| 1 | Enhancing the leaching effect of an ion-absorbed rare earth ore by ameliorating the seepage effect with sodium dodecyl sulfate surfactant显示文摘Ameliorating the problem of low leaching efficiency,long leaching period,and high agent consumption should be studied to efficiently exploit ion-absorbed rare earth ore resources.In this study,the surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) is used to enhance the leaching effect of an ion-absorbed rare earth ore by ameliorating the seepage effect for the first time.The effects of surfactant concentration,leaching agent dosage,solution flow velocity,and solution pH on the leaching rate were explored,and the mechanism of SDS was discussed.Under the optimum conditions,the addition of a small amount of SDS(mass fraction0.04%) can increase the leaching rate by about 5%,shorten the leaching period,and reduce the consumption of the leaching agent.SDS significantly ameliorates the seepage effect of the ore body by reducing the surface tension of the leaching agent and ameliorating the wettability of the mineral surface.This effect is the main factor that improves the leaching efficiency.DFT(density functional theory) calculation results show that SDS can react with rare earth ions,which reduces the adsorption strength on clay mineral surfaces.Hence,rare earth ions are easily exchanged by ammonium ions,and mass transfer is enhanced. | Yongbing Zhang Boyuan Zhang Siqi Yang Zhigang Zhong Hepeng Zhou Xianping Luo | 2021 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,6: | 8 |
| 2 | Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells for psoriasis:a phase 1/2a,single-arm study显示文摘Psoriasis is a common,chronic immune-mediated systemic disease that had no effective and durable treatment.Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)have immunomodulatory properties.Therefore,we performed a phase 1/2a,single-arm clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of human umbilical cord-derived MSCs(UMSCs)in the treatment of psoriasis and to preliminarily explore the possible mechanisms.Seventeen patients with psoriasis were enrolled and received UMsC infusions.Adverse events,laboratory parameters,PASl,and PGA were analyzed.We did not observe obvious side effects during the treatment and 6-month follow-up.A total of 47.1%(8/17)of the psoriasis patients had at least 40%improvement in the PASl score,and 17.6%(3/17)had no sign of disease or minimal disease based on the PGA score.And the efficiency was 25%(2/8)for males and 66.7%(6/9)for females.After UMSC transplantation(UMSCT),the frequencies of Tregs and CD4^(+)memory T cells were significantly increased,and the frequencies of T helper(Th)17 and CD4^(+)naive T cells were significantly decreased in peripheral blood(PB)of psoriasis patients.And all responders showed significant increases in Tregs and CD4^(+)memory T cells,and significant decreases in Th17 cells and serum IL-17 level after UMsCT.And baseline level of Tregs in responders were significantly lower than those in nonresponders.In conclusion,allogeneic UMSCT is safe and partially effective in psoriasis patients,and level of Tregs may be used as a potent biomarker to predict the clinical efficacy of UMSCT.Trial registration Clinical Trials NCT03765957. | Lamei Cheng Siqi Wang Cong Peng Xiao Zou Chao Yang Hua Mei Chuang Li Xian Su Na Xiao Qi Ouyang Mi Zhang Qiaolin Wang Yan Luo Minxue Shen Qun Qin Honglin Wang Wu Zhu Guangxiu Lu Ge Lin Yehong Kuang Xiang Chen | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,9: | 2 |

| 5 | Short-term exposure to fine particulate matter constituents and mortality:case-crossover evidence from 32 counties in China显示文摘A growing number of studies associated increased mortality with exposures to specific fine particulate(PM_(2.5))constituents,while great heterogeneity exists between locations.In China,evidence linking PM_(2.5)constituents and mortality was extensively sparse.This study primarily aimed to quantify short-term associations between PM_(2.5)constituents and non-accidental mortality among the Chinese population.We collected daily mortality records from 32 counties in China between January 1,2011,and December 31,2013.Daily concentrations of main PM_(2.5)constituents(organic carbon(OC),elemental carbon(EC),nitrate(NO_(3)^(-)),sulfate(SO_(4)^(2−)),and ammonium(NH_(4)^(+)))were estimated using the modified Community Multiscale Air Quality model.Time-stratified case-crossover design with conditional logistic regression models was adopted to estimate mortality risks associated with short-term exposures to PM_(2.5)mass and its constituents.Stratification analyses were done by sex,age,and season.A total of 116,959 non-accidental deaths were investigated.PM_(2.5)concentrations on the day of death were averaged at 75.7μg m^(−3)(control day:75.6μg m^(−3)),with an interquartile range(IQR)of 65.2μg m^(−3).Per IQR rise in PM_(2.5),EC,OC,NO_(3)^(-),SO_(4)^(2−),and NH_(4)^(+)at lag-04 