| 1 | Effects of grain boundary ternary alloy doping on corrosion resistance of(Ce,Pr,Nd)-Fe-B permanent magnets显示文摘To satisfy the application of different environments,grain boundary doping is commonly used in the preparation of sintered magnets to improve the coercivity and the corrosion resistance.In this paper,the alloys were prepared by mixing different ratios of the master alloy(Ce,Pr,Nd)-Fe-B and the sintering aid(Pr,Nd)-Al.The coercivity of sintered(Ce,Pr,Nd)-Fe-B magnet is substantially enhanced by doping 2 wt%of(Pr,Nd)-Al,while the maximum energy product decreases slightly.We systematically investigated the corrosion behavior and micro structure of the sintered magnets in order to determine the mechanism of the degradation.The sintered(Ce,Pr,Nd)-Fe-B magnets with 2 wt% of(Pr,Nd)-Al addition exhibit the decreasing corrosion rate compared with others,due to the distribution of intergranular phases.The electrode potential difference between the main phase and the RE-rich phase is reduced by the addition of Al,improving the potential and stability of RE-rich phase due to the higher electrode potential of Al than that of Nd,Pr or Ce.In addition,the element distribution of the magnets doped by(Pr,Nd)-Al indicates that the Al-rich shell formed at the marginal area of the Ce-rich phase improves its stability.Therefo re,intergranular adding te rnary(Pr,Nd)-Al alloy powders results in both high coe rcivity and good corrosion resistance synchronously. | Xin Wang Minggang Zhu Feng Xi Meiling Zhang Fei Liu Yingjian Guo Lele Zhang Guangrui Zhang Wei Li | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,8: | 6 |
| 2 | Effects of environmental contaminants on fertility and reproductive health显示文摘Recent research indicates that the human infertility rate is increasing. Although various reasons have been hypothesized for the growing infertility rate, environmental contaminants are potentially important causal agents associated with this change.Chemical contaminants are widespread throughout our environment and human exposure is virtually unavoidable. The overall contribution of environmental exposure to infertility is unknown, but studies involving occupational exposure, together with results from animal experiments, suggest that environmental contaminants may adversely affect fertility. We reviewed the adverse effects of environmental exposure on fertility and related reproductive outcomes. Environmental contaminants covered in this review include heavy metals, organic solvents, pesticides and endocrine disrupting chemicals. | 3 | Rheological behaviors of coal slime produced by filter-pressing显示文摘It is an effective way to use coal slime as fuel for circulating fluidized bed boilers, which will not only solve its pollution to the environment, but also turn waste to treasure. In order to provide basic technical information for transportation of coal slime from the coal preparation plant to the boiler, this paper experimentally studied the rheological behaviors of coal slime produced by filter-pressing. By using a rotational viscometer, the influences of water content, temperature, and shear time on the rheological behaviors of coal slime were investigated. Experimental results show that the coal slime will behave like Bingham plastics with low water content and like Bingham pseudo-plastics with 37.5% water content,while like pseudo-plastics with 40% water content. This indicates that the water content of coal slime must be controlled in consideration of both transportation resistance and combustion efficiency. Study results also show that, the apparent viscosity of coal slime at 5℃ is about 1.5–1.7 times of that at 40℃ for water contents 32%–37.5%, while the influence of temperature can be neglected when the water content is 40%. With increasing of water content, the influences of shear time on the apparent viscosity of coal slime becomes less. When the water content is more than 30%, the effect of shear time is negligible. It indicates that water content has the most important influence on the rheological behaviors of coal slime. There must be an optimal water content in considering conveying resistance and combustion efficiency. | 4 | Refined chronology of prehistoric cultures and its implication for re-evaluating human-environment