Economic power dispatch in smart grids: a framework for distributed optimization and consensus dynamics显示文摘By using the distributed consensus theory in multi-agent systems, the strategy of economic power dispatch is studied in a smart grid, where many generation units work cooperatively to achieve an optimal solution in a local area. The relationship between the distributed optimization solution and consensus in multi-agent systems is first revealed in this paper, which can serve as a general framework for future studies of this topic. First, without the constraints of capacity limitations, it is found that the total cost for all the generators in a smart grid can achieve the minimal value if the consensus can be reached for the incremental cost of all the generation units and the balance between the supply and demand of powers is kept. Then, by designing a distributed consensus control protocol in multi-agent systems with appropriate initial conditions, incremental cost consensus can be realized and the balance for the powers can also be satisfied. Furthermore, the difficult problem for distributed optimization of the total cost function with bounded capacity limitations is also discussed. A reformulated barrier function is proposed to simplify the analysis, under which the total cost can reach the minimal value if consensus can be achieved for the modified incremental cost with some appropriate initial values. Thus, the distributed optimization problems for the cost function of all generation units with and without bounded capacity limitations can both be solved by using the idea of consensus in multi-agent systems, whose theoretical analysis is still lacking nowadays. Finally, some simulation examples are given to verify the effectiveness of the results in this paper.Wenwu YU Chaojie LI Xinghuo YU Guanghui WEN Jinhu LU 2018Science China(Information Sciences)2018,61,1:13
Targeting cancer stem cell pathways for cancer therapy显示文摘Since cancer stem cells(CSCs)were first identified in leukemia in 1994,they have been considered promising therapeutic targets for cancer therapy. These cells have self-renewal capacity and differentiation potential and contribute to multiple tumor malignancies, such as recurrence, metastasis, heterogeneity, multidrug resistance, and radiation resistance. The biological activities of CSCs are regulated by several pluripotent transcription factors, such as OCT4,Sox2,Nanog,KLF4,and MYC.In addition, many intracellular signaling pathways, such as Wnt,NF-κB(nuclear factor-κB),Notch,Hedgehog,JAK-STAT(Janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription),PI3K/AKT/mTOR(phosphoinositide 3-kinase/AKT/mammalian target of rapamycin),TGF(transforming growth factor)/SMAD,and PPAR(peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor),as well as extracellular factors, such as vascular niches,hypoxia,tumor-associated macrophages,cancer-associated fibroblasts,cancer-associated mesenchymal stem cells, extracellular matrix, and exosomes, have been shown to be very important regulators of CSCs.Molecules, vaccines, antibodies, and CAR-T(chimeric antigen receptor T cell)cells have been developed to specifically target CSCs,and some of these factors are already undergoing clinical trials. This review summarizes the characterization and identification of CSCs,depicts major factors and pathways that regulate CSC development, and discusses potential targeted therapy for CSCs.Liqun Yang Pengfei Shi Gaichao Zhao Jie Xu Wen Peng Jiayi Zhang Guanghui Zhang Xiaowen Wang Zhen Dong Fei Chen Hongjuan Cui 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:12
Complex Cyber-Physical Networks: From Cybersecurity to Security Control显示文摘Complex cyber-physical network refers to a new generation of complex networks whose normal functioning significantly relies on tight interactions between its physical and cyber components. Many modern critical infrastructures can be appropriately modelled as complex cyber-physical networks. Typical examples of such infrastructures are electrical power grids, WWW, public transportation systems, state financial networks, and the Internet. These critical facilities play important roles in ensuring the stability of society as well as the development of economy. Advances in information and communication technology open opportunities for malicious attackers to launch coordinated attacks on cyber-physical critical facilities in networked infrastructures from any Internet-accessible place. Cybersecurity of complex cyber-physical networks has emerged as a hot topic within this context. In practice, it is also very crucial to understand the interplay between the evolution of underlying network structures and the collective dynamics on these complex networks and consequently to design efficient security control strategies to protect the evolution of these networks. In this paper, cybersecurity of complex cyber-physical networks is first outlined and then some security enhancing techniques, with particular emphasis on safety communications, attack detection and fault-tolerant control, are suggested. Furthermore, a new class of efficient secure control strategies are proposed for guaranteeing the achievement of desirable pinning synchronization behaviors in complex cyber-physical networks against malicious attacks on nodes. The authors hope that this paper motivates to design enhanced security strategies for complex cyber-physical network systems, to realize resilient and secure critical infrastructures.WEN Guanghui YU Wenwu YU Xinghuo Lü Jinhu 2017Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2017,30,1:11
