1Erianin,a novel dibenzyl compound in Dendrobium extract,inhibits lung cancer cell growth and migration via calcium/calmodulin-dependent ferroptosis显示文摘Ferroptosis,a novel form of programmed cell death,is characterized by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and has been shown to be involved in multiple diseases,including cancer.Stimulating ferroptosis in cancer cells may be a potential strategy for cancer therapy.Therefore,ferroptosis-inducing drugs are attracting more attention for cancer treatment.Here,we showed that erianin,a natural product isolated from Dendrobium chrysotoxum Lindl,exerted its anticancer activity by inducing cell death and inhibiting cell migration in lung cancer cells.Subsequently,we demonstrated for the first time that erianin induced ferroptotic cell death in lung cancer cells,which was accompanied by ROS accumulation,lipid peroxidation,and GSH depletion.The ferroptosis inhibitors Fer-1 and Lip-1 but not Z-VAD-FMK,CQ,or necrostatin-1 rescued erianin-induced cell death,indicating that ferroptosis contributed to erianin-induced cell death.Furthermore,we demonstrated that Ca^(2+)/CaM signaling was a critical mediator of erianin-induced ferroptosis and that blockade of this signaling significantly rescued cell death induced by erianin treatment by suppressing ferroptosis.Taken together,our data suggest that the natural product erianin exerts its anticancer effects by inducing Ca^(2+)/CaMdependent ferroptosis and inhibiting cell migration,and erianin will hopefully serve as a prospective compound for lung cancer treatment.Peng Chen Qibiao Wu Jiao Feng Lili Yan Yitian Sun Shuiping Liu Yu Xiang Mingming Zhang Ting Pan Xiaying Chen Ting Duan Lijuan Zhai Bingtao Zhai Wengang Wang Ruonan Zhang Bi Chen Xuemeng Han Yicong Li Liuxi Chen Ying Liu Xingxing Huang Ting Jin Wenzheng Zhang Hong Luo Xiaohui Chen Yongqiang Li Qiujie Li Guohua Li Qin Zhang Lvjia Zhuo Zuyi Yang Huifen Tang Tian Xie Xiaoping Ouyang Xinbing Sui 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:42

3Delay model of signalized roundabouts显示文摘In order to evaluate the service level of roundaboutsintuitively, a new delay model of signalized roundabouts isestablished. According to traffic flow characteristics in thesignalized roundabout, vehicle delays on roundabouts aredivided into two parts: entrance delay and circulating lanedelay. Entrance delay is calculated by the delay model inHCM2010. Circulating lane delay is studied by analyzingconflict behavior in signalized roundabouts, and the delaymodels of traffic flows turning in different directions areestablished based on the motorcade analysis method. Finally,the simulation software Vissim, calibrated with field data, isused to verify the model. The simulation results show that theaverage relative error of the model is 10. 1%, meeting theaccuracy requirements. 4TCMBank-the largest TCM database provides deep learningbased Chinese-Western medicine exclusion prediction显示文摘Dear Editor,In the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),two key aspects are determining the active ingredients in herbs and elucidating the mechanism of action between the active ingredients and targets.The construction of a comprehensive and highly-reliability TCM database is highly desirable.Since its establishment in 2011,our TCM Database@Taiwan1 has been used extensively and heavily cited,and it also has been included in the ZINC database.2 Using natural language processing,we set up a knowledge graph and molecular signaling pathways to establish a TCM database,TCMBank(https://TCMBank.cn/),which extends from TCM Database@Taiwan and includes 9192 herbs,61,966 ingredients,15,179 targets,and 32,529 diseases.The updated TCMBank expanded the number of herbal ingredients from 32,364 to 61,966(unduplicated),and two new data fields,targets,and diseases,have been added.The number of herbs with connection information is 9010,and the average number of connection edges of herbs is 16.05.The number of ingredients with connection information is 54,676,and the average number of connection edges of herbs is 5.26.Qiujie Lv Guanxing Chen Haohuai He Ziduo Yang Lu Zhao Kang Zhang Calvin Yu-Chian Chen 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4:1

