1The combined genotypes effect of ESR and FSHβ genes on litter size traits in five different pig breeds显示文摘Estrogen receptor (ESR) and Follicular-stimula-ting hormone beta subunit (FSHβ) genes were chosen as candidates to determine whether they control litter size and some other reproductive traits in swine. 269 sows from five different pig breeds were genotyped by an established PCR-RFLPs protocol at both ESR and FSHβ loci. The effects of both ESR and FSHβ on pig reproductive traits, including total number born (TNB) and number born alive (NBA), are analyzed by SAS software (version 6.12). These computation results demonstrated that both ESR locus and FSHβ locus are the major genes influencing litter size in pigs. The sows of BBBB combined genotype of ESR and FSHβ loci generally produce 1.85-3.01 TNB and 2.0-3.0 NBA more than those of ABAA combined genotype. The notable effect of ESR locus and FSHβ locus on litter size of pigs have made it possible to improve the pig reproduction by Marker-assisted selection (MAS). 2Is tailored therapy based on antibiotic susceptibility effective?A multicenter,open-label,randomized trial显示文摘An effective eradication therapy of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)should be used for the first time.In this study,we assessed whether tailored therapy based on antibiotic susceptibility testing is more effective than traditional therapy.We also evaluated the factors that cause treatment failure in high-resistance areas.For this multicenter trial,we recruited 467 H.pylori-positive patients.The patients were randomly assigned to receive tailored triple therapy(TATT),tailored bismuth-containing quadruple therapy(TABQT),or traditional bismuthcontaining quadruple therapy(TRBQT).For the TATT and TABQT groups,antibiotic selection proceeded via susceptibility testing using an agar-dilution test.The patients in the TRBQT group were given amoxicillin,clarithromycin,esomeprazole,and bismuth.Successful eradication was defined as a negative 13C-urea breath test at least eight weeks after the treatment ended.Susceptibility testing was conducted using an agar-dilution test.The eradication rate was examined via intention-to-treat(ITT)and per-protocol(PP)analyses.The clarithromycin,levofloxacin,and metronidazole resistance rates were 26.12%,28.69%,and 96.79%,respectively.Resistance against amoxicillin and furazolidone was rare.The eradication rates for TATT,TRBQT,and TABQT were 67.32%,63.69%,and 85.99%in the ITT analysis(P<0.001)and 74.64%,68.49%,and 91.22%in the PP analysis(P<0.001),respectively.The efficacy of TABQTwas affected by clarithromycin resistance,and bismuth exerted a direct influence on TATT failure.TABQT was the most efficacious regimen for use in high-resistance regions,especially among clarithromycin-susceptible patients.Jie Pan Zhengchao Shi Dingsai Lin Ningmin Yang Fei Meng Lang Lin Zhencheng Jin Qingjie Zhou Jiansheng Wu Jianzhong Zhang Youming Li 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,1:10
3Research Progress on Evaluation Frameworks of Regional Ecological Sustainability显示文摘As natural ecosystems provide the material basis and fundamental support for regional sustainable devel-opment,the sustainability of natural ecosystems is an important prerequisite and a viable approach for the achievement of regional sustainable development.It is also the final criteria to assess whether sustainable development paradigm is successful.Along with the increasing impacts of human activities on natural ecosystems,the evaluation of regional ecological sustainability has become one of the key issues for research on macro ecology and sustainable development.Based on different unit of indicators,this study firstly groups the evaluation frameworks of regional ecological sus-tainability into three major types:comprehensive index evaluation with dimensionless unit,monetary valuation,and biophysical quantity measurement.We then discuss and compare these types in terms of basic principles,scope of ap-plications,advantages and shortcomings.Finally,drawn on the discussion about characteristics of ecological sustain-ability,we outline the current trend and future directions of regional ecological sustainability evaluation,for instance,transition from sustainable development evaluation to sustainability science,integration of goal-oriented and problem-solving approaches,combination of spatial pattern analysis and ecological sustainability evaluation,and en-hancement of ecological sustainability evaluation at landscape scale.PENG Jian WANG Yanglin WU Jiansheng SHEN Hong PAN Yajing 2011Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,4:9