Forms and Balance of Nitrogen and Phosphorus in Cage Culture Waters in Guangdong Province, China显示文摘In order to approach the characteristics of nitrogen and phosphorus pollution caused by cage culture and the balance of nitrogen and phosphorus during the process of cage culture, a monitoring was conducted in Daya Bay of Guangdong Province, China from April 2002 to Jane 2003. The results show that the concentrations of total nitrogen (TN) in the waters at the sites with five and ten years of cage culture history are 1.8 and 2.3 times of that at control site respectively. Ammonium (NH3-N) is the main form of nitrogen in spring while nitrate ( NO3 -) in winter. The concentrations of TN, total dissolved nitrogen (TDN) and dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) are highest in autumn. The concentration of phosphorus increases with the increasing of the culturing time, among which phosphate ( PO 34-) increases most obviously. The concentrations of total phosphorus (TP) and total dissolved phosphorus (TDP) are highest in autumn. The nitrogen and phosphorus are accumulated significantly in the sediment of cage culture area. The model of N balance in the cage culture area: bait (70.62%) + fry (0.28%) + input by tide (14.8%) + release from sediment (14.3%) = harvest of adult fish (12.07%) + deposition into sediment (28.75%) + output by tide (56.18%) + others (3.00%). The model of P balance: bait (83.11%) + fry (0.17%) + input by tide (12.23%) + release from sediment (4.49%) = harvest of adult fish (8.43%) + deposition into sediment (48.59%) + output by tide (41.94%) + others (1.04%). In one fish growth year, the contents of nitrogen and phosphorus in harvest of adult fish are only 17.0% and 10.1% of the contents of nitrogen and phosphorus in fish bait and fry, wherein 83% of nitrogen and more than 89% of phosphorus in fish bait became marine pollutants.WEN Yanmao WEI Xiange SHU Tingfei ZHOU Jingfeng YU Guanghui LI Feng HUANG Yanyun 2007Chinese Geographical Science2007,17,4:9
Distributed cooperative anti-disturbance control of multi-agent systems: an overview显示文摘This paper reviews some main results and recent progress in distributed cooperative anti-disturbance control(DCADC) of multi-agent systems. Compared with anti-disturbance control in single systems, DCADC is more challenging because of the existence of coupling in multi-agent systems and the aim is to design distributed cooperative control based on the local information of each agent. This paper is concerned with some kinds of DCADC methods, such as distributed cooperative variable structure control, distributed cooperative sliding mode control, distributed cooperative disturbance-observer-based control, and distributed cooperative output regulation control approaches. Some future research topics regarding DCADC methods are also pointed out.Wenwu YU He WANG Huifen HONG Guanghui WEN 2017Science China(Information Sciences)2017,60,11:5
DTDE:A new cooperative multi-agent reinforcement learning framework显示文摘A significant body of work on reinforcement learning has been focused on the single-agent tasks where the agent aims to learn a policy thatmaximizes the cumulative reward in a dynamic environment.1 In the past decades, quite a few single-agent-based reinforcement learning algorithms have been developed in the literature.1 Yet,it is increasingly recognized that the single-agentbased reinforcement learning algorithms may fail to effectively handle largescale optimization(decision)tasks with joint features.Guanghui Wen Junjie Fu Pengcheng Dai Jialing Zhou 2021The Innovation2021,2,4:4

Berlin Green Framework‑Based Gas Sensor for Room‑Temperature and High‑Selectivity Detection of Ammonia显示文摘Ammonia detection possesses great potential in atmosphere environmental protection, agriculture, industry, and rapid medical diagnosis. However,it still remains a great challenge to balance the sensitivity, selectivity, working temperature, and response/recovery speed. In this work,Berlin green(BG)framework is demonstrated as a highly promising sensing material for ammonia detection by both density functional theory simulation and experimental gas sensing investigation.Vacancy in BG framework offers abundant active sites for ammonia absorption, and the absorbed ammonia transfers sufficient electron to BG,arousing remarkable enhancement of resistance.Pristine BG framework shows remarkable response to ammonia at 50–110°C with the highest response at 80°C,which is jointly influenced by ammonia’s absorption onto BG surface and insertion into BG lattice. The sensing performance of BG can hardly be achieved at room temperature due to its high resistance.Introduction of conductive Ti3CN MXene overcomes the high resistance of pure BG framework, and the simply prepared BG/Ti3CN mixture shows high selectivity to ammonia at room temperature with satisfying response/recovery speed.Tingqiang Yang Lingfeng Gao Wenxuan Wang Jianlong Kang Guanghui Zhao Delong Li Wen Chen Han Zhang 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,4:2