day was associated with an increase in non-accidental mortality of 2.4%(95%confidence interval,(1.0–3.7),1.7%(0.8–2.7),2.9%(1.6–4.3),2.1%(0.4–3.9),1.0%(0.2–1.9),and 1.6%(0.3–2.9),respectively.Both PM_(2.5)mass and its constituents were strongly associated with elevated cardiovascular mortality risks,but only PM_(2.5),EC,and OC were positively associated with respiratory mortality at lag-3 day.PM_(2.5)mass and its constituents associated effects on mortality varied among sex-and age-specific subpopulations.Differences in the seasonal pattern of associations exist among PM_(2.5)constituents,with stronger effects related to EC and NO_(3)^(-)in warm months but SO_(4)^(2−)and NH_(4)^(+)in cold months.Short-term exposures to PM_(2.5)compositions were positively associated with increased risks of mortality,particularly those constituents from combustion-related sources. | Peixuan Zhou Jianlin Hu Chuanhua Yu Junzhe Bao Siqi Luo Zhihao Shi Yang Yuan Shaocai Mo Zhouxin Yin Yunquan Zhang | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,12: | 1 |
| 6 | Insights into the floatability between spodumene and albite from crystal chemistry standpoint显示文摘Spodumene is a silicate mineral rich in lithium.However,the gangue mineral,albite has similar crystal chemical structure and composition to spodumene.In this work,the density functional theory(DFT)calculation was taken to research the floatability from the perspective of crystal chemistry.And contact angle test and reagent adsorption test were used to support the simulation results.In addition,the weighted total density of broken bonds is proposed for the first time to judge the generation probability of cleavage surface.The DFT calculation results display that the Na and Al sites on the albite surface are the adsorption sites of water molecules.While the water molecules only bond with Al atom on the surface of spodumene and each Al site can adsorb only one water molecule.Thus,the wetting effect of water molecules on the albite surface is stronger than that of spodumene.This is consistent with the result of contact angle.In sodium oleate system,the oleic acid anion is adsorbed on the spodumene surface in form of a multicomponent ring while the albite is a single ring.Theoretically,oleic acid anion can be strongly adsorbed on the surface of spodumene and albite under vacuum.The adsorption strength of spodumene is higher than that of albite.However,on hydrated surface,the adsorption strength of oleic acid anion on mineral surface is greatly reduced due to the interaction between water molecules and metal site on mineral surface.Thus,spodumene and albite are hard to float without external activated ions in sodium oleate system. | Hepeng Zhou Fanxin Xie Yongbing Zhang Boyuan Zhang Siqi Yang Xianping Luo | 2022 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,6: | 1 |

| 13 | The Significance of Thermally Pulsing Asymptotic Giant Branch Stars in Post-starburst Galaxies显示文摘We measure the significance of thermally pulsing asymptotic giant branch(TP-AGB)stars via the spectral energy distributions(SEDs)of a sample of post-starburst(PSB)galaxies at z=0.2-0.7.Using ground-and space-based photometry from the 3D-HST catalog,as well as associated near-infrared(NIR)Hubble Space Telescope(HST)slitless grism spectroscopy,we evaluate the importance of TP-AGB stars in the SEDs of 177 PSB galaxies by fitting simple stellar populations with different levels of TP-AGB contributions.The grism spectra,despite their low resolution of R~100,enable the detection of molecular features specific to TP-AGB stars and thus improve constraints on their contribution.A majority(~70%)of galaxies in the PSB sample show features indicative of TPAGB stars,while the remainder does not and they are well fit by Bruzual&Charlot TP-AGB light models.Stacked spectra of sources classified to be the best fit by TP-AGB heavy/mild models reveal strong detections of NIR molecular features associated with TP-AGB stars.Additionally,we observe a tentative trend with redshift where more TP-AGB heavy galaxies are observed in the higher redshift PSB galaxy population.Finally,neglecting the contribution of TP-AGB stars can yield an over-prediction of stellar masses measured in the K-band ranging from 0.13-0.23 dex. | Siqi Liu A-Li Luo | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,1: | 0 |

