| 1 | First dark matter search results from the PandaX-Ⅰ experiment显示文摘We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground Laboratory.In the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was found.This result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental results.The minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level. | XIAO MengJiao XIAO Xiang ZHAO Li CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. | 3 | Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). | 9 | Surface charge-convertible quaternary ammonium salt-based micelles for in vivo infection therapy显示文摘Quaternary ammonium salts(QASs) are excellent candidates for treating stubborn bacterial infections caused by biofilms due to their high sterilization efficiency and potential inhibition of the development of drug resistance.However,the inherent toxicity of QASs,including cytotoxicity,protein absorption and hemolysis,severely limits their applications in vivo.Herein,a charge-co nvertible quaternary ammonium salt-based micelle(QAS-SL@CM) was constructed by co-assembly of two amphiphiles with opposite charges and shell cross-linking strategy.The toxicity of the QAS-SL@CM could be greatly reduced towa rds human cells contrast to the corresponding QASs.By response to the acidic environment at infection sites,the surface charge of QAS-SL@CM could be immediately changed to positive and then target to negatively charged bacteria.Furthermo re,β-thiopropionate bonds on QAS-SL@CM could also be disintegrated under acid environment to release QASs to kill bacteria.Importantly,the QAS-SL@CM showed significant therapeutic effect in mice subcutaneous abscesses models without interference with normal cells.Therefore,a surface adaptive micelle constructed by charge-convertible strategy has been developed to ove rcome the cytotoxicity of QAS s,and could intelligently respond to the microenvironment of infected wound for in vivo infection therapy,which shows promising application in clinic. | Dengfeng He Yifeng Tan Pengfei Li Yadong Luo Yuhong Zhu Yunlong Yu Jiali Chen Ning Ning Shiyong Zhang | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,5: | 1 |

| 14 | Cross-linked lipoic acid nanocapsules serve as H_(2)O_(2) amplifier to strengthen the H_(2)O_(2)-sensitive prodrug activation显示文摘The H_(2)O_(2) -triggered prodrug activation represents a hot topic while the low H_(2)O_(2) level of cancer cells hindered the complete activation of parent drugs and resulted in the poor therapeutic effect. Here, we developed an H_(2)O_(2) amplifier fabricated by crosslinked lipoic acid nanocapsules(cLANCs), which would selectively elevate the intracellular H_(2)O_(2) level of cancer cells 3.4-fold higher than that of untreated cancer cells so as to speed up the activation of parent drug from the loaded prodrugs(Pro-5-FU). The cytotoxicity showed that the killing effect of Pro-5-FU loaded in cLANCs(Pro-5-FU@cLANCs) arrived up to 1.6-time higher than that of Pro-5-FU alone against A549 cells, and was even close to free 5-FU. The in vivo anticancer evaluation gave the tumor inhibition rate(TIR) and survival rate(SR) of Pro-5-FU@cLANCs against A549 tumor-bearing nude mice up to 73.1% and 80%,respectively, much higher than those of Pro-5-FU(TIR: 41.2%, SR: 20%) or free 5-FU(TIR: 50.6%, SR: 0%). | 15 | Pressure-tuning domain-wall chirality in noncentrosymmetric magnetic Weyl semimetal CeAlGe显示文摘Topological magnetic Weyl semimetals have been proposed to host controllable chiral domain walls which bear a great prospect in device applications. To exploit them in applications, it is important to have a proper way to tune and manipulate these domain walls. One possible means is through magnetoelastic coupling. The involvement of rare earth in the lately proposed RAl X(R =rare earth, X = Si and Ge) family magnetic Weyl semimetals may provide such a platform. Here we present the transport and thermodynamic properties of Ce Al Ge under hydrostatic pressure. We find that pressure enhances the antiferromagnetic exchange in Ce Al Ge but essentially retains its magnetic structure. A large topological Hall effect with a pronounced loop shape is observed within the magnetically ordered state, and it splits into two regions under pressure. Such an unusual electromagnetic response is inferred to be a