| 1 | Spin-decoupled metasurface for simultaneous detection of spin and orbital angular momenta via momentum transformation显示文摘With inherent orthogonality,both the spin angular momentum(SAM)and orbital angular momentum(OAM)of photons have been utilized to expand the dimensions of quantum information,optical communications,and information processing,wherein simultaneous detection of SAMs and OAMs with a single element and a single-shot measurement is highly anticipated.Here,a single azimuthal-quadratic phase metasurface-based photonic momentum transformation(PMT)is illustrated and utilized for vortex recognition.Since different vortices are converted into focusing patterns with distinct azimuthal coordinates on a transverse plane through PMT,OAMs within a large mode space can be determined through a single-shot measurement.Moreover,spin-controlled dual-functional PMTs are proposed for simultaneous SAM and OAM sorting,which is implemented by a single spin-decoupled metasurface that merges both the geometric phase and dynamic phase.Interestingly,our proposed method can detect vectorial vortices with both phase and polarization singularities,as well as superimposed vortices with a certain interval step.Experimental results obtained at several wavelengths in the visible band exhibit good agreement with the numerical modeling.With the merits of ultracompact device size,simple optical configuration,and prominent vortex recognition ability,our approach may underpin the development of integrated and high-dimensional optical and quantum systems. | Yinghui Guo Shicong Zhang Mingbo Pu Qiong He Jinjin Jin Mingfeng Xu Yaxin Zhang Ping Gao Xiangang Luo | 2021 | Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,4: | 14 |

| 3 | Soil Nutrient Variance by Slope Position in a Mollisol Farmland Area of Northeast China显示文摘In order to generate scientifically-based comparative information to improve fertilization efficiency and reduce nutrient loss, 610 samples of 122 soil profiles were collected at the 0–60 cm depth to compare soil nutrient contents including soil organic matter(SOM), total nitrogen(TN), total phosphorus(TP), available phosphorus(AP), and available potassium(AK) among different slope positions in a Mollisol farmland area of Northeast China. The contents of SOM and TN typically decreased with increased soil depth at back and bottom slope. Soil loss and deposition tended to decrease SOM and TN at the 0–20 cm soil depth on both the back slope and the slope bottom. The TP firstly decreased from 0–20 cm to 30–40 cm, and then not constantly increased at the back slope and the bottom slope. Due to the characteristics of soil nutrients and crop absorption, the contents of both AP and AK were typically the highest at the summit, followed by the slope bottom and the back slope in the 0–20 cm layer. | 4 | The role of personality,social economic and prevention strategy effects on health-related quality of life among people living with HIV/AIDS显示文摘Background::HIV/AIDS has transformed into a chronic controllable but not yet curable infectious disease as other chronic diseases to some extent.The additional of so called fourth 90%that included the improved health-related quality of life(HRQoL)for people living with HIV(PLWHIV)required solutions beyond antiretroviral therapy and viral load suppression.This study will explore the role of personality,social economic and prevention strategy effection on HRQoL among people living with HIV/AIDS.Methods::A cross-sectional study was conducted among PLWHIV aged more than 16 years old in the 10 municipalities in Yunnan Province,China from October 2019 to May 2020,enrolling total 1997 participants.Individual-level HRQoL data were measured by 12-item Short Form Health Survey(SF-12)and EuroQol Five Dimensions Questionnaire(EQ-5D-5L).We assembled municipal-level data about social economic from Yunnan Statistical Yearbook in 2020 and strategy practice information from the self-evaluation system.We used the principal component analysis to build the social economic and strategy effect on each area respectively and one-way ANOVA was used to perform univariate analysis to identify the predictors with significant differences.Finally we used multi-level model(MLM)to explore the personality,social economic and strategy effects in health-related quality of life among PLWHIV.Results::The global score for quality of life measured using EQ-5D-5L had an estimated mean score(standard deviation,SD)of 0.901±0.146.The HRQoL score measured using PCS-12 had an estimated mean score(SD)of 46.62±8.55.The mean MCS-12 score(SD)was estimated to be 47.80±9.71.The area-level predictors explained