| 1 | Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. | 2 | Genome-wide identification and analysis of the DREB genes and their expression profiles under abiotic stresses in Chinese jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)显示文摘CBF/DREB proteins play a critical role in abiotic stress-mediated gene expression and represent attractive regulons for plant breeding programs.However,no study has been conducted for CBF/DREB protein-related genes in jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.).In this study,twenty-five ZjDREB genes were identified and annotated from the jujube(Z.jujuba‘Dongzao’)genome.Detailed analysis,including gene classification,annotation,phylogenetic evaluation,conserved motif determination and expression profiling were performed on all genes.Phylogenetic analysis showed that ZjDREB proteins were divided into five subgroups(A1–A5),but lacking a subgroup A6 corresponding to AtDREBs.The ZjDREB genes were distributed in nine of twelve chromosomes in the genome.Additionally,the expression patterns of the DREB genes under different abiotic stresses were investigated using q RT-PCR.Nineteen ZjDREB genes were down-regulated under low temperature,in contrast six ZjDREB genes(01,03,05,11,23 and 24)were up-regulated.Under drought,salinity and high temperature conditions,expression of ZjDREB03,09,10,14,15,17 and 20 genes were induced and showed similar expression patterns,suggesting that various stress conditions share common elements in the signaling pathway.The results suggest that the family of DREB genes play an important role in abiotic stresses in jujube,and provide a foundation for further functional studies of this important class of transcriptional regulators. | Heying Zhou Jiping Jia Decang Kong Zhendong Zhang Shuang Song Yingyue Li Xiaoming Pang | 2019 | Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,4: | 8 |
| 3 | Preliminary Study on Drug Susceptibility Profile and Resistance Mechanisms to Macrolides of Clinical Isolates of Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria from China显示文摘Objective Macrolide susceptibility and drug resistance mechanisms of clinical non-tuberculous mycobacteria(NTM) isolates were preliminarily investigated for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of the infection in China. Methods Four macrolides, including clarithromycin(CLAR), azithromycin(AZM), roxithromycin(ROX), and erythromycin(ERY), were used to test the drug susceptibility of 310 clinical NTM isolates from six provinces of China with the broth microdilution method. Two resistance mechanisms, 23 S r RNA and erm, were analyzed with nucleotide sequence analysis. Results Varied effectiveness of macrolides and species-specific resistance patterns were observed. Most Mycobacterium abscessus subsp. massiliense were susceptible and all M. fortuitum were highly resistant to macrolides. All the drugs, except for erythromycin, exhibited excellent activities against slow-growing mycobacteria, and drug resistance rates were below 22.2%. Only four highly resistant strains harbored 2,058/2,059 substitutions on rrl and none of other mutations were related to macrolide resistance. G2191 A and T2221 C on rrl were specific for the M. abscessus complex(MABC). Seven sites, G2140 A, G2210 C, C2217 G, T2238 C, T2322 C, T2404 C, and A2406 G, were specifically carried by M. avium and M. intracellulare. Three sites, A2192 G, T2358 G, and A2636 G, were observed only in M. fortuitum and one site G2152 A was specific for M. gordonae. The genes erm(39) and erm(41) were detected in M. fortuitum and M. abscessus and inducible resistance was observed in relevant sequevar. Conclusion The susceptibility profile of macrolides against NTM was demonstrated. | 4 | Comparative transcriptome analysis identifies differentially expressed genes between normal and late-blooming Siberian apricot显示文摘Blooming date is an important trait in fruit tree species.Although several quantitative trait loci confirming blooming date were identified in Prunus spp.,the molecular mechanism underlying it remains unclear.Arising from this,the transcriptomes of normal blooming and lateblooming Siberian apricot(P.sibirica L.)flower buds were analyzed using RNA-seq technology.A total of 68,855 unigenes were de novo assembled,among which 1204 were differentially expressed between normal and late blooming.Gene ontology enrichment analysis revealed that biological processes were enriched with metabolic processes.The catalytic-related gene transcripts between the two types of blooming were significantly changed in the molecular function.Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis showed that 156 genes were successfully annotated and 75 pathways enriched.Genes for gibberellin biosynthesis were up-regulated in normal blooming,whereas abscisic acid degradation-related genes were also up-regulated in normal blooming.Moreover,circadian rhythms related genes including EARLY FLOWERING 4,LATE ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL and CIRCANDIAN CLOCK ASSOCIATED1 were all up-regulated in normal blooming,indicating that circadian rhythms have a very important role in controlling blooming date.Furthermore,zinc finger protein CONSTANS-LIKE 12 was blasted onto the quantitative trait loci region on linkage group 4 in peach.However,changes in the abundance of key flowering genes such as SUPPRESSOR OF OVEREXPRESSION OF CONSTANS 1,FLOWERING LOCU T,LEAFY and FLOWERING LOCUS C were not significantly different,indicating that further investigation should explore the function of these genes on blooming date.The outcomes of this study will provide a valuable platform for further research on the molecular mechanism of blooming date in Prunus. | Zhe Wang Shuang Song Songbai Sheng Ju Tian Rongling Wu Xiaoming Pang | 2019 | Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,6: | 3 |

| 9 | Facile fabrication of branched-chain carbohydrate chips for studying carbohydrate-protein interactions by QCM biosensor显示文摘A novel approach for fabricating branched-chain(BC) carbohydrate chips to study carbohydrate-protein interactions using Quartz Crystal Microbalance(QCM) biosensor was developed. This approach utilizes functional alkynyl-branch molecule modified chip surfaces, which through the terminal alkynyl group for covalent linking of unprotected azide-carbohydrates. The unprotected azide-carbohydrates were syhthesized in one-step using 2-azido-1,3-dimethyl-imidazolinium as catalyst, avoiding complex chemical modifications. Additionally, the branch surface modified with the carbohydrates not only supplies more specific binding site but also reveals significant cluster effect. To exemplify the sugar cluster effect on BC carbohydrate chips, BC Galactose and Mannose chips prepared in this work were used to determine carbohydrate-lectin interactions using QCM biosensor. The results clearly showed that BC chip significantly improves the detection sensitivity compared with the straight-chain(SC) chip. | 19 | SER performance investigation of UWOC system over composite EGG oceanic turbulence fading channel with BSF显示文摘In this work,the symbol error rate(SER) performance of a relay-assisted underwater wireless optical communication(UWOC) system has been investigated over the composite exponential-generalized gamma(EGG) distribution with the beam spread function(BSF) under two hard decision schemes of fixed decision threshold(FDT) and dynamic decision threshold(DDT).Specifically,the oceanic turbulence is assumed to follow the EGG distribution,and the impacts of absorption,scattering and misalignment loss are characterized by BSF.The cumulative distribution function(CDF) of this UWOC system is derived with the max-min criterion as the best path selection scheme.And with the help of Gauss-Laguerre quadrature function,the analytical SER expressions for these two threshold schemes are then achieved and validated by Monte Carlo(MC) simulation.Moreover,the SER performance is further studied under different temperature gradients,bubble levels(BLs) and water salinity over three water types,as well as the system structure parameters.Results show that the UWOC system with DDT scheme can efficiently overcome the error floor induced by FDT scheme and demonstrates better SER performance.Furthermore,the SER performance would be improved with lower BL,temperature gradients and water salinity as well as the concentration of dissolved particles.This work will benefit the design and research of relay-assisted UWOC system. | YANG Pengfei PANG Weina LI Shuang WANG Ping CHEN Wenwen CHE Hui | 2022 | Optoelectronics Letters2022,18,10: | 0 |