relations in the Hexi Corridor,northwest China显示文摘The reconstruction of high-resolution chronologies for prehistoric cultures is a prerequisite for understanding the history of human evolution and its relationship with environmental change, and is valuable for exploring the trajectory of transcontinental cultural exchanges in prehistoric time. The Hexi Corridor of northwest China was one of the earliest centers for long-distance culture exchange in the prehistoric world. The timing and sequence of cultural changes in this area remains poorly understood resulting from the lack of radiometric age control. This paper presents a refined radiocarbon(14 C) chronology to resolve the timing of human occupation and cultural evolution in the Hexi Corridor. Radiocarbon dating of crop remains, which have an annual life cycle, has the advantage of eliminating problems such as the carbon stored in ‘old wood’. As a result,14C dates from crop remains are used to test the validity of the14C dates derived from charcoal, bone and plant remains. The resultant database of ages is modelled using the Bayesian approach. The updated chronology presented in this paper shows generally good agreement with the original dates used to constrain cultural evolution in the Hexi Corridor. However, the occupation of the corridor by the Shajing and Shanma Late Bronze Age-Early Iron Age cultures appears to have taken place ~300 years later than previously thought. | 6 | The RNA-binding protein Musashi2 governs osteoblast-adipocyte lineage commitment by suppressing PPARγsignaling显示文摘Osteoporosis caused by aging is characterized by reduced bone mass and accumulated adipocytes in the bone marrow cavity. How the balance between osteoblastogenesis and adipogenesis from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) is lost upon aging is still unclear. Here, we found that the RNA-binding protein Musashi2(Msi2) regulates BMSC lineage commitment. Msi2 is commonly enriched in stem cells and tumor cells. We found that its expression was downregulated during adipogenic differentiation and upregulated during osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs. Msi2 knockout mice exhibited decreased bone mass with substantial accumulation of marrow adipocytes, similar to aging-induced osteoporosis. Depletion of Msi2 in BMSCs led to increased adipocyte commitment. Transcriptional profiling analysis revealed that Msi2 deficiency led to increased PPARγ signaling.RNA-interacting protein immunoprecipitation assays demonstrated that Msi2 could inhibit the translation of the key adipogenic factor Cebpα, thereby inhibiting PPAR signaling. Furthermore, the expression of Msi2 decreased significantly during the aging process of mice, indicating that decreased Msi2 function during aging contributes to abnormal accumulation of adipocytes in bone marrow and osteoporosis. | 7 | A Silicon Monoxide Lithium-Ion Battery Anode with Ultrahigh Areal Capacity显示文摘Silicon monoxide(SiO)is an attractive anode material for next-generation lithium-ion batteries for its ultra-high theoretical capacity of 2680 mAh g−1.The studies to date have been limited to electrodes with a rela-tively low mass loading(<3.5 mg cm^(−2)),which has seriously restricted the areal capacity and its potential in practical devices.Maximizing areal capacity with such high-capacity materials is critical for capitalizing their potential in practi-cal technologies.Herein,we report a monolithic three-dimensional(3D)large-sheet holey gra-phene framework/SiO(LHGF/SiO)composite for high-mass-loading electrode.By specifically using large-sheet holey graphene building blocks,we construct LHGF with super-elasticity and exceptional mechanical robustness,which is essential for accommodating the large volume change of SiO and ensuring the structure integrity even at ultrahigh mass loading.Additionally,the 3D porous graphene network structure in LHGF ensures excellent electron and ion transport.By systematically tailoring microstructure design,we show the LHGF/SiO anode with a mass loading of 44 mg cm^(−2)delivers a high areal capacity of 35.4 mAh cm^(−2)at a current of 8.8 mA cm^(−2)and retains a capacity of 10.6 mAh cm^(−2)at 17.6 mA cm^(−2),greatly exceeding those of the state-of-the-art commercial or research devices.Furthermore,we show an LHGF/SiO anode with an ultra-high mass loading of 94 mg cm^(−2)delivers an unprecedented areal capacity up to 140.8 mAh cm^(−2).The achievement of such high areal capacities marks a critical step toward realizing the full potential of high-capacity alloy-type electrode materials in practical lithium-ion batteries. | Jiang Zhong Tao Wang Lei Wang Lele Peng Shubin Fu Meng Zhang Jinhui Cao Xiang Xu Junfei Liang Huilong Fei Xidong Duan Bingan Lu Yiliu Wang Jian Zhu Xiangfeng Duan | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,3: | 4 |

