2Identification of Hercynian shoshonitic intrusive rocks in central Hainan Island and its geotectonic implications显示文摘An identification has been made of some shoshonitic intrusive rocks in central Hainan Island recently. These rocks are K-rich (K2O=2.9%―5.1%, K2O/Na2O=0.95―2.12), distinctly enriched in LILE and LREE, strongly depleted in Nb, Ta, and moder- ately depleted in Sr and Ti, with (87Sr/86Sr)i = 0.70859―0.71425 and ε Nd(t) = (?2.77―?7.49). They were derived from an EMⅡ-type mantle source. The enrichment process is related to metasomatism of depleted mantle caused by a great amount of fluid-melt released from oceanic crust and terri- genous sediments at great depth (eclogite facies) during the subduction of the South China plate under the Indochina-South China Sea plate in the Carbon- iferous–Early Permian. A SHRIMP U-Pb zircon dating yields a crystallization age of 272±7 Ma for the sho- shonitic intrusions, which is coeval with the strongly peraluminous granites found in central Hainan Island. These two kinds of rocks generally possess syn-intrusion ductile deformation structures. Thus they are considered to have been generated during the early stage (syn-thrust phase) of a post-collisional event. The primary magma of shoshonitic rocks was produced at a depth > 80 km by decompression- dehydration melting of previously enriched litho- spheric mantle wedge, phlogopite-bearing garnet peridotite, which was in turn caused by the break-off of a descendent slab and upwelling of a hot as- thenosphere. The rising of melts was accompaniedby crustal contamination and crystallization fractiona- tion (AFC). Combining with other related data, it is proposed that the southwards subduction and amal- gamation of the South China plate with the Indo- China-South China Sea plate took place at ca. 287- 278 Ma, which was a part of the convergence proc- ess of the Pangea supercontinent. 3Induction of apoptosis by furanodiene in HL60 leukemia cells through activation of TNFR1 signaling pathway显示文摘Objective Curcuma wenyujin,named Ezhu in Chinese,a traditional Chinese medicine,which has been shown to possess anticarcinogenic activity and used for the treatment of tumor in China,for example,hepatic cancer and leukemia.β-elemene,a component of Curcuma wenyujin,was largely reported as a main active component for anti-tumor effect of Curcuma wenyujin.However,furanodiene,another main component of Curcuma wenyujin,was seldom investigated for its anti-tumor activities.In the present study,we aim to investigate the effect of furanodiene on human leukemia HL60 cells and to study the accurate molecular mechanisms of its action.Methods Trypan blue exclusion experiment was used for cell growth inhibition assay.The apoptotic characterizations were assessed by flow cytometry analysis,AO/EB staining assay and agarose gel electrophoresis assay.The expression of apoptosis-related proteins and the release of cytochrome c from mitochondrial were detected by western blotting,and the mRNA levels of TNF-α and TNFR1 were probed by RT-PCR.Formation of TNFR1 complex was analyzed by using immunoprecipitation of TNFR1 with TRRF1/2 and RIP.Results Furanodiene(10-100 μM)treatment inhibited the growth of HL60 cells in a concentration-dependent manner.The effect of furanodiene on HL60 cells was associated with the induction of apoptosis,which was characterized by DNA fragmentation,cleavage of poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase(PARP),caspase-3,caspase-8 and caspase-9.In the Bcl-2 family proteins,Bid protein(a substrate of caspase-8)was activated by furanodiene,but Bcl-2,Bax and Bcl-xL proteins were not inuenced by furanodiene stimulation.Furanodiene elicited cytochrome c release from mitochondria into the cytosol.Moreover,furanodiene treatment caused the upregulation of TNFR1,the formation of TNFR1 complex and an obvious production of TNF-α in HL60 cells.The soluble TNFR1 receptor effectively inhibited furanodiene-induced apoptosis.Conclusions Furanodiene inhibited the growth of HL60 leukemia cells via induction of apoptosis.Furanodiene-induced apoptosis in HL60 cells is mediated by upregulation of TNF receptor 1 as well as induction of TNF-α production to activate TNFR1 signaling pathway.Our research provides insight into the molecular mechanisms on furanodiene-induced cell death,and may aid to the development of furanodiene as a new anti-tumor agent.MA En-long1,WANG Xiao-long1,LI Yan-chun1,TAI Wen-jiao1,LI Te1,GUO Tao2(1.Department of Pharmacology,Shenyang Pharmaceutical University,Shenyang 110016,China 2.Department of Pharmacy,General Hospital of Shenyang Military Region,Shenyang 110016,China) 2008沈阳药科大学学报2008,25,S1:14

