| 1 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 3 | Famitinib in combination with concurrent chemoradiotherapy in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma: a phase 1, open-label, dose-escalation Study显示文摘Background:Famitinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor against multiple targets,including vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2/3,platelet-derived growth factor receptor,and stem cell factor receptor(c-kit).Previous studies have demonstrated anti-tumour activities of famitinib against a wide variety of advanced-stage solid cancers.We aimed to determine the safety and efficacy of famitinib with concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCRT)in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).We also evaluated the feasibility of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(D-CEUS)as a predictor of early tumour response to famitinib and to correlate functional parameters with clinical efficacy.Methods:The trial was conducted in subjects with stage III or IVa-b NPC using a 3+3 design of escalating fami-tinib doses.Briefly,subjects received 2 weeks of famitinib monotherapy followed by 7 weeks of famitinib plus CCRT.D-CEUS of the neck lymph nodes was performed at day 0,8 and 15 after famitinib was administered before starting concurrent chemoradiotherapy.End points included safety,tolerability and anti-tumour activity.Results:Twenty patients were enrolled(six each for 12.5,16.5 and 20 mg and two for 25 mg).Two patients in the 25 mg cohort developed dose-limiting toxicities,including grade 4 thrombocytopenia and grade 3 hypertension.The most common grade 3/4 adverse events were leukopenia,neutropenia and radiation mucositis.D-CEUS tests showed that more than 60%of patients achieved a perfusion parameter response after 2 weeks taking famitinib alone,and the parameter response was associated with disease improvement.In the famitinib monotherapy stage,three patients(15%)showed partial responses.The complete response rate was 65%at the completion of treatment and 95%3 months after the treatment ended.After a median follow-up of 44 months,the 3-year progression-free survival(PFS)and distant metastasis-free survival were 70%and 75%,respectively.Subjects with a decrease of perfusion parameter response,such as peak intensity decreased at least 30%after 1 week of famitinib treatment,had higher 3-year PFS(90.9%vs.44.4%,95%CI 73.7%-100%vs.11.9%-76.9%,P<0.001)than those with an increase or a reduction of less than 30%.Conclusions:The recommended famitinib dose for phase II trial is 20 mg with CCRT for patients with local advanced NPC.D-CEUS is a reliable and early measure of efficacy for famitinib therapies.Further investigation is required to confirm the effects of famitinib plus chemoradiotherapy. | Qiuyan Chen Linquan Tang Na Liu Feng Han Ling Guo Shanshan Guo Jianwei Wang Huai Liu Yanfang Ye Lu Zhang Liting Liu Pan Wang Yingqin Li Qingmei He Xiaoqun Yang Qingnan Tang Yang Li YuJing Liang XueSong Sun Chuanmiao Xie Yunxian Mo Ying Guo Rui Sun Haoyuan Mo Kajia Cao Xiang Guo Musheng Zeng Haiqiang Mai Jun Ma | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 6 |

| 5 | PbGA2ox8 induces vascular-related anthocyanin accumulation and contributes to red stripe formation on pear fruit显示文摘Fruit with stripes,which are generally longitudinal,can occur naturally,but the bioprocesses underlying this phenomenon are unclear.Previously,we observed an atypical anthocyanin distribution that caused red-striped fruit on the spontaneous pear bud sport“Red Zaosu”(Pyrus bretschneideri Rehd.).In this study,comparative transcriptome analysis of the sport and wild-type“Zaosu”revealed that this atypical anthocyanin accumulation was tightly correlated with abnormal overexpression of the gene-encoding gibberellin(GA)2-beta-dioxygenase 8,PbGA2ox8.Consistently,decreased methylation was also observed in the promoter region of PbGA2ox8 from“Red Zaosu”compared with“Zaosu”.Moreover,the GA levels in“Red Zaosu”seedlings were lower than those in“Zaosu”seedlings,and the application of exogenous GA4 reduced abnormal anthocyanin accumulation in“Red Zaosu”.Transient overexpression of PbGA2ox8 reduced the GA4 level and caused anthocyanin accumulation in pear fruit skin.Moreover,the presence of red stripes indicated anthocyanin accumulation in the hypanthial epidermal layer near vascular branches(VBs)in“Red Zaosu”.Transient overexpression of PbGA2ox8 resulting from vacuum infiltration induced anthocyanin accumulation preferentially in calcium-enriched areas near the vascular bundles in pear leaves.We propose a fruit-striping mechanism,in which the abnormal overexpression of PbGA2ox8 in“Red Zaosu”induces the formation of a longitudinal array of anthocyanin stripes near vascular bundles in fruit. | Rui Zhai Zhigang Wang Chengquan Yang Kui Lin-Wang Richard Espley Jianlong Liu Xieyu Li Zhongying Wu Pengmin Li Qingmei Guan Fengwang Ma Lingfei Xu | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 5 |