a proportion of 13.6-17.2%for the between-area variation of the HRQoL scores,regardless of the total HRQoL,physical component and mental component.The impacts of stigma(P<0.01),social support(P<0.001),anxiety(P<0.001),depression(P<0.05)and social economic status(P<0.05)on HRQoL at the individual-level were significantly different.The plots visualized the impact of individual-level factors on a respondent’s HRQoL was modified by the area-level characteristics.Conclusions::The study identified the possible strategy determinant of individual HRQoL of PLWHIV and also the area effect on HRQoL.Stigma,social support,anxiety,depression and social economic status were the individual-level determinants on HRQoL.These could be a valuable resource for evaluating the overall health of the areas and help improve local decision making. | Xiaowen Wang Hongbing Luo Enlong Yao RenhaiTang Wenbin Dong Fuyong Liu Jun Liang Huilan Li Minyang Xiao Zuyang Zhang Jin Niu Lijun Song Liru Fu Xuehua Li Shicong Qian Qing Guo Zhizhong Song | 2021 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2021,10,4: | 3 |
| 5 | Comprehensive energy, economic, environmental assessment of a building integrated photovoltaic-thermoelectric system with battery storage for net zero energy building显示文摘To realize the goal of net zero energy building(NZEB),the integration of renewable energy and novel design of buildings is needed.The paths of energy demand reduction and additional energy supply with renewables are separated.In this study,those two are merged into one integration.The concept is based on the combination of photovoltaic,thermoelectric modules,energy storage and control algorithms.Five types of building envelope systems,namely PV+TE(S1),Grid+TE(S2),PV+Grid+TE(S3),PV+Battery+TE(S4)and PV+Grid+Battery+TE(S5)are studied,from aspects of energy,economic and environmental(E3)performance.The new envelope systems can achieve thermal load reduction while providing additional cooling/heating supply,which can promote advance of NZEBs.It is found that there is a typical optimum setting of thermal energy load for each one of them with minimum annual power consumption.Except for the S1 system,the rest can realize negative accumulated power consumption in a year-round operation,which means the thermal load of building envelope could be zero.The uniform annual cost for S1 to S5 under interest rate of 0.04 are 19.78,14.77,23.83,60.53,64.94$/m2,respectively.The S5 system has the highest environmental effect with 3.04 t/m2 reduction of CO_(2) over 30 years of operation. | Yongqiang Luo Nan Cheng Shicong Zhang Zhiyong Tian Guozhi Xu Xinyan Yang Jianhua Fan | 2022 | Building Simulation2022,15,11: | 2 |

| 8 | Auxin signaling module OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF regulates grain yield traits in rice显示文摘Auxin is an important phytohormone in plants, and auxin signaling pathways in rice play key roles in regulating its growth, development, and productivity. To investigate how rice grain yield traits are regulated by auxin signaling pathways and to facilitate their application in rice improvement, we validated the functional relationships among regulatory genes such as OsIAA10, OsSK41, and OsARF21 that are involved in one of the auxin(OsIAA10) signaling pathways. We assessed the phenotypic effects of these genes on several grain yield traits across two environments using knockout and/or overexpression transgenic lines.Based on the results, we constructed a model that showed how grain yield traits were regulated by OsIAA10 and OsTIR1, OsAFB2, and OsSK41 and OsmiR393 in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module and by OsARF21 in the transcriptional regulation of downstream auxin response genes in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module. The population genomic analyses revealed rich genetic diversity and the presence of major functional alleles at most of these loci in rice populations. The strong differentiation of many major alleles between Xian/indica and Geng/japonica subspecies and/or among modern varieties and landraces suggested that they contributed to improved productivity during evolution and breeding. | 9 | The effect of soil moisture on the response by fungi and bacteria to nitrogen additions for N_(2)O production显示文摘In addition to bacteria,the contribution of fungi to nitrous oxide(N_(2)O)production has been recognized but the responses of these two broad and unrelated groups of microorganisms to global environmental changes,atmospheric nitrogen(N)deposition,and precipitation in terms of N_(2)O production are unclear.We studied how these two microbial-mediated N_(2)O