The large increase of δ^(13)C_(carb)-depth gradient and the end-Permian mass extinction显示文摘Carbonate carbon isotope δ(13Ccarb) has received considerable attention in the Permian-Triassic transition for its rapid negative shift coinciding with the great end-Permian mass extinction event. The mechanism has long been debated for such a δ13Ccarb negative excursion through the end-Permian crisis and subsequent large perturbations in the entire Early Triassic.A δ13Ccarb depth gradient is observed at the Permian-Triassic boundary sections of different water-depths,i.e.,the Yangou,Meishan, and Shangsi sections, and such a large δ13Ccarb-depth gradient near the end-Permian mass extinction horizon is believed to result from a stratified Paleotethys Ocean with widespread anoxic/euxinic deep water. The evolution of δ13Ccarb-depth gradient combined with paleontological and geochemical data suggests that abundant cyanobacteria and vigorous biological pump in the immediate aftermath of the end-Permian extinction would be the main cause of the large δ13Ccarb-depth gradient, and the enhanced continental weathering with the mass extinction on land provides a mass amount of nutriment for the flourishing cyanobacteria.Photic zone anoxia/euxinia from the onset of chemocline upward excursion might be the direct cause for the mass extinction whereas the instability of chemocline in the stratified Early Triassic ocean would be the reason for the delayed and involuted biotic recovery.SONG HaiJun TONG JinNan XIONG YanLin SUN DongYing TIAN Li SONG HuYue 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,7:11
Impact of KRAS mutation and PTEN expression on cetuximab-treated colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM:To investigate the prognostic value of KRAS mutation, and phosphatase and tensin (PTEN) expression in Chinese metastatic colorectal cancer metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients treated with cetuximab.METHODS:Ninety Chinese mCRC patients treated with cetuximab were evaluated for KRAS mutation and PTEN protein expression by DNA sequencing of codons 12 and 13 and immunohistochemistry, respectively. We then selected 61 patients treated with cetuximab, either in combination with chemotherapy,or alone as a second-line or third-line regimen to assess whether KRAS mutation or PTEN protein expression is associated with the response and the survival time of mCRC patients treated with cetuximab.RESULTS:KRAS mutation was found in 30 (33.3%) tumor samples from the 90 patients, and positive PTEN expression was detected in 58 (64.4%) of the 90 patients.Among the 61 patients who were treated with cetuximab as a second-line or third-line regimen, the resistance to cetuximab was found in 22 patients with KRAS mutation and in 39 patients without KRAS mutation, with a response rate of 4.5% and 46.1% respectively (P=0.001),a shorter median progression-free survival (PFS) time of 14 ± 1.3 wk and 32 ± 2.5 wk respectively (P < 0.001),a median overall survival (OS) time of 11 ± 1.2 mo and 19 ± 1.8 mo respectively (P < 0.001),as well as in 24 patients with negative PTEN expression and in 37 patients with positive PTEN expression respectively (P < 0.001),with a responsive rate of 4.2% and 48.6% respectively,a shorter median PFS survival time of 17 ± 2.0 wk and 28 ± 1.9 wk respectively (P=0.07),and a median OS time of 11 ± 1.3 mo and 18 ± 1.9 mo respectively (P=0.004).Combined KRAS mutation and PTEN expression analysis showed that the PFS and OS time of patients with two favorable prognostic factors were longer than those of patients with one favorable prognostic factor or no favorable prognostic factor (P < 0.001).CONCLUSION:KRAS mutation and PTEN protein expression are significantly correlated with the response rate and survival time of Chinese mCRC patients treated with cetuximab.Fang-Hua Li,Zhuang-Hua Li,Hui-Yan Luo,Miao-Zhen Qiu,Yu-Hong Li,Rui-Hua Xu,State Key Laboratory of Oncology in Southern China,Department of Medical Oncology,Sun YatSen University Cancer Center,Guangzhou 510060,Guangdong Province,China Fang-Hua Li,Department of Medical Oncology,Shengli Oil Field Central Hospital,Dongying 257034,Shandong Province,China Lin Shen,Department of GI Oncology,Peking University School of Oncology,Beijing Cancer Hospital and Institute,Beijing 100142,China Hui-Zhong Zhang,State Key Laboratory of Oncology in Southern China,Department of Pathology,Sun Yat-Sen University Cancer Center,Guangzhou 510060,Guangdong Province,China 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,46:9
