Liquid Crystal Motion Picture Projector显示文摘LiquidCrystalMotionPictureProjector①SHIYongji(LuoyangTechnologyColege,Luoyang471003,CHN)Abstract:Aliquidcrystalmovingpicturep... | SHI Yongji(Luoyang Technology College,Luoyang 471003,CHN)Abstract: A liquid crystal moving picture projector and method are described.Light incident on a liquid crystal display-type device is selectively scattered or transmitted by respective portions of liquid crystal display, and a projection mechanism projects an image formed by either such scattered light or such transmitted light.A liquid crystal moving picture projector includes a liquid crystal display for creating characteristics of an image, and projecttion optics for projecting images sequentially created by the display. The display includes a liquid crystal material capable of temporary storing information at respective areas. The temporary storage may be a function of charge storing directly on liquid crystal material.A method of projecting plural images in sequence includes:creating an image or characteristics of an image in a liquid crystal material, storing such image in such liquid crystal material, directing light at such liquid crystal material, projecting such image as a function of light transmitted through or scattered by such liquid crystal material, and creating a further image in such liquid crystal material for subsequent projection. | 1997 | Semiconductor Photonics and Technology1997,3,3: | 35
Analysis of microwave brightness temperature of lunar surface and inversion of regolith layer thickness:Primary results of Chang-E 1 multi-channel radiometer observation显示文摘In China's first lunar exploration project, Chang-E 1 (CE-1), a multi-channel microwave radiometer was aboard the satellite, with the purpose of measuring microwave brightness temperature from lunar surface and surveying the global distribution of lunar regolith layer thickness. In this paper, the primary 621 tracks of swath data measured by Chang-E 1 microwave radiometer from November 2007 to February 2008 are collected and analyzed. Using nearest neighbor interpolation based on the sun incidence angle in observations, global distributions of microwave brightness temperature from lunar surface at lunar daytime and nighttime are constructed. Using the three-layer model (the top dust-soil, regolith and underlying rock media) for microwave thermal emission of lunar surface, the measurements of brightness temperature and dependence upon latitude, frequency and FeO+TiO2 content, etc. are discussed. On the basis of the ground measurements at Apollo landing sites, the observed brightness temperature at these locations are validated and calibrated by numerical three-layer modeling. Using the empirical dependence of physical temperature upon the latitude verified by the measurements at Apollo landing sites, the global distribution of regolith layer thickness is then inverted from the brightness temperature data of CE-1 at 3 GHz channel. Those inversions at Apollo landing sites are com- pared with the Apollo in situ measurements. Finally, the statistical property of regolith thickness distribution is analyzed and discussed. | FA WenZhe & JIN YaQiu Key Laboratory of Wave Scattering and Remote Sensing Information (MoE), Fudan University, Shanghai 200433, China | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,1: | 8
Preliminary Discussion on the Relationship Between EM Wave Propagation Characteristics and Medium Parameters in Anisotropic Medium显示文摘The reflection and transmission characteristics of an anisotropic half-space medium normally illuminated by aplane wave are analyzed by kDB coordination. The general formula of reflection coefficient at the air-medium interface isgiven, and its validity is also discussed. The possible propagating modes in different mediums and the effect of medium pa-rameters on these modes are emphatically studied. This work provides the theoretical preparations for the parameter recon-struction of an anisotropic material. | Guo Huiping & Liu Xueguan Dept. of Communication and Electronics, Suzhou University, Suzhou 215021, P. | 4 | Monitoring the sandstorm during spring season 2002 and desertification in northern China using SSM/I data and Getis statistics显示文摘A massive sandstorm enveloped most part of northern China during the spring season 2002. Monitoring the evolution of sandstorm and desertification has become one of the most serious problems for China's environment. Since 1989, one of the most advanced and operational passive microwave sensors is the DMSP SSM/I (special sensor microwave imager) operated at seven channels (19, 37, 85 GHz with the vertical and horizontal polarization and 22 GHz with vertical polarization only). In this paper, the sandstorm and desertification indexes, SDI and DI, are derived from the radiative transfer equation, and are employed with multi-channel measurements of the DMSP SSM/I for monitoring the sandstorm and desertification in northern China. Some SSM/I data in 1997 and 2001 are employed. The algorithm of Getis statistics is developed to categorize the spatial correlation and its evolution these days. It is demonstrated that the SSM/I indexes, SDI and DI, and its Getis statistics are well applicable for monitoring the sandstorm and desertification. | JIN Yaqiu and YAN Fenghua(Center for Wave Scattering and Remote Sensing, School of Information Science & Engineering, Fudan University, Shanghai 200433, China) | 2003 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2003,13,5: | 2