A chattering free consensus controller for multiple Lur'e systems with a non-autonomous leader and directed switching topology显示文摘Achieving asymptotical cooperative goal for multi-agent systems(MASs)with non-autonomous leaders(i.e.,leaders with nonzero inputs)is a critical but challenging issue.Traditional approach is to use discontinuous controllers which may cause chattering phenomenon in practical applications. How to achieve the asymptotical goal via a chattering free cooperative controller remains to be open so far.In this paper,an adaptive continuous controller is designed to achieve zero error consensus tracking in multiple Lur’e systems with a non-autonomous leader under directed switching topology.Firstly,an unknown input observer(UIO)based on relative outputs is given to estimate the relative full states. Then an adaptive continuous controller is designed by introducing a decay function which remains positive into the term that plays the role of eliminating the impacts of leader’s nonzero inputs.Secondly,by using multiple Lyapunov functions(MLFs)technique,it is proven that zero error consensus tracking can be achieved if the average dwell time(ADT)is greater than a positive threshold. Finally, theoretical result is verified by performing simulations on Chua’s circuits.Compared with existing work, the proposed controller can not only achieve asymptotical consensus, but also is chattering free.WANG PeiJun YU WenWu WEN GuangHui YU XingHuo HUANG TingWen 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,4:1

Networked Knowledge and Complex Networks:An Engineering View显示文摘Along with the development of information technologies such as mobile Internet, information acquisition technology, cloud computing and big data technology, the traditional knowledge engineering and knowledge-based software engineering have undergone fundamental changes where the network plays an increasingly important role.Within this context,it is required to develop new methodologies as well as technical tools for network-based knowledge representation, knowledge services and knowledge engineering.Obviously, the term“network”has different meanings in different scenarios.Meanwhile, some breakthroughs in several bottleneck problems of complex networks promote the developments of the new methodologies and technical tools for network-based knowledge representation, knowledge services and knowledge engineering. This paper first reviews some recent advances on complex networks, and then,in conjunction with knowledge graph, proposes a framework of networked knowledge which models knowledge and its relationships with the perspective of complex networks. For the unique advantages of deep learning in acquiring and processing knowledge, this paper reviews its development and emphasizes the role that it played in the development of knowledge engineering. Finally, some challenges and further trends are discussed.Jinhu Lü Guanghui Wen Ruqian Lu Yong Wang Songmao Zhang 2022IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,8:1
DeceFL:a principled fully decentralized federated learning framework显示文摘Traditional machine learning relies on a centralized data pipeline for model training in various applications;however, data are inherently fragmented.Such a decentralized nature of databases presents the serious challenge for collaboration:sending all decentralized datasets to a central server raises serious privacy concerns.Although there has been a joint effort in tackling such a critical issue by proposing privacy-preserving machine learning frameworks, such as federated learning, most state-of-the-art frameworks are built still in a centralized way,in which a central client is needed for collecting and distributing model information(instead of data itself)from every other client, leading to high communication burden and high vulnerability when there exists a failure at or an attack on the central client. Here we propose a principled decentralized federated learning algorithm(DeceFL),which does not require a central client and relies only on local information transmission between clients and their neighbors, representing a fully decentralized learning framework. It has been further proven that every client reaches the global minimum with zero performance gap and achieves the same convergence rate O(1=T)(where T is the number of iterations in gradient descent)as centralized federated learning when the loss function is smooth and strongly convex. Finally, the proposed algorithm has been applied to a number of applications to illustrate its effectiveness for both convex and nonconvex loss functions,time-invariant and time-varying topologies,as well as IID and Non-IID of datasets, demonstrating its applicability to a wide range of real-world medical and industrial applications.Ye Yuan Jun Liu Dou Jin Zuogong Yue Tao Yang Ruijuan Chen Maolin Wang Chuan Sun Lei Xu Feng Hua Yuqi Guo Xiuchuan Tang Xin He Xinlei Yi Dong Li Guanghui Wen Wenwu Yu Hai-Tao Zhang Tianyou Chai Shaochun Sui Han Ding 2023National Science Open2023,2,1:1

