1Concise and efficient direct-view generation of arbitrary cylindrical vector beams by a vortex half-wave plate显示文摘A concise, efficient, and practical direct-view scheme is presented to generate arbitrary cylindrical vector(CV)beams, including CV beams, vortex beams, and cylindrical vector vortex(CVV) beams, by a vortex half-wave plate(VHP). Six kinds of first-order and other high-order CV beams, such as azimuthally polarized(AP) beams, antivortex radial polarization mode beams, and three-order AP beams, are formed by simply rotating a half-wave plate. The Stokes parameters and double-slit interference of multitype CV beams are investigated in detail.The polarization parameters, including degree of polarization, polarization azimuth, and ellipticity, are obtained,which demonstrates the efficient generation of CV beams. In addition, the double-slit interference experiment is introduced in the setup, and fringe misplacement and tilt appear for CVV beams, in which the misplacement number M is 2P+1 for P ≤ 2 and 2P-1 for P ≥ 3, where P is the polarization order number, and the fringe tilt offset is positively related to the topological charge number l of CVV beams. In addition, new types of VHPs can be formed by cascading two or more VHPs when the types of available VHPs are limited, assisting in more flexible generation of multitype CV beams. 3Pre-expanded bipedicled visor flap:an ideal option for the reconstruction of upper and lower lip defects postburn in Asian males显示文摘Background:Reconstruction of upper and lower lip subunits is a complicated and elusive challenge.For patients affected by defects involving upper and lower lip subunits,a technique able to reconstruct both aesthetic units with matched colour,sufficient contours and similar texture would be ideal.In this study,we present our experience with upper and lower lip reconstruction using the pre-expanded bipedicled visor flap.Methods:From January 2014 to January 2017,12 male patients presenting with defects of the upper and lower lip subunits were treated using this surgical technique.After a period of expansion of the scalp flap of over 6 months,the bipedicled visor flap was raised from both the parietal regions and rotated to resurface the defect.Delay and section of the pedicle were then performed.Results:Twelve male patients with postburn scars aged 22 to 48 years(mean:34 years)were successfully treated with no major complications.The donor site was closed primarily in all cases.Subsequent flap debulking and minor revisions were performed under local anaesthesia between 6 and 12 months postoperatively.Conclusions:The pre-expanded bipedicled visor flap provides an effective and reliable option for upper and lower lip reconstruction with excellent colour and texture.It is feasible to achieve these results simultaneously from a single donor site by using a pre-expanded bipedicled visor flap.Peiru Min Jie Li Beniamino Brunetti Zheming Pu Weijie Su Wenjing Xi Zheng Zhang Rosa Salzillo Shaoqing Feng Yixin Zhang 2020Burns & Trauma2020,8,1:1

5Chinese herbal medicine for incomplete immune reconstruction in patients with AIDS undergoing antiretroviral treatment: A systematic review of randomized trials显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Chinese herbal medicines(CHMs)for incomplete immune reconstruction in patients with HIV/AIDS.Methods:Eight electronic databases were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on the use of CHM for patients with HIV/AIDS with incomplete immune reconstruction.Outcomes included CD4þcell count,quality of life,and adverse events/effects.The Cochrane Risk of Bias was employed to evaluate the methodological quality of the included RCTs.Results:We identified 13 eligible RCTs,with an overall high risk of bias,on 10 different CHMs.There was a significant increase in CD4þcell count after the use of Jianpi Yiqi medicinal paste for 3 months;tripterygium glycosides tablets(TGTs)for 3 months(mean difference[MD]52.63 cells/mL,95%confidence interval[CI,46.98,58.28]),6,9,and 12 months;Wenshen Jianpi granules for 6 months;Shenling Fuzheng capsules for 6 months(MD 49.53 cells/mL,95%CI[8.45,90.61])and 12 months;Aikeqing granules for 9 months(MD 61.51 cells/mL,95%CI[16.25,106.77])and 12 months;Guipi decoction for 12 months;Mianyi No.2 granules(JT)for 12 and 18 months;and Chinese medicine granules for 18 months.The increase in the mean difference of CD4þcell count from 6 to 18 months was larger in Chinese medicine granules and Mianyi No.2 granules(JT).Guipi decoction and Jianpi Qushi decoction improved the Karnofsky score.Four RCTs reported the outcome of adverse events/effects,while four cases of minor adverse effects were reported in the TGTs group.Conclusion:Jianpi Yiqi medicinal paste,Wenshen Jianpi granules,Shenling Fuzheng capsules,Aikeqing granules,Guipi decoction,and TGTs may be effective in increasing CD4þwithin 12 months,and Mianyi No.2 granules(JT)and Chinese medicine granules may show long-term effects.High-quality large RCTs on the effectiveness and safety of CHMs are still warranted.Chen Shen Jing Li Yajun Lian Huidi Lan Fenglan Pu Wenjing Zhang Lingyao Kong Jianping Liu 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2021,8,4:0

7Scheme Based on Multi-Level Patch Attention and Lesion Localization for Diabetic Retinopathy Grading显示文摘Early screening of diabetes retinopathy(DR)plays an important role in preventing irreversible blindness.Existing research has failed to fully explore effective DR lesion information in fundus maps.Besides,traditional attention schemes have not considered the impact of lesion type differences on grading,resulting in unreasonable extraction of important lesion features.Therefore,this paper proposes a DR diagnosis scheme that integrates a multi-level patch attention generator(MPAG)and a lesion localization module(LLM).Firstly,MPAGis used to predict patches of different sizes and generate a weighted attention map based on the prediction score and the types of lesions contained in the patches,fully considering the impact of lesion type differences on grading,solving the problem that the attention maps of lesions cannot be further refined and then adapted to the final DR diagnosis task.Secondly,the LLM generates a global attention map based on localization.Finally,the weighted attention map and global attention map are weighted with the fundus map to fully explore effective DR lesion information and increase the attention of the classification network to lesion details.This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method through extensive experiments on the public DDR dataset,obtaining an accuracy of 0.8064.Zhuoqun Xia Hangyu Hu Wenjing Li Qisheng Jiang Lan Pu Yicong Shu Arun Kumar Sangaiah 2024Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,140,7:0