Numerical simulation of the radar echo from a ship in ocean clutter显示文摘A comprehensive approach which combines the generalized forward-backward method (GFBM) with the spectral acceleration algorithm (SAA) is developed. The angular radar echo from a rough ocean surface with a ship present, and with the transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) components incidencing at low grazing angle, is numerically simulated; and its functional dependences upon the polarization, observation angle, sea surface wind speed, ship location and other parameters are analyzed. | LI Zhongxin and JIN Yaqiu(Center for Wave Scattering and Remote Sensing, Fudan University, Shanghai 200433, China) | 2002 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2002,12,3: | 2
An inverse method for underwater bottom topographyby using SAR imagery显示文摘Interaction between current and underwater bottom topography leads to roughness of the sea surface, which in turn yields variation of the radar scattering echo. By using the continuity equation and weak hydrodynamic interaction theory in the relaxation time approximation, the spatial variation of the radar scattering cross-section has been proved as proportional to the gradient of current velocity. The current direction is first determined by using two-dimensional (2-D) correlation of spatial variation of backscattering measured by the SAR imagery, as the priori knowledge of the current direction is not available. The inverse algorithm to successively derive 2 - D underwater bottom topography from the SAR imagery is developed. As an application, the SAR SIR- C image over the sea area of Hong Kong, China is studied. | Jin Yaqiu, Zhang Wei (Center for Wave Scattering and Remote Sensing,Fudan University, Shanghai 200433, China) | 2000 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2000,19,4: | 2

A NEW MOMENT METHOD FOR THE FAST AND ACCURATE ANALYSIS OF NORMAL MODE HELICAL ANTENNAS显示文摘In this letter, a new moment method using helical segments is presented to model Normal Mode Helical Antenna (NMHA). Using this method, the NMHA can be modeled by a few segments. The current distributions and radiation patterns of some NMHAs are calculated.A comparison is made between results obtained using this helical segment algorithm and a linear segment algorithm, and the results of the two algorithms agree fairly well. When calculating the impedance matrix [Z], all the elements of the matrix can be obtained by only calculating a few elements with the application of the symmetric and periodic characteristics of the NMHA.Therefore, the CPU time and the memory storage are significantly reduced, with the accuracy and speed enhanced. | Ji Yicai Sun Baohua Liu Qizhong (Institute of Antennas and EM Scattering, Xidian University, Xi’an 710071) | 2001 | Journal of Electronics(China)2001,18,4: | 2

Neutron diffraction study of Er_2Fe_(15)Al_2 and Er_2Fe_(12)Al_5显示文摘The crystallographic and magnetic structures of Er2Fe15Al2 and Er2Fe12Al5 have been refined in Gaussian peak-shape by Rietveld analysis of Neutron diffrac- tion data. The refined results indicated that Er2Fe15Al2 compound has Th2Ni17-type hexagonal structure (space group: P63/mmc) and Er2Fe12Al5 has Th2Zn17-type rhom- bohedral structure (space group:R 3m). The Al atoms prefer 12j and 12k sites with occupancies 0.21 and 0.13, respectively, in Er2Fe15Al2 and prefer 18f, 18h and 6c sites with occupancies 0.35, 0.36 and 0.37, respectively, in Er2Fe12Al5. The magnetic mo- ments of all Fe atoms display ferromagnetically arrangement and the moments of Er atoms couple ferrimagnetically to the moments of the Fe atoms. The moments lie in the plane perpendicular to the six-fold axis and exhibit planar magnetic anisotropy in both samples. The values of To were given and the neutron refined results coincide with that of the magnetic measurements. The relation between magnetic properties and structures was discussed. | CHEN Dong-Feng SUN Kai GOU Cheng YE Chun-Tang ZHANG Huan-Qiao (Neutron Scattering Laboratory, China Institute of Atomic Energy, Beijing 102413) SHEN Bao-Gen ZHANG Jun-Xian CHENG Zhao-Hua YAN Qi-Wei ZHANG Pan-Lin (State Key Laboratory of Magnetism and Ce | 2000 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2000,11,1: | 1
