| 1 | The Genesis Mechanism of the Mantle Fluid Action and Evolution in the Ore-Forming Process: A Case Study of the Laowangzhai Gold Deposit in Yunnan, China显示文摘Based on petrological studies of the wall rocks, mineralizing rocks, ores and veins from the Laowangzhai gold deposit, it is discovered that along with the development of silication, carbonation and sulfidation, a kind of black opaque ultra-microlite material runs through the spaces between grains, fissures and cleavages. Under observations of the electron microprobe, scanning electronic microscopy and energy spectrum, this kind of ultra-microlite material is confirmed to consist of ultra microcrystalline quartz, silicate, sulfides and carbonates, as well as rutile, scheelite and specularite (magnetite), showing characters of liquation by the analyses of SEM and energy spectrum. The coexistence of immiscibility and precipitating co-crystallization strongly suggests that the mineralizing fluid changed from the melt to the hydrothermal fluid. Combined with the element geochemical researches, it is realized that the ultra-microlite aggregate is the direct relics of the mantle fluid behaving like a melt and supercritical fluid, which goes along with the mantle-derived magma and will escape from the magma body at a proper time. | 3 | SIZ1-Mediated SUMOylation of ROS1 Enhances Its Stability and Positively Regulates Active DNA Demethylation in Arabidopsis显示文摘The 5-methylcytosine DNA glycosylase/lyase REPRESSOR OF SILENCING 1(ROS1)-mediated active DNA demethylation is critical for shaping the genomic DNA methylation landscape in Arabidopsis.Whether and how the stability of ROS1 may be regulated by post-translational modifications is unknown.Using a methylation-sensitive PCR(CHOP-PCR)-based forward genetic screen forArabidopsis DNA hyper-methyl-ation mutants,we identified the SUMO E3 ligase SIZ1 as a critical regulator of active DNA demethylation.Dysfunction of SIZ1 leads to hyper-methylation at approximately 1000 genomic regions.SIZ1 physically in-teracts with ROS1 and mediates the SUMOylation of ROS1.The SUMOylation of ROS1 is reduced in siz1 mutant plants.Compared with that in wild-type plants,the protein level of ROS1 is significantly decreased,whereas there is an increased level of ROS1 transcripts in siz1 mutant plants.Our results suggest that SIZ1-mediated SUMOylation of ROS1 promotes its stability and positively regulates active DNA demethylation. | Xiangfeng Kong Yechun Hong Yi-Feng Hsu Huan Huang Xue Liu Zhe Song Jian-Kang Zhu | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,12: | 3 |
| 4 | Ultrathin wavy Rh nanowires as highly effective electrocatalysts for methanol oxidation reaction with ultrahigh ECSA显示文摘Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) have received tremendous research interests because of the facile storage of liquid methanol vs.hydrogen.However,the DMFC today is severely plagued by the poor kinetics and rather high overpotential in methanol oxidation reaction (MOR).Here we report the investigation of the ultrathin Rh wavy nanowires as a highly effective MOR electrocatalyst.We show that ultrathin wavy Rh nanowires can be robustly synthesized with 2-3 nm diameters.Electrochemical studies show a current peak at the potential of 0.61 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE),considerably lower than that of Pt based catalysts (~ 0.8-0.9 V vs.RHE).Importantly,with ultrathin diameters and favorable charge transport,the Rh nanowires catalysts exhibit an ultrahigh electrochemically active surface area determined from CO-stripping (ECSAco) of 144.2 m2/g,far exceeding that of the commercial Rh black samples (20 m2/g).Together,the Rh nanowire catalysts deliver a mass activity of 722 mA/mg at 0.61 V,considerably higher than many previously reported electrocatalysts at the same potential.The chronoamperometry studies also demonstrate good stability and CO-tolerance compared with the Rh black control sample,making ultrathin Rh wavy nanowires an attractive electrocatalyst for MOR. | Xiaoyang Fu Zipeng Zhao Chengzhang Wan Yiliu Wang Zheng Fan Frank Song Bocheng Cao Mufan Li Wang Xue Yu Huang Xiangfeng Duan | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,1: | 3 |
