4The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 6Vein transplantation using human umbilical cord blood stem cells in the treatment of stroke sequela显示文摘BACKGROUND: Transplanted mononuclear cell(MNC)of umbilical blood can survive in central nervous system (CNS)of host through blood brain barrier,differentiate into nerver cells,migrate to damaged site and integrate morphological strucgh and function with nerve cells of host so as to improve deficiencies of sensatory function,motor function and cognitive function and influence on stroke sequela.OBJECTIVE: To observe the vein transplantation of human umbilical cord blood stem cells(HUCBSC) for improving neurological function,limb funtion and activity of daily living of patients with stroke and evaluate the reliability.DESIGN: Self-controlled study.SETTING: Department of Neurosurgery,the Second People's Hospital of Zhengzhou City;Red-crossed Blood Center of Henan Province;Department of Neurosurgery,the Fist Affiliated Hospital of Zhenzhou University.PARTICIPANTS:A total of 10 patients with stoke sequela were selected from Department of Cerebral Surgery,the Second People's Hospital of Zhengzhou City from April to December 2005.There were 9males and 1 female aged from 35to 75years with the mean age of 56 years.All of them were diagnosed with CT and MRI examination and coincidence with diagnostic criteria of stroke established by the Fourth National Academic Meeting for Cerebrovascular Disease.All patients provided informed consent. METHODS:80-140 mL umbilical blood of term birth of newborn was selected hermetically and maintained in sterile plastic bag.And then,the blood was centrifugated at the speed of 1500 r/min for 30 minutes at 22℃ in order to separate MNC,i.e.,HUCBSC.In addition,after final diagnosis during hospitalization,stroke patients were perfused with HUCBSC through superficial vein of back of the hand.Each patient was averagely penfused with 6 portions of HUCBSC(cellular numbers≥1×108/portion)and the interval between each portion was 1-7 days with the mean interval of 4 days.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ①Neurological function of stroke patients was evaluated with neurological function deficiency(NFD)before treatment and at 3 months after treatment.The scale includes consciousness,level fix function.facial paralysis,language,muscle force of upper limbs,muscle force of lower limb and step function.The total scores ranged from 0 to 45; meanwhile,the lower the scores were,the better the neurological function of limbs was. ②Motor function of injured limbs was evaluated with Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA),including motor function of upper limbs.motor function of lower limbs,balance ability,sensory function and motion of joint.The total scores ranged from 0 to 226;meanwhile,the higher the scores were,the better the motor function of limbs was.③Activities of daily living(ADL)was evaluated with Barthel Index(BI),including having meals,taking a bath,dressing oneself,putting on clothes,walking in balance and stair activity.The total scores ranged from 0 to 100;meanwhile,the higher the scores were,the stronger the ADL was.RESULTS:A total of 10 patients were involved in the final analysis.After treatment,NFD of stroke patients was (10.9±5.09)points,which was lower than that before treatment[(25.4±6.09)points,t=8.213,P<0.01].In addition,after treatment,FMA and BI of stroke patients were(80.9±25.00)points and(81.1±15.93)points,re spectively,which were higher than those before treatment[(31.9+21.85)points,(36.2+19.41)points,t=13.024,13.670,P<0.01]. 7Tensile properties and fracture behavior of Ti_2AlNb based alloys at room temperature显示文摘The tensile mechanical properties and fracture behaviors of Ti 22Al 20Nb 7Ta alloys were studied at room temperature. Three typical microstructures of Ti 2AlNb based alloys were obtained by combination of thermal mechanical processing and heat treat ment. They are: 1) lath mixture of O + B 2 with remaining β grain boundaries and α 2 phase; 2) equiaxed O phase in B 2 matrix; 3) fine lath mixture of O + B 2 without remaining β grain boundaries. It is shown that the microstructure obviously affects the tensile properties of Ti 2AlNb based alloys. The microstructure of fine lath mixture of O + B 2 without remaining β grain boundaries has good combination of yield stress and ductility, while the microstructure with lath mixture of O + B 2 with remaining β grain boundaries and α 2 phase has low yield stress and elongation. The fracture mode was also controlled by the microstructure of Ti 2AlNb based alloys. 9Development of a script of phonemically balanced monosyllable lists of Mandarin-Chinese显示文摘Objectives To develop a set of monosyllable audiometry test material that can be used in speech recognition testing in Mandarin Chinese. Materials and Methods In an effort to improve reliability and efficiency in clinical practice, a set of 30 test lists of 25 monosyllable test items each was designed with consideration of the following: length of the list, phonemical balance (PB), word utility frequency, coverage of common words, and equivalency among lists. The 30 lists contained 750 monosyllabic words and were constructed on the basis of Chinese phoneme distribution probability summarized in the Manual of Acoustic. The occurrence incidence of the 22 consonants, 36 vowels, and 4 tones of the Chinese Mandarin characters in the 30 test lists were calculated. To achieve PB, 489 monosyllables were selected from the 2500 most commonly used Chinese characters and the 4000 most commonly used Chinese phrases to compile the 30 monosyllable test lists using a computer algorithm with manual adjustment. Results Thirty phonemical balanced word lists of common Mandarin Chinese monosyllabic words were compiled. Each list consisted of 25 monosyllables. A total of 489 phonemes (consonants, vowels and tones) were included in the set. 11Further geological and palaeoanthropological investigations at the Maludong hominin site, Yunnan Province, Southwest China显示文摘Three-dimensional mapping and section work undertaken by us in 2008 have identified 11 stratigraphic units at Maludong site.AMS radiocarbon dating of charcoal established an accurate and internally consistent age profile for the sequence of 17.8±0.2 ka to 13.2±0.1 ka.Archaeomagnetic analysis showed changes in externally derived pedogenically enhanced material consistent with a warming in climate between the cold period of Henrich Event 1 and the B lling-Aller d interstadial.Human remains recovered during the 1989 excavation were derived from a deposit dating to this interstadial,or between 14.3±0.3 ka and 13.5±0.1 ka.Anthropogenic features,including burnt rocks,baked sediment and thick charcoal and ash layers,were identified and examined through archaeomagnetic analysis.Two monkey fossils are described here,one of them being reassigned from Macaca robustus to M.aff.M.assamensis.They confirm the young age of the site and also show signs of anthropogenic alteration in the form of burning.Additional human cranial remains are reported for the first time and new data are provided for some specimens described previously.A range of new features is identified that strengthen the affinities of the Maludong remains to archaic humans.The presence of this globally unique mosaic of archaic and modern features raises important questions about human evolutionary history in East Asia during the Late Upper Pleistocene.JI XuePing CURNOE Darren BAO ZhenDe HERRIES Andy I R FINK David ZHU YunSheng HELLSTROM John LUO Yun TACON Paul S C 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,35:3