5Quantification of Panax notoginseng saponins metabolites in rat plasma with in vivo gut microbiota-mediated biotransformation by HPLC-MS/MS显示文摘Panax notoginseng saponins(PNS) are the major components of Panax notoginseng, with multiple pharmacological activities but poor oral bioavailability. PNS could be metabolized by gut microbiota in vitro, while the exact role of gut microbiota of PNS metabolism in vivo remains poorly understood. In this study, pseudo germ-free rat models were constructed by using broad-spectrum antibiotics to validate the gut microbiota-mediated transformation of PNS in vivo. Moreover, a high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry(HPLC-ESI-MS/MS) was developed for quantitative analysis of four metabolites of PNS, including ginsenoside F1(GF1), ginsenoside Rh2(GRh2), ginsenoside compound K(GCK) and protopanaxatriol(PPT). The results showed that the four metabolites could be detected in the control rat plasma, while they could not be determined in pseudo germ-free rat plasma. The results implied that PNS could not be biotransformed effectively when gut microbiota was disrupted. 6Application of next-generation sequencing technology to precision medicine in cancer: joint consensus of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology显示文摘Next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology is capable of sequencing millions or billions of DNA molecules simultaneously.Therefore, it represents a promising tool for the analysis of molecular targets for the initial diagnosis of disease, monitoring of disease progression, and identifying the mechanism of drug resistance. On behalf of the Tumor Biomarker Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology(CSCO) and the China Actionable Genome Consortium(CAGC), the present expert group hereby proposes advisory guidelines on clinical applications of NGS technology for the analysis of cancer driver genes for precision cancer therapy. This group comprises an assembly of laboratory cancer geneticists, clinical oncologists, bioinformaticians,pathologists, and other professionals. After multiple rounds of discussions and revisions, the expert group has reached a preliminary consensus on the need of NGS in clinical diagnosis, its regulation, and compliance standards in clinical sample collection. 7Understanding the China–US trade war:causes,economic impact,and the worst-case scenario显示文摘This paper studies the current trade war between China and the US from a historical standpoint.By comparing the ongoing trade war with similar trade conflicts in history,we reveal three major causes,with varying degrees of importance,from both economic and political perspectives.The trade war can principally be attributed to trade imbalances,the US midterm elections and rivalry over global economic dominance.As the fundamental conflicts between China and the US cannot be easily resolved,we hold a pessimistic view on the complete settlement of the trade war.In this paper,we perform a scenario analysis,which shows that in the worst-case scenario,China will suffer a 1.1%decrease in employment and a 1%GDP loss,which are not negligible,but manageable for China.Terence Tai Leung Chong Xiaoyang Li 2019Economic and Political Studies2019,7,2:14

9Panax notoginseng saponins prevent colitis-associated colorectal cancer development: the role of gut microbiota显示文摘Gut microbiota dysbiosis is a risk factor for colorectal cancer(CRC) in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).In this study, the effects of Panax notoginseng saponins(PNS) on colitis-associated CRC progression were evaluated on an azoxymethane(AOM)/dextran sulfate sodium(DSS) mouse model.In vivo, PNS significantly relieved AOM/DSS-induced colon tumorigenesis and development by reducing the disease activity index(DAI) scores and colon tumor load.The 16S rRNA data of fecal samples showed that the microbiome community was obviously destructed, while PNS could recover the richness and diversity of gut microbiota.Especially, PNS could increase the abundance of Akkermansia spp.which was significantly decreased in model group and negatively correlated with the progression of CRC.Moreover, ginsenoside compound K(GC-K) was evaluated on the effects of human CRC cells,which was the main bio-transformed metabolite of PNS by gut microbiota.Our data showed that PNS played important role in the prevention of the progression of CRC, due to their regulation on the microbiome balance and microbial bio-converted product with antiCRC activity.CHEN Ling CHEN Man-Yun SHAO Li ZHANG Wei RAO Tai ZHOU Hong-Hao HUANG Wei-Hua 2020Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2020,18,7:12