Significance and expression of Bax, Survivin and p53 in gastric carcinoma and precancerous lesions using tissue microarray显示文摘Objective: To explore the relationship between expressions of apoptosis-related protein Bax, Survivin and p53 and the molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis and progression of gastric carcinoma. Methods: Tissue microarray and immunohistochemistry were used in this study. Results: The positive rate of Bax protein in gastric cancer (17.7%,17/96) was significantly lower than those in adjacent normal mucosa (51%), intestinal metaplasia (69.2%) and dysplasia (75%), P < 0.01. The positive rate of Survivin expression in gastric cancer (80.6%, 89/98) was significantly higher than that in adjacent normal mucosa (3.9%), P < 0.01. The positive rates of Survivin expression in tumors with different organ metastases (in lymph node metastasis 86.2%, liver 100% and ovarian 100%) were statistically higher than in tumors without metastasis (64.3%), P < 0.05. Bax expression was correlated with Survivin but not with mp53 that was closely related to Survivin expression (P < 0.05) in gastric cancer. Conclusion: The abnormal expressions of Bax, Survivin and mp53 were correlated with the tumorigenesis and progression of gastric carcinoma. P53 and Survivin genes may share the similar mechanism in regulating cell apoptosis, and because of the mutation, p53 gene may lower its down-regulation to Survivin expression.Yuping Xiao Zhi Lin Lili Mao Dongying Wu Yujia Gao Hongwei Sun Yan Xin 2007The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2007,6,4:5
The microfacies and sedimentary responses to the mass extinction during the Permian-Triassic transition at Yangou Section, Jiangxi Province, South China显示文摘A Permian-Triassic(P-Tr) boundary section of continuous carbonate facies, which well recorded the biotic and environmental processes through the great P-Tr transition in the shallow non-microbialite carbonate facies, has been studied in Yangou, Leping County, Jiangxi Province. The P-Tr sequence is well correlated with the Meishan section according to the conodont biostratigraphy and the excursion of carbon isotopes. A series of high-resolution thin-sections from the P-Tr boundary carbonate rocks at the Yangou section are studied to explore the interrelation between environmental change and biological evolution during the transitional time. Six microfacies have been identified based upon the observation of the thin-sections under a microscope on the grains and matrix and their interrelation. Combined with the data of fossils and carbon isotopes, Microfacies 4(MF-4), coated-grain-bearing foraminifer oolitic sparitic limestone, and Microfacies 6(MF-6), dark shelly micritic limestone, should be the different responses to the two episodes of mass extinction and environmental events that can be correlated throughout South China and even over the world. The oolitic limestone of MF-4 is the first finding from the latest Permian strata in South China and it might be a proxy of an unusual environmental condition of high pCO2, low sulfate concentration and of microbial blooming in the aftermath of the latest Permian mass extinction. The micritic limestone of MF-6 containing rich micro-gastropods and ostracods probably represents the blooming event of disaster taxa in the earliest Triassic environment. The microfacies analysis at the Yangou section can well reveal the episodic process of the biological evolution and environmental change in the shallow non-microbialite carbonate facies throughout the great P-Tr transition, thus the Yangou section becomes an important complement to the Meishan section.TIAN Li TONG JinNan SUN DongYing XIONG YanLin WANG ChengGang SONG HaiJun SONG HuYue HUANG YunFei 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,9:4
