| 1 | Effect of carbon source on the denitrification in constructed wetlands显示文摘The ability of constructed wetlands with different plants in nitrate removal were investigated. The factors promoting the rates of denitrification including organic carbon, nitrate load, plants in wetlands, pH and water temperature in field were systematically investigated. The results showed that the additional carbon source (glucose) can remarkably improve the nitrate removal ability of the constructed wetland. It demonstrated that the nitrate removal rate can increase from 20% to more than 50% in summer and from 10% to 30% in winter, when the nitrate concentration was 30–40 mg/L, the retention time was 24 h and 25 mg/L dissolved organic carbon (DOC) was ploughed into the constructed wetland. However, the nitrite in the constructed wetland accumulated a little with the supply of the additional carbon source in summer and winter, and it increased from 0.15 to 2 mg/L in the effuent. It was also found that the abilities of plant in adjusting pH and temperature can result in an increase of denitrification in wetlands. | 2 | Nanoparticle monolayer-based flexible strain gauge with ultrafast dynamic response for acoustic vibration detection显示文摘The relatively poor dynamic response of current flexible strain gauges has prevented their wide adoption in portable electronics. In this work, we present a greatly improved flexible strain gauge, where one strip of Au nanoparticle (NP) monolayer assembled on a polyethylene terephthalate film is utilized as the active unit. The proposed flexible gauge is capable of responding to applied stimuli without detectable hysteresis via electron tunneling between adjacent nanoparticles within the Au NP monolayer. Based on experimental quantification of the time and frequency domain dependence of the electrical resistance of the proposed strain gauge, acoustic vibrations in the frequency range of 1 to 20,000 Hz could be reliably detected. | 4 | Clinical characteristics of 310 SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant patients and comparison with Delta and Beta variant patients in China显示文摘Although the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)Omicron variant has spread,data on the clinical characteristics of infected patients are limited.In this study,the demographic,clinical characteristics,and laboratory data of 310 SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant patients treated at Haihe Hospital of Tianjin were collected and analyzed.Information on these patients was compared to 96 patients with the Delta variant of concern(VOC)and 326 patients with the Beta VOC during the previous coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)outbreak in Harbin.Of the 310 patients infected with the Omicron variant,the median age was 35 years.Most patients were clinically classified as mild(57.74%),and the most common symptoms were cough(48.71%),fever(39.35%),and sore throat(38.26%).The results for different vaccination groups in the Omicron group showed that the median of“SARS-CoV-2 specific IgG”after 2 or 3 doses of vaccination was higher than the unvaccinated group(all Ps<0.05).Older age was associated with a higher proportion of moderate cases and lower asymptomatic and mild cases based on clinical classifications.Compared to the Delta and Beta groups,the median age of the Omicron group was younger.The total number of asymptomatic patients and mild patients in the Omicron virus group was higher than the Delta and Beta groups(60.97%vs.54.17%vs.47.55%).This study presented the clinical characteristics of the first group of patients infected with the Omicron variant in Tianjin,China,and compared their clinical features with patients infected by the Delta and Beta variants,which would increase our understanding of the characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant. | Wei Yang Songliu Yang Lei Wang Yuxin Zhou Yu Xin Hongxu Li Wenjing Mu Qi Wu Lei Xu Mingyan Zhao Changsong Wang Kaijiang Yu | 2022 | Virologica Sinica2022,37,5: | 4 |
