1Investigation to meet China Ⅱ emission legislation for marine diesel engine with diesel methanol compound combustion technology显示文摘In order to reduce the pollutant emission and alleviate the pressure of petroleum resources shortage and greenhouse gas emission at the same time,the use of clean and renewable alternative fuel for marine engines is a promising option.In this study,a marine diesel engine,which was modified to run in diesel methanol compound combustion (DMCC) mode,was investigated.After the diesel injection parameters were calibrated,and combined with a sample after-treatment device DOC (diesel oxidation catalyst),the engine could meet the requirements of China II legislation.The overall MSP (methanol substitute percent) reached 54.1%.The value of each pollutant emission was much lower than that in China II emission legislation,and there was almost no methanol and formaldehyde emissions.When methanol was injected into the inlet manifold,the intake air temperature decreased a lot,as well as the exhaust gas temperature,which were beneficial to increase engine thermal efficiency and improve engine room environment.Compared with the engine running in pure diesel mode,when the engine ran in diesel/methanol dual fuel mode,the combustion phase was advanced,and the combustion duration became shorter.Therefore,the engine thermal efficiency increased,and fuel consumption decreased significantly.Hui Wang Anren Yao Chunde Yao Bin Wang Taoyang Wu Chao Chen 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,10:8
2Role of EGFL7/EGFR-signaling pathway in migration and invasion of growth hormone-producing pituitary adenomas显示文摘Currently, the primary therapeutic strategy for most growth hormone-producing pituitary adenomas(GHPA) is surgery. Due to the invasiveness of GHPA, high recurrence has limited the benefit of complete adenoma removal surgery. Epidermal growth factor-like domain 7(EGFL7) is a secreted factor implicated in tumor angiogenesis, growth, invasiveness and metastasis in GHPA. Herein, we observed that the expression level of EGFL7 and p-EGFR in invasive GHPAwas much higher than that of non-invasive GHPA. The overexpression of EGFL7 was positively correlated with activation of EGFR(p-EGFR). Noticeably, EGFL7 knockdown significantly inhibited activation of EGFR signaling cascades, including p-ERGR, p-AKT and p-ERK. Further studies showed that EGFL7 knockdown or pharmacological inhibition of EGFR-pathway, using EGFR inhibitor Tyrphostin AG-1478, significantly suppressed migration and invasion of GH3 and GT1-1 cells. 10Comparison between Plane and Stereo Block Adjustment for ZY-3 Satellite Images显示文摘Block adjustment for satellite images cannot be solved with weak convergence geometric conditions,therefore a plane block adjustment method to improve the targeting precision of images is proposed utilizing DEM as height constraint plane block adjustment method.First,a rational function model with affine transformation is selected as the mathematical model of the satellite image plane block adjustment.Second,to update the ground coordinates of tie points(TPs),the plane coordinates of TPs are only solved in the adjustment process.Elevation values are obtained by using DEM interpolation.Finally,the plane coordinates of all TPs and orientation parameters of all satellite images are solved through plane block adjustment with a few ground control points ZY-3 nadir images for two regions are tested for plane block adjustment while ZY-3 forward-nadir-back images of the same two regions are tested for stereo block adjustment.A comparison indicates that almost the same accuracy can be obtained with plane block adjustment support using a 1∶50 000 DEM and stereo block adjustment for ZY-3 images.For ZY-3 nadir images,almost no loss of plane block adjustment accuracy occurred when global DEM with 1 km grid and SRTM with 90 m grid replaced the 1∶50 000 DEM as elevation control,.Test results demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the plane block adjustment method.Taoyang WANG Guo ZHANG Deren LI Wanshou JIANG Xinming TANG Xuelin LIU 2018Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2018,1,1:1