A Frequency-Response Study on Sorption of Thiophene and Benzene on NiY Zeolite显示文摘The adsorption behavior of thiophene and benzene on NiY zeolite has been investigated by the frequency response(FR) method. The FR spectra of thiophene and benzene on NiY zeolite were recorded at 302-335 K in a pressure range of 26.6-266 Pa.The results showed that adsorption was found to be the rate-controlling process for the thiophene/NiY zeolite system, and there were two different adsorption processes. Two kinds of adsorption models have been proposed, namely:the S-M interaction(low frequency adsorption) and the π-complexation(high frequency adsorption).High frequency adsorption obeyed the Langmuir model.By combining the FR method and Langmuir model, the adsorption site of high frequency adsorption process at 302 K and 335 K was 3.172 mmol/g and 2.974 mmol/g,respectively,and on the combined adsorption isotherms, the adsorption site of the low frequency adsorption process at 302 K and 335 K was 0.308 mmol/gand 0.436 mmol/g,respectively.The low frequency adsorption process(S-M interaction) was the main adsorption process. The diffusion process was the rate-controlling process for the benzene-NiY zeolite system.Lai Junling1,2 Song Lijuan1,2 Sun Zhaolin1,2(1.Colledge of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering,China University of Petroleum(East China),Dongying 257061 2.Liaoning Key Laboratory of Petrochemical Engineering,Liaoning Shihua University) 2011China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2011,13,2:4
Recent movement changes of main fault zones in the Sichuan-Yunnan region and their relevance to seismic activity显示文摘The Wenchuan earthquake occurred near the 'triple junction' linking the Bayan Har block, the South China block, and the Sichuan-Yunnan rhombic block, and its influences on the surrounding blocks and the main fault zones in the Sichuan-Yunnan region, i.e., the block boundary zone, cannot be ignored. In this paper, changes of movement and stress of the fault zones before and after a strong earthquake were simulated based on the GPS repetition survey results recently obtained during 1999–2007, 2009–2011, and 2011–2013 with a two-dimensional finite-element contact model and the 'block- loading' method. The results show that, before the Wenchuan earthquake, the movement of the Longmenshan fault zone was very slow and its compressive stress accumulated rapidly; after the Wenchuan earthquake, movements toward the E-SSE direction of the Bayan Har, southwestern Yunnan, and rhombic blocks were enhanced, and the dextral and horizontal compressive speeds and annual accumulative compressive stress of the Longmenshan fault zone increased markedly by factors of 4.5, 2.1, and 2.5, respectively. The southern Xianshuihe, Anninghe, Zemuhe, Daliangshan, and Lijiang-Xiaojinhe fault zones accumulated compressive stress rapidly, forming enhanced compressive stress zones along a NE strike crossing the central part of the Sichuan-Yunnan region. The tensional movement of the Xianshuihe fault zone was enhanced and the slip movement in the central part of the zone was reversed in a short time. The changes are tightly related to the medium-intensity earthquakes that occurred during the same period in this region, revealing that the spatial migration of seismic activity is related to changes of movement of the blocks.LIU Xia MA Jin DU XueSong ZHU Shuang LI LaYue SUN DongYing 2016Science China Earth Sciences2016,59,6:4
Reexamination of Radiolarian Biostratigraphy in Permian in Pelagic Chert Sequences at Dachongling Section, South China显示文摘Permian radiolarian biostratigraphy was reexamined in the bedded chert section in Qinzhou area of southeast Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, South China. On the basis of the analyses of characteristic radiolarian composition, six radiolarian zones are recognized, namely, Pseudoalbaillella longtanensis Zone, Pseudoalbaillella globosa Zone, Follicucullus monacanthus Zone, Follicucullus scholasticus Zone, Follicucullus charveti Zone and Neoalbaillella ornithoformis Zone, in ascending order. Correlation of these radiolarian zones with those in Japan is presented. The Neoalbaillella ornithoformis Zone was firstly discovered in Dachongling Section, which may indicate that pelagic chert of the late Permian existed there, according to the co occurring conodonts.Sun Dongying Xia Wenchen Liu Dongjie Faculty of Earth Sciences, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan 430074 2002Journal of China University of Geosciences2002,13,3:3
Characteristics of Albaillella (Albaillellarian,Radiolarian) Fauna from Guadalupian to Lopingian Series in Permian,South China显示文摘On the basis of establishment of radiolarian biostratigraphy and conodont biostratigraphy, a radiolarian Albaillella fauna in the transitional environment from Guadalupian to Lopingian Series in Permian was found at a pelagic chert section in southeast Guangxi, South China. Radiolarian Albaillella is one of the most sensitive biology to the transitional environment. The Albaillella fauna shows an ecological evolutionary process from Guadalupian to Lopingian: declined stage-recovery stage-flourishing stage. The study of characteristics of the Albaillella fauna in the transitional environment may provide more information, not only for the subdivision and correlation of a high-resolution biostratigraphy, but also for influence of radiolarian Albaillella fauna on the pre-Lopingian mass extinction.Sun Dongying Xia Wenchen Faculty of Earth Sciences, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan 430074 2003Journal of China University of Geosciences2003,14,4:2
