhiping SUN Guangyu HE Qingjie MENG Yuqin LI Xiaodong TIAN | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,6: | 11 |
| 11 | A two degree of freedom stable quasi-zero stiffness prototype and its applications in aseismic engineering显示文摘In this paper, an archetypal aseismic system is proposed with 2-degree of freedom based on a smooth and discontinuous(SD)oscillator to avoid the failure of electric power system under the complex excitation of seismic waves. This model comprises two vibration isolation units for the orthogonal horizontal directions, and each of them admits the stable quasi-zero stiffness(SQZS)with a pair of inclined linear elastic springs. The equation of motion is formulated by using Lagrange equation, and the SQZS condition is obtained by optimizing the parameters of the system. The analysis shows that the system behaves a remarkable vibration isolation performance with low resonant frequency and a large stroke of SQZS interval. | 12 | Is tailored therapy based on antibiotic susceptibility effective?A multicenter,open-label,randomized trial显示文摘An effective eradication therapy of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)should be used for the first time.In this study,we assessed whether tailored therapy based on antibiotic susceptibility testing is more effective than traditional therapy.We also evaluated the factors that cause treatment failure in high-resistance areas.For this multicenter trial,we recruited 467 H.pylori-positive patients.The patients were randomly assigned to receive tailored triple therapy(TATT),tailored bismuth-containing quadruple therapy(TABQT),or traditional bismuthcontaining quadruple therapy(TRBQT).For the TATT and TABQT groups,antibiotic selection proceeded via susceptibility testing using an agar-dilution test.The patients in the TRBQT group were given amoxicillin,clarithromycin,esomeprazole,and bismuth.Successful eradication was defined as a negative 13C-urea breath test at least eight weeks after the treatment ended.Susceptibility testing was conducted using an agar-dilution test.The eradication rate was examined via intention-to-treat(ITT)and per-protocol(PP)analyses.The clarithromycin,levofloxacin,and metronidazole resistance rates were 26.12%,28.69%,and 96.79%,respectively.Resistance against amoxicillin and furazolidone was rare.The eradication rates for TATT,TRBQT,and TABQT were 67.32%,63.69%,and 85.99%in the ITT analysis(P<0.001)and 74.64%,68.49%,and 91.22%in the PP analysis(P<0.001),respectively.The efficacy of TABQTwas affected by clarithromycin resistance,and bismuth exerted a direct influence on TATT failure.TABQT was the most efficacious regimen for use in high-resistance regions,especially among clarithromycin-susceptible patients. | Jie Pan Zhengchao Shi Dingsai Lin Ningmin Yang Fei Meng Lang Lin Zhencheng Jin Qingjie Zhou Jiansheng Wu Jianzhong Zhang Youming Li | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,1: | 10 |
| 13 | Calcite Dissolution in Deionized Water from 50℃ to 250℃ at 10 MPa:Rate Equation and Reaction Order显示文摘Carbonate minerals and water (or geofluids) reactions are important for modeling of geochemical processes and have received considerable attention over the past decades.The calcite dissolution rates from 50℃to 250℃at 10 MPa in deionized water with a flow rate varying from 0.2 to 5 mL/min were experimentally measured in a continuous flow column pressure vessel reactor.The dissolution began near the equilibrium with c/c_(eq)>0.3 and finally reached the equilibrium at 100℃-250℃,so the corresponding solubility was also determined as 1.87,2.02,2.02 and 1.88×10^(-4)·mol/L at 100℃,150℃,200℃and 250℃respectively,which was first increasing and then switching to decreasing with temperature and the maximum value might occur between 150℃and 200℃.The experimental dissolution rate not only increased with temperature,but also had a rapid increase between 150℃and 200℃at a constant flow rate of 4 mL/min.The measured dissolution rates can be described using rate equations of R=k(1-c/c_(eq))n or R=kc^(-n).In these equations the reaction order n changed with temperature,which indicates that n was a variable rather than a constant,and the activation energy was 13.4 kJ/mol calculated with R=k(1-c/c_(eq))~n or 18.0 k J/mol with R=kc^(-n),which is a little lower than the surface controlled values.The varied reaction order and lower activation energy indicates that calcite dissolution in this study is a complex interplay of diffusion controlled and surface controlled processes. | GONG Qingjie DENG Jun WANG Qingfei YANG Liqiang SHE Min | 2008 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2008,82,5: | 9 |
| 14 | New discoveries on the effects of desertification on the ground temperature of permafrost and its significance to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘The desert and permafrost conditions of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are unique.However,the effects of desertification on the ground temperature of permafrost are currently unclear.Recently,understanding this problem has become more urgent because of increasing desertification on the plateau.For this reason,an observational field experiment was undertaken by the authors at Honglianghe on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.Thermistor ground temperature probes were used,and synchronized contrasting observations were made in an open area.Observations of the ground temperature of permafrost below sand layers with a range of thicknesses were made from May 2010 to April 2011.The sand layers were found to play a key role in the protection of the underlying permafrost.The ground temperature below a permafrost table overlain by a thick sand layer was lower than that of the average annual temperature for the natural ground surface,and the temperature drop was roughly constant at 0.2°C.During the warmer part of the year (May to September),the maximum temperature drops over the five months were 3.40,3.72,4.85,3.16,and 1.88°C,respectively.The ground temperature near a permafrost table overlain by a thin sand layer was also lower than that of the average annual temperature for the natural ground surface.However,in this case the average of the annual maximum temperature drop was significantly less,0.71°C.The scientific significance of our preliminary conclusions is not only to present an exploration of the interaction between desertification and permafrost,but also to provide new engineering ideas for protecting the permafrost in regions where construction is required on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. | XIE ShengBo QU JianJun ZU RuiPing ZHANG KeCun HAN QingJie | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,8: | 8 |