10The hepatotoxicity of Polygonum multiflorum: The emerging role of the immune-mediated liver injury显示文摘Herbal and dietary supplements(HDS)-induced liver injury has been a great concern all over the world.Polygonum multiflorum Thunb.,a well-known Chinese herbal medicine,is recently drawn increasing attention because of its hepatotoxicity.According to the clinical and experimental studies,P.multiflorum-induced liver injury(PM-DILI)is considered to be immune-mediated idiosyncratic liver injury,but the role of immune response and the underlying mechanisms are not completely elucidated.Previous studies focused on the direct toxicity of PM-DILI by using animal models with intrinsic drug-induced liver injury(DILI).However,most epidemiological and clinical evidence demonstrate that PM-DILI is immune-mediated idiosyncratic liver injury.The aim of this review is to assess current epidemiological,clinical and experimental evidence about the possible role of innate and adaptive immunity in the idiosyncratic hepatotoxicity of P.multiflorum.The potential effects of factors associated with immune tolerance,including immune checkpoint molecules and regulatory immune cells on the individual’s susceptibility to PM-DILI are also discussed.We conclude by giving our hypothesis of possible immune mechanisms of PM-DILI and providing suggestions for future studies on valuable biomarkers identification and proper immune models establishment.Tai Rao Ya-ting Liu Xiang-chang Zeng Chao-peng Li Dong-sheng Ou-Yang 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,1:11
11Beneficial Effect of Moderately Increasing Hypothermic Machine Perfusion Pressure on Donor after Cardiac Death Renal Transplantation显示文摘Background:Vascular resistance and flow rate during hypotherrnic machine perfusion (HMP)of kidneys is correlated with graft function. We aimed to determine the effects of increasing HMP pressure versus maintaining the initial pressure on kidney transplantation outcomes. Methods:We retrospectively reviewed the data of 76 primary transplantation patients who received HMP-preserved kidneys from 48 donors after cardiac death between September 1,2013,and August 31,2015.HMP pressure was increased from 30 to 40mmHg (1mmHg =0.133kPa)in kidneys with poor flow and/or vascular resistance (increased pressure [IP]group;36 patients);otherwise,the initial pressure was maintained (constant pressure group;40 patients).Finally,the clinical characteristics and transplantation outcomes in both groups were assessed. Results:Delayed graft function (DGF)incidence,1-year allograft,patient survival,kidney function recovery time,and serum creatinine level on day 30 were similar in both groups,with improved flow and resistance in the IP group.Among patients with DGF,kidney function recovery time and DGF duration were ameliorated in the IP group.Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that donor hypertension (odds ratio [OR]:1.43,95%confidence interval [CI]:1.02-2.06,P =0.035),donor terminal serum creatinine (OR:1.27,95%C7:1.06-1.62,P =0.023),warm ischemic time (OR:3.45,95%CI:1.97-6.37,P =0.002),and terminal resistance (OR:3.12,95%CI:1.76-6.09,P =0.012)were independent predictors of DGF.Cox proportional hazards analysis showed that terminal resistance (hazard ratio:2.06,95%C1:1.32-5.16,P =0.032)significantly affected graft survival. 12Modified FOLFIRINOX for unresectable locally advanced or metastatic gallbladder cancer,a comparison with GEMOX regimen显示文摘Background:The first-line chemotherapy regimen for advanced gallbladder cancer(GBC)is gemcitabine plus platinum(GP),despite its efficacy is limited.The current investigation is a retrospective study to compare the safety and efficacy between the modified FOLFIRINOX(mFOLFIRINOX)and gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin(GEMOX)as the first-line chemotherapy for unresectable locally advanced or metastatic GBC.Methods:The data of patients with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic GBC,who were treated with mFOLFIRINOX or GEMOX as the first-line therapy between April 2014 and April 2018 at Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine,were retrieved.This retrospective study evaluated the clinical characteristics,survival outcomes and adverse events.Results:A total of 44 patients(n=25 in mFOLFIRINOX,n=19 in GEMOX)were included.There were no significant differences between groups in baseline characteristics.The median progression free survival(mPFS)was 5.0 months in the mFOLFIRINOX group and 2.5 months in the GEMOX group[P=0.021;hazard ratio(HR),0.499;95%CI,0.266 to 0.937].The median overall survival(mOS)was 9.5 months in the mFOLFIRINOX group and 7.0 months in the GEMOX group(P=0.019;HR,0.471;95%CI,0.239 to 0.929).Disease control rate(DCR)was 76.0%in the mFOLFIRINOX group and 47.4%in the GEMOX group(P=0.051).The rate of grade 3-4 adverse events was 48%in the mFOLFIRINOX group and 36.8%in the GEMOX group(P=0.459).The incidence of grade 3-4 neutropenia and diarrhea were more common in the mFOLFIRINOX group,while the incidence of grade 3-4 thrombocytopenia and peripheral neuropathy were more common in the GEMOX group.Conclusions:mFOLFIRINOX might improve the poor prognosis of unresectable locally advanced or metastatic GBC,and the results need to be further verified by prospective clinical studies.Xu-Ya Cui Xue-Chuan Li Jiu-Jie Cui Xiang-Song Wu Lu Zou Xiao-Ling Song Tai Ren Yi-Di Zhu Huai-Feng Li Yang Yang Ke Liu Xu-Sheng Han Zi-Yao Jia Wen-Guang Wu Xu-An Wang Wei Gong Li-Wei Wang Mao-Lan Li Ying-Bin Liu 2021Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,4:10