| 5 | Effects of Pr on the structure and magnetic properties of FePt alloys显示文摘The effects of Pr on the structure and magnetic properties of PrxFe60.5-xPt39.5 alloys (x = 0, 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5) were investigated. X-ray diffraction data indicated that the phase transition temperature of FePt based alloys from disordered face-centered-cubic to ordered face-centered-tetragonal cubic decreases with the increase in Pr concentration. Pr plays the role of a grain refiner and it can enhance the exchange coupling between soft magnetic phase and hard magnetic phase. The results indicate that the replacement of Fe by Pr can significantly improve the remanence and coercivity of the Fe60.5Pt39.5 alloy. These results can be explained on the basis of phase transformation and microstructure. | 7 | Processes of small-scale tidal flat accretion and salt marsh changes on the plain coast of Jiangsu Province,China显示文摘Large-scaled reclamation modifies the coastal environment dramatically while accelerating the disappearance of salt marshes,which causes the degradation of the coastal ecosystem and the biodiversity function.In this study,we explored the changes of tidal flat and salt marsh coverage in a small-scale tidal flat with an area of ~160 000 m^2 in the plain coast of Jiangsu Province,China.Human activities(e.g.,the construction of dikes) are a crucial contributor that benefits for the tidal flat accretions and the following changes of salt marsh coverage.Located in the front of the man-made 'concave coastline',the study area is suitable for sediment accretion after the dike construction in the end of 2006.On the basis of the annual tidal surface elevation survey from 2007 to 2012,the sedimentation rates in the human influenced tidal flat varied from a few centimeters per year to 23 cm/a.The study area experienced a rapid accretion in the tidal flat and the expansion of the salt marsh,with the formation of a longshore bar,and a subsequent decline of the salt marsh.Breaking waves during the flooding tide brought much sediment from the adjacent tidal flat to the study area,which caused burial and degeneration of the salt marsh.The vertical grain size changes within a 66 cm long core in the study area also demonstrated the above changes in the tidal environment.This study indicates that the responses of small-scale tidal flat changes to reclamation are significant,and the rational reclamation would benefit for the new salt marsh formation in front of the dikes.Further research about the evolution of small scale tidal flat as well as the spatial planning of the polder dike should be strengthened for the purpose to maintain a healthier coastal environment. | ZHANG Yunfeng ZHANG Zhenke HE Huachun CHEN Yingying JIANG Songliu REN Hang | 2017 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,4: | 2 |

The self-assembled array with interparticle spacing of about 6 nm shows memory effect up to 200 K below its average blocking temperature of 260 K. And reducing the interparticle spacing of the self-assembled array via annealing can further enlarge the temperature range of memory effect up to room-temperature. The memory effect can be understood based on the thermal relaxation theory of single-domain magnetic nanoparticles. | 14 | Nanoporous Au-Sn with solute strain for simultaneously enhanced selectivity and durability during electrochemical CO2 reduction显示文摘Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction meditated by metallic catalysts suffers from restricted selectivity and competition from hydrogen evolution, which sensitively depends on ambiguous contributions of alloying and strain state in bimetallic catalysts. Herein, nanoporous Au-Sn(NPAS) containing trace tin solute in Au lattices is delicately designed to convince real strain effect, while eliminating other undesirable factors, such as alloying, crystal facets and surface composition. Compared with nanoporous gold(NPG), the NPAS with a solute strain of ~2.2% enables more efficient CO2-to-CO conversion, with an efficiency as high as 92% at-0.85 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(vs. RHE), and the high activity can retain for more than 8 h. The combination of HRTEM and surface valence band photoemission spectra reveals that the tensile strain on the surface of 3 D nanoporous structure promotes the catalytic activity by shifting up the d-band center and strengthening the adsorption of key intermediate *COOH. | 15 | Single-Phase Ternary Compounds with a Disordered Lattice and Liquid Metal Phase for High-Performance Li-Ion Battery Anodes显示文摘Si is considered as the promising anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)owing