| 15 | Application of eDNA Metabarcoding for Detecting Anura in North China显示文摘eDNA metabarcoding is an advanced method formonitoring biodiversityproposed in recent years.By analyzing DNA in water,soil and sediment samples,the technology obtains species distribution and population quantity information.It was found that macrobarcode technology is more accurate than the traditional method in measuring the species richness of some groups.In Europe,America and South America,the relia bility of this technology in monitoring amphibian diversity in the wild was studied,and it was found to be better than traditional biodiversity monitoring methods in detecting species diversity.At present,amphibian monitoring mainly depends on various traditional methods,such as transects,drift fence traps,artificial shelters and mark-recapture.These monitoring techniques have many shortcomings,such as low accuracy and strong subjectivity of study results.These technologies have poor effects on rare,invasive and endangered species with strong concealment ability,low density and strong seasonality and are difficult to implement in sites inaccessible to people.Traditional monitoring technology also requires considerable investment of human and material resources,and the economic cost is relatively high,while eDNA metabarcoding ismore efficient and less costly,so it is important to use eDNA meta barcoding in amphibian monitoring in China.In this study,the eDNA meta barcoding and traditional line transect method(TLTM)were used to study the characteristics of the two methods in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebeiregion.Repeated samplingwas conducted on 58 waterbodies in July 2019 and June 2020.After sequencing the samples using highthroughput sequencing technology,the differences between metabarcoding and commonly used TLTM surveys in detecting the diversity of four amphibians in North China were assessed.Our results showed that eDNA meta barcoding is more sensitive to the detection of the four amphibian species in the sampling area,and the combined use of eDNA metabarcoding and TLTM can improve the survey results of amphibians in the survey area to the greatest extent.In addition,in the process of species classification and identification of metabarcoding results,7 species of reptiles were detected,indicating that eDNA metabarcoding is also useful to detect reptiles.The results of this study indicate that metabarcoding in combination with TLTM can accurately estimate the diversityof amphibians in a short-term survey in North China and is also useful in reptile species detection. | Wenhao LI Mingshuo QIN Xianglei HOU Jiaqi ZHANG Siqi WANG Yu LI Zexu LUO Teng DENG Tianjian SONG Chunxia XU Xuan LIU Xuyu WANG Yiming LI | 2022 | Asian Herpetological Research2022,13,4: | 0 |
| 16 | Short-term effects of fine particulate matter constituents on myocardial infarction death显示文摘Existing evidence suggested that short-term exposure to fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))may increase the risk of death from myocardial infarction(MI),while PM_(2.5) constituents responsible for this association has not been determined.We collected 12,927 MI deaths from 32 counties in southern China during 2011–2013.County-level exposures of ambient PM_(2.5) and its 5 constituents(i.e.,elemental carbon(EC),organic carbon(OC),sulfate(SO_(4)^(2-)),ammonium(NH_(4)^(+)),and nitrate(NO_(3)^(-)))were aggregated from gridded datasets predicted by Community Multiscale Air Quality Modeling System.We employed a space-time-stratified casecrossover design and conditional logistic regression models to quantify the association of MI mortality with short-term exposure to PM_(2.5) and its constituents across various lag days.Over the study period,the daily mean PM_(2.5) mass concentration was 77.8(standard deviation(SD)=72.7)μg/m^(3).We estimated an odds ratio of 1.038(95%confidence interval(CI):1.003-1.074),1.038(1.013-1.063)and 1.057(1.023-1.097)for MI mortality associated with per interquartile range(IQR)increase in the 3-day moving-average exposure to PM_(2.5)(IQR=76.3μg/m 3),EC(4.1μg/m^(3))and OC(9.1μg/m^(3)),respectively.We did not identify significant association between MI death and exposure to water-soluble ions(SO_(4)^(2-),NH_(4)^(+)and NO_(3)^(-)).Likelihood ratio tests supported no evident violations of linear assumptions for constituents-MI associations.Subgroup analyses showed stronger associations between MI death and EC/OC exposure in the elderly,males and cold months.Short-term exposure to PM_(2.5) constituents,particularly those carbonaceous aerosols,was associated with increased risks of MI mortality. | Shaocai Mo Jianlin Hu Chuanhua Yu Junzhe Bao Zhihao Shi Peixuan Zhou Zhiming Yang Siqi Luo Zhouxin Yin Yunquan Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,11: | 0 |