production pathways responded to soil moisture conditions and to N addition in an N-limited temperate forest.Soils from a long-term N addition experiment in Changbai Mountain,northeastern China were incubated.Varied concentrations of cycloheximide and streptomycin,both inhibitors of fungal and bacterial activity,were used to determine the contributions of both to N_(2)O production in 66%,98%and 130%water-filled pore spaces(WFPS).The results showed that N_(2)O production decreased significantly with increasing cycloheximide concentration whereas streptomycin was only inhibiting N_(2)O emissions at 98%and 130%WFPS.The bacterial pathway of N_(2)O production in N-addition(Nadd)soil was significantly more dominant than that in untreated(Namb)soil.The difference in the fungal pathway of N_(2)O production between the soil with nitrogen addition and the untreated soil was not significant.Net N_(2)O emissions increased with increasing soil moisture,especially at 130%WFPS,a completely flooded condition.Bacteria dominated carbon dioxide(CO_(2))and N_(2)O emissions in Nadd soil and at 130%WFPS regardless of N status,while fungi dominated CO_(2)and N_(2)O emissions in soil without N addition at 66%and 98%WFPS.The results suggest that flooded soil is an important source of N_(2)O emissions and that bacteria might be better adapted to compete in fertile soils under anoxic conditions. | Lei Zhang Junqiang Zheng Xu Han Junhui Zhang Chengxu Li Shicong Geng Shijie Han | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,5: | 1 |
| 10 | Effects of anchoring groups on perylenemonoimide-based sensitizers for p-type dye-sensitized solar cells and photoelectrochemical cells显示文摘In this work, two new dyes YK-1 and YK-2 with carboxylic acid and hydroxamic acid as anchoring groups,respectively, in combination with diphenylamine as donor and perylenemonoimide as acceptor were synthesized and applied in p-type dye-sensitized solar cells(p-DSCs) and dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical cells(PEC). The results showed that the sensitizer(YK-1) based on carboxylic acid displayed a higher conversion efficiency of 0.064% under AM 1.5 solar conditions in p-DSCs. However, it was interesting that the hydroxamic acid based sensitizer(YK-2) on Ni O photocathode displayed better performance in a hydrophilic environment over a broad p H range under visible-light irradiation because of a versatile covalent attachment to Ni O surfaces. This may be ascribed to hydroxamic acid anchors, which have more sites interacting with the surface of Ni O in aqueous solution. | 11 | A High-Elasticity Router Architecture with Software Data Plane and Flow Switching Plane Separation显示文摘Routers have traditionally been architected as two elements: forwarding plane and control plane through For CES or other protocols. Each forwarding plane aggregates a fixed amount of computing, memory, and network interface resources to forward packets. Unfortunately, the tight coupling of packet-processing tasks with network interfaces has severely restricted service innovation and hardware upgrade. In this context, we explore the insightful prospect of functional separation in forwarding plane to propose a next-generation router architecture, which, if realized, can provide promises both for various packet-processing tasks and for flexible deployment while solving concerns related to the above problems. Thus, we put forward an alternative construction in which functional resources within a forwarding plane are disaggregated. A forwarding plane is instead separated into two planes: software data plane(SDP) and flow switching plane(FSP), and each plane can be viewed as a collection of 'building blocks'. SDP is responsible for packet-processing tasks without its expansibility restricted with the amount and kinds of network interfaces. FSP is in charge of packet receiving/transmitting tasks and can incrementally add switching elements, such as general switches, or even specialized switches, to provide network interfaces for SDP. | 12 | Pressure-induced evolution of stoichiometries and electronic structures of host-guest Na-B compounds显示文摘Superionic and electride behaviors in materials,which induce a variety of exotic physical properties of ions and electrons,are of great importance both in fundamental research and for practical applications.However,their coexistence in hot alkali-metal borides has not been observed.In this work,we apply first-principles structure search calculations to identify eight Na-B compounds with host-guest structures,which exhibit a wide range of building blocks and interesting properties linked to the Na/B composition.Among