3Genome-wide analysis reveals selection for Chinese Rongchang pigs显示文摘Livestock have undergone domestication and consequently strong selective pressure on genes or genomic regions that control desirable traits. To identify selection signatures in the genome of Chinese Rongchang pigs, we generated a total of about 170 Gb of DNA sequence data with about 6.4-fold coverage for each of six female individuals. By combining these data with the publically available genome data of 10 Asian wild boars,we identified 449 protein-coding genes with selection signatures in Rongchang pigs, which are mainly involved in growth and hormone binding, nervous system development, and drug metabolism. The accelerated evolution of these genes may contribute to the dramatic phenotypic differences between Rongchang pigs and Chinese wild boars. 4Myristica fragrans promotes ABCA1 expression and cholesterol efflux in THP-1-derived macrophages显示文摘Myristica fragrans is a traditional herbal medicine and has been shown to alleviate the development of atherosclerosis.However,the anti-atherogenic mechanisms of M.fragrans are still to be addressed.In this study,we explored the effect of M.fragrans on lipid metabolism and inflammation and its mechanisms in THP-1-derived macrophages.The quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blot analysis results showed that M.fragrans promotes cholesterol efflux from THP-1-derived macrophages and reduces intracellular total cholesterol,cholesterol ester,and free cholesterol contents in a dose-and a time-dependent manner.Further study found that liver X receptor alpha(LXRα)antagonist GGPP significantly blocked the upregulation of ABCA1 expression with M.fragrans treatment.In addition,chromatin immunoprecipitation assay confirmed that GATA binding protein 3(GATA3)can bind to the LXRαpromoter,and inhibition of GATA3 led to the downregulation of LXRαand ATP-binding cassette subfamily A member 1 expression.Furthermore,M.fragrans reduced lipid accumulation,followed by decreasing tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-6,and IL-1βand increasing IL-10 produced by THP-1-derived macrophages.Therefore,M.fragrans is identified as a valuable therapeutic medicine for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.Shangming Liu Jiahui Gao Linhao He Zhenwang Zhao Gang Wang Jin Zou Li Zhou Xiangjun Wan Shilin Tang Chaoke Tang 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,1:2
5Atmospheric correction of Landsat data for the retrieval of sea surface temperature in coastal waters显示文摘A mono-window algorithm was introduced to retrieve sea surface temperature (SST) using Landsat data in coastal waters. In this algorithm, the effective mean air temperature and the water vapor content of air column were estimated with the local meteorological parameters of air temperature and relative humidity, based on the facts that in the troposphere, (1) air temperature decreases linearly with the altitude, and (2) water vapor content lapses exponentially with the altitude. The sea-truth temperature data and MODIS Terra SST product were used to validate the SST retrieved from Landsat TM and ETM+ thermal infrared (TIR) data with the algorithm. The results show that the algorithm can improve the spatial temperature contrast which is often masked due to water vapor effects, and the temperature derived from the algorithm is closer to the sea-truth SST. 10Synthesis and photocatalytic properties of lotus-rootlike Au-ZnO nanostructures显示文摘Unique lotus-rootlike Au-Zn O hybrid structures were obtained by controlling the deposition of pre-synthesized Au nano- crystals onto the surfaces of as-obtained Zn O structures. Zn O with lotus-rootlike structures was first prepared through a hydrothermal process. We also investigated the effects of various Au contents on the photocatalytic activities in detail. 11Influences of the Great Whirl on surface chlorophyll a concentration off the Somali Coast in 2017显示文摘The general features of the Great Whirl(GW)off the Somali Coast in 2017 and its influences on chlorophyll a(Chl a)concentration were studied by using satellite data and model outputs.Results show that GW,which initiated at7°N,53°E on June 13,had a lifetime of 153 d with an average amplitude of 16 cm and an average radius of 205 km.After the formation of GW,the concentration of Chl a in the interior of GW showed a downward trend throughout its life cycle,except in early July and mid-October.In early July,the Chl a blooms in the interior of GW were attributed to the combined effect of three processes.They are eddy horizontal transportation,the deepening of the mixed layer caused by the monsoon and eddy pumping,and the upward transportation of nutrients caused by eddy-induced Ekman pumping.In October,the Chl a blooms were probably due to the weakening of GW.During the period,water exchange occurred more frequently across the eddy,thus phytoplanktons were imported into the interior of GW.Lingxing Dai Bing Han Shilin Tang Chuqun Chen Yan Du 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,11:0