6Effects of 1,9-dibromnonane on the structural, photophysical properties and stability of cesium lead bromide perovskite nanocrystals显示文摘The CsPbBr3@Cs4PbBr6 nanocrystals(NCs) could be synthesized by multiple Cs-oleate injections as adding the 1,9-dibromnonane in the reaction solution. The 1,9-dibromnonane could provide Br-ions and the rich Br-ions effectively restrain the generation of Cs Br. The Cs4 PbBr6 wrapped around the Cs Pb Br3 NCs and the size of crystalline grain was increased with increasing the Cs-oleate as excess oleylamine. The quantum yield for 14 S4 DN reached to 99.3% due to the decrease of defects and the surface passivation of Cs4 PbBr6. There are more oleylammonium bromide on the surface of Cs Pb Br3 NCs as synthesized with1,9-dibromnonane. The ligand shell and the surface passivation of Cs4 PbBr6 restrained the decomposition of surface, consequently improved the stability of moisture and light for Cs Pb Br3 NCs. When the CsPbBr3@Cs4PbBr6 NCs were immersed in water under UV light(365 nm) for 2 h, the PL intensity could retain 90.4%, while the 11 S1(traditional Cs Pb Br3 NCs) was only 10.9%. 7The acceleration degradation processes of different aged refuses with the forced aeration for landfill reclamation显示文摘Forced aeration is one of the promising ways to accelerate landfill reclamation,and understanding the relation between aeration rates and waste properties is the prerequisite to implementing forced aeration under the target of energy saving and carbon reduction.In this work,landfill reclamation processes with forced aeration were simulated using aged refuses(ARs)of 1,4,7,10,and 13 disposal years,and the potential of field application was also investigated based on a field project,to identify the degradation rate of organic components,the O_(2)consumption efficiency and their correlations to microbes.It was found that the removal rate of organic matter declined from 20.3%(AR_(1))to 12.6%(AR_(13)),and that biodegradable matter(BDM)decreased from 5.2%to 2.4%at the set aeration rate of 0.12 L O_(2)/kg waste(Dry Matter,DM)/day.A linear relationship between the degradation rate constant(K)of BDM and disposal age(x)was established:K=−0.0002193x+0.0091(R^(2)=0.854),suggesting that BDM might be a suitable indicator to reflect the stabilization of ARs.The cellulose/lignin ratio decrease rate for AR1(18.3%)was much higher than that for AR13(3.1%),while the corresponding humic-acid/fulvic-acid ratio increased from 1.44 to 2.16.The dominant bacteria shifted from Corynebacterium(9.2%),Acinetobacter(6.6%),and Fermentimonas(6.5%),genes related to the decompose of biodegradable organics,to Stenotrophomonas(10.2%)and Clostridiales(3.7%),which were associated with humification.The aeration efficiencies of lab-scale tests were in the range of 5.4–11.8 g BDM/L O_(2)for ARs with disposal ages of 1–13 years,and in situ landfill reclamation,ARs with disposal ages of 10–18 years were around 1.9–8.8 g BDM/L O_(2),as the disposal age decreased.The increased discrepancy was observed in ARs at the lab-scale and field scale,indicating that the forced aeration rate should be adjusted based on ARs and the unit compartment combined,to reduce the operation cost.Yihang Liu Chengqi Ning Qiujie Huang Zhaowen Cheng Weihua Cao Xianghui Wang Changfu Yang Hui Liu Jia Song Luochun Wang Ziyang Lou 2023Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2023,5,3:0
8Optimization of Crosswalk Width Based on Bi-Directional Pedestrian Crossing Time at Signalized Intersections显示文摘The effects of the interactions between bi-directional pedestrians on the crossing time and the crosswalk width are studied. Firstly,the crossing process of bi-directional pedestrians is analyzed.The total crosswalk time is divided into a discharge time and a crossing time. The interactions between bi-directional pedestrians are quantified with the drag force theory. Then,a model is developed to study the crossing time based on the kinetic energy theory and momentum theory. Subsequently,the related parameters of the proposed model are calibrated with observed information. The relationships among crosswalk width,signal time,pedestrian volume and level of service are simulated with the proposed model. The results are verified and compared with other models. The proposed model has an absolute value of relative error of 9. 38%,which is smaller than that of the Alhajyaseen model( 15. 26%) and Highway Capacity Manual( HCM) model( 12. 42%).