11Study of Ni80Fe20/Fe50Mn50 superlattice microstructures by transmission electron microscopy and x—ray diffraction显示文摘The detailed microstructures of Ni80Fe20/Fe50Mn50 superlattices have been characterized using both x-ray diffraction techniques and transmission electron microscopy.The obrivous layered structure,typical column structure and twins which exist in Ni80Fe20/Fe50Mn50 superlattices were observed through performing transmission microscopy.By combining the technique of lowangle x-ray reflectivity(specular and off-specular scans)with the anomalous scattering effect and high-angle x-ray diffraction(using conventional x-ray),wequantitatively analysed the microstructural variation as a function of annealing temperature.It is found that the lateral correlation length,the(111)peak intensity of the superlattices and the average multilayer coherence length all increase with a rise in annealing temperature annealing can decrease the rootmean-square roughness at the interfaces of Ni80Fe20/Fe50Mn50 superlattices.the obtained microstructural knowledge will be helpful in understanding the magnetic properties of the ni80Fe20/Fe50Mn50 exchange bias system.MingXu TaoYang GuangmingLuo ZhengqiLu CuixiuLiu NingYang Zhenh 2001Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility2001,,2:0
12KCTD4 interacts with CLIC1 to disrupt calcium homeostasis and promote metastasis in esophageal cancer显示文摘Increasing evidences suggest the important role of calcium homeostasis in hallmarks of cancer,but its function and regulatory network in metastasis remain unclear.A comprehensive investigation of key regulators in cancer metastasis is urgently needed.Transcriptome sequencing(RNA-seq)of primary esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)and matched metastatic tissues and a series of gain/loss-of-function experiments identified potassium channel tetramerization domain containing 4(KCTD4)as a driver of cancer metastasis.KCTD4 expression was found upregulated in metastatic ESCC.High KCTD4 expression is associated with poor prognosis in patients with ESCC and contributes to cancer metastasis in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistically,KCTD4 binds to CLIC1 and disrupts its dimerization,thus increasing intracellular Ca^(2+)level to enhance NFATc1-dependent fibronectin transcription.KCTD4-induced fibronectin secretion activates fibroblasts in a paracrine manner,which in turn promotes cancer cell invasion via MMP24 signaling as positive feedback.Furthermore,a lead compound K279-0738 significantly suppresses cancer metastasis by targeting the KCTD4-CLIC1 interaction,providing a potential therapeutic strategy.Taken together,our study not only uncovers KCTD4 as a regulator of calcium homeostasis,but also reveals KCTD4/CLIC1-Ca^(2+)-NFATc1-fibronectin signaling as a novel mechanism of cancer metastasis.These findings validate KCTD4 as a potential prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for ESCC.Cancan Zheng Xiaomei Yu Taoyang Xu Zhichao Liu Zhili Jiang Jiaojiao Xu Jing Yang Guogeng Zhang Yan He Han Yang Xingyuan Shi Zhigang Li Jinbao Liu Wen Wen Xu 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,10:0
13Significance of differential allelic expression in phenotypic plasticity and evolutionary potential of microbial eukaryotes显示文摘Background:Differential allelic expression(DAE)plays a key role in the regularion of many biological processes,and it may also play a role in adaptive evolution.Recently,environment-dependent DAE has been observed in species of marine phytoplankton,and most remarkably,alleles that showed the highest level of DAE also showed the fastest rate of evolution.Methods:To better understand the role of DAE in adaptive evolution and phenotypic plasticity,we developed a 2-D cellular automata model“DAEsy-World”that builds on the classical Daisyworld model.Results:Simulations show that DAE delineates the evolution of alternative alleles of a gene,enabling the two alleles to adapt to different environmental conditions and sub-functionalize.With DAE,the build-up of genetic polymorphisms within genes is driven by positive selection rather than strict neutral evolution,and this can enhance phenotypic plasticity.Moreover,in sexually reproducing organisms,DAE also increased the standing genetic variation,augmenting a species’adaptive evolutionary potential and ability to respond to fluctuating and/or changing conditions(cf,genetic assimilation).We furthermore show that DAE is likely to evolve in fluctuating environmental conditions.Conclusions:DAE increases the adaptive evolutionary potential of both sexual and asexually reproducing organisms,and it may affect the pattern of nucleotide substitutions of genes.Ben P.Tatman Thomas Mock Taoyang Wu Cock van Oosterhout 2021Quantitative Biology2021,9,4:0