12A confined growth strategy to construct 3DOM SiO_(2) nanoreactor insitu embedded Co_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles catalyst for the catalytic combustion of VOCs:Superior H_(2)O and SO_(2) resistance显示文摘SO_(2)poisoning is a common problem in the catalytic combustion of volatile organic compounds(VOCs).In this work,we took three-dimensionally ordered macroporous and mesoporous(3DOM)SiO_(2)as the nanoreactor to protect active sites from SO_(2)erosion in the catalytic combustion of benzene.Simultaneously,the confined growth of metal active nanoparticles in the multi-stage pore is also full of challenges.And we successfully confined Co_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles(NPs)in macroporous and mesoporous channels.Interestingly,the precursors’growth in the pore was controlled and nanoreactors with different pore sizes were prepared by adjusting the loading amount and preparation methods.It is discovered that the Co_(3)O_(4)NPs confined in 3DOM SiO_(2)nanoreactor showed superior sulfur and water resistance.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations verified that the Co-Si catalyst had high SO_(2)adsorption energy(-0.48 eV),which illustrated that SO_(2)was hard to attach to the surface of the Co-Si catalyst.The SiO_(2)nanoreactor had low SO_(2)adsorption energy(-5.15 eV),which indicated that SO_(2)was easily absorbed on SiO_(2)nanoreactor.This illustrated that the SiO_(2)nanoreactor could protect effectively active sites from SO_(2)erosion.Weigao Han Shilin Wu Fang Dong Weiliang Han Yinghao Chu Linghui Su Zhicheng Tang 2024Nano Research2024,17,1:0
13Design of a fixed-pipe cold aerosol spraying system for chemical application in greenhouse显示文摘Since the high temperature and humidity in a closed environment,pests and diseases are infecting and spreading seriously in greenhouses.However,the prevention and control of pests and diseases in greenhouses are still dominated by knapsack sprayers.For those reasons,based on twin-fluid atomization,droplet dispersion,and constant pressure transportation technique,a fixed-pipe cold aerosol spraying system composed of the control unit and the fixed-pipe spraying unit comes into being.The indoor pipeline execution unit of the spraying system could be interfaced with the liquid-supply or gas-supply equipment such as the liquid pump,air compressor,and tank of the outdoor master control unit through a quick coupling,which could realize the separation of operator and sprayer in hermetic greenhouse.The atomization of twin-fluid nozzle and the droplet deposition and distribution of the spraying system in greenhouse were tested.Results showed that about 70%of the particle size of the twin-fluid flow nozzle concentrated in the range of 32-65μm under the spraying air pressure ranged from 0.2 MPa to 0.4 MPa.When the air pressure was 0.2 MPa,0.3 MPa,and 0.4 MPa,the wind speed at the nozzle outlet reached supersonic speed,as the corresponding VMD of droplets were 45.6μm,43.2μm,and 36.8μm,respectively.The higher the air pressure is,the more uniform the spray deposition is in the greenhouse.When the air pressure was 0.2 MPa,0.3 MPa,and 0.4 MPa,the CVs of the liquid deposition in the greenhouse were 109.1%,62.6%,and 35.4%,respectively.The droplets produced by the spraying system will rapidly disperse into the whole greenhouse.The average deposition was 2.99μL/cm2 in the front area of the nozzle,the deposition was 1.24μL/cm2 in the area between two nozzles,and the deposition was 0.58μL/cm2 in the area behind the nozzles.The spraying system is characterized by the distribution of spraying liquid throughout the entire greenhouse.Shilin Wang Daipeng Lu Xue Li Xiaohui Lei Yuxin Tang Xiaolan Lyu 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,1:0
14Selection and Molecular Biological Identification of a Strain of Bacillus sp. Inhibiting the Growth of Saprolegnia ferax显示文摘Based on the theory of biological control of Saprolegnia ferax,antagonism test of nine strains of Bacillus sp. to S. ferax JL was carried out. Bacillus sp.BA1 was screened to have significantly inhibitory effects on the growth of S. ferax JL( P < 0. 05). Then,the effects of Bacillus sp. BA1 on different sources of S. ferax were carried out. Results showed that BA1 also had significantly inhibitory effects on S. ferax 6#,10# and S2( P < 0. 05). Sequence of 16 S r DNA of BA1 was analyzed; and homologous alignment analysis showed that BA1 had more than 99% similarity with Bacillus cereus. 15Geochronology and Geochemistry of Ore-related Granitoids in the Giant Gariatong Rb Deposit,Tibet and Implications for Rb Metallogeny in China显示文摘Rubidium(Rb)deposits mostly occur in the South China and Central Asia orogenic belts and are often closely associated with highly differentiated granites.This study investigates a newly-discovered giant Rb deposit at Gariatong in the Central Lhasa terrane in Tibet.Detailed field studies and logging data revealed that the Rb mineralization mainly occurs in monzogranite and is related to greisenization.LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating of zircon yielded ages of 19.1±0.2 Ma and 19.0±0.2 Ma for greisenized monzogranite and fresh monzogranite,respectively.The monzogranites are characterized as strongly peraluminous,with high contents of SiO2,Al2O3,K2O and Na2O as well as a high differentiation index.They are enriched in light rare earth and large ion lithophile elements with significant negative Eu anomalies and depleted high fieldstrength elements.Petrological and geochemical features of these ore-related monzogranites suggest that they are highly fractionated S-type granites,derived from remelting of crustal materials in a post-collisional setting.The geochemistry of zircon and apatite points to a low oxygen fugacity of the ore-related monzogranite during the magma’s evolution.The discovery of the Gariatong Rb deposit suggests that the Central Lhasa terrane may be an important region for rare metal mineralization.LIN Bin TANG Juxing TANG Pan SUN Yan QI Jing MSANTOSH XIE Jinling DENG Shilin LI Faqiao XIE Fuwei ZHOU Aorigele 2024Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2024,98,1:0