to their high capacities of 4200 mAh g-1and natural abundancy.However,severe electrode pulverization and poor electronic and Li-ionic conductivities hinder their practical applications.To resolve the afore-mentioned problems,we first demonstrate a cation-mixed disordered lattice and unique Li storage mechanism of single-phase ternary GaSiP_(2)compound,where the liquid metallic Ga and highly reactive P are incorporated into Si through a ball milling method.As confirmed by experimental and theoretical analyses,the introduced Ga and P enables to achieve the stronger resistance against volume variation and metallic conductivity,respectively,while the cation-mixed lattice provides the faster Li-ionic diffusion capability than those of the parent GaP and Si phases.The resulting GaSiP_(2)electrodes delivered the high specific capacity of 1615 mAh g-1and high initial Coulombic efficiency of 91%,while the graphite-modified GaSiP_(2)(GaSiP_(2)@C)achieved 83%of capacity retention after 900 cycles and high-rate capacity of 800 at 10,000 mA g-1.Furthermore,the LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)//Ga SiP_(2)@C full cells achieved the high specific capacity of 1049 mAh g-1after 100 cycles,paving a way for the rational design of high-performance LIB anode materials. | Yanhong Li Lei Zhang Hung-Yu Yen Yucun Zhou Gun Jang Songliu Yuan Jeng-Han Wang Peixun Xiong Meilin Liu Ho Seok Park Wenwu Li | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,5: | 0 |
| 16 | A class of Ga-Al-P-based compounds with disordered lattice as advanced anode materials for Li-ion batteries显示文摘Phosphides possess large reversible capacity, small voltage hysteresis, and high energy efficiency, thus promising to be new anode candidates to replace commercial graphite for Li-ion batteries(LIBs).Through a facile mechanochemistry method, we prepare a novel ternary phosphide of Ga0.5Al0.5P whose crystalline structure is determined to be a cation-disordered cubic zinc sulfide structure according to XRD refinement. As an anode for LIBs, the Ga0.5Al0.5P delivers a reversible capacity of 1,352 mA h g^(-1)at100 mA g^(-1)with an initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE) up to 90.0% based on a reversible Li-storage mechanism integrating intercalation and subsequent conversion processes as confirmed by various characterizations techniques including in-situ XRD, ex-situ Raman, and XPS and electrochemical characterizations.Graphite-modified Ga0.5Al0.5P exhibits a long-lasting cycling stability of retaining 1,182 mA h g^(-1)after300 cycles at 100 m A g^(-1), and 625 mA h g^(-1)after 800 cycles at 2,000 mA g^(-1), and a high-rate performance of remaining 342 m A h g^(-1)at 20,000 mA g^(-1). The outstanding electrochemical performances can be attributed to enhanced reaction kinetics enabled by the capacitive behaviors and the faster Liion diffusion enabled by the cation-mixing. Importantly, by tuning the cationic ratio, we develop a novel series of cation-mixed compounds of Ga_(1/3)Al_(2/3)P, Ga_(1/4)Al_(3/4)P, Ga_(1/5)Al_(4/5)P, Ga_(2/3)Al_(1/3)P, Ga_(3/4)Al_(1/4)P, and Ga_(4/5)Al_(1/5)P, which demonstrate large capacity, high ICE, and suitable anode potentials. | 17 | Effects of A-Cation Mismatch σ~2 on Transport Properties of Manganese Doped Oxide Perovskites显示文摘Three factors control the transition from paramagnetic insulator to ferromagnetic metal. The first is the hole doping. The second factor is the average ionic radius of the A site cation rA. The last one concerns the ionic size mismatch σ2 at the A site. In order to study the effect of σ2, a series of samples were prepared with constant value of x and rA. The measurement of resistivity versus temperature dependence under magnetic field (0 and 5 T) indicates that the insulator-metal transition temperature moves towards the low temperature region with increasing σ2. The magnetoresistance of La 0.53 Sm 0.17 Sr 0.3 MnO3 obtains its maximum at room temperature. Besides the transition similar to the Cu-free sample at ~260 K, a new transition at lower temperature appears for Cu-doped samples. The new transition moves toward low temperature with increasing of Cu content. A new conductive proceeding related to Cu ion may exist. Magnetoresistance at liquid nitrogen shows that MR increased three orders when x is changed from 0 to 0 15.