the known borides,Na-rich Na9B stands out as the composition with the highest alkali-metal content,featuring vertex-and face-sharing BNa16 polyhedra.Notably,it exhibits electride characteristics and transforms into a superionic electride at 200 GPa and 2000 K,displaying unusual Na atomic diffusion behavior attributed to the modulation of the interstitial anion electrons.It demonstrates semiconductor behavior in the solid state,and metallic properties associated with Na 3p/3s states in the superionic and liquid regions.On the other hand,B-rich NaB7,consisting of a unique covalent B framework,is predicted to exhibit low-frequency phonon-mediated superconductivity with a T_(c) of 16.8 K at 55 GPa.Our work advances the understanding of the structures and properties of alkali-metal borides. | Zixuan Guo Xing Li Aitor Bergara Shicong Ding Xiaohua Zhang Guochun Yang | 2023 | Matter and Radiation at Extremes2023,8,6: | 0 |

| 14 | Photo-driven water splitting photoelectrochemical cells by tandem organic dye sensitized solar cells with I-/I3- as redox mediator显示文摘Dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical tandem cells have shown the promise for light driven hydrogen production from water owing to the low cost,wide absorption spectra in the visible region and ease to process of their constitutive photoelectrode materials.However,most photo-driven water splitting photoelectrochemical cells driven by organic dye sensitized solar cells exhibit unsatisfactory hydrogen evolution rate,primarily attributed to their poor light capturing ability and low photocurrent performance.Here we present the construction of a tandem system consisting of an organic blue-colored S5 sensitizer-based dyesensitized photoelectrochemical cell(DSPEC) wired in series with three spectral-complemental dyes BTA-2,APP-3 and APP-1 sensitizers-based dye-sensitized solar cell(DSC),respectively.The two spectral-complemental chromophores were used in DSC and DSPEC to ensure that the full solar spectrum could be absorbed as much as possible.The results showed that the photocurrent of tandem device was closely related to the open-circuit voltage(Voc) of sensitized DSC,in which the tandem configuration consisting of S5 based DSPEC and BTA-2 based DSC gave the best photocurrent.On this basis,tandem device with the only light energy and no external applied electrical bias was further constructed of BTA-2 based 2-junction DSC and S5 based DSPEC and obtained a photocurrent of 500 μA cm-2 for hydrogen generation.Furthermore,I-/I3-was used as a redox couple between dye regeneration and O2 production on the surface of Pt-IrO2/WO3.The strategy opens up the application of pure organic dyes in DSC/DSPEC tandem device. | Shicong Zhang Haonan Ye Haoran Ding Fengtao Yu Jianli Hua | 2020 | Science China Chemistry2020,63,2: | 0 |
| 15 | 4-methylumbelliferone (4-MU) enhances drought tolerance of apple by regulating rhizosphere microbial diversity and root architecture显示文摘The dwarfing rootstocks-mediated high-density apple orchard is becoming the main practice management.Currently,dwarfing rootstocks are widely used worldwide,but their shallow root system and drought sensitivity necessitate high irrigation requirements.Here,the root transcriptome and metabolome of dwarfing(M9-T337,a drought-sensitive rootstock)and vigorous rootstocks(Malus sieversii,a drought-tolerant species,is commonly used as a rootstock)showed that a coumarin derivative,4-Methylumbelliferon(4-MU),was found to accumulate significantly in the roots of vigorous rootstock under drought condition.When exogenous 4-MU was applied to the roots of dwarfing rootstock under drought treatment,the plants displayed increased root biomass,higher root-to-shoot ratio,greater photosynthesis,and elevated water use efficiency.In addition,diversity and structure analysis of the rhizosphere soil microbial community demonstrated that 4-MU treatment increased the relative abundance of putatively beneficial bacteria and fungi.Of these,Pseudomonas,Bacillus,Streptomyces,and Chryseolinea bacterial strains and Acremonium,Trichoderma,and Phoma fungal strains known for root growth,or systemic resistance against drought stress,were significantly accumulated in the roots of dwarfing rootstock after 4-MU treatment under drought stress condition.Taken together,we identified a promising compound—4-MU,as a useful tool,to strengthen the drought tolerance of apple dwarfing rootstock. | Dehui Zhang Jieqiang He Pengda Cheng Yutian Zhang Abid Khan Shicong Wang Zhongxing Li Shuang Zhao Xiangqiang Zhan Fengwang Ma Xuewei Li Qingmei Guan | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,7: | 0 |