13Experimental Determination of Significant Waveheight by OSMAR071: Comparison with Results from Buoy显示文摘OSMAR071 is the latest product of the OSMAR (ocean state monitor and analysis radar) series of high frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR), which was developed by the Radiowave Propagation Laboratory of Wuhan University. It adopts a modified Barrick waveheight inversion model. The modifications are introduced to improve the model's performances under the effect of noises and interferences and in the case of broad beam radar detection. The two unknown coefficients in the modified model are figured out by fitting the HFSWR significant waveheight results to those output from a wave buoy located in the radiating coverage of the radar site. The model is applied to inverse the waveheights from radar data for the duration from Dec. 1st, 2008 to Feb. 25th, 2009, and then the radar waveheights are compared with the buoy measurements. Results show that the rms difference between radar-derived significant waveheights and those from the buoy is 0.38 m and the correlation coefficient between the two series is 0.66. 14BAFF, involved in B cell activation through the NF-κB pathway, is related to disease activity and bone destruction in rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘B cell activating factor of TNF family(BAFF)is a member of TNF ligand superfamily and plays a key role in B cell homeostasis,proliferation,maturation,and survival.In this study,we detected BAFF level,the expressions of BAFF receptors and important molecules in NF-κB pathway in rheumatoid arthritis(RA)patients and analyzed the correlation between BAFF level and clinical variables,laboratory parameters or X-ray scores in order to elucidate the roles of BAFF in RA.A total of 50 RA patients and 50 healthy controls(HCs)were enrolled.We showed that the serum BAFF level in RA patients was significantly higher than that of HCs,and the percentages of B cell subsets(CD19^(+)B cells,CD19^(+)CD27^(+)B cells,CD19^(+)CD20^(+)CD27^(+)B cells,and CD19^(+)CD20−CD27^(+)B cells)in the serum of RA patients were significantly increased compared with those of HCs.The percentages of CD19^(+)BAFFR^(+)B cells,CD19^(+)BCMA^(+)B cells,and CD19^(+)TACI^(+)B cells in RA patients were significantly increased compared with those in HCs.The expression of important molecules in the NF-κB pathway(MKK3,MKK6,p-P38,p-P65,TRAF2,and p52)was significantly higher in RA patients than in HCs,but p100 level in RA patients was lower than that in HCs.The serum BAFF level was positively correlated with C-reactive protein,rheumatoid factor,disease activity score(in 28 joints),swollen joint counts,tender joint counts,and X-ray scores.When normal B cells were treated with BAFF in vitro,the percentages of the B cell subset and the expression of BAFF receptors were significantly upregulated.BAFF also promoted the expression of MKK3,MKK6,p-P38,p-P65,TRAF2,and p52.In conclusion,this study demonstrates that BAFF level is correlated with the disease activity and bone destruction of RA.BAFF is involved in the differentiation,proliferation,and activation of B cells in RA through NF-κB signaling pathway,suggesting that BAFF might be an ideal therapeutic target for RA.Ling-ling Zhang Hui Xiao Feng Zhang Yu-jing Wu Jin-ling Shu Ying Li Yu Tai Sheng-qian Xu Jian-hua Xu Wei Wei 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,10:9