4Will polycentric cities cause more CO2 emissions? A case study of 232 Chinese cities显示文摘From 2000 to 2010 China experienced rapid economic development and urbanization.Many cities in economically developed areas have developed from a single-center status to polycentricity.In this study,we used exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) to identify the population centers,which identified 232 cities in China as having urban centers.COMP was used to represent urban agglomeration,and POLYD (representing how far is the city’s sub-centers to the main center),POLYC (representing the number of a city’s centers),and POLYP (representing the population distributed between the main center and the sub-centers) were used to indicate urban polycentricity.Night light data were used to determine the CO2 emissions from various cities in China.A mixed model was used to study the impact of urban aggregation and polycentric data on the CO2 emission efficiency in 2000 and 2010.The study found that cities with higher compactness were distributed in coastal areas,and the cities with higher multicentricity were distributed in the Yangtze River Delta and Shandong Province.The more compact the city was,the less conducive it was to improving CO2 emission efficiency.Polycentric development of the city was conducive to improving the CO2 emission efficiency,but the number of urban centers had no significant relationship with the CO2 emission efficiency.Our research showed that the compactness and multicentricity of the city had an impact on the CO2 emission efficiency and provided some planning suggestions for the low carbon development of the city.Wei Sha Ying Chen Jiansheng Wu Zhenyu Wang 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,10:9
5Simultaneous pyridine biodegradation and nitrogen removal in an aerobic granular system显示文摘Simultaneous pyridine biodegradation and nitrogen removal were successfully achieved in a sequencing batch reactor(SBR) based on aerobic granules. In a typical SBR cycle, nitritation occurred obviously after the majority of pyridine was removed, while denitrification occurred at early stage of the cycle when oxygen consumption was aggravated. The effect of several key operation parameters, i.e., air flow rate, influent NH_4^+-N concentration,influent p H and pyridine concentration, on nitritation, pyridine degradation and total nitrogen(TN) removal, was systematically investigated. The results indicated that high air flow rate had a positive effect on both pyridine degradation and nitritation but a negative impact of overhigh air flow rate. With the increase of NH_4^+ dosage, both nitritation and TN removal could be severely inhibited. Slightly alkaline condition, i.e., pH 7.0–8.0, was beneficial for both pyridine degradation and nitritation. High pyridine dosage often resulted in the delay of both pyridine degradation and nitritation. Besides, extracellular polymeric substances production was affected by air flow rate, NH_4^+ dosage, pyridine dosage and p H.In addition, high-throughput sequencing analysis demonstrated that Bdellovibrio and Paracoccus were the dominant species in the aerobic granulation system. 6Spatial Process of Green Infrastructure Changes Associated with Rapid Urbanization in Shenzhen,China显示文摘Through a case study of Shenzhen City,China,this study focused on a quantitative method for analyzing the spatial processes involved in green infrastructure changes associated with rapid urbanization.Based on RS,GIS and SPSS statistics software,the approach includes selection of the square analysis units and representative landscape metrics,quantification of the change types of landscape metrics in all analysis units through two indices and hierarchical cluster analysis of the above analysis units with different landscape metric change types(i.e.spatial attributes).The analyses verify that there is a significant sequence of continuous changes in green infrastructure in Shenzhen.They are the perforation,the segmentation,the fragmentation,the evanescence and the filling-in processes,which have a good spatio-temporal correspondence with urbanization and reflect the synthetic influence of urban planning,government policies and landforms.Compared with other studies on quantifying the spatial pattern,this study provides an alternative probe into linking the spatial pattern to spatial processes and the corresponding ecological processes in the future.These spatio-temporal processes offer many opportunities for identifying,protecting and restoring key elements in an urban green infrastructure network for areas in the early stages of urbanization or for non-urbanized areas.CHANG Qing LI Shuangcheng WANG Yanglin WU Jiansheng XIE Miaomiao 2013Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,1:6