| 9 | Inducible expression of Wnt7b promotes bone formation in aged mice and enhances fracture healing显示文摘There remain unmet clinical needs for safe and effective bone anabolic therapies to treat aging-related osteoporosis and to improve fracture healing in cases of nonunion or delayed union. Wnt signaling has emerged as a promising target pathway for developing novel bone anabolic drugs. Although neutralizing antibodies against the Wnt antagonist sclerostin have been tested,Wnt ligands themselves have not been fully explored as a potential therapy. Previous work has demonstrated Wnt7b as an endogenous ligand upregulated during osteoblast differentiation, and that Wnt7b overexpression potently stimulates bone accrual in the mouse. The earlier studies however did not address whether Wnt7b could promote bone formation when specifically applied to aged or fractured bones. Here we have developed a doxycycline-inducible strategy where Wnt7b is temporally induced in the bones of aged mice or during fracture healing. We report that forced expression of Wnt7b for 1 month starting at 15 months of age greatly stimulated trabecular and endosteal bone formation, resulting in a marked increase in bone mass. We further tested the effect of Wnt7b on bone healing in a murine closed femur fracture model. Induced expression of Wnt7b at the onset of fracture did not affect the initial cartilage formation but promoted mineralization of the subsequent bone callus. | 10 | Development of a Label-Free Colorimetric Aptasensor with Rationally Utilized Aptamer for Rapid Detection of Okadaic Acid显示文摘Okadaic acid(OA)is a typical marine toxin with strong toxicity causing diarrheic shellfish poisoning(DSP).Aptamers show great advantages in toxin detection and attract increasing attentions in the field of food analysis.In this study,a label-free col-orimetric aptasensor was constructed for visual and rapid detection of OA in shellfish.To exploit the binding capability of the anti-OA aptamer,the inherent molecular recognition mechanism of aptamer and OA was studied,based on molecular docking,fluorescent assay,and biolayer interferometry.Consistent results showed that the stem-loop near the 3’terminal of the aptamer exhibit dominate binding capacity.Based on the revealed recognition information,the aptamer was thus rationally utilized and combined with AuNPs and cationic polymer polydiallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride(PDDA)for the development of the label-free colorimetric aptasensor,in which the 3’terminal was thoroughly exposed to OA.The aptasensor provided robust performance with a linear detection range of 100-1200 nmol L-1,a limit of detection of 41.30 nmol L-1,recovery rates of 91.6%-106.2%,as well as a high selectivity towards OA in shellfish samples.The whole detection process can be completed within 1 h.To our best knowledge,this is the first time that the anti-OA aptamer was thoroughly studied,and a label-free colorimetric aptasensor was rationally designed in this way.This study not only provides a rapid detection method for highly sensitive and specific detection of OA,but also serves as a reference for the design of efficient aptasensors in the future. | YAN Xiaochen QI Xiaoyan ZHAO Yinglin LI Ling MA Rui WANG Lele WANG Sai MAO Xiangzhao | 2022 | Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,2: | 2 |