Analysis of Autocorrelation Associated with Spatial Sampling Estimation on Urban Greenland Coverage显示文摘By taking the urban greenland as testing objective, the GeoEye-1 fusion image as background, and using Moran’s index, the correlativity of greenland units has been measured. Then, the presampling was conducted based on the measured correlativity, the systematic sampling design has been carried out at the precision 95%and 85%.By using of Kriging interpolation method, the weight of different type of greenland has been divided into the stratifications.Through the stratified sampling, the estimation of greenland coverage has been obtained. The results show that the urban greenland coverage area is 14.81 km^2,accounting for 27.73%of all urban land areas.Compared with the common sampling method, the precision of that increased about 3%. This method can also be utilized in monitoring dynamic variation of urban greenland with the real time images.Sun Haohan She Guanghui Wen Xiaorong Lin Guozhong 2012Chinese Forestry Science and Technology2012,11,3:0
Estimation and Analysis of Green Land Variation Based on Similarity Theory显示文摘The similarity theory was systematically introduced,by combining the theory and the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),and taking the dynamic changes of two-stage green land patches in Shenzhen as an example, the patches similarity of each district and each green land type were estimated. The location, shape and areas of green land unit were used as the similarity elements. Then the similarity coefficients can be defined. The overlapping number of green land patches indicated the location variation of green land. The ratio of minimum and maximum shape index of green land indicated the shape variation of green land. With the same method, the areas variation coefficient was also obtained. The results shows that based on similarity theory and method the estimation of green land variation is feasible, which can provide effective methods and accordance for the further assessment of green land development in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.Wang Fang Wen Xiaorong Lin Guozhong She Guanghui 2012Chinese Forestry Science and Technology2012,11,3:0
Pinning Synchronization of Coupled Oscillators with Paired Topologies显示文摘This paper investigates the pinning synchronization of a group of coupled oscillators, where both the dissipative and restorative interactions are taken into consideration. The paired coupling topologies are introduced to capture this feature of the dynamics. To realize the synchronization of the coupled oscillators, the pinning control is introduced, and two pinning criteria are proposed to ensure the synchronization. Both these two proposed criteria provide sufficient and necessary conditions for pinning synchronization of the coupled oscillators with paired topologies.Simulation examples are illustrated to verify the proposed theoretical results.ZHANG Miaosen LU Yuezu WANG Qishao WEN Guanghui LIU Guohua XU Wenying 2022Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2022,35,5:0
Dynamic Response Analysis of Semi-Submersible Floating Wind Turbine with Different Wave Conditions显示文摘To address the problem of poor wave resistance of existing offshore floating wind turbines,a new type of semisubmersible platform with truncated-cone-type upper pontoons is proposed by combining the characteristics of offshore wind turbine semi-submersible floating platforms.Based on the coupled hydrodynamic, aerodynamic, and mooring force physical fields of FAST,the surge, heave, pitch, and yaw motions responses of the floating wind turbine under different wave heights and periods are obtained, and the mooring line tension responses are also obtained;and compare the dynamic response of the new semi-submersible platform with the OC4-DeepCwind platformat six degrees of freedom. The results show that different wave conditions have obvious effects on the heave and pitch motions of the new floating wind turbine, and fewer effects on the surge and yaw motions;the tensegrity response of the mooring system is more affected by the wave conditions;compared with the OC4-DeepCwind floating wind turbine, the pitch and roll response of the new floating wind turbine has been significantly reduced and has good stability.Mingzhen Jiang Guanghui Qiao Jiwen Chen Xuemei Huang Leian Zhang Yongshuang Wen Yuhuan Zhang 2023Energy Engineering2023,120,11:0