7Detection of quantitative trait loci and heterotic loci for plant height using an immortalized F_2 population in maize显示文摘A set of recombinant inbred lines (RIL) derived from Yuyu22, an elite hybrid widespread in China, was used to construct an immortalized F2 (IF2) population comprising 441 different crosses. Genetic linkage maps were constructed containing 10 linkages groups with 263 simple sequence repeat (SSR) molecular markers. Twelve and ten quantitative trait loci (QTL) were detected for plant height in the IF2 and RIL populations respectively, using the composite interval mapping method, and six same QTL were identified in the two populations. In addition, ten unique heterotic loci (HL) located on seven different chromosomes were revealed for plant height using the mid-parent heterosis as the input data. These HL explained 1.26%―8.41% of the genotypic variance in plant height heterosis and most expressed overdominant effects. 9Three Tiaobu Feishen therapies protect human alveolar epithelial cells against cigarette smoking and tumor necrosis factor-mlear factor-kappa B pathwayα-induced inflamation by nuc显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy of Tiaobu Feishen formulae(TBFS), including Bufei Jianpi formula(BJF), Bufei Yishen formula(BYF), and Yiqi Zishen formula(YZF), on inflammatory response, protease-anti-protease imbalance and collagen deposition in rats.METHODS: In present work, we used an in vitro model of cigarette smoking extract(CSE)-and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)-induced A549 cellsto examine the efficacy of BJF, BYF and YZF on the production of inflammatory cytokines, including TNF-α and interleukin(IL)-8, IL-6, matrix metalloproteinases(MMP)-9, and IL-10 in CSE or TNF-ls. And their related transcripα-induced A549 celtion factors and signaling pathway were also analyzed.RESULTS: The results showed that BJF, BYF and YZF could significantly decrease the expression levels of the pro-inflammatory cytokines induced by CSE or TNF-α. Furthermore, BJF, BYF and YZF could suppress CSE-or TNF-α-induced activation of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB) transcription factors and its corresponding pathways. Taken together, these data implied that BJF, BYF and YZF effectively inhibited CSE-or TNF-α-induced inflammatory response in alveolar epithelial cell, which was due to their inhibition effect on NF-κB pathways.CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that the Tiaobu Feishen therapies may protect human alveolar epithelial cells against cigarette smoking and TNF-α-induced inflammation. 12A temperature responsive adhesive hydrogel for fabrication of flexible electronic sensors显示文摘Flexible electronics are playing an increasingly important role in human health monitoring and healthcare diagnosis.Strong adhesion on human tissue would be ideal for reducing interface resistance and motion artifacts,but arising problems such as skin irritation,rubefaction,and pain upon device removal have hampered their utility.Here,inspired by the temperature reversibility of hydrogen bonding,a skin-friendly conductive hydrogel with multiple-hydrogen bonds was designed by using biocompatible poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA),phytic acid(PA),and gelatin(Gel).The obtained PVA/PA/Gel(PPG)hydrogel with temperature-triggered tunable mechanic could reliably adhere to skin and detect electrophysiological signals under a hot compress while be readily removed under a cool compress.Furthermore,the additional advantages of transparency,breathability,and antimicrobial activity of the PPG hydrogel ensure its long-time wearable value on the skin.It is both environmentally friendly and cost saving for the waste PPG hydrogel during production can be recycled based on their reversible physical bonding.The PPG hydrogel sensor is expected to have good application prospects to record electrophysiological signals in human health monitoring.Wan Liu Ruijie Xie Jingyu Zhu Jiansheng Wu Junfeng Hui Xiaoyan Zheng Fengwei Huo Daidi Fan 2022npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1:2
13Controlled 2D growth of organic semiconductor crystals by suppressing “coffee-ring” effect显示文摘Owing to enhanced charge transport efficiency arising from the ultrathin nature,two-dimensional(2D)organic semiconductor single crystals(OSSCs)are emerging as a fascinating platform for high-performance organic field-effect transistors(OFETs).However,ucoffee-ring'effect induced by an evaporation-induced convective flow near the contact line hinders the large-area growth of 2D OSSCs through a solution process.Here,we develop a new strategy of suppressing the'coffee-ring'effect by using an organic semiconductor:polymer blend solution.With the high-viscosity polymer in the organic solution,the evaporation-induced flow is remarkably weakened,ensuring the uniform molecule spreading for the 2D growth of the OSSCs.As an example,wafer-scale growth of crystalline film consisting of few-layered 2,7-didecylbenzothienobenzothiophene(C10-BTBT)crystals was successfully accomplished via blade coating.OFETs based on the crystalline film exhibited a maximum hole mobility up to 12.6 cm^2·V^-1·s^-1,along with an average hole mobility as high as 8.2 cm^2·V^-1·s^-1.Our work provides a promising strategy for the large-area growth of 2D OSSCs toward high-performance organic electronics.Wei Wang Bei Lu Wei Deng Xiujuan Zhang Zhengjun Lu Di Wu Jiansheng Jie Xiaohong Zhang 2020Nano Research2020,13,9:2