| 13 | Sensing carboxylesterase 1 in living systems by a practical and isoformspecific fluorescent probe显示文摘Carboxylesterase 1(CES1), one of the most abundant serine hydrolases in mammals, has drawn much attentions in recent years, owing to this enzyme involves in many physiological processes via hydrolysis of both endogenous esters and xenobiotic esters. Herein, to real-time monitor the activities of CES1 in various biological systems, a practical and iso form-specific fluorescent probe was developed on the basis of the substrate preference of CES1, as well as the structural and optical properties of BODIPY dyes. After screening of a panel of BODIPY ester derivatives, probe 1 displayed the best combination of specificity,sensitivity, enzymatic kinetics and applicability for monitoring CES1 activities in real samples. This probe was successfully used to detect CESl activities in several biological systems including tissue preparations,living cells, tissue slices and zebrafish. Furthermore, the biomedical applications of probe 1 for screening of CES1 inhibitors were also demonstrated using tissue preparations or living cells as enzyme sources. | 16 | Late Paleozoic Element Migration and Accumulation under Intracontinental Sinistral Strike-slip Faulting in the West Junggar Orogenic Belt, NW China显示文摘The migration,accumulation and dispersion of elements caused by tectonic dynamics have always been a focus of attention,and become the basis of tectono-geochemistry.However,the effects of faulting,especially strike-slip faulting,on the adjustment of geochemical element distribution,are still not clear.In this paper,we select the West Junggar Orogenic Belt(WJOB),NW China,as a case study to test the migration behavior of elements under tectonic dynamics.The WJOB is dominated by NE-trending large-scale sinistral strike-slip faults such as the Darabut Fault,the Mayile Fault,and the Baerluke Fault,which formed during the intracontinental adjustment under N-S compression during ocean-continental conversion in the Late Paleozoic.Geochemical maps of 13 elements,Al,W,Sn,Mo,Cu,Pb,Zn,As,Sb,Hg,Fe,Ni,and Au,are analyzed for the effects of faulting and folding on element distribution at the regional scale.The results show that the element distribution in the WJOB is controlled mainly by two mechanisms during tectonic deformation:first is the material transporting mechanism,where the movement of geological units is consistent with the direction of tectonic movement;second is the diffusion mechanism,especially by tectonic pressure dissolution driven by tectonic dynamics,where the migration of elements is approximately perpendicular or opposite to the direction of tectonic movement.We conclude that the adjustment of element distributions has been determined by the combined actions of transporting and diffusion mechanisms,and that the diffusion mechanism plays an important role in the formation of geochemical Au blocks in the WJOB. | WANG Ye CHEN Xuanhua NIE Lanshi DING Weicui WANG Xueqiu XU Shenglin MA Feizhou HAN Lele | 2020 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,6: | 1 |

| 19 | Synthesis of Ag@Cu_2O core-shell metal-semiconductor nanoparticles and conversion to Ag@Cu core-shell bimetallic nanoparticles显示文摘Ag@Cu2O core-shell metal-semiconductor nanoparticles(NPs) were prepared by using solution phase strategy. It was found that Ag@Cu2O core-shell NPs were easily converted to Ag@Cu bimetallic core-shell NPs with the help of surfactant PVP and excessive reducer ascorbic acid in air at room temperature, which is a unique phenomenon. Varying volumes of Ag colloidal solutions were added into the reaction mixtures containing fixed initial concentrations of Cu2+ and PVP, Ag@Cu2O and Ag@Cu core-shell NPs with fixed core size but varying outer shell thicknesses could be obtained. The composites, structures, morphologies and extinction properties of Ag@Cu2O and Ag@Cu core-shell NPs were systematically characterized by XRD, TEM and extinction spectra. Both of these NPs show wide tunable optical properties. The extinction peaks could be shifted from 421 nm to 700 nm. FTIR results reveal that Cu+ ions on the surface of Cu2 O nanocrystalline coordinate with N and O atoms in PVP and further are reduced to metallic Cu by excessive ascorbic acid and then form a nucleation site on the surface of Cu2 O nanocrystalline. PVP binds onto a different site to proceed with the reduction until all the Cu sources in Cu2 O NPs are completely assumed. And the shell of Cu2 O is converted to Cu shell. The synthesis approach in this paper is simple and also a promising reference for synthesizing other core-shell NPs.