| 17 | Facile Synthesis of Fe/Cr-Codoped ZnO Nanoparticles with Excellent Adsorption Performance for Various Pollutants显示文摘Adsorption is an effective and low-cost method for removing antibiotics and dyes. However, it remains a challenge to prepare an adsorbent with excellent adsorption properties for both various antibiotics and dyes. Herein, Fe/Cr-codoped ZnO with high adsorption capacity and fast adsorption rate are prepared by an environmentally friendly solvothermal method. Fe/Cr-codope ZnO with a diameter of 10–20 nm exhibits superior adsorption capacities for the antibiotics of tetracycline hydrochloride(TC-HCl)(826.45 mg g-1) and tetracycline(TC)(331.01 mg g-1), and anionic dyes of methyl orange(MO)(1023.88 mg g-1), methyl blue(MB)(726.26 mg g-1) and direct red(DR)(642.25 mg g-1). Meanwhile, it presents fast adsorption rate, it only took 30 min to reach more than 90% of the equilibrium adsorption amount for TC-HCl, TC, MO, MB and DR. The adsorption process closely fitted the Langmuir isotherm model and pseudo second-order rate equation. More importantly, simple method has been developed for separating the pollutant from the adsorbent, which not only regenerates the materials, but also completes the recovery of antibiotics and dyes, avoiding the secondary pollution. | 18 | Identification of the multiple bioactive derivatives and their endogenous molecular targets that may mediate the laxative effect of rhubarb in rats显示文摘Objective:To determine the mechanism of the laxative effect of rhubarb(Rheum tanguticum Maxim.ex Balf.)in rats using a combined bioinformatic and in vivo approach.Methods:Substances derived from rhubarb that are present in the colorectum were identified using high-performance liquid chromatography,coupled with linear ion-trap quadrupole Orbitrap highresolution mass spectrometry.The targets with a potential laxative effect were identified from databases and the literature,then used with rhubarb-derived substances in molecular docking modeling.The expression of candidate endogenous target molecules that bound specific components of rhubarb was then measured in constipated rats that had or had not been administered rhubarb by western blotting.Finally,potentially bioactive compounds were traced back to their prototype components.Results:We identified 17 anthraquinones and 21 anthrones derived from rhubarb in the colorectum of rats.G-scoring identified three potential mediators of the laxative effect:c-kit,5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 4(5-HT4),and aquaporin-3(AQP3).In addition,10 rhubarb-derived components(aloeemodin,emodin,rhein,chrysophanol,physcion,sennoside A,sennoside C,physcionanthrone,aloeemodinanthrone,and rheinanthrone),which have strong binding affinities for more than one of the three potential targets,were selected as likely active compounds.Rhubarb extract increased the expression of c-kit and 5-HT4,and reduced the expression of AQP3 in the colon of constipated rats,which might mediate its laxative effect.We also found that a single prototype component may be metabolized into several active metabolites,and a single active ingredient can also be generated from various prototype compounds.Conclusion:The present study demonstrates that various anthraquinones and anthrones present in rhubarb may be metabolized to form bioactive compounds that have additive or synergistic effects to promote defecation via c-kit,5-HT4 and/or AQP3. | Lei Xie Ying Wang Gan Luo Wenjuan Zhou Jiayan Miao Siqi Tang Qin Jiang Yage Guan Xiaoyan Gao | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,2: | 0 |
| 19 | Interfacial nitrogen engineering of robust silicon/MXene anode toward high energy solid-state lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Replacing the conventional carbonate electrolyte by solid-state electrolyte (SSE) will offer improved safety for lithium-ion batteries.To further improve the energy density,Silicon (Si) is attractive for next generation solid-state battery (SSB) because of its high specific capacity and low cost.High energy density and safe Si-based SSB,however,is plagued by large volume change that leads to poor mechanical stability and slow lithium ions transportation at the multiple interfaces between Si and SSE.Herein,we designed a self-integrated and monolithic Si/two dimensional layered T_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(MXene,T_(x) stands for terminal functional groups) electrode architecture with interfacial nitrogen engineering.During a heat treatment process,the polyacrylonitrile not only converts into amorphous carbon (a-C) that shells Si but also forms robust interfacial nitrogen chemical bonds that anchors Si and MXene.During repeated lithiation and delithiation processes,the robust interfacial engineered Si/MXene configuration enhances the mechanical adhesion between Si and MXene that improves the structure stability but also contributes to form stable solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI).In addition,the N-MXene provides fast lithium ions transportation pathways.Consequently,the Si/MXene with interfacial nitrogen engineering (denoted as Si-N-MXene) deliveres high-rate performance with a specific capacity of 1498 m Ah g^(-1) at a high current of 6.4 A g^(-1).A Si-N-MXene/NMC full cell exhibited a capacity retention of 80.5%after 200 cycles.The Si-N-MXene electrode is also applied to SSB and shows a relative stable cycling over 100 cycles,demonstrating the versatility of this concept. | Xiang Han Weijun Zhou Minfeng Chen Jizhang Chen Guanwen Wang Bo Liu Linshan Luo Songyan Chen Qiaobao Zhang Siqi Shi Ching-Ping Wong | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,4: | 0 |