15Effects of Ultra-drying on Viability and Physiological Characteristics of Platycladus orientalis Seed from Arid and Semiarid Areas of Northwest China显示文摘In order to supply quality seed for vegetation restoration in arid and semiarid areas of Northwest China, the effects of Platycladus orientalis seed storage under ultra-drying and accelerated aging were studied. The seeds were dried from 6.8% to 5.1%, 4.4%, 3.7% and 2.2% MC, respectively, in a desiccator with the silica gel. The germination energy, germination percentage, germination index and vigor index of the seed were investigated. After ultra-drying, groups of seeds were carried on the accelerated aging tests in an oven at 50 oC for 10, 20 and 30 d , respectively, and the physiological indexes, including relative conductivity, dehydrogenase activity and α-amylase activity were tested. The results show that the ultra-dried seeds with 3.7% MC have the highest germination energy, germination percentage, germination index and vigor index. After aging, the dehydrogenase activity and α-amylase activity of the group of seeds of 3.7% MC were higher than those of 6.8%, while the relative conductivity of the group of 3.7% is lower than that of 6.8%. 16Ultrafine particle emission characteristics of diesel engine by on-board and test bench measurement显示文摘This study investigated the emission characteristics of ultrafine particles based on test bench and on-board measurements. The bench test results showed the ultrafine particle number concentration of the diesel engine to be in the range of (0.56-8.35)×10 8cm-3. The on-board measurement results illustrated that the ultrafine particles were strongly correlated with changes in real-world driving cycles. The particle number concentration was down to 2.0×106cm-3 and 2.7×107cm-3 under decelerating and idling operations and as high as 5.0×108cm-3 under accelerating operation. It was also indicated that the particle number measured by the two methods increased with the growth of engine load at each engine speed in both cases. The particle number presented a 'U' shaped distribution with changing speed at high engine load conditions, which implies that the particle number will reach its lowest level at medium engine speeds. The particle sizes of both measurements showed single mode distributions. The peak of particle size was located at about 50-80nm in the accumulation mode particle range. 17Corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys in Na_2SO_4 solution using the scanning electrochemical microscopy technique显示文摘The corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys 1060 and 2A12 in a 10 mM Na2SO4+5 mM KI solution was investigated by scanning electrochemical microscopy(SECM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) . The potential topography and corrosion morphology results show that the potential of the sample surface over the same area changes with the increase of immersion time. The corrosion area becomes large,and the potential becomes more negative. The corrosion potential of the 2A12 alloy surface is lower than that of 1060 aluminum,and 2A12 alloy becomes easily corrosive. 19Mechanical behaviors of alumina ceramics doped with rare-earth oxides显示文摘The effects of three types of additives Y2O3,La2O3,and Sm2O3 on the sintering and mechanical behaviors of alumina ceramics were investigated.The bending strengths of alumina ceramics with Sm2O3 and Y2O3 additions were 455 and 439 MPa,respectively,higher than that with La2O3 addition.The fracture toughness of the ceramics with Sm2O3 and Y2O3 were also higher than that with La2O3 addition.The fracture mode of rare earth oxides doped alumina ceramics exhibited obvious transgranular fractures as well as intergranular fracture.The results of research show that the improvement of bending strength and fracture toughness of alumina ceramics with rare earth oxides was achieved by refining the grain size and strengthening the grain boundary.YAO Yijun LI Chuncheng WANG Ling JIANG Xiaolong QIU Tai 2010Rare Metals2010,29,5:8
20Respiratory Response of Dormant Nectarine Floral Buds on Chilling Deficiency显示文摘Changes in main biochemical respiratory pathways in dormant nectarine floral buds were studied with nectarine trees(Prunus persica var.nectariana cv.Shuguang)in order to determine the function of respiration in dormancy release.Oxygen-electrode system and respiratory inhibitors were used to measure total respiratory rates and rates of respiratory pathways.Results showed that chilling deficiency blocked the transition of respiratory mode,and made buds stay in a state of high level pentose phosphate pathway(PPP)and low level tricarboxylic acid cycle(TCA).The decline of PPP and activation of TCA occurred synchronously with the release of dormancy.In addition,the inhibition of PPP stimulated a respiration increase related with TCA.It could be concluded that the function of PPP activation in dormancy release might be limited and PPP declination inducing TCA activation might be part of respiration mode transition mechanism during bud sprouting.TAN Yue,GAO Dong-sheng,LI Ling,CHEN Xiu-de and XU Ai-hong State Key Laboratory of Crop Biology,National Research Center for Apple Engineering and Technology/College of Horticulture Science and Engineering,Shandong Agricultural University,Tai’an 271018,P.R.China 2010Agricultural Sciences in China2010,9,10:7
