1Pine pollen inhibits cell apoptosis-related protein expression in the cerebral cortex of mice with arsenic poisoning显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated that pine pollen can inhibit cerebral cortical cell apoptosis in mice with arsenic poisoning.The present study sought to detect the influence of pine pollen on apoptosis-related proteins.Immunohistochemistry,western blotting and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays were used to measure the levels of apoptosis-related proteins in the cerebral cortex of mice with arsenic poisoning.Results indicated that pine pollen suppressed cell apoptosis in the cerebral cortex of arsenic-poisoned mice by reducing Bax,Bcl-2 protein expression and increasing p53 protein expression.Yanhong Luo Yaodong Wei Taizhong Wang Dongzhu Chen Tiansheng Lu Ruibo Wu Keke Si 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,12:4
2Microstructure and Oxidation Behavior of Modified Aluminide Coating on Ni3Al-based Single Crystal Superalloy显示文摘Al, Al-Si and Cr-Al-Si coatings are prepared onto IC20 alloy by powder pack cementation to improve the oxidation resistance of the alloy. The isothermal oxidation behaviors of the coatings and the uncoated IC20 alloy at 1 100 °C are comparatively investigated. For the coatings, less weight gains are obtained compared to the uncoated alloy after 100 h thermal exposure. The Al-Si coating exhibits the best oxidation resistance, while the addition of Cr accelerates the scale spallation. Phase transformation from β-NiAl to γ and γ′ occurs in the coating after oxidation for extended periods. 3A new cytotoxic salannin-class limonoid alkaloid from seeds of Azadirachta indica A. Juss显示文摘A new cytotoxic salannin-class limonoid alkaloid, azadiramide A(1),was isolated from seeds of Azadirachta indica A. Juss. Its structure was elucidated by extensive analysis of spectroscopic data and quantum chemical calculation. Compound 1 is a rare salannin-class limonoid alkaloid. To our best knowledge, only two compounds belonging to this type were so far found. 5China’s Recent Progresses in Polar Climate Change and Its Interactions with the Global Climate System显示文摘During the recent four decades since 1980,a series of modern climate satellites were launched,allowing for the measurement and record-keeping of multiple climate parameters,especially over the polar regions where traditional observations are difficult to obtain.China has been actively engaging in polar expeditions.Many observations were conducted during this period,accompanied by improved Earth climate models,leading to a series of insightful understandings concerning Arctic and Antarctic climate changes.Here,we review the recent progress China has made concerning Arctic and Antarctic climate change research over the past decade.The Arctic temperature increase is much higher than the global-mean warming rate,associated with a rapid decline in sea ice,a phenomenon called the Arctic Amplification.The Antarctic climate changes showed a zonally asymmetric pattern over the past four decades,with most of the fastest changes occurring over West Antarctica and the Antarctic Peninsula.The Arctic and Antarctic climate changes were driven by anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions and ozone loss,while tropical-polar teleconnections play important roles in driving the regional climate changes and extreme events over the polar regions.Polar climate changes may also feedback to the entire Earth climate system.The adjustment of the circulation in both the troposphere and the stratosphere contributed to the interactions between the polar climate changes and lower latitudes.Climate change has also driven rapid Arctic and Southern ocean acidification.Chinese researchers have made a series of advances in understanding these processes,as reviewed in this paper.Xichen LI Xianyao CHEN Bingyi WU Xiao CHENG Minghu DING Ruibo LEI Di QI Qizhen SUN Xiaoyu WANG Wenli ZHONG Lei ZHENG Meijiao XIN Xiaocen SHEN Chentao SONG Yurong HOU 2023Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,8:1