| 17 | Grain boundary engineering with nano-scale InSb producing high performance In_(x)Ce_(y)Co_(4)Sb_(12+z)skutterudite thermoelectrics显示文摘Thermoelectric semiconductors based on CoSb_(3)hold the best promise for recovering industrial or automotive waste heat because of their high efficiency and relatively abundant,lead-free constituent elements.However,higher efficiency is needed before thermoelectrics reach economic viability for widespread use.In this study,n-type In_(x)Ce_(y)Co_(4)Sb_(12+z)skutterudites with high thermoelectric performance are produced by combining several phonon scattering mechanisms in a panoscopic synthesis.Using melt spinning followed by spark plasma sintering(MS-SPS),bulk In_(x)Ce_(y)Co_(4)Sb_(12+z)alloys are formed with grain boundaries decorated with nano-phase of InSb.The skutterudite matrix has grains on a scale of 100-200 nm and the InSb nano-phase with a typical size of 5e15 nm is evenly dispersed at the grain boundaries of the skutterudite matrix.Coupled with the presence of defects on the Sb sublattice,this multi-scale nanometer structure is exceptionally effective in scattering phonons and,therefore,InxCey-Co_(4)Sb_(12)/InSb nano-composites have very low lattice thermal conductivity and high zT values reaching in excess of 1.5 at 800 K. | Han Li Xianli Su Xinfeng Tang Qingjie Zhang Ctirad Uher G.Jeffrey Snyder Umut Aydemir | 2017 | Journal of Materiomics2017,3,4: | 7 |

| 19 | Effects of key design parameters of tine furrow opener on soil seedbed properties显示文摘The structural parameters of tine furrow openers have significant effects on soil property of seed furrow in no-till planting,thereby affecting crop growth and yields.In order to analyze the effects of key parameters of tine furrow openers on soil properties(soil bulk density,soil water-stable aggregates(WSA),and soil disturbance)of the surface soil layer of 0-10 cm and surface straw disturbance,the tine furrow openers with different structural parameters,including cutting edge thickness,cutting edge curve,penetration clearance angle and rake angle,were designed and tested under no-till conditions.Orthogonal test and single factor test were performed to analyze the effects of different parameters.Results showed that the rake angle,cutting edge thickness and cutting edge curve had significant effects on cross-sectional area of furrow(Af)and disturbance of surface straw;the rake angle had a significant effect on soil bulk density.Soil types and operating depth had significant effects on soil disturbance caused by tine furrow openers.The concave type tine furrow opener produced the lowest soil disturbance and soil bulk density of seed furrow,the highest surface straw disturbance and the greatest content of WSA(>0.5 mm).With increasing rake angles of tine furrow opener,the width of seedbed(Wsb)and the Af decreased first and then increased,respectively,while the width of soil throw(Wst)and the height of ridge(Hr)increased.The Wsb and Af created by tine furrow opener with 60°rake angle were significantly lower than that with others,respectively.The tine furrow opener with rake angle ranged from 45°to 60°created the lowest soil bulk density.As the penetration clearance angle increased,the content of WSA(>0.5 mm)decreased,but the effect of penetration clearance angle on the content of WSA(<0.5 mm)was not significant.The cutting edge thickness(<2 mm)had no significant effects on soil properties of seedbed.This study could provide a reference for optimal design of the tine furrow opener to create more suitable seedbed environment,and promote the application of the light no-till planters. | Zhang Xiangcai Li Hongwen Du Ruicheng Ma Shaochun He Jin Wang Qingjie Chen Wanzhi Zheng Zhiqi Zhang Zhiqiang | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,3: | 7 |
| 20 | OsMKKK70 regulates grain size and leaf angle in rice through the OsMKK4-OsMAPK6-OsWRKY53 signaling pathway显示文摘Grain size and leaf angle are key agronomic traits that determine final yields in rice.However,the underlying molecular mechanisms are not well understood.Here we demonstrate that the Oryza sativa Mitogen Activated Protein Kinase Kinase Kinase OsMKKK70 regulates grain size and leaf angle in rice.Overexpressing OsMKKK70 caused plants to produce longer seeds.The osmkkk62/70 double mutant and the osmkkk55/62/70 triple mutant displayed significantly smaller seeds and a more erect leaf angle compared to the wild type,indicating that OsMKKK70 functions redundantly with its homologs Os MKKK62 and Os MKKK55.Biochemical analysis demonstrated that OsMKKK70 is an active kinase and that OsMKKK70 interacts with Os MKK4 and promotes Os MAPK6 phosphorylation.In addition,the osmkkk62/70 double mutant showed reduced sensitivity to Brassinosteroids(BRs).Finally,overexpressing constitutively active Os MKK4,Os MAPK6,and Os WRKY53 can partially complement the smaller seed size,erect leaf,and BR hyposensitivity of the osmkkk62/70 double mutant.Taken together,these findings suggest that OsMKKK70 might regulate grain size and leaf angle in rice by activating Os MAPK6 and that OsMKKK70,Os MKK4,Os MAPK6,and Os WRKY53 function in a common signaling pathway that controls grain shape and leaf angle. | Zhiqi Liu Enyang Mei Xiaojie Tian Mingliang He Jiaqi Tang Min Xu Jiali Liu Lu Song Xiufeng Li Zhenyu Wang Qingjie Guan Qijiang Xu Qingyun Bu | 2021 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,12: | 6 |