Molecular dynamics study of the water/n-alkane interface显示文摘Molecular dynamics simulations on the interface between liquid water and liquid n-alkane (including octane, nonane, decane, undecane and dodecane) have been performed with the purpose to study the interfacial properties: (Ⅰ) density profile; (Ⅱ) molecular orientation; (Ⅲ) interfacial tension and the temperature effect on the interfacial tension. Simulation results show that at the interface the structures of both water and n-alkane are different from those in the bulk. Water has an orientational preference due to the number of hydrogen bonds per molecule maximized. N-alkane has a more lateral orientation with respect to the interface in order to be in close contact with water. The calculated individual phase bulk density and interfacial tension of water/n-alkane systems are in good agreement with the corresponding experimental ones.XIAO HongYan1, ZHEN Zhen1, SUN HuanQuan2, CAO XuLong2, LI ZhenQuan2, SONG XinWang2, CUI XiaoHong2 & LIU XinHou1 1Key Laboratory of Photochemical Conversion and Optoelectronic Materials, Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100190, China 2Institute of Geological Science, Shengli Oilfield, Dongying 257001, China 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,4:2

Global Convergence of a New Restarting Conjugate Gradient Method for Nonlinear Optimizations显示文摘Conjugate gradient optimization algorithms depend on the search directions.with different choices for the parameters in the search directions. In this note,by combining the nice numerical performance of PR and HS methods with the global convergence property of the class of conjugate gradient methods presented by HU and STOREY(1991),a class of new restarting conjugate gradient methods is presented.Global convergences of the new method with two kinds of common line searches, are proved .Firstly,it is shown that, using reverse modulus of continuity funciton and forcing function, the new method for solving unconstrained optimization can work for a continously differentiable function with Curry-Altman's step size rule and a bounded level set .Secondly,by using comparing technique, some general convergence propecties of the new method with other kind of step size rule are established,Numerical experiments show that the new method is efficient by comparing with FR conjugate gradient method.SUN Qing-ying(Department of Applied Mathematics, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116024, China Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Petroleum , Dongying 257061, China) 2003Chinese Quarterly Journal of Mathematics2003,18,2:1

Traditional Chinese medicines for non-small cell lung cancer: Therapies and mechanisms显示文摘The most common subtype of lung cancer is non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC), which has a poor prognosis and seriously threatens the health of human beings. The multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment model has gradually become the mainstream of NSCLC treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) can be used effectively either as an adjunctive therapy or alone throughout the NSCLC therapy, which has a significant impact on survival, quality of life, and reduction of toxicity. Therefore, this paper reviewed the theoretical basis, the latest clinical application, and combined treatment mechanisms in order to explore the advantage stage of TCM treatment and the synergistic therapeutic mechanisms.Fanming Kong Chaoran Wang Linlin Zhao Dongying Liao Xiaoqun Wang Binxu Sun Peiying Yang Yingjie Jia 2023Chinese Herbal Medicines2023,15,4:0