6Exploring the catalytic function and active sites of a novel C-glycosyltransferase from Anemarrhena asphodeloides显示文摘Anemarrhena asphodeloides is an immensely popular medicinal herb in China,which contains an abundant of mangiferin.As an important bioactive xanthone C-glycoside,mangiferin possesses a variety of pharmacological activities and is derived from the cyclization reaction of a benzophenone C-glycoside(maclurin).Biosyntheti-cally,C-glycosyltransferases are critical for the formation of benzophenone C-glycosides.However,the benzo-phenone C-glycosyltransferases from Anemarrhena asphodeloides have not been discovered.Herein,a promiscuous C-glycosyltransferase(AaCGT)was identified from Anemarrhena asphodeloides.It was able to catalyze efficiently mono-C-glycosylation of benzophenone,together with di-C-glycosylation of dihydrochalcone.It also exhibited the weak O-glycosylation or potent S-glycosylation capacities toward 12 other types of flavonoid scaffolds and a simple aromatic compound with–SH group.Homology modeling and mutagenesis experiments revealed that the glycosylation reaction of AaCGT was initiated by the conserved residue H23 as the catalytic base.Three critical residues H356,W359 and D380 were involved in the recognition of sugar donor through hydrogen-bonding interactions.In particular,the double mutant of F94W/L378M led to an unexpected enzy-matic conversion of mono-C-to di-C-glycosylation.This study highlights the important value of AaCGT as a potential biocatalyst for efficiently synthesizing high-value C-glycosides.Jia Huang Yaru She Jingyang Yue Yidu Chen Yu Li Jing Li Yonger Hu Deying Yang Jiabo Chen Lu Yang Zhongqiu Liu Ruibo Wu Pengfei Jin Lixin Duan 2022Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2022,7,1:1
7Surface recrystallization of a Ni_3Al based single crystal superalloy at different annealing temperatures and blasting pressure显示文摘The effects of annealing temperature and grit blasting pressure on the recrystallization behavior of a Ni3Al based single crystal superalloy were studied in this work. The results show that the precipitation of the Y-NiMo phase occurs at 900 and 1000 °C, which precedes recrystallization. The initial recrystallization temperature was between 1000 and 1100 °C. Cellular recrystallization was formed at 1100 and 1200 °C, which consisted of large columnar γ′ and fine γ + γ′. The dendrite arm closed to the interdendritic region may act as nucleation sites during initial recrystallization by a particle simulated nucleation mechanism at 1280 °C. 9Towards adaptive graph neural networks via solving prior-data conflicts显示文摘Graph neural networks(GNNs)have achieved remarkable performance in a variety of graph-related tasks.Recent evidence in the GNN community shows that such good performance can be attributed to the homophily prior;i.e.,connected nodes tend to have similar features and labels.However,in heterophilic settings where the features of connected nodes may vary significantly,GNN models exhibit notable performance deterioration.In this work,we formulate this problem as prior-data confict and propose a model called the mixture-prior graph neural network(MPGNN).First,to address the mismatch of homophily prior on heterophilic graphs,we introduce the non-informative prior,which makes no assumptions about the relationship between connected nodes and learns such relationship from the data.Second,to avoid performance degradation on homophilic graphs,we implement a soft switch to balance the effects of homophily prior and non-informative prior by learnable weights.We evaluate the performance of MPGNN on both synthetic and real-world graphs.Results show that MPGNN can effectively capture the relationship between connected nodes,while the soft switch helps select a suitable prior according to the graph characteristics.With these two designs,MPGNN outperforms state-of-the-art methods on heterophilic graphs without sacrificing performance on homophilic graphs.Xugang WU Huijun WU Ruibo WANG Xu ZHOU Kai LU 2024Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2024,25,3:0