consequence of chiral magnetic domain walls. | 17 | High-performance cascade nanoreactor based on halloysite nanotubes-integrated enzyme-nanozyme microsystem显示文摘Various enzymatic reactions or enzymatic cascade reactions occur efficiently in biological microsystems due to space constraints or orderly transfer of intermediate products. Inspired by this, the horseradish peroxidase(HRP)-like nanozyme(Fe-aminoclay) was in situ synthesized on the surface of alkali-activated halloysite nanotubes and the natural enzyme(glucose oxidase, GOx) was immobilized on it to construct a high-efficiency GOx-Fe AC@AHNTs cascade nanoreactor. In which, Fe AC@AHNTs can not only be used as a carrier for immobilized enzymes, but also help its catalytic activity to cooperate with glucose oxidase in a cascade reaction. The microcompartments and substrate channel effect of this enzyme-nanozyme microsystem exhibit a superior catalytic performance than that of natural enzyme system, and exhibits excellent long-term stability and recyclability. Subsequently, the GOx-Fe AC@AHNTs cascade nanoreactor was employed as a glucose colorimetric platform, which displayed a low detection limit(0.47 μmol/L)in glucose detection. | 18 | Electronic structure evolution accompanying heavy fermion formation in CeCu2Si2显示文摘The cooper pairs in the heavy-fermion superconductor CeCu2Si2 are formed of heavy fermions.Therefore,the heavy fermions are fundamental to the emergence of unconventional superconductivity and associated non-Fermi-liquid behavior in the normal state.The interplay between localization and itinerancy manifested on the electronic structure is key for understanding the heavyfermion behavior.Here,via the first-principle density functional theory(DFT)combined with single-site dynamical mean-field theory(DMFT),we investigate the temperature(T)evolution of the electronic structure of CeCu2Si2 in the normal state,focusing on the role of the 4f states in the low energy regime.Two characteristic temperature scales of this evolution,which accompanied the heavy-fermion formation,are established.The coherence onset temperature is around 130K,whereas the heavy-fermion band formation temperature is between 40 and 80K;both characteristic temperature scales are higher than the transport coherence temperature.Furthermore,the heavy-fermion formation is confirmed by calculating its effective mass variation with the temperature.Based on the calculated T-dependent evolution of the 4 f orbital occupancy and electronic structure,an explanation on the behavior of the temperature evolution of the correlation strength of CeCu2Si2 is provided.Our results offer a comprehensive microscopic picture of the heavy-fermion formation in CeCu2Si2,which is essential for further understanding the emergent superconducting pairing mechanism. | XueBing Luo Yun Zhang QiuYun Chen Qin Liu LiZhu Luo ShiYong Tan XieGang Zhu XinChun Lai | 2020 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,8: | 0 |
| 19 | Electronic structure of La (0001) thin films on W (110) studied by photoemission spectroscopy and first principle calculations显示文摘Surface states that have a dz2 symmetry around the center of the surface Brillouin zone(BZ)have been regarded common in closely-packed surfaces of rare-earth metals.In this work,we report the electronic structure of dhcp La(0001)thin films by ultrahigh energy resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy(ARPES)and first principle calculations.Our first principle analysis is based on the many-body approach,therefore,density function theory(DFT)combined with dynamic mean-field theory(DMFT).The experimentally observed Fermi surface topology and band structure close to the Fermi energy qualitatively agree with first principle calculations when using a renormalization factor of between 2 and 3 for the DFT bands.Photon energy dependent ARPES measurements revealed clear kZ dependence for the hole-like band around the BZ center,previously regarded as a surface state.The obtained ARPES results and theoretical calculations suggest that the major bands of dhcp La(0001)near the Fermi level originate from the bulk La 5d orbits as opposed to originating from the surface states. | XingYu Ji QiuYun Chen XinChun Lai Li Huang ShiYong Tan | 2020 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,6: | 0 |
