| 1 | Genesis of the Bangbu Orogenic Gold Deposit, Tibet: Evidence from Fluid Inclusion, Stable Isotopes, and Ar-Ar Geochronology显示文摘The Bangbu gold deposit is a large orogenic gold deposit in Tibet formed during the AlpineHimalayan collision. Ore bodies(auriferous quartz veins) are controlled by the E-W-trending Qusong-Cuogu-Zhemulang brittle-ductile shear zone. Quartz veins at the deposit can be divided into three types: pre-metallogenic hook-like quartz veins, metallogenic auriferous quartz veins, and postmetallogenic N-S quartz veins. Four stages of mineralization in the auriferous quartz veins have been identified:(1) Stage S1 quartz+coarse-grained sulfides,(2) Stage S2 gold+fine-grained sulfides,(3) Stage S3 quartz+carbonates, and(4) Stage S4 quartz+ greigite. Fluid inclusions indicate the oreforming fluid was CO_2-N_2-CH_4 rich with homogenization temperatures of 170–261°C, salinities 4.34–7.45 wt% Na Cl equivalent. δ^(18)Ofluid(3.98‰–7.18‰) and low δDV-SMOW(-90‰ to-44‰) for auriferous quartz veins suggest ore-forming fluids were mainly metamorphic in origin, with some addition of organic matter. Quartz vein pyrite has δ^(34)SV-CDT values of 1.2‰–3.6‰(an average of 2.2‰), whereas pyrite from phyllite has δ^(34)SV-CDT 5.7‰–9.9‰(an average of 7.4‰). Quartz vein pyrites yield 206Pb/204 Pb ratios of 18.662–18.764, 207Pb/204 Pb 15.650–15.683, and ^(208)Pb/204 Pb 38.901–39.079. These isotopic data indicate Bangbu ore-forming materials were probably derived from the Langjiexue accretionary wedge. 40Ar/39 Ar ages for sericite from auriferous sulfide-quartz veins yield a plateau age of 49.52 ± 0.52 Ma, an isochron age of 50.3 ± 0.31 Ma, suggesting that auriferous veins were formed during the main collisional period of the Tibet-Himalayan orogen(~65–41 Ma). | PEI Yingru SUN Qingzhong ZHENG Yuanchuan YANG Zhusen LI Wei HUANG Kexian | 2016 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2016,90,2: | 12 |
| 2 | Lowering the energy consumption in silicon photonic devices and systems [Invited]显示文摘We review current silicon photonic devices and their performance in connection with energy consumption.Four critical issues are identified to lower energy consumption in devices and systems: reducing the influence of the thermo-optic effect, increasing the wall-plug efficiency of lasers on silicon, optimizing energy performance of modulators, and enhancing the sensitivity of photodetectors. Major conclusions are(1) Mach–Zehnder interferometer-based devices can achieve athermal performance without any extra energy consumption while microrings do not have an efficient passive athermal solution;(2) while direct bonded III–V-based Si lasers can meet system power requirement for now, hetero-epitaxial grown III–V quantum dot lasers are competitive and may be a better option for the future;(3) resonant modulators, especially coupling modulators, are promising for low-energy consumption operation even when the power to stabilize their operation is included;(4) benefiting from high sensitivity and low cost, Ge/Si avalanche photodiode is the most promising photodetector and can be used to effectively reduce the optical link power budget. | 5 | Chromosome-scale genome assembly of sweet cherry(Prunus avium L.)cv.Tieton obtained using long-read and Hi-C sequencing显示文摘Sweet cherry(Prunus avium)is an economically significant fruit species in the genus Prunus.However,in contrast to other important fruit trees in this genus,only one draft genome assembly is available for sweet cherry,which was assembled using only Illumina short-read sequences.The incompleteness and low quality of the current sweet cherry draft genome limit its use in genetic and genomic studies.A high-quality chromosome-scale sweet cherry reference genome assembly is therefore needed.A total of 65.05 Gb of Oxford Nanopore long reads and 46.24 Gb of Illumina short reads were generated,representing~190x and 136x coverage,respectively,of the sweet cherry genome.The final de novo assembly resulted in a phased haplotype assembly of 344.29 Mb with a contig N50 of 3.25 Mb.Hi-C scaffolding of the genome resulted in eight pseudochromosomes containing 99.59%of the bases in the assembled genome.Genome annotation revealed that more than half of the genome(59.40%)was composed of repetitive sequences,and 40,338 protein-coding genes were predicted,75.40%of which were functionally annotated.With the chromosomescale assembly,we revealed that gene duplication events contributed to the expansion of gene families for salicylic acid/jasmonic acid carboxyl methyltransferase and ankyrin repeat-containing proteins in the genome of sweet cherry.Four auxin-responsive genes(two GH3s and two SAURs)were induced in the late stage of fruit development,indicating that auxin is crucial for the sweet cherry ripening process.In addition,772 resistance genes were identified and functionally predicted in the sweet cherry genome.The high-quality genome assembly of sweet cherry obtained in this study will provide valuable genomic resources for sweet cherry improvement and molecular breeding. | Jiawei Wang Weizhen Liu Dongzi Zhu Po Hong Shizhong Zhang Shijun Xiao Yue Tan Xin Chen Li Xu Xiaojuan Zong Lisi Zhang Hairong Wei Xiaohui Yuan Qingzhong Liu | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 4 |
| 6 | Synergic Mechanism of an Organic Corrosion Inhibitor for Preventing Carbon Steel Corrosion in Chloride Solution显示文摘The inhibition effect of dimethylethanolamine(DMEA) and its composite with carboxylic acid was studied with the electrochemical tests. The experimental results indicate that DMEA is not a good inhibitor but the composite of DMEA with caprylic acid exhibits excellent inhibiting efficiency. The synergic mechanism of the organic corrosion inhibitors(OCIs) was studied with quantum chemical calculations. It is found that the DMEA forms a quaternary ammonium salt with the proton in carboxylic acid, and a cyclic complex formed between the salt and Fe may be responsible for the enhancement of inhibiting efficiency. The possible hydrogen bond formed between DMEA and carboxylic acid is not enough for the inhibiting effect. | 7 | Heterogeneous Network-Based Chronic Disease Progression Mining显示文摘Healthcare insurance fraud has caused billions of dollars in losses in public healthcare funds around the world. In particular, healthcare insurance fraud in chronic diseases is especially rampant. Understanding disease progression can help investigators detect healthcare insurance frauds early on. Existing disease progression methods often ignore complex relations, such as the time-gap and pattern of disease occurrence. They also do not take into account the different medication stages of the same chronic disease, which is of great help when conducting healthcare insurance fraud detection and reducing healthcare costs. In this paper, we propose a heterogeneous network-based chronic disease progression mining method to improve the current understanding on the progression of chronic diseases, including orphan diseases. The method also considers the different medication stages of the same chronic disease. | 16 | Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C.