10Enhancement of catalytic activity for hydrogenation of nitroaromatic by anionic metal-organic framework显示文摘Nitroaromatic hydrogenation catalysis without precious metals remains a longstanding challenge.The rate of electron transfer is the crucial factor affecting hydrogenation catalysis.Herein,an ionic Cd-based metal-organic framework(I-Cd-MOF)exhibiting a unique structure with one-dimensional(1D)opening nanochannels and good electron transfer ability was synthesized for catalyzing hydrogenation of 4-nitrophenol(4-NP).The catalytic activity of the unique I-Cd-MOF without noble metals is detected,which is higher than most reported noble metal catalysts.Remarkably,the reaction rate of I-Cd-MOF(4.28 min^(-1))is about 47.6 times higher than that of the Cd-based neutral MOF(N-Cd-MOF)with the similar crystalline structure.Liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer(LC-MS)and theoretical results demonstrate that 4-NP and five intermediates are stabilized in the channels of I-Cd-MOF,which increases the possibility of contact with H^*and H_(2)g enerated at the Cd sites.The I-Cd-MOF was extended to other nitroaromatic hydrogenation catalysis,which still displays excellent activity.More importantly,the I-MOF@Filter membrane was successfully constructed for continuous hydrogenation catalytic reactions,which maintains a high catalytic performance after 7 cycles of recycling without washing.This work fills in the application of the I-MOFs in hydrogenation catalytic reactions and provides an effective way for the rapid and green degradation of nitroaromatic compounds.Qi Wu Anyang Li Ruibo He Yaxi Wu Lei Hou Guoping Yang Wenyan Zhang Yao-Yu Wang 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,3:0
11Sonic hedgehog signaling:Alternative splicing and pathogenic role in medulloblastoma显示文摘Alternative splicing(AS)produces the different mRNA splicing bodies,which are then translated into multiple protein isoforms and participate in various biological functions.With a deeper understanding of alternative splicing through the study of transcriptomes using high-throughput sequencing-based methods,the correlation between aberrant AS and diseases triggered a great concern,especially abnormal AS and cancer.Medulloblastoma(MB)is an intracranial tumor in children.Sonic hedgehog MB(SHH-MB)accounted for approximately 30%of MB,which is associated with the activation of SHH signaling.Growing evidence shows that aberrant AS is closely related to the tumorigenesis of MB.Here,we briefly introduced the AS and its mechanism.Next,we described canonical/noncanonical hedgehog signaling and its correlation with MB.The main description focused on AS of various regulators in canonical hedgehog signaling in MB.In addition,we also described AS of various regulators in noncanonical hedgehog signaling.Meanwhile,activated hedgehog signaling also induces AS in MB.Then,we pointed out that aberrant AS of hedgehog signaling is associated with different MB subgroups.Finally,we summarized the therapeutic applications of targeted AS in cancer treatment.In summary,further understanding of AS in SHH-MB could develop therapeutic targets for splicing factors which may be a novel therapeutic strategy.Meiyu Qu Qiangqiang He Jiahao Luo Tingyu Shen Ruibo Gao Yana Xu Chengyun Xu Muhammad Qasim Barkat Ling-Hui Zeng Ximei Wu 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,5:0

13Effect of NK cells on GVHD in H-2 haploidentical bone marrow transplantation in mice显示文摘Objective: To study the effect of natural killer (NK) cells on graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after H-2 haploidentical bone marrow transplantation(BMT) in mice. Methods:Murine model of H-2 haploidentical BMT was established by using Balb/c(H-2d) mouse as recipient, and Balb/c(H-2d)×C57BL/6(H-2b)(H-2d/b) mouse as donor. Lethally irradiated Balb/c(H-2d) mice were transplanted with the bone marrow cells from Balb/c(H-2d)×C57BL/6(H-2b)(H-2d/b) mice containing donor spleen cells and/or NK cells. GVHD and survival rates were studied by observation of clinical manifestations and pathological changes. Results:In the group of bone marrow +spleen cells, GVHD was induced in 90% mice; but in the group plus with low amount of NK cells, GVHD was induced in 20% mice; and in the group transplanted with high amount of NK cells, GVHD was induced only in 10% mice. Compared to the group transplanted only with BM plus spleen cells, the incidences of GVHD in the latter two groups decreased significantly(P < 0.01) and the survival rates at different periods of 15, 30, 45 and 60 days increased obviously(P < 0.01).