| 6 | Effects of Different Covering Ways on Emergence Rate of Sophora japonica L.Afforested by Direct Seeding显示文摘In order to maintain higher emergence rate with direct seeding in Shandong rocky mountain, effects of different covering ways on emergence rate of Sophora japonica L. direct seeding were studied. The results showed that both mulching film and grass cover could effectively increase the moisture content of the soil at the depth of 0-30 cm, contributing to soil moisture conservation and the inhibition of soil evaporation, which created favorable moisture environment for the growth of S. japonica seeds. Both the emergence rate and the seedling height under mulching film had greater improvement and partly enhanced by 26.65% and 6.85 cm respectively, and mulching film also helped S. japonica seeds emerge and ensured the seedling growth. The emergence rate and the seedling height under grass cover had been also raised in some degree, but they were much worse than those under mulching film. The emergence rate and the seedling height under block cover were not significantly increased. | 7 | Characterization of γ-Fe_2O_3 nanoparticles prepared by transformation of α-FeOOH显示文摘γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by a chemically induced transformation of α-FeOOH.In this method,the precursor(α-FeOOH)was prepared by chemical precipitation,and then treated with a mixed FeCl2/NaOH solution to produce the nanoparticles.X-ray diffraction indicated that when the precursor was treated with FeCl2(0.22 mol/L)and NaOH(0.19 mol/L),pure γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were obtained.However,when the concentration of FeCl2 was<0.22 mol/L or the concentration of NaOH was<0.19 mol/L,α-FeOOH and γ-Fe2O3 phases co-existed in the nanoparticles.Transmission electron microscopy observations showed that in the samples with co-existing phases,the nanoparticles did not have identical morphologies.The pure γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles were polygonal rather than spherical.The volume ratio of α-FeOOH and γ-Fe2O3 was estimated for the two-phase samples from magnetization data obtained from a vibrating sample magnetometer.This chemically induced transformation is novel,and could provide an effective route for the synthesis of other metal oxide nanocrystallites. | MIAO Hua LI Jian LIN YueQiang LIU XiaoDong ZHANG QingMei FU Jun | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,22: | 4 |

| 9 | Development of a high-density SSR genetic linkage map in sweet potato显示文摘Simple sequence repeat(SSR) markers have been proved to be a very powerful tool for quantitative trait locus(QTL) mapping, marker-assisted selection and comparative genomics research in many crop species. However, a high-density SSR genetic linkage map is still lacking because there are only a few SSR markers available in sweet potato. In this study, a total of 2545 simple sequence repeat(SSR) primer pairs, including 1215 genomic SSR(gSSR) primer pairs and 1330 BES-SSR(bSSR) primer pairs designed from the genome sequence and BAC-end sequence of sweet potato, respectively, were screened with sweet potato cultivars Luoxushu 8 and Zhengshu 20 and their randomly sampled two F1 individuals and 571 of them generated polymorphic bands. The selected 571 polymorphic SSR primer pairs and 35 EST-based SSR(eSSR) primer pairs developed at our laboratory were used to genotype 240 F1 individuals derived from a cross between Luoxushu 8 and Zhengshu 20. A double pseudo-test-cross strategy was applied for linkage analysis. The Luoxushu 8 map included 90 linkage groups with 5057 SSR markers and covered 13,299.9 cM with a marker density of 2.6 cM, and the Zhengshu 20 map contained 90 linkage groups with 3009 SSR markers and covered 11,122.9 cM with a marker density of 3.7 cM. Fifteen homologous groups were identified in both parent maps. | 14 | Discrimination of signal oscillations in the in vitro olfactory bulb with microelectrode array显示文摘The aim of the present study was to investigate the electrophysiological characteristics of the different layers of the olfactory bulb (OB). We used an in vitro OB slice coupled onto a microelectrode array (MEA) for simultaneous detection of spontaneous activities of OB neurons at different sites. Different frequency oscillations dominated the different layers of the OB slice, and the gamma frequency oscillations mainly appeared in the glomerular layer. The waves consisted of negative, positive, and bidirectional spikes, and were distributed at the different layers of the OB slice.
