| 1 | Scalable and ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers for electrically tunable liquid-crystal microlens arrays显示文摘The scalable growth of wafer-sized single-crystal graphene in an energy-efficient manner and compatible with wafer process is critical for the killer applications of graphene in high-performance electronics and optoelectronics. Here, ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers is realized on singlecrystal Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) thin films fabricated by a tailored two-step magnetron sputtering and recrystallization process. The minor nickel(Ni) content greatly enhances the catalytic activity of Cu, rendering the growth of a 4 in. single-crystal monolayer graphene wafer in 10 min on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1), 50 folds faster than graphene growth on Cu(1 1 1). Through the carbon isotope labeling experiments, graphene growth on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) is proved to be exclusively surface-reaction dominated, which is ascribed to the Cu surface enrichment in the Cu Ni alloy, as indicated by element in-depth profile. One of the best benefits of our protocol is the compatibility with wafer process and excellent scalability. A pilot-scale chemical vapor deposition(CVD) system is designed and built for the mass production of single-crystal graphene wafers, with productivity of 25 pieces in one process cycle. Furthermore, we demonstrate the application of single-crystal graphene in electrically controlled liquid-crystal microlens arrays(LCMLA), which exhibit highly tunable focal lengths near 2 mm under small driving voltages. By integration of the graphene based LCMLA and a CMOS sensor, a prototype camera is proposed that is available for simultaneous light-field and light intensity imaging. The single-crystal graphene wafers could hold great promising for highperformance electronics and optoelectronics that are compatible with wafer process. | Bing Deng Zhaowei Xin Ruiwen Xue Shishu Zhang Xiaozhi Xu Jing Gao Jilin Tang Yue Qi Yani Wang Yan Zhao Luzhao Sun Huihui Wang Kaihui Liu Mark H. | 2 | Vapor phase epitaxy of PbS single-crystal films on water-soluble substrates and application to photodetectors显示文摘Lead sulfide(PbS),a typical functional semiconductor material, has attracted serious attention due to its great potential in optoelectronics applications. However, controllable growth of PbS single-crystal film still remains a great challenge. Here,we report heteroepitaxial growth of large-scale highly crystalline PbS films on alkali salt(NaCl and KCl)substrates via chemical vapor deposition(CVD).Structural characterizations demonstrate that the as-grown PbS films exhibit an atomically sharp interface with the underlying substrates. The epitaxial relationships between the epilayers and substrates were determined to be PbS(100)//NaCl(100)or KCl(100),PbS[010]//NaCl[010]or KCl[010].Owing to the high solubility of alkali salt, the epitaxial PbS films can be rapidly released from the underlying substrates and transferred to other substrates of interest while maintaining good integrity and crystallinity, the process of which is particularly attractive in the fields of electronics and optoelectronics.Furthermore, photodetectors based on the transferred PbS films were fabricated, exhibiting a high photoresponsivity of 7.5 A/W,a detectivity of 1.44×10^(12)Jones,and a rapid response time of approximately 0.25 s.This work sheds light on the batch production, green transfer, and optoelectronic application of PbS films. | Yifan Wang Jing Xia Xuanze Li Fan Ru Xue Chen Ze Hua Ruiwen Shao Xuecong Wang Wenjun Zhang Chun-Sing Lee Xiangmin Meng | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,6: | 1 |
| 3 | Identification of Dynamic Active Sites Among Cu Species Derived from MOFs@CuPc for Electrocatalytic Nitrate Reduction Reaction to Ammonia显示文摘Direct electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction(NITRR)is a promising strategy to alleviate the unbalanced nitrogen cycle while achieving the electrosynthesis of ammonia. However, the restructuration of the high-activity Cu-based electrocatalysts in the NITRR process has hindered the identification of dynamical active sites and in-depth investigation of the catalytic mechanism.Herein,Cu species(single-atom,clusters,and nanoparticles)with tunable loading supported on N-doped TiO_(2)/C are successfully manufactured with MOFs@CuPc precursors via the pre-anchor and post-pyrolysis strategy.Restructuration behavior among Cu species is co-dependent on the Cu loading and reaction potential,as evidenced by the advanced operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and there exists an incompletely reversible transformation of the restructured structure to the initial state.Notably, restructured CuN_(4)&Cu_(4) deliver the high NH_(3) yield of 88.2 mmol h^(−1)g_(cata)^(−1) and FE(~94.3%)at−0.75 V,resulting from the optimal adsorption of NO_(3)^(−) as well as the rapid conversion of^(*)NH_(2)OH to^(*)NH_(2) intermediates originated from the modulation of charge distribution and d-band center for Cu site. This work not only uncovers CuN_(4)&Cu_(4) have the promising NITRR but also identifies the dynamic Cu species active sites that play a critical role in the efficient electrocatalytic reduction in nitrate to ammonia. | Xue‑Yang Ji Ke Sun Zhi‑Kun Liu Xinghui Liu Weikang Dong Xintao Zuo Ruiwen Shao Jun Tao | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,8: | 1 |
| 4 | MoLrp1-mediated signaling induces nuclear accumulation of MoMsn2 to facilitate fatty acid oxidation for infectious growth of the rice blast fungus显示文摘Fatty acid b-oxidation is critical for fatty acid degradation and cellular development. In the rice blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae, fatty acid b-oxidation is reported to be important mainly for turgor generation in the appressorium. However, the role of fatty acid b-oxidation during invasive hyphal growth is rarely documented. We demonstrated that blocking peroxisomal fatty acid b-oxidation impaired lipid droplet(LD)degradation and infectious growth of M.oryzae.We found that the key regulator of pathogenesis,MoMsn2,which we identified previously,is involved in fatty acid b-oxidation by targeting MoDCI1(encoding dienoyl-coenzyme A[CoA]isomerase),which is also important for LD degradation and infectious growth.Cytological observations revealed that MoMsn2 accumulated from the cytosol to the nucleus during early infection or upon treatment with oleate. We determined that the low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein MoLrp1,which is also involved in fatty acid b-oxidation and infectious growth, plays a critical role in the accumulation of MoMsn2 from the cytosol to the nucleus by activating the cyclic AMP signaling pathway. Our results provide new insights into the importance of fatty acid oxidation during invasive hyphal growth, which is modulated by MoMsn2 and its related signaling pathways in M.oryzae. | Ting Zhang Xingyu Wang Xue Li Ya-Nan Li Yuhe Li Shuang Wu Lele Xu Ruiwen Zhou Jing Yang Guotian Li Xinyu Liu Xiaobo Zheng Zhengguang Zhang Haifeng Zhang | 2023 | Plant Communications2023,4,4: | 0 |