USAGE OF RESERVIOR INFORMATION TO IMPROVE RESOLUTION OF SEISMIC DATA显示文摘The poor resolution of conventional seismic data could not fit it for reservoir description. Meanwhile only seismic data could provide 3 D information of reservoir, it is very important to improve resolution of seismic data. Here a method is put forward, by using inversion techniques, to improve the seismic data with the quality of higher resolution and lower noise. The specific character of this method is the usage of geologic rules in processing seismic data, which is quite different from the hypothesis of some deconvolution. There are always some assumptions about wavelet or reflect series in conventional deconvolution is not appropriate. Application of this method on seismic data from several oilfields show its effectivenese and efficency.SONG Jian guo, DU Shi tong and SUN Xi ping (Earth Resource and Information College,University of petroleum (East China), Dongying shandong 257062, China) 2001Geotectonica et Metallogenia2001,25,1:0
Development of Rural Banks in Yellow River Delta显示文摘The status quo of new-type rural financial institutions in the Yellow River delta is summarized. It is pointed out that these financial institutions have improved the development of economy concerning agriculture, rural areas and peasants, but due to the shortage of capital, deficit and many other reasons, the outlets is fewer, which can not serve the agriculture, rural areas and peasants well. The necessity of developing rural banks in the Yellow River delta is introduced:firstly, rural banks can serve the agriculture, rural areas and peasants well with flexible system and management methods.Secondly, rural banks can serve and support the vulnerable groups of the three rural issues concerning agriculture, countryside and famers well.Thirdly, rural banks provide strong support for the all around development of rural business concerning the agriculture, rural areas and peasants.Fourthly, rural banks have significant advantages in serving the agriculture, rural areas and peasants. The probability of developing rural banks in the Yellow River delta is analyzed from the three advantages of policy, environment and economy. The challenges faced by the development of rural banks are studied as follows:firstly, the short-term profits are hard to take effect.Secondly, the capital quantity of rural banks is large.Thirdly, the pressure of competition and operation is great. Thus the countermeasures of developing rural banks in the Yellow River delta are put forward:for instance, clarifying the service object in a certain area;using the minority to bring along the majority;reducing the risk of asymmetric information by information technology.SUN Jin-feng1,ZHOU Xue-sheng2 1.College of Economy and Management,China University of Petroleum(East China),Dongying 257061,China 2.Sunshine Village and Town Bank,Qianguo County,Songyuan 131100,China 2010Asian Agricultural Research2010,2,3:0

Hierarchical pomegranate-structure design enables stress management for volume release of Si anode显示文摘Si is a promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries owing to its high theoretical capacity.How-ever,large stress during(de)lithiation induces severe structural pulverization, electrical contact failure, and unstable solid-electrolyte interface, which hampers the practical application of Si anode.Herein,a Si-based anode with a hierarchical pomegranate-structure(HPS-Si)was designed to modulate the stress variation, and a sub-micronized Si-based sphere was assembled by the nano-sized Si nanospheres with sub-nanometer-sized multi-phase modification of the covalently linked SiO_(2-x),SiC,and carbon. The sub-micronized HPS-Si stacked with Si nanospheres can avoid agglomerates during cycling due to the high surface energy of nanomaterials.Meanwhile, the reasonable pore structure from SiO_(2) reduction owing to density difference is enough to accommodate the limited volume expansion. The Si spheres with a size of about 50 nm can prevent self-cracking.SiO_(2-x),and SiC as flexible and rigid layers, have been syner-gistically used to reduce the surface stress of conductive carbon layers to avoid cracking. The covalent bonding immensely strengthens the link of the modification with Si nanospheres, thus resisting stress effects.Consequently,a full cell comprising an HPS-Si anode and a LiCoO_(2) cathode achieved an energy density of 415 Wh kg^(-1) with a capacity retention ratio of 87.9%after 300 cycles based on the active ma-terials.It is anticipated that the hierarchical pomegranate-structure design can provide inspiring insights for further studies of the practical application of silicon anode.Fang Di Zhenxing Wang Chong Ge Lixiang Li Xin Geng Chengguo Sun Haiming Yang Weimin Zhou Dongying Ju Baigang An Feng Li 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,26:0