14Thin-layer Spectroelectrochemistry of 3,3′,5,5′-Tetramethyl-benzidine on Pt Minigrid Optically Transparent Electrode显示文摘The electrooxidation behavior of 3, 3′,5, 5′-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB) was investigated using a platinum minigrid optically transparent thin-layer spectroelectrochemical cell. TMB underwent one two-electron electrooxidation process to yield quinonediimine in the pH range from 2.0 to < 4.0, and two consecutive one-electron electrooxidation processes, gave the mediate product free radical of TMB first, then gave the oxidation product quinonediimine in the pH range from 4.0 to < 7.0. In the pH range from 7.0 to 10.0, the electrooxidation of TMB was also one two-electron electrooxidation process to yield an azo compound. 15Changes of Damage Associated Molecular Patterns in COVID-19 Patients显示文摘Background:The development of severe coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is associated with systemic hyperinflammation,which drives multi-organ failure and death.Disease deterioration tends to occur when the virus is receding;however,whether other factors besides viral products are involved in the inflammatory cascade remains unclear.Methods:Twenty-eight COVID-19 patients with laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection hospitalized at the Fifth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from January 23 to February 20,2020 and nine healthy donors during the same period were recruited in the study.COVID-19 patients were grouped as mild,moderate,severe based on disease severity.Plasma damage-associated molecular patterns(DAMPs),including high mobility group box 1(HMGB1),calprotectin(S100A8/A9),surfactant protein A(SP-A),cold-inducible RNA-binding protein(CIRBP),and Histone H4 were detected by ELISA assay,and analyzed in combination with clinical data.Plasma cytokines,chemokines and lymphocytes were determined by flow cytometry.Results:Plasma levels of HMGB1(38292.3±4564.4 vs.32686.3±3678.1,P=0.002),S100A8/A9(1490.8±819.3 vs.742.2±300.8,P=0.015),and SP-A(6713.6±1708.7 vs.5296.3±1240.4,P=0.048)were increased in COVID-19 patients compared to healthy donors,while CIRBP(57.4±30.7 vs.111.9±55.2,P=0.004)levels decreased.Five DAMPs did not vary among mild,moderate,and severe patients.Moreover,SP-A levels correlated positively with inflammatory cytokines and negatively with time elapsed after symptom onset,whereas CIRBP showed an opposite pattern.Conclusions:These findings suggest SP-A may involve in the inflammation of COVID-19,while CIRBP likely plays a protective role.Therefore,DAMPs represent a potential target in the prevention or treatment of COVID-19.Xing Fan Jin-Wen Song Si-Yu Wang Wen-Jing Cao Xiu-Wen Wang Ming-Ju Zhou TaoYang Chun-Bao Zhou Jun Hou Ji-Yuan Zhang Fan-Ping Meng Ming Shi Fu-Sheng Wang Chao Zhang 2021Infectious Diseases & Immunity2021,1,1:0

17Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of Co_(85)Cr_(50)/Pt multilayers显示文摘The CoCr/Pt bilayers and (CoCr/Pt)20 multilayers with Pt underlayer were prepared by DC magnetron sputtering. The effects of prepared condition on perpendicular magnetic anisotropy were investigated. The results show that the thickness of Pt underlayer has a great effect on the microstructure and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of CoCr/Pt bilayers and (CoCr/Pt)20 multilayers.When the thickness of Pt underlayer increases, Pt(111) and CoCr(002) peaks of both CoCr/Pt bilayers and (CoCr/Pt)20 multilayers increase and the bilayer periodicity of the multilayers is improved. The effective magnetic anisotropy of (CoCr/Pt)20 multilayers with Pt underlayer was much larger than that of CoCr/Pt bilayers. The (CoCr/Pt)20 multilayers has a stronger perpendicular magnetic anisotropy than that of CoCr/Pt bilayers. 18Deep eutectic solvent-based gel electrolytes for flexible electrochromic devices with excellent high/low temperature durability显示文摘With the increasing interest in the application of electrochromism to flexible and wearable electronics in recent years,flexible electrochromic devices(ECDs)that can function at extreme temperatures are required.However,the functionalities of flexible ECDs are severely hampered by the inadequate choice of electrolytes,which might ultimately result in performance fading during low-and high-temperature operations.Here,we develop a deep eutectic solvent(DES)-based gel electrolyte that can maintain its optical,electrical,and mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures(-40 to 150℃),exhibiting an extremely high visible-range transmittance over 90%,ion conductivity of 0.63 mS cm^(-1),and fracture strain exceeding 2000%.Owing to the excellent processability of the DES-based electrolytes,provided by dynamic interactions such as the lithium and hydrogen bonding between the DES and polymer matrix,a directly written patterning in ECDs is realized for the first time.The fabricated ECDs exhibit an excellent electrochromic behavior superior to the behavior of the ECDs fabricated with traditional gel electrolytes.The introduction of such DES-based electrolytes is expected to pave the way for a widespread application of electrochromic products.Peiyan Sun Jian Chen Yaowu Li Xueqing Tang Hongzhao Sun Ge Song Xinyang Mu Taoyang Zhang Xiuling Zha Feifan Li Yanfeng Gao Shan Cong Zhigang Zhao 2023InfoMat2023,5,2:0